I purchased my dress from a large store (on sale...no returns!) before quickly realizing that it was far too big and rather complex with lots of layers, lace, etc. Luckily for us, Carole was able to work her magic! When she was done with it, it truly felt like a custom dress, and I absolutely love it. She also made a beautiful custom veil, which was just what the dress needed.Carole has an eye for design like is no one I have met. On top of that, she is fun, kind and professional. Carole Kenney completely blew me away with her vision, talent, and dedication as she created the custom wedding dress of my dreams. From the very first meeting, she really listened to me and was able to build upon my limited and rudimentary ideas to design and create something completely magical. Each and every fitting was incredible as I watched my dress come to life and I could not have felt more beautiful (or comfortable!) on my big day. All of my friends and family wanted to know where I could have found such a perfect, unique, and flawlessly-fitting dress, and they were amazed to learn that it was truly one of a kind. My custom dress became much more than I ever imagined and Carole had so many wonderful ideas throughout the process. I really appreciated each of her ingenious suggestions, from design elements that would be most flattering on my frame to the best way to incorporate beadwork from my grandmother’s wedding dress so that she could be part of our special occasion. I am SO happy that I found Carole Kenney Design. While there were lots of things that caused me serious anxiety throughout the wedding planning process, my dress alterations were NOT one of them. I had called around several places before deciding to meet with Carole. The first place told me they did alterations on wedding dresses in a week, what? Are you serious? No that isnt right, I knew that my dress was going to need to be worked on over the course of several appointments! If I had gone with that place, my dress would have been a disaster! Another place told me that they were booked solid for four months, UGH. Thank goodness I called Carole just in time! She fit me in on a holiday weekend, the day before Fourth July, and from the first moment we met I knew I was in good hands!Carole is a perfectionist, which is exactly what you want when it comest to getting that perfect fits like a glove fit for your wedding dress! My dress needed a LOT of work but Carole was more than up for the job! She gave me an estimate that day with low, medium and high ranges, and ended up below the highest number she gave me. No, she is not cheap! But she will get the job done right! There are lots of places to cut corners with budget when wedding planning but your dress alterations are not one of those places!My dress had long sleeves that were too tight, a bodice that was too big, and to top it off my dress was so long I definitely would have been tripping over it all day. Carole got the bodice fitting just right so my waist looked small, and she put bra cups in so I didnt have to wear a bra (necessary since the back was open!) She also hemmed all bajillion layers of my dress so I could wear flats and not trip! She actually had to entirely reconstruct the sleeves on my dress so that I could hug people without ripping the dress! She also put in the most beautiful bustle! Carole is clearly very passionate about her work and that is exactly what you want!Carole was great to work with, by the end of all of our appointments I was sad that she wasnt coming to our wedding because she played such an integral part!She even took a last minute hemming job for my moms dress TWO DAYS before the wedding, LIFE SAVER!!! I dont know what we would have done without her!All in all, my dress came out fitting like a glove, as promised! I got so many compliments on how well it fit! Thank you Carole for making my dream dress fit like a dream!

Carole did an amazing job altering my daughter’s wedding gown. She is a talented artist who brought creativity and skill to the process. She is so nice and fun it make the whole experience very enjoyable. I would highly recommend her.

Brides look no further, Carole Kenney Design is awesome and has my highest recommendation for your wedding dress alternations! A week before my wedding, I picked up my dress from another alternation firm only to be disappointed with the fit and hearing the words “there is nothing we can do, it is beyond our expertise.” Yes, I have to admit they were honest, but I left their shop in tears and having no idea where to go to correct the situation. Thankfully, I found Carole Kenney Design through a Google search. I contacted Carole and explained my situation and through my tears she was able to see me the same day. I arrived at my appointment, and was greeted by Carole who is so professional, kind and caring that she put my mind to ease. She took the time to understand the prior alternations and knew right away what needed to be done to make gown fit perfectly. I left Carole shop with reassurance, excitement and complete trust she would make me love my dress again. With five days before my wedding, a dress fitting was in order. Carole was absolutely right, I love the way my dress fit. Carole is an amazing women and did an amazing job! Carole Kenney made me a one of a kind wedding dress from the train of my grandmothers satin dress and some lace ribbon that also belonged to my grandmother. She sewed the lace ribbon onto silk mesh, for the sleeves and back of the dress in a beautiful pattern. Her attention to detail is outstanding and she really understood what I wanted. She was able to transform a vision I had in my head into a work of art that is just right for me. She is so down to earth and professional and does amazing work. Her prices are very reasonable for the high quality of work that she does.

We have been using Carole Kenney for the last 3 years to help with the design of our designer hospital gowns for our business, Annie & Isabel. Carole is an amazing seamstress/designer with a great eye for detail. We came to Carole with the idea of what we wanted in our product and she was able to not only give us other recommendations but develop a prototype for our product that we have been using for the last 3 years. Carole is truly a master of her skill! My wedding dress was 2 sizes too big and had tons of layers, but Carole did an absolutely amazing job making it fit like a glove and look like a dream! I could not be any happier. She was also very thorough and clear about the process all throughout. I did not stress or worry about a thing - I had complete trust in her ability. So very grateful for all her hard work and I cannot wait to show it off at my wedding next summer!!

Carole did an incredible job repairing and fitting my great grandmothers wedding dress for me. This would be the fourth wedding for this family heirloom and she did a wonderful job cleaning the fragile lace, repairing the delicate details, as well as fitting it me (definitely the largest/tallest person to ever wear the dress) exactly on schedule. We couldnt have trusted this piece of family history to anyone better.
