We got off to a great start but had to cancel our scheduled appointment due to illness. Called multiple times to reschedule with ZERO response. I guess they dont need our money.
We selected Kurtis Kitchen & Bath for their selections. Not using their services we did on our own hiring other professionals. What a mess. Cabinets came in in good shape. When my installer began to put upper cabinets in they came to a point one cabinet in the middle of the run was wrong. The diagram said one size, the box said one size, however what was shipped was different and I had to really convince the sales person it was wrong and would not fit. He said he would rush the order thru. 5 weeks later it came into the warehouse other side of town. I had to reschedule a date, a week later. Later to find out it could have been shipped to showroom which is 1 mile from my home, and I could have picked up from there. Diagram also did not show where a filler for the base cabinet needed to go. Countertop company installed top however there are five areas that are rough and need polishing. Still have not heard back about that. Because the job is not done with KKB installers I needed to deal with the countertop company. Countertop company said that we needed to go thru Kurtis Kitchen, because the order is thru Kurtis Kitchen. Due to the incorrect cabinet size and delayed shipping, and my installers schedule, the other cabinets still have not been installed. It seems once you place an order with them you are on your own, even if the order is wrong. Very very disappointed in Kurtis Kitchen & Bath.
I am not going to elabotate in depth about names and places, but if you are not going to accept the fact that I am going to ask you questions before giving you my $60,000 or more, then I dont need your bussines. Not even taking in consideration our concerns and treating us like a threat or insult to you, that is poor customer service. Very dissapointed! This is an update to our post. This is completely inaccurate response from this bussiness. You clearly do not take our opinion in consideration. A serious owner would try to contact us and clarify what the siruation was. It makes me believe that the response was provided by the designer herself who showed no respect towards us. She is not being sincere when she says that we were abusive to her in both meetings. Actually the misscomunication situation between us happened on our second meeting. The first meeting went just great. Only when we challenged the quality of their product, she expressed that she felt threatened. We actually made it clear to her many times, that we have nothing against her, only the products her company and many other companys offer were not made taking un consideration customers best interests. We cant express how ofended we feel by this response right now. Completely unethical from your part. Thank you very much. Best luck to you
My daughter decided to get her bathroom remodeled and the finishing project WAS NOT what I expected coming from Kurtis Kitchen and Bath. She was charged $16k during Covid-19 (2020) and the bathroom is not even painted. Ive look at the pictures on the website and the pictures are deceiving. Were still waiting for the dumpster to be removed and she has called several times with the request. I would NOT recommend the company.
Poor communication, numerous follow up visits required to fix issues and complete project over a much longer period of time than promised.
Quoted 25k to remodle a 35 sq ft bathroom. Completely unreasonable.
Husband reached out for an estimate on our half bath. We were texted by an employee who asked about more details about the project. Upon sharing with her, she stated “sorry we only do full remodels”which is confusing because this project would’ve been a full remodel. We texted back for further clarification and she never responded. So, I guess they don’t need the business? We even mentioned that we would be interested in the future for estimates on our full bath and kitchen and that did not seem to appeal. Anyway, we will be finding someone who is equally excited about our home renovation projects and the money we’re spending with them.UPDATE 4/25: The response below from Kurtis does not reflect what was conveyed to us via text. At the time when we were texted by a Kurtis rep about our project, we even mentioned we would be interested in other fixtures as we had only purchased a 17 inch vanity for this project months prior. Upon stating we would be interested we still never heard back hence the lack of professionalism on their part. No we did not do business with Kurtis but the reason why is pretty clear. The explanation provided in response to this review would have been welcomed to begin with and would’ve prevented this review from being posted but that was not the case.
Henry was very easy to work with and made good suggestions but also listened to what we wanted in our kitchen. Everyone doing the work was professional, on time and cleaned up after themselves. Allen was very responsive and worked with us on the few issues that came up. We love our kitchen and will use Kurtis again
We went to Kurtis Kitchen 2 years ago for a major renovation of our 1957, very pink kitchen. This is a mixed review as there were several problems during the process. We liked the actual design of our new kitchen. The software that is used showed us exactly what our remodel would look like. It was easy to select granite, tile, and cabinets. We were able to select premium items that were beautiful. However, the construction process was very painful. They treated our home as if it were vacant. The tile man parked on our lawn, they didnt cover our wood floors, and basically made a mess in our home. Some of that was to be expected as it was a total gut. However, much of it was inexcusable. We were shocked to discover that for $30,000, they were not going to remove our ceiling of our small kitchen but were going to patch the old plaster to the newly installed drywall. I complained and they did remove it. However, they never mentioned that was an additional cost. Oddly enough, our new cabinets now dont go to the ceiling but have a 1/2 inch gap due to the ceiling removal. You would think that could have been corrected. In addition, the contractors didnt follow the original design and switched the spacing around. This caused the cabinet doors to bump into each other. I had to fight with them to correct this as they thought it was better the way they did it. I learned that contractors are very stubborn and think they are always right. Even our designer was on our side on this one as they didnt follow his plan. The tile work was very uneven and the sill under the window had a quarter inch gap between it and the tile. These items were fixed but should have been done correctly the first time. Also, the dishwasher wasnt leveled correctly causing the shelves to constantly slide forward. There are other little thing that still cause us to scratch our head.I will say that after all is said and done, we do like our kitchen. It is such a major improvement from what we had. However, the process should have been much smoother. We shouldnt have had to fight for everything. They did end up cleaning up the mess they left in our home and polished our wood floors. The reason I am writing this review now is that I suspect Kurtis must be doing well and doesnt need any new business. We were ready to remodel our bathroom and I called Henry to do a design. We decided to not go with it. However, I then changed my mind and I actually called Henry several times. I stated I was interested in using him for the bathroom. We rethought it and really liked his design that he had worked on for us. He never called me back. So either he doesnt want to work with us or they are making a lot of money and dont need more. I am taking this as a good thing for us. If the bathroom is as difficult as the kitchen was, we are better off with another company. It is just too bad and extremely unprofessional to not return a potential customers calls. We werent difficult to work with. We just wanted the job done correctly. It wasnt cheap.
Nice presentation and they may do very good work, but their quote was at least double every other (3) estimates I had gotten. I have a large kitchen, but their price was crazy.
It was very easy working with Henry in the showroom, The trip to pick out the tile was also pleasant and he helped to find wonderful pieces that went well together. The main carpenter was very nice, professional and respectful of the house to leave it clean every night. The only downside was that I was only given 2 days to prime, paint and stain all the walls. (not enough time to get it done properly. I love my new bathroom, it looks very classy.
Our kitchen turned out great and the contractors Kurtis worked with were top notch. Really great work and were very happy with how it turned out. Our project manager however left quite a bit to be desired to my recommendation to anyone looking to work with Kurtis is to get EVERYTHING in writing that you agree to with your salesperson, and ensure your project manager is also fully on board with everything discussed. We found ourselves having to argue for things initially agreed to to avoid additional charges, as well as things like Kurtis attempting to charge us for change orders to do things like move vents that they have the opportunity to measure ahead of time and said they would not need to be moved. All in all the job was done well, and Id recommend them to others, but be very careful to make sure you document anything specific to your job so the PM doesnt try to charge you extra.
Jayme and I were very pleased with the attention to details. There were some issues but they were taken care of promptly. We were dreading the process of remodeling our kitchen but Kurtis kitchen did a awesome job staying on schedule. Everything from designer Melissa to all the trades was very positive. I will definitely recommend to anyone who needs remodeling done.
We are very happy with the kitchen cabinets etc. Everything looks great and seems to work. Lauren was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. Even when there were bumps in the road, she remained responsive and diligent in solving the problem. The kitchen was one piece of renovation of our entire condo and work is still progressing in the lower level. Hopefully, the entire project will be done in a few weeks. It was a pleasure working with your company and I will gladly recommend Kurtis to friends and family.
Overall our experience was pretty good and were happy with the way our new bathroom looks. Ours was actually a fairly small job - replacing a vanity, cabinet, a toilet, and some plumbing fixtures. The quality of the materials and workmanship were good. There were some issues with communication and responsiveness from the people in the showroom. And the plumber didnt seem to have complete and accurate details of all the work he was to perform, which caused him to have to do a little extra work. But because it was a fairly small job, all the work was finished on time.
Justin OBrien at the Royal Oak Kurtis Kitchen & Bath was helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. Prices were very competitive with other local dealers. We are pleased with the quality and style of our new bathroom cabinets. We would highly recommend Kurtis Kitchen & Bath!
We were told that our bathroom project could take up to five weeks to complete. It took only three and a half weeks from start to finish. Our project manager Todd kept everything on schedule and the trades people did an outstanding job!We are extremely satisfied with the quality and dedication to detail that was demonstrated by all. We would recommend Kurtis Kitchen and Bath to anyone looking for quality work in a timely manner.
The designer/project managed, Tim, was very helpful, he brought up things I had not given any thought to, like the robe hook, placed near the shower, he accompanied me to pick tile and flooring, and granite. He made good suggestions when I was hesitant to make one or not sure of options available. The workers showed up on time and worked very hard especially the first week with Demo. There was only two days the workers did not show up; I was informed early in the morning and I was not disappointed I needed a break from the noise. They did what was expected to be done, the contractor, Alan, kept me inform about changes/problems and quickly handled them. I cannot say enough about Sal the carpenter, he is very knowledgeable, he does good work, and he did everything I asked him to do. For example, in my 1950s pink bathroom I reuse the heavy solid chrome vent cover and towel rack, I clean them up and he place them in new bathroom. He made sure everything was installed properly. The quality of workmanship is exceptional. When I’m sitting in bathroom I am amazed at this bathroom it is everything I wanted. I would definitely recommend Kurtis, Kitchen and Bathroom to friends and family. If I decide to do my kitchen I will call them again.
Great service from start to finish. I had both my kitchen and bathroom totally gutted and redone. Shelley, at the Royal Oak location was amazing. She has as incredible eye for detail and is fun and easy to work with. My project manager Todd was very through and kept on top of everything regarding my project. Allison in the installation department kept me totally updated with any changes to my schedule and made sure all install and inspections happened in a timely manner. I would highly recommend.
Although this was a major remodel, the Kurtis people were up to the task. Lauren Caudrio did an excellent job designing. The project began on time and was finished on time and on budget. There were no surprises and their communication was excellent. And the tile work was outstanding--the installer showed real pride in his work and did an excellent job. I recommend Kurtis.
Kurtis Kitchen & Bath provided a very professional kitchen remodeling experience for us. From the initial design consulting (Shelley) to the day to day project management (Todd), the nearly six week project was completed on time and just the way we wanted it. Shelley made sure that the personal touch was added to our design requests. She listens well!Frequently, Todd was on-site checking the accuracy of the daily work completed. As Kurtis uses a computer driven scheduling website for homeowners, we knew what, when and who would be working on our kitchen each day. This helped take the surprise out of the overall project. We are extremely pleased with our new Kurtis Kitchen.
My cabinets from Kurtis Kitchen and Bath are fantastic! The quality is top notch.Shelley was my designer and she did a wonderful job. Shelley walked me thru every step and answered all of my questions. (And I had a lot of questions)I highly recommend Kurtis Kitchen and Bath!
Justin is very detailed oriented with the selection of the cabinets and the design of the kitchen. The two issues we had were: 1) Sink we ordered was on back order and we found out 2 days before the counters were to be measured. So we had to scramble to find another sink at the last minute. 2) The second issue was the counter supplier failed to contact Justin properly resulting in a week delay in our install date. Justin did everything he could to make it right. The kitchen looks fabulous! Very pleased!
Kurtis did a fantastic job on our kitchen remodel. Everything was done per our requirements in a timely, professional and highly skilled manner. Their staff went above and beyond to make our experience pleasant and our kitchen beautiful. We would definitely recommend Kurtis for all kitchen and bath needs.
The entire process from start to finish was excellent! The work completed with a new bath tub and tile looks great!
My husband and I hired Kurtis Kitchen and Bath to remodel our bathroom. Kurtis was very responsive and professional throughout the project. House was old with original bathroom (1942). Bathroom was remodeled from the original studs of house. i would recommend Kurtis for their knowledge and professionalism
Everyone at Kurtis was pleasant, from the office workers to the project manager. They were all very helpful with whatever I needed done. I would definitely go back to Kurtis if and when I need more work done.
We worked with Justin, at Kurtis Kitchen, he helped us with the design and function of the kitchen, making several recommendations. We decided to go with Cherry Cabinets and our Kitchen came out amazing. We highly recommend Justin for his expertise and knowledge in the redesigning of our Dream Kitchen. Thanks for all your help Justin
Kurtis Kitchen and Bath was very efficient and professional. Everything was taken care of in a timely fashion and any glitches were fixed immediately without hassle. I would highly recommend them.
Justin is the most amazing Store Manager. He helped me in a quick amount of time put my dream kitchen together. The entire Kurtis team is great! Highly recommended
Justin came out for a measurement and never got a call back. No quote, no response to emails. Would not recommend if youre looking to get your project done on time. Must not work on commission.
We worked with Kurtis Kitchen and Bath in Livonia on a kitchen project. Kurtis was extremely pleasant and helpful from the first meeting with the designer, to the project manager, to the craftsmen. We are very pleased with the outcome and would definitely use them again.
We had some drywall damage above the sink, needed new counters, flooring was badly worn, and we appreciated the advice we got in the planning stage. We were pleased with each aspect of the project as it was completed, everybody involved was a pleasure to work with. When one of the plumbing connections proved problematic, the issue was addressed and corrected within one day. Couldnt be happier.
Did the package deal; design service, cabinets, granite counter tops, sinks and faucets. We did the installation. We are very happy with everything, great design, great product at a very good price. Thanks Adrian for all the help
Finished product is perfect -- communications could be improved for something that involves so many moving parts literally and figuratively.
I recommend Kurtis Kitchen & Bath. When there were some small hiccups, the company and I where able to collaborate and execute the job to my satisfaction.
I scheduled with this contractor twice. The first time was a double booking and the second appointment no call or text telling me the appointment was canceled. Nothing was done to accommodate me. I asked to have an appointment at another location or if someone else could speak with me.
I had a great experience working with Justin as my designer. I had designs from a couple other companies and nothing compared to the vision that Justin had for my kitchen space. We created a great modern industrial style kitchen with subway tile, white cabinets, and black granite countertops. I had a pretty intensive remodel that included knocking down a wall, all new cabinets, countertops and appliances and I couldnt be happier with the results. The entire process was done in a timely fashion, and there was great communication throughout. The job was all tracked through an app they use called Buildertrend that informed me of what the contractors would be doing every day. All the materials used for the job were top of the line. They also offer many different options for financing. I had my house appraised before and after the project and my home value went up greater than what it cost me to complete the project. I would recommend Justin and Kurtis Kitchen to anyone.
Purchased and had installed by Kurtis a beautiful cherry kitchen in 2007. Recently noticed that two of the wall cabinets were separating from the wall (back panel separating from cabinet box) Kurtis has a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. I contacted Justin OBrien and he immediately sprang into action, advising me to empty cabinets and support them with stacks of books. Justin contacted the local rep, Dave Grevemeyer, for Masco Cabinetry, who within a day or two contacted me to evaluate the situation. Dave had Mascos Resolution Department follow up very quickly. Long story short, new cabinet boxes were ordered and delivered as promised. Appointment was set up for removal and installation. Cabinet installer, Sean, arrived on time, removed failed cabinets, installed new ones with no damage to tile backsplash or wallpaper. Start to finish, this was without doubt the smoothest transaction I have ever experienced. This is my ninth house and believe me when I tell you that dealing with contractors and subcontractors is not always a pleasant experience. Justin, Dave, Joann, Sean and all involved provided stellar customer service. I am very grateful to Kurtis and all involved for making this a stress free experience.
My kitchen is beautiful, exactly what I wanted, and Kurtis has exceptional customer service. They want you to be happy with the final result !
Shelly and Brian provided excellent customer service.Thank you!
Great service, selection and design!! Thank you Leslie!!
Very helpful with all our decisions
Justin is awesome!
Waste of time.
