I never leave reviews for places, let alone massive companies like Home Depot, but the team at Round Lake deserves special praise. The team members I speak to here are always courteous, knowledgeable, helpful, and willing to go the extra step no matter what youre trying to do. Id especially like to thank Bernie who works in Kitchen/Countertops. She was so understanding & proactive during our kitchen renovation experience, helped us navigate every curveball & change of plans, and made us feel recognized as a family instead of just another set of transaction details in her busy day. Home depot is hurting for people... the workers that are there are super over worked and completely out numbered. When one of the orange aprons do finally get to you they are very helpful. Be prepared to wait if you arent 100% sure of what you need.

I purchased Smart Tiles for a back splash behind my new stove. Reading the precautions on the product, it stated that I need to install an 8 x 30 aluminum panel as a heat guard so the tiles wont melt. Home Depot doesnt carry this product. I had to buy it from the manufacturer.. Very happy how it turned out and was super easy for this 60 yr old to do by herself. Peel and stick! Cant wait to do the bathroom!

Went in yesterday to find a fridge. They were very short staffed but everyone was working so hard to take care of everyone and no one cut any corners! Rhonda from the Pro department rung us up, gave us a discount for the inconvenience (which was honestly not inconvenient, just a longer wait than normal). We were very well taken care of and we are so grateful for them making the process so easy for us when the day was clearly difficult for all of them.

Great selection found an uncommon sized hitch for my trailer and a quick return for the purchase of a common size hitch. Great customer experience

Dont buy Purina Alpo Prime Cuts from Home Depot. It may seem like a great idea for a wonderful price. However, there were eggs, larva, and moths in the Purina dog food. I recommend purchasing pet food from Petco. Canidae is a fantastic choice! The Home Depot is still a terrific place to buy products for your home projects though!

Keith was very helpful and knowledgeable and was the deciding factor in me and my cousin buying a riding lawn mower and Cathy in the lawn and garden section was great at getting us through check out fast and was very thorough, professional and helpful about explaining the equipments warranties. I love this Home Depot, the staff is always super friendly and extremely helpful. I have gone to the Gurnee one as well and this is by far the superior of the two. They have a ton of fresh flowers and lawn care stuff out right now so go get your items to fix up that lawn now!

I found my item online. When I looked in Aisle 10 Bay 1, I found it right away! Lock washers were an afterthought but nearby and easy to find as well. Way to go Home Depot!

I really love this Home Depot. The employees are very nice and the store is well stocked. The only thing hate is the self checkout.4/28/21 update.It’s the best Home Depot I’ve been in; and I go in a lot of Home Depot’s everywhere.This one has the most polite and helpful workers. Now they have the young kids in their workforce and they’re so nice and helpful.

This Home Depot right here in around Lake Beach has the worst delivery team ever. I called to get the delivery window and a member of the service desk picked up after looking up my order number, she transferred me to the delivery department. This guy at the delivery department was bot in the mood to help at all…and he actually hung up on me. I had to call again and asked to speak to a manager. It’s ridiculous! A total waste of time!! I wish I have gone to Menard!

Staff was friendly. Store was clean. Appreciate them being open past 5pm on a Sunday. Be sure to verify prices against their online site. Some in store items were more expensive than on Home depot.com

Waited 20 min while employee tried to find the person working at the windows and doors department. That person was paged 4 times, nowhere to be found. Had to leave empty handed. Ugh

They have an incredible Garden Center, including a huge selection of flowers, plants, etc. I recently purchased a beautiful hanging basket of petunias.

Rented a post hole digger. Unit stuck on full throttle and took a junk from our garage siding. Would not even consider adjusting price and charged me the full price. Bad business. Attempted to call manager and was put on hold for 4 1/2 minutes. Not giving this store anymore of my business.

Ordered parts for our deck project and they bot only delivered the wrong screws, were also missing 3 whole pallets of railings. We have already been waiting 3 months. Horrible, especially Ronda at the pro desk. Shes rude and incompetent

Just to start, Home Depots always been my go to for material. I just visited the store a few days ago, not one hi or may I help you at all the whole time. Apologies, the girl at the checkout said both of those things but the employees are not happy. All I know is, Id be working my butt off to make the customers happy if I had the job. Kick your workers into gear and make them understand that not everyone out there is fortunate enough to have a job right now!? Id be ready in a second to work if I was hired and happy as h**l!

This store is fantastic. They have everything you would need for any project. The employees are very friendly and helpful. They have saved me several times when I thought I had everything and they all pointed out other items that I didn’t have for my products so they saved me from returning to get them. I would recommend this store to everyone. Again they know everything. Some employees were contractors so they are very knowledgeable. Big thumbs up!

They are short on a wide range of items. This is more of a quick stop HD, the one in Gurnee has a better selection and more to complete your projects. I only go here if I know they have what I need.

Found a xmas tree that wasnt available at their other locations, and the lady was very nice she held it for me till next day when I went to pickup! So we took it home and found some of the lights wont lit up..it was hard to find an associate who can help as everyone just keep forwarding the call to another dept but in the end they were nice enough to offer a refund.

Do not have home depot do any home improvement jobs for you we had our HVAC replaced and the kitchen remodeled. The HVAC still has parts in my garage a year later and the job was not completed as described.The kitchenMeasured wrong so the cabinets wouldnt fitThe cabinets took 3 months to come instead of 6 weeks.Terrible craftsmanship installing the cabinets. I had to finish the install.Counter tops that were quoted didnt fit then the one that came werent the right sizeAll in all we were without a kitchen for 6 monthsWill not be going back to the for anything.

I went to 2 different Home Depot stores today. I bought 30 bags of red mulch at each store.Waukegan was first. Idn notice till we got home this must be last years mulch. It is brown like is has been laying around. And no we are not loading it back up and taking it back.The 2nd store was in Round Lake Beach. Theirs was nice and red.Very disappointed in the old brown mulch.

ZERO MASK ENFORCEMENT. Id say maybe 50% of people wearing masks, including staff with no mask or a mask below their nose. Ridiculous, unsafe environment. There are rules for the store, step up and enforce them.

Tammy in the Appliance Dept is great!!! She is so helpful. We had a manufacturer’s defect on a stove we ordered twice :( She helped us get a reliable stove and worked with the manufacturer for us to get a refund). She did a great job dealing with our situation. Ask for Tammy if you need help buying a new appliance :)

I always like home depot for the selection and the merchandise .One time I needed small long needles pliers and manager heard what needed and the next weed did have on their products.

Former construction guy turned do it yourselfer. Its a home depot. Its got stuff for your home. Typically good selections, helpful staff, and good prices. Ive been shopping at this store for about 4 years now, we dont bother with any other home improvement stores in our area.

We purchased a lawn mower and when we got it home it wouldnt work. I called the store and spoke with Kelsey who assured me I could bring the mower back and exchange it or get a refund. When we got to the store she showed us exactly what we needed to do and then had Alex in the rental department help us out the new one. We put it together and before leaving made sure the new one worked. I cant say enough about how helpful they were, and well definitely be doing more business with them.

I rented a carpet cleaner machine, Alex helped me and explained me how to use the machine. It was great service and experience with the machine. Good job Alex, thank you for your help. :)

Great shopping experience very friendly. Most associates working there but not all are knowledge full be patient. If they dont have something in their store you can always ask them to check other local Home Depots. Im saying this from experience as a customer and a former employee they offer many services that customers are unaware of. If your contractor looking to buy bulk or if you are a DIY Do It Yourself and get cheaper offers elsewhere Home Depot will price match if the product is the exact same if not maybe save a few 😉.

10 stars for customer service for Manager Dave. I bought a door mat which turned out to be a smaller size than needed, so i head back to return and get a larger door mat. Upon arrival at return desk, i was completely shocked that i was completely ignored by a blonde woman and the other 2 employees. Evan a guy yelled at me, surprised by this i asked to talk to a manager. Dave came and promptly helped me with the return. Homedepot need people like Dave. 10 out of 5 stars for Dave.

Purchased an order for appliances on 5/27/20. Cancelled the order on 5/28/20 in the morning and was told that the order will be cancelled by the end of the day since the vendor and the delivery company have to cancel the order as well. Every day since then I am told a different reason for the order showing in Pending cancellation status. Yesterday I was told that it takes 3-5 days for the order to be cancelled and I should wait until Wednesday. Never have I had to wait so long to cancel an order and get my money back.

Dont care about their customers!Ive placed a tile order, after 10 days Ive received an email saying that my order is cancelled. Interesting, right?! I had to call to the store to find out a reason and the reason was that the store has no longer this style of tile.Which is not a big deal. The deal is that no one cares about me as a customer! Why customer service couldnt give a call and let me know about the situation and help to resolve their problem!!!Instead of that they waste my time and lost a customer. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!! You wont go far with this service!Tip for others: think very good before you will decide to have a business with them as you might have a great experience with a service that doesnt care about you!

The people who work at Home Depot are always so helpful and always available. I love this location especially because they will come to you and ask if you need help and often walk you to the items.

Best advice before you go to the store go online and make sure they have the products that you need so you dont make a trip and find out that theyre out of stock otherwise very helpful bathrooms are very clean dont forget to wash your hands employees are very kind
