McDarby + Transmission Auto are my go to when I need my 2006 Saturn looked at. Matt has been a godsend now that my car is getting up there in years + unfortunately in dire need of a little extra TLC. You couldnt ask for a kinder group. They do everything to try and resolve your cars issue. They explain the problem, offer solutions + work with you if your on a budget. They do all this while keeping you and your car safe on the road!

Good place to deal with. Guys are very friendly and helpful. Got a truck from them and unfortunately the battery needed to be replaced the next day. No biggie though. Still a good place. Rob was great to deal with.

The car was in great condition on arrival (among many others on the lot). The team that helped me was friendly and accommodating from test drive to sale. No hidden fees, fair prices complete transparency in vehicle information, and a great customer experience. I couldnt ask for much more in a no-hassle car buying experience.

Well my experience was not a happy one. Over the phone Matthew was very pleasant and concerning once I got to the shop it changed. I guess I was too dark to be serviced by him. Short nasty and rude!

Needed a cheap decent used car in a pinch. These guys really came through price wise. The salesman and owner took into consideration a customers hardship. Car has been running great! Will recommend! Thanks guys!

Once u coming to buy they all nice to you, once you pay and have issue with the car they dont want to fix, this one of the most rudest place that i have ever been, i highly dont recomend this place, they ruined my credit.

Dont be fooled by the ad for free diagnostic transmission test. I made a appointment early this week to drop my car off today and they were to take me back to work. I called first to make sure they had me transportation back to work. The unprofessional desk girl assured me it was all worked out and the owner assured me Monday it would only take a hour. Well I arrived there and office chick couldnt get any of the mechanics to take me back and tried covincing them to test drive my car . Finally she did get me a ride and this mechanic didnt know where to go or how to get back, nor did he know how to put his work address in a GPS! Three hours later I get a call from the owner asking what problems Im having and saying he was getting ready to test drive my car! I asked what problems did the diagnostic test show? That did no test just false advertisement to get you there. I demanded them return my car. I dont smoke and the driver left a empty Newport box in my car and dirty footprints on my carpet! The owner was rude and very unprofessional, probably because he couldnt explain why no diagnostic test was done. Be wise dont go for the website hype!

Very happy they were able to get me financed and they were very easy to work with... They have been servicing my Mustang since i bought it so i felt very comfortable coming back.... My brother brought his first car from this establishment July 1st 2017. It is now September 21st and hes had to take his car back and fourth FIVE times for various different problems . Along with the car and warranty my brother was told hed be guaranteed to pass inspection at the DMV when he went. It is almost 3 months later and he has not passed inspection because the check engine light is still on! It was not on when he purchased the car, but has been on ever since. Matt who is the owner had a good rapport with my mother until the other day. He was very disrespectful, sexist and short with my mother which is not acceptable nor appreciated especially when her and my brother made a $5,500 contribution to their business. After Matt had the car for TEN days, to FIX a leaking oil and check engine light, he told my mother I have no time to argue with a woman today I lied, I didnt order the part I have other cars to worry about and this is a favor after she expressed her frustration about the car not being fixed after him having it for 10 days and that calls were not being returned, and he had given a turnaround time that passed. All in all I understand people have bad days and they can get stressed out but that is NO way to do business. You must ALWAYS respect and appreciate paying customers because they are what keep your business running. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone because of their unprofessional ways and the sketchiness associated with their guarantees.Next time my family knows to take their hard earned money to a different establishment.

I went to McDarbys for some transmission work on my car. Not only did they fix my car, but they worked with my warranty company. The service was great. Mickey and Matthew are a class act and professional. They went above and beyond!

Had a great time here sells person was good. I was not dissapointed they met all my needs.

They repaired my car, they were very friendly and knowledgeable about what the problem was and exactly how to fix it. They even worked with the used car warranty company to help me with the costs and had me bring it back a week later just to look over it again after I drove it around.

Dropped my truck off for 2 things, one, to fix a weird issue that another shop couldnt find and two, to swap a set of wheels out (also told him that i prob needed to get lugnuts ordered for the swap ) ....drop off on mon night in drop box, was told i would be called within a day ....got a call at 1130 tues and missed call, called back 4 min later and was told the guy was out and would call me back ....hour later i call and again was told i would be called back, no callback .....this went on the whole day until 430 til i got someone on the phone and they asked me what was he supposed to be looking for ....so one day wasted and told i would be called in the morning the next day .....never happened so i called at noon and was told i would be called back ......long story short, this went on until sat (they had the truck for 4 and a half full days ) when i called sat saying i just wanted the truck back they said fine and i asked if they swapped out the wheels the guy said no you need lugnuts ....so i said you had my truck for almost 5 days and i told you i needed lugnuts ....finally came to the agreement that if i brought him the lugnuts can you change the wheels out (was going on a 300 mile trip the next day and wheels and tires on truck were shot ) he refered me to a firestone shop who said they cant get to it that day so i contacted mcdarby again and was told over the phone cant you just drive it with the wheels that are on it Extremely unprofessional and after having the truck for 5 days, if they couldnt find the time to order the lugnuts of change the wheels out which might take 15 min then i dont know what to say ....ive worked in a mechanic shop fir 7 years so i know what goes on but these guys put me on the backburner .....when i picked it up he said well im not gonna charge you ....as a customer, you are willing to pay to get the job done, if you keep my truck for 5 days and do nothing, you just wasted my time and business that i would have rathered gave to someone else who cares, i would give this place 0 stars if i could

Bought a car from them during the ending of summer and it still runs strong with absolutely no problems.

The best in New Jersey I refer everybody to this place I brang my bmw x5 in for transmission and they fixed my truck with no problems or hassles, and also kept me up to date with my vehicle everyday. Not to mention they took no time to replace my transmission.

Will never come back here my car was worst coming home then coming in not to mention there slow rude and act cluless to the new problems they create in your car my car leaked oil and trans fluid they knocked my wheel alignment out of place and my car now vibrates and hums when its either idling or stop at the light you use to couldnt tell the car was on before these clowns got a hold of if all these extra damages and of course they dont own up to it they had my car 1.5 months so i couldnt have did it dont come here to have your trans fixed they not pros there sabatogers try titos transmissions in newark nj on Frelinghsen ave i shouldve followed my gut and did just that
