I found my wedding dress at Top Hat in only two hours! I walked in with NO clue as to what I wanted and Pam made it happen. The staff was very knowledgeable about current trend and traditions. She was super helpful and gave me space to look and try on over 20 dresses. 100% recommend!

Wonderful customer service and the Queen of last minute pull offs. Thank you so much for going beyond customer service to make sure this bride and groom were dressed to the nines! She even stayed late and waited on us to get there. You ladies were a Wedding Day Blessing. Thank you for outstanding customer service!

Placed our order 6 weeks in advance for our Daughter’s wedding. Checked and was told the Tux would be in 2 days before Wedding. Called and was told they haven’t showed up. They came in 1 day before.... out of 7 Tux rented, only 2 fit correctly, one was missing buttons. One had to have the shirt replaced. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy....

I found a dress I liked and purchased it. I was given an appointment by the owner to come back and bring the dress to be measured for alterations (it needed a lot) so I waited 3 weeks to go back for my given appointment time. The owner wrote it down on one of their cards so I had it correct. I picked up both my daughters early that morning and headed to Rome (I live in Dallas) I called them to tell them I was going to be a few minutes late and the lady (very sweet) that answered the phone said well I dont know what happened but you are down for a bridal appointment not a fitting. I said well I have had the dress for weeks and my appointment is to come in today (on a Monday) to be measured for alterations. She said well Pam isnt here and wont be back until Thursday and no one else can do that for you. So I just said okay and hung up. The lady called me back and left a message to call her back and reschedule the appointment. I did not call back because I wanted to see if the owner would call me when she got back and own up to her mistake and make it right. She did not, I never heard a word from her. I took it to somewhere closer to my home and it has worked out much better. I will never go back.

We have used Top Hat many times and always with great outcomes. My son ordered all of his prom tuxedos with Pam. Also his and his groomsmens tuxedos when he married were ordered at Top Hat. They always have a great selection and my son was always able to match his tux with his girlfriends (now wife!) prom gown. My husband has also used Top Hat for his formal needs, and has always been happy. We love the fact that they are a multi-generational, family-owned business and that they have made their home in Downtown Rome!!

Kathy and Pam are the best! Went to stores in Chattanooga and couldn’t find the dress. Came to Top Hat and they had an amazing selection and helped me find the one. Also got my bridesmaid dresses here- super friendly and helpful in the process

Most of their samples were in a size 8 or 10 (6/8 in regular clothing), which is very small for bridal. Their dresses that were in larger sizes all looked the same. Not only does this limit the options for brides who are not incredibly thin, but I imagine that for most brides it hurts their self-esteem and makes it difficult for local brides to find unique gowns. It also sends the message that only thin brides should wear certain silhouettes, which is not the message I would hope for, especially considering how amazing mermaid and trumpet gowns look on curvy women. I feel that when you work in bridal you should want to broaden your clientele and be able to serve as many women of diverse shapes and sizes as possible, and not have to turn away customers simply because your samples are smaller than the average woman. And even if you do not end up selling to a bride, it should always be your goal to have her leave your shop feeling beautiful! The solution that many other bridal shops have found is ordering gowns in 12/14s and clipping them for smaller women, so that they can get an idea how how they fit and curvier women can fit into them as well. Then they also order their gowns in plus-size so that anyone who cannot fit into a 14 has a plus size option. This is a more inclusive way of choosing samples and allows them to serve more clients. I would hope that Perfect Dress diversifies their size options for future brides!

Had to get a brides maids dress. They are one of two places in Rome that carried it. But they were the only ones who were actually opened when they said they would be.

Every time I try to get an appointment to get an alteration I get Pam isnt here today. When I say every time I mean 5 times within 2 weeks. Finally someone actually told me when she WOULD be there. But its the end of the world when I have to come in last minute to get my dress finished. They arent very helpful and rude. I will not come back.

So my boyfriend and I go in to order a vest for him for the wedding we are in. He put the down payment on and got the right size ordered (apparently not) they didn’t send his order in until the other groomsmen put theirs in (about a week before the wedding) I go to pick it up and it’s the wrong size and she tells me it’s because they ran out because they waited so late. My boyfriend ordered his and put money down with plenty of time in advance. It seems like a rip off and just stupid. None of it makes sense to me at all. Now the grooms men’s outfits are not going to look right on her most important day.

This was the WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! experience I have ever had...I went with a friend of mine that is getting married in the spring when we walked in we were not greeted with a hello or a welcome or anything it was just a very rude sigh and a what can i help you with? to which we replied that she was looking for a wedding dress for her wedding in the spring the woman rolled her eyes and in the rudest tone possible said OOOOOKAAAYYY... and turned around and walked to the desk and proceeded to sit there...my friend and I looked around for about 30 mins the woman never asked to help us at all and every time one of us headed towards her she disappeared it was the worst costumer service either of us have received and needless to say neither us or any of our contacts will step foot in that store again!!!! on a happier note we did however venture to Perfect Dress of Rome the people there were very pleasant and helpful we will be doing business with them again.
