I bought 16 squares of St. Augustine sod from A-1. The sod was fresh, weed free and healthy. The rain has been helpful but the sod is doing very well and is growing well. I will not hesitate to return. The are conveniently located of 30 and easy to find.

Delivered our St. Augustine to our driveway. The grass was perfect!! My yard is STUNNING!!!!! A-1 Sand&Stone thanks!!

If could give this location a lower rating I would, awful customer service employee looked bother by my questions and kept watching her tv show.

Arrived to purchase grass, a family outside asked if we wanted to split a pallet allowing us each to save about 40 bucks. The woman working was about as in helpful as I ever encountered. When we asked if she could do split tender or what the best way to tackle it she said “that’s y’all problem to figure out” and finished with “it’s not my job to be helpful “ when it was pointed out to her how unhelpful she was being. I’ve always had good experiences here, will definitely rethink where I purchase my yard supplies moving forward

The grass was green, but the woman behind the counter has to be the most uninterested person to do a job ever. Rang to see if they had any grass, No, do you know when your next delivery will be no I dont, surely you should know when a delivery of grass is available if your out of it I mean come on. Went somewhere else instead and probably continue to use a company in garland.

This is a good place for picking up grass Sand & Stone they have many locations throughout the metroplex

The service at this place was really bad. They convinced us that they didnt have any grass that will grow here, although they did have piles of half-dead looking Saint Augustine. We went to another place that had suggested a ground cover, but after talking in person said to try the St Augustine. So, we went back to A1; the CSR did not want to sell us the grass! Fine. We went and paid too much at Home Depot but Its growing! Guess she should have sold us her grass.

The folks who own and operate this place are really super people. They work hard and have some good stone on hand. I have purchased several small loads of flag stone from them for my fireplace and it has always been a good selection and excellent service. The only reason I didnt give five stars is for the price. At $0.17 per pound I paid the equivalent of $340 per ton. That is off the chart expensive. But since I was only buying a few hundred pounds of stone at a time, I cant complain.

Please read strongly advise against this company! I paid to have 20 yards of stone delivered and placed by my driveway. Their trucks caused damage to my property then when I visited two location to report the damage I continued to be brushed off. I was eventually able to speak with a manager only to be given more run around. I was promised a return call last month and have yet to hear anything. These people do not take responsibility for their actions. Very poor company to do business with.Just an update shortly after I placed this review I received a call from an insurance agent and it was a process but I eventually received payment for the damages.

Just bought 2 truckloads of sandy loam soil from the Rockwall location.I have used their Garland location several times in past years and have always been very satisified.We were unable to be home when the delivery was made, but they dumped the loads exactly where I told them over the phone.They may be more expensive than other companies, but the quality of the soil is worth the extra cost.Very happy !

Lady was rude, getting info and prices were like pulling teeth, she finally tossed a price sheet at me. Then knowing what I was asking about told me she didnt have a full pallet of Bermuda sod. Which was all brown anyway. Got what I wanted from A&W, more for my money and it wasnt dead. Will never go back.

Dead SOD CLAIM TO BE FRESH CUT******DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THE ROCKWALL A-1 GRASS!!!!*******Started out with 14 pallets of sod which was half brown and needed to complete the yard with 8 more pallets and received dead grass.Called and they gave me very very very poor/Rude customer service and said that is it is my problem.DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!
