I have an older Volvo and a few years ago they wonderfully installed a kit that gave me AUX access. The factory installed radio finally died and I recently went back to have a newer radio installed. I’m so excited to have bluetooth! Each time I was treated well and they ensured that I understood how to operate the equipment. Great customer service!

This location is a dying breed...a true professional experience! Jason was the only salesperson, of all the places I shopped, that actually qualified me for my needs, demonstrated the product thoroughly- explaining the different nuances in sound. He offered options, made it fun and easy. His experience has been a lost art for years now and especially in this pandemic age.Once he started the demo with the music I love, he had my business and I couldnt wait to get my classic Corvette in there..But wait, it somehow gets better! Jeff in installation was a master craftsman...he had a lot of custom work to keep my car looking as stock as possible. Not only did he do an amazing job, he complained I t well ahead of time, all while babying the car, which is a family heirloom. When I came in, he took extra care to make it look better than what was planned. All his extra effort made this an over-the-top experience.Car Toys needs to make this location and this team their primary location. I did visit another Car Toys location prior and the clerk was the usual suspect: no qualifying questions, no education of the product, no demonstrating, nothing. I left feeling empty.Jason, you and your team are a true testament to professional customer service. Thank you all, you made it easy and my family will continue to enjoy out Corvette for many years to come!

Good place to get your toys. Reasonable prices with people that know what they are doing. If you need something go in and ask about it. No pressure and good solid advice. Skilled installers as well.

Let me start by saying I did NOT have any work done here. I came in one Saturday expecting to purchase a new head unit. I thought my stock radio blew out. I want to say Brandon helped me first. Sorry if that isn’t his name. Explained the situation; he went and grabbed their installer for advice. We all went outside to take a look. He immediately knew I didn’t need a new unit, just a fuse replacement. I was in disbelief but he was right. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate honest service. Saved me money and sanity. I highly recommend this place & plan to return here for any car audio needs in the future.

On the good side they were always polite and friendly other then when they were super busy but who can blame them.The bad, this place will take every opportunity to up sale you something that you do not really need.I understand covering themselves so that nothing goes wrong but this was not the case for what I was needing.If all you are needing is wiring installation for an amp do not go with car toys.First they said it would only be $150 for the installation puls another $382 for just wire and an amp.When I came back with my own wire (brand new) and amp they first told me that the wire was not good enough quality (yes is was off amazon but Ive used the same kit in all my cars and its just fine for my taste) then when I would budge on that then tried to tell me that the amp would be pulling to much for 8 gauge wire. (The funny thing is it was lower watage amp and the same gauge wire that they were trying to sell me for $382)When they finally couldnt get me to move on that they proceeded to tell me that since it was a stock head unit it would cost me another $325 to run a line out for the amp and install the volume control.At this point I was done and just said I dont have the money and asked for the refund on the $150 I had already given them.They got me my refund and were nice about it.Over all if you know anything about what you want installed and what your wanting it for I would recommend a different place for an amp installation.They advertise $150 but in the end I would have been paying $850 for only the install and an amp (800watt at that)

I decided to give them a chance w/ my first complete audio system project & was completely in awe. Aesthetic Cable/Wire management, great work all round. Very professional, understanding and patient. Went to get my speakers replaced due to an insurance claim, because someone stole the crossovers and they did me right here at car toys! I am disabled and they made me so comfortable and made the transaction painless. Fixed me right up. They even found a way to tether my wheelchair lift! This is a huge deal for me! They are very creative! They got my speakers screaming!!!! The dude with the big earring holes knows his stuff and the management inside are so nice. They did try to up sell and i get it, but they were not pressuring like some places! They even pulled out a chair for me while they worked and treated me like a friend instead of just a customer. Best car toys experience ever!

After a dominoes Effect of pains after ordering from a online 3rd party shop on a new mod for my truck. When I received my item I spent days calling around to find someone that would install for me. After mostly being told no we don’t install unless you ordered through us. Needless to say that got tiresome. So I called a local shop in my town and finally got a yes but at the cost of almost double the price of typical expected charges on install for my device. ( Amp research powered running boards) so I go to car toys in Plano after a guy tells me to come in the morning just to be told sorry the guy that does the install is not there for the day(Well thanks for telling me to waste my time coming before opening to get a install at almost twice the price and the guy is not there come back two more days smh) Finally I start calling around and talked with Arthur at the rockwall location he was straightforward and optimistic about getting the install done for me same day at half the cost of another store in Plano.I’m very happy I was treated professionally and taken Care of right away. Great great service I’m writing this as their working on my truck. I’m impressed and sure that the install will be done without a problem. I see why you guys reviews are so high keep it up I traveled 40 minutes for great service.

Great experience! I went there for information and left with the alarm and autostart I really wanted. Staff was professional, knowledgeable and really helped me picked the right package. The install was done perfectly and to my satisfaction. Would highly recommend them!!!

Was looking to get a new stereo for my Tahoe, similar to what i had put ln my work truck. Stopped by here to check on cost of radio, put it in. myself. They charge $125 for basic install. I did find one similar to what i had. l walked around the store looking for help, since I was the only one inside of the radio department, no one was at the desk. or in the side office, only one other truck out front with me, guess I will go to the mesquite location

Called earlier to get a quote on an installation kit with interface module. I was quoted 199.00 for the part and starting at 125.00 for the install. For one, that part is available thru Amazon for 94.00. I do know y’all purchase from them as I had purchased a smart glass stereo/dvd from y’all and y’all cldnt provide me the serial number for the unit as it had come from Amazon. Do yourself a favor people. Take time, be patient and do your own research. ALWAYS buy the parts or accessories on your own. With technology and everything being online.. you’ll be glad you did. Btw, do not respond to my review. There will be nothing you will do to EVER fix poor business practices. Everyone understands hidden business practices that are low standard and unethical. I’m surprised that there are this many “positive” reviews. But I do know I’m one who reads the negative, the dates etc. that will determine if a business has progressed or have upheld their ethics within those business practices

Went to Car Toys for a new stereo for my daughters car. Arthur and his staff there were very knowledgeable and not trying to upsell us. We got what we wanted and it looks great. Now, the only problem is we have to fight over who gets to drive her car! Thanks Arthur and Car Toys!

They also will change the stereo out of your existing vehicle that you have it installed in to your next vehicle free of charge! If they come up with new technologies could just not do that. Professional work and good customer service. The wait wasn’t bad and they give you updates on how the install is doing. They also go over the install with you and answer any questions you may have. Any imperfection or loose cables, are dealt with (if there’s any) right away and they do the inspection with you insuring that all your questions and concerns are met. If you’re not satisfied with the install you can also come back to them and they will work things out as their work is guaranteed. I would come back to this specific car toys location if ever I need another installation

Got a newish truck, 18 silverado z71, radio didnt work, dealers said $2000 to fix, car toys fixed it in 10 minutes for free. These guys are passionate about this stuff

Ive had a ton of problems with my system that I had them install. Ive probably went back 9 times for problems with my system. They always fix their mistakes but Ive never once have I had a discount except when I had to go to Honda after not having a radio for a week and paying $150 to Honda to fix my Ridgeline.. than they payed for that.

A place is only as good as the people. David is exceptional in product knowledge and in customer service. I was very pleased and will go back to this location.

I was disappointed in every way..I just wanted a stereo and install... when I took it home I couldnt use the stereo on accessorie .I returned to the store and they told me that I was cheap and that I should have brought the better wire harness. ..I told them stop blaming me for the problem..and reluctantly bought a 45$ upgrade...I drove home and could not turn car off.i returned and they fixed it but left the trim loose..3 days later the stereo broke .I returned and they replaced it with a different stereo at the cost of 32$ I will admit the last time I was there they were quite understanding..but it is still the last time I go there

I came to this location after having such a good experience before with my previous vehicle. I brought my Nissan Armada to have a stereo installed. No issues buying everything and setting up the appointment. I came into my appointment and waited 3 hours for the stereo to be installed. The guy comes out and says they have bad news. They couldnt get the stereo to work and they think its something faulty with the wiring harness they got. Kind of annoyed but whatever, not really their fault. The guy tells me that either the manager or someone will contact me the next day to figure something out.I wait till the end of the second business day since no one has reached out to me yet which frustrated me. I talk to a guy on the phone and he says to hold on and let him call me back so he can look into the situation. I wait 30 minutes and no calls or anything. Beyond annoyed, I decided to stop by the store on my way to work. When I walk in, they have no customers and the guy I talked to his on his phone doing something. I politely state that I was on the phone with him and he was supposed to call me back but never did. He then proceeds to ask me my name and then says again, Let me go talk to them about it. You had 2 whole days to figure this out and youre JUST now looking into the issue? I was under the impression that they were looking to solve the problem but they werent. The guy then tells me that its a known issue with the wiring harness...well why wasnt I told this before I purchased it? I was beyond frustrated and the guy asked me if I was interested in some adapter to add apple car play to my existing stereo which was stupid. Got a refund and left and went down the street to Super Sound and had the stereo installed with no issues. The other problem is this guy literally is not aware of how bad his customer service is.This review is in no way to their installation people. Im sure they do solid work and loved the work they did for me in the past. I just feel like the customer service part of this company is lacking. As a paying customer, I expected way better service than what I got. I absolutely hate being blown off and I feel like they didnt care.

Jeff the installation Manager at the Rockwall location is a master of his craft. Very strong attention to detail and satisfaction with every customer he has. Went above and beyond to fix an issue that wasnt even his fault. Would recommend him and car Toys to anyone who needs any services they offer.

Chet is AMAZING. We went to get something installed and ended up having an unrelated car issue. He helped us get it sent to the Ford dealer and got it covered under warranty. They are so kind and helpful. Do not go anywhere else for your car toy needs!!!!!!!!

I purchased a screen replacement for my radio on my Cadillac online. Car Toys installed it and I felt like I was driving a new car again! That lasted 3 days before the screen went completely black. I called the manufacturer where I purchased screen and they gave me Baloney about my battery on my car was going bad. Didn’t make sense but had it checked out anyways. The next step was to go back to Car Toys to have them check it out. It took about 3 additional trips before they were able to see me despite the fact I would call first and they say bring it in. It was the last screw to be put in that was loose causing a shortage. Nevertheless my screen is back working and I’m having the new car feel again lol.

We have used Car Toys in Rockwall for several car stereos and remote starts. Wonderful customer service and great people to work with.

It took a lit bit longer for the install but, the work that was done was very neat and clean. I would rather it take a little longer and get a great job then have them rush through it. This would be our 4th vehicle that they have done.

Guys know their stuff. I even called the Dodge Ram dealership to get a quote on an upgrade and they didnt want to even try with OEM upgrade from Mopar. They even said take it to Cartoys. Added remote start, parking sensors and upgraded headunit... great job.

I had my radio stolen out of my car and wanted a new one installed as soon as possible. They (Rockwall, TX location) had me in the shop the same day I called and a had a new radio installed in no more than an hour. Excellent customer service. I will definitely be back to do my speaker upgrade.

These guys are amazing! Went above and beyond to meet my needs. After installing patiently went over operating the systems I had installed and they even stayed about 45 min AFTER CLOSING to make sure we understood it with ease by answering any questions we had. I found my new Car Toys location to go to!Car Toys in Rockwall! I have been going to another location numerous times to try to get my remote start fixed & they could not figure it out. I needed a new battery for my clicker so I thought let me try another location & ask them if they could possibly look at my remote start. I am so glad I did! Car Toys in Rockwall was able to fix my remote start! The entire staff was incredible! I can not thank them enough! I highly recommend this location!

I took my sons truck in to get air horns installed and the tech found a leak in the new air tank but installed it anyway without calling me to let me to get a replacement. They just installed the system to collect the money I was quoted. I found that unprofessional on car toys behalf. I could have returned the product to get a new that didnt leak.

Wow Wow Wow. Took a 2000 work truck in and I wish I had taken before and after photos. They were able to get great white Pyrenees hair out of dark gray carpeting. They did a fabulous job. These guys are amazing! Purchased product from them and installed it myself and took it to them because I had no sound from my subs. They performed a diagnostic on it and my ignition cylinder all of a sudden gave out. After fixing my issue they also spent plenty of extra time fixing my ignition cylinder at no charge. I wont go elsewhere for car audio. Huge shout out to this Rockwall location! All the hard working techs worked together and the sales staff is outstanding! These guys have gone far beyond what they needed to! They need a raise!!!! A++++

Reliable, professional and very good at what they do. They fixed an issue caused by another store when that other store cut corners on their installation of the radio. Lesson learned...these are the people to go to and they take enormous pride in their work.

When we showed up the woman assisting us was not together. She tried to over charge us after we had called earlier to verify the cost. They told us that the automatic restart would be included in the key model all for $195. She had no idea what was on sale. SHE NEVER nor anyone else call about my vehicle being ready. When we called they never answered the phone. I waited over 4 hours and then I finally went up there before they closed to pick up my vehicle. THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME AND LAST TIME EVER USING CAR TOYS!!!!!

A year ago I came in and had a sub and amp installed for the best price I could find in town. I came back a year later because my sub stopped working and come to find out the cheap amp I had purchased had stopped working. They replaced my amp and fix a chip in my windshield and I couldnt be happier! 100% recommend and highly professional!

Had a great experience at this particular Car Toys. Jared our sales person was super friendly and knowledgeable and Ernie, the one who installed our system, was amazing! He completed a complicated install and made sure we were completely satisfied. Had to go back for some minor adjustments and each time, Ernie fixed the issue and made us feel like our satisfaction was his number one priority. Car Toys is lucky to have both of them. I took a van that Ive been driving for 13 yrs to them for interior detailing because I wanted my new teen driver to have a clean vehicle to drive. Let me tell you, that van was a mess! Ive put a lot of miles on it driving a lot of kids around during that time. But Car Toys was able to make it look almost new inside. Every person I dealt with when dropping the vehicle off and picking it up was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back to them for the same service, and I would consider them for other services as well.

We had new speakers and a stereo put in our Camaro as well as our Harley and now we’re experiencing all kinds of electrical issues with both vehicles. We’ve taken the Camaro in multiple times to be fixed and it’s still not right. We’re so frustrated. We just want our vehicles fixed the right way.

I took my WeBoost and back up camera to Car Toys for install in my RV. While there I decided to have a dash/rear cam kit installed. Ernesto did a really professional job, and was very careful to use existing openings to run wire, instead of drilling holes in the roof. I really appreciate that, as water ingress is always a concern. I was not from the area, so ask for a recommendation on a place to get my front end alignment checked. Everybody was so helpful. Went thru 6 calls, but finally found someone that could accommodate my vehicle. The dash/rear cams required a longer wire than was standard with the kit. Again, they jumped on it and found one, got it in by Friday and installed the dash/cams so I could get on the road. A really great bunch at this Rockwall location. Would definitely recommend them.

Brought my truck for them to installed amp and speakers, when I came back sound was terrible installer kept looking at me telling me he did a good job when it was cleared it wasnt, manager tried to resolved issue, I brought truck back on sunday and left it there most of the day, again when I picked it up same thing, I was really upset but instead of argying I left..Came back on tuesday and reqsted to talk to manager I was denied that privilege..😡 took my truck to car toys in plano, and I have to say they did an amazing job on fixing what cartoys in rockwall couldnt do..for the amount of money Im paying I should of gotten a much better service all the way around

Guys, go here. amazing service. I had a new pioneer receiver installed in my Grand Marquis and these guys were fast, and courteous. I had an issue with the receiver two days later and they replaced it no questions asked, no accusatory glances or words. super professional. I cant recommend them enough!

Great price, great team and very knowledgable. Had an alarm problem from an installation 5 years ago in another state. They troubleshoot and repaired a connector within 30 minutes and had me back on the road. Great folks and remember to grab them all something over at Walmart while your there. Mountain Dew works.
