My fiancé bought my engagement ring at a Jared in Missouri. We brought it to this Jared for repairs because we moved across the country. They could care less and have no clue what’s going on. When I took my ring to them they said it would take 4 weeks. When we called 4 weeks later they told us it would take 6-8 weeks and that they had no update because home office doesn’t communicate with stores. It’s now been 7 weeks so I called for any hope of an update because of wedding events coming up and I was told it will now take 12 weeks and that they’ve seen it take even longer. They offered to call the home office but told me that it was pointless because they don’t return calls. Your ring is of no urgency to them. I feel like my ring is being held hostage. No one at this Jared has been helpful. This experience has been a nightmare. I’ve spent most of the beginning parts of my engagement ring less.

TL;DR: repair work is sloppy and they overcharged me. Brought a ring in to have a bent prong repaired. They charged me to “retip” four prongs ($265 total). They only actually did any work on the one that was bent, the other three are untouched, and market place to replace/repair one prong is definitely it $265. Worse, the prong they did try to fix is longer than the others now, it is not round or matching in shape, and most frustratingly, it is not directly opposite of the prong on the other side. Ring is no longer symmetrical. If I’d had time I would have made them redo it, but it took a week the first time and I didn’t have another week to spare. Not that I have any confidence in their jewelers ability anyway at this point.

They did a beautiful job of restoration and their price was better than ALL the other jewellers I went to in Rockville, MD. He had it ready for me in just 7 days - right on time for Valentines day. Inconsistent covid rules - store is open for regular business but they still have not reopened restrooms for customers. This is hugely inconvenient and seems to have more to do with corporate cost savings than preventing covid. Aside from that, this is one of the slower Jared locations. Services that would take a matter of minutes at other locations take multiple days. I would skip this location if you have the option.

This is the WORST place you can go to for jewelry. Jared has single-handedly ruined our wedding experience when it comes to our rings. When I brought my engagement ring to get resized (2 days after getting engaged), the STORE MANAGER told me that my ring was a fake even though I had all of the paperwork from James Allen. I was in tears and absolutely devastated. The managers colleague told me no, its real, dont listen to him. And the manager proceeded to tell me that my $10,000+ engagement ring was a fake. Fast forward a couple months later, my fiancé takes his wedding band in to get resized to a smaller size. The ring they give back to him is larger than his original ring - this ring also has a brand new inscription that was not on the original ring, and the old inscription is gone. They gave us someone elses ring! And they continued to argue with us that this ring was indeed the one we provided for the resize. We are devastated. Were getting married in a month and these guys have completely ruined our experience with our rings. They should not be in business. DO NOT GO TO THEM!

I can not commend the hard work and dedication enough that I received from Holly at Jared’s in Rockville MD. She went out of her way to research numerous beautiful options for me. I was slightly on the fence about my budget and she immediately jumped in with more cost effective options that made me feel very comfortable. Days after I dropped off my ring, Covid hit and stores shut down. She kept me updated and informed throughout the entire shutdown. Even when there was no news she still let me reached out just to check in - THIS WAS EXCEPTIONAL! I have never dealt with a more attentive and thorough sales person in my life. I will recommend Jared and Holly specifically to everyone I know. I ended up moving during the shutdown and Holly made sure that my ring was sent to me and even checked the tracking number during the shipment process. I had arranged to pick the package at the warehouse up rather than possibly miss the delivery at home and she contacted me immediately to make sure that the change was made by me. Jared’s has a GEM/SUPERSTAR of an employee there. I will ALWAYS shop at Jared’s for jewelry from now on - exclusively. And it’s all due to one very incredible employee!

At other locations its a less then memorable moment, im not buy im just using the services. But this was a kind, loving act on the woman who took the time to assist me at this location. Bought my wife a wedding ring everything was nice about great customer service at the moment until I go back after 15 days but they didnt let me in because it was by appointment only but the day I purchase the ring i didnt need appointment and the credit card is super bad from the customer service to promotion and every question is like they never have a answer. DO NOT USE THEIR JEWELRY REPAIR GUY! He ruined my wedding ring, and even the store manager did not care. We bought my engagement ring here plus other items, so it’s quite obvious they don’t value even their REPEAT business customers.There were a few stones loose in my wedding ring, so we decided that we’d drop it off with my engagement ring to get them tightened, $67 and 3 days to do so. When we got it back, I noticed that they put EIGHT dents in the band while tightening the sapphire stones AND the once smooth/even 14k white gold band is deformed (look at the pictures!). When we complained and asked how they could possibly return a ring like that, they mentioned it goes through TWO quality assurance points of inspections and admitted they made a mistake. They said they’d try to fix it. After I asked for my money back AND for them to fix it, they offered only a 50% off the service. So they wanted me to still pay for them screwing up my wedding ring. When I said that’s unacceptable, the manager came out and belittled the damage, calling it “one little dent.” After I angrily told him no, there were EIGHT dents, he only then took a look at the ring with their magnifying glass and admitted it was a mistake, but he never actually seemed sorry. At one point he even said he’d like to replace it... until he found out it wasn’t bought from them. Keep that in mind if you drop off any jewelry with them!To add insult to injury, he started to question how the dents appeared, seemingly accusing me. When I said I have pictures of it without dents, he then backtracked and tried to explain “well we use metal tools, so it’s metal on metal.” I told him that the maker of the ring was able to do it, and Jared’s supposed to be a professional jewelry repair shop! Honestly, by the end of the conversation with this sorry excuse for a store manager, I didn’t feel I could trust them anymore. I’m hoping this review spares some other unsuspecting customers pain for their fine jewelry, especially if it holds any sentimental value to them.

I previously placed an online order from Jared, but it wasnt going to make it to me in time. I went to the Rockville location, and the manager Pierce Parker was able to get me the ring I needed, in the time I needed, and he worked out the cancellation of my previous order. I would not hesitate to go see him for any of my future jewelry needs. His customer service is top notch A+

I had just recently went shopping for an engagement ring for my now fiance, and went to multiple stores in multiple areas. Each experience was incredibly rude and left a horrible taste in my mouth. This Jared was NOT the case. I cannot speak more highly of a jewelry store. Her and I had gone in to shop around for wedding bands, and I left there today simply relieved that not all jewelers are created equal. Greeted as soon as we walked in, no pressure to buy anything, not once was were we talked down to or made to feel inferior. Just an all around great experience.The woman that helped us was Kelsey. If you know whats good for you youll be smart and ask for her to help you. She was unbelievably helpful, had outstanding customer service, and will absolutely be getting my business for as long as she works there. Im by no means someone who wears jewelry, but my future wife most definitely is. We will be coming back for many years to come, and I will personally be asking for Kelsey each and every time.

Best shopping experience ever! I came into the store very rushed. I was a few weeks shy of my wedding. Things had been hectic. I forgot to pick out bridesmaids gifts. I had a large bridal party, and I wasn’t sure what to purchase. I wanted to do something unique, but I could not think of the perfect gift. I stopped in Jared while running errands. I was immediately greeted by Ashley when I walked in. She met me with a large warm smile. I explained my needs, and she immediately knocked it out of the ballpark. She led me over to the Pandora section and thoroughly explained the collection. I fell in love with a beautiful rose gold necklace and earring combo that she picked out. It didn’t stop there. She gift wrapped 14 boxes with lovely rose gold wrapping paper. She used her own PERSONAL TIME AT HOME and made the most creative inserts to place inside the boxes. WOW. The inserts said, “She went to Jared”. The gifts were a huge hit! The bridesmaids wear their gifts daily. I was completely blown away by Ashley. She is knowledgeable, relatable, creative, and genuinely cares about her customers. Ashley is a huge asset to your company. She deserves much kudos. Ashley and Jared have gained a customer for life. I will always be thankful for Ashley. Thank you for creating memories!

I went into the store and spoke with a very polite gentleman who identified himself as Mr. Pierce. Mr. Pierce was very patient with me and I eventually settled on a wedding ring to replace the one I had lost.Upon receiving the ring, I didn’t like the way it fit. Mr. Pierce gladly ordered a size smaller. The ring arrived quickly and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.Mr. Pierce, your professionalism and dedication to customer service should be emulated. I give them 2 stars since, before today, they were always very friendly. Before today, I WAS BUYING SOMETHING. I paid to have my ring engraved. A year and a bit smaller = having to REPAY to have it engraved. I was also informed it was my choice not to have it re engraved. No, my choice would have been A.) get my money back for the original engraving or B.) To have the ring come back in the same condition as I originally picked it up in!My Choice, now, is to not have dealings with a large company that cares nothing of retaining relationships with customers.Update: I called to cancel my card. They offered to engrave at no charge for the confusion. I had to be on hold for over 40 min. I am still upset over the principle. I should not have to pay to engrave a ring multiple times. They should charge more initially and cover any addition at no charge or they should tell you, up front, you will have to, repeatedly, repay to engrave. That is ridiculous!

My fiance and I had a wonderful experience shopping at Jareds for our wedding bands. We spontaneously decided at 10 minutes till they closed on a weeknight, to take a look at rings. Their associate welcomed us warmly, got us a bottle of water and directed us to the ring cases. They took their time showing us many different styles and really impressed us with their knowledge of metals and gemstones. We ended up walking out with my ring and found the one for my fiance, but have to save up a little before coming back to buy it. I would definitely recommend this store to any couple looking for their wedding bands....even on a whim, 10 minutes to close!

They also lied about the payment program, first promising 0% interest and then saying they sold their finance department and then charging me 25% interest one month after I bought the ring. Don’t go here if you want quality and good service.

Stopped by to have a watch bracelet resized. Was told it would be $30 and 5 minutes. It took an hour but they were generous enough not to charge.I was no more than a mile down the road when the watch fell of my wrist. The band came apart in three separate places. My watch bracelet is now in pieces and pins are missing.All in all a poor experience.

Ive been to Jareds in 3 other states, and this was by far my worst experience. I worked with 2 managers, Sam and A.J. and they were both completely unhelpful. A.J. in particular was combative and unfriendly. I came for a cleaning and dipping (I have a lifetime warranty) and the dipping was done poorly, to where the center diamond appeared to have a yellow tint. Instead of immediately saying well go fix it, Sam saw the tint and instead of examining it, said he couldnt help me so I asked to speak with another manager, A.J. When I showed A.J. that the ring was displaying a yellow tint, he wanted to debate about it instead of simply acknowledging that it was a poor job of dipping (I had to point out where you could still see the white gold band). This was the absolutely worse service Ive had as a customer who has a lifetime plan. A.J. wouldnt even look up my file and instead insisted I bring in certification papers (though I have the papers....he didnt even take the time to look this up in their own records to see what type of grade the stone was!). Totally unprofessional, poor customer service, and incompetence. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Unorganized and sell inferior product. Bought a diamond wedding band and has been less than 3 years and the same stone has had to be fixed multiple times. Go to pick it up and they argue with my wife that the band she brought in was yellow gold and not white like the picture they took upon drop off. Poor service and poor quality ..... take your money else where. I know I will and cancel the Jared’s Credit Card I have as well.

I bought my wifes engagement and wedding ring here and every one I interact with is rude, not helpful, and never seems to know what is going on. They over promise and under deliver consistently. We had to go back multiple times to fix something on her engagement ring because they couldnt follow simple, clear instructions that were checked and double checked before leaving.This has been the worst experience at a jewelry store Ive ever had and I will not be using their business again.

This Jared is by far the worst Jewelry store I have ever been to. Their customer service is atrocious and they cannot seem to get anything right. They use an antiquated carbon copy receipt system so any time you call or go in they can never find your order. I had to go back 3 different times to change the setting on my ring because they couldnt follow simple instructions and do it correctly. They have been making my band for over 8 weeks now and they are still barely on the design phase there are still 3 steps to go. Everyone I have worked with is exceptionally rude and gives different information. I do not recommend this place at all, I regret ever working with them. .

First, if you are looking to buy Pandora, go to Tiara in Congressional Plaza. They have more knowledgeable salespeople and a much larger selection. Dont waste you time here.So I was buying two Pandora bracelets for my girl friends, each with several different charms. My friends already found what charms they want online and gave me a list with pics and product numbers. Still, the salesperson spent 1.5 hours in total locating the charms in stock and placing orders for those not in stock. In the end I had to leave to pick up my daughter (totally didnt expect spending so much time for a seemingly simple task) so I told him to stop locating what he didnt find yet.When I got home I noticed that one of the bracelets seemed to be unproportionally short so I measured its length -- Tada! Wrong size!One week later I went again to pick up my ordered charms and exchange the wrong-size bracelet. When my salesperson called to inform me that my order has arrived he asked me when Im going in and I said tomorrow morning, but when I was there he hasnt come in yet (whats the point in asking for my time then?) So his colleague helped me and I asked him to cancel the other order which did not arrive in time. He said it was all done. When I got home I found that there was no record of refund on my credit card, so I called and my salesperson told me his colleague didnt do it, meaning I will have to go a third time to cancel my order.This is one of the worst services Ive experienced in the US. Totally regret going there. Should have checked the reviews before going.

If i could rate it less then ZERO stars i would do it.It is ran by liars and crooks that sold my account information off to a different bank without informing me.THEN i was refused account access to jareds online account bill pay.Ive tried to call commenity and jared customer care, only to be on hold for 30-40 minutes at a time everytime i called.I was garunteed that i could pay in the store if anything were to happen and now i cant even to do that. It sounds to me like theyre just screwing me over jnto paying 30% interest on a 2.1 thousand dollar ring set.I wish i could punch every one of these lying snakes and crooks in their gills. Ive never had customer service or untrustworthy business ethics on this level in my life. I feel completely jipped.DO NOT GO TO JAREDS. Save yourself ALOT of money and time.

I went into Jared this summer to look for a wedding band. I was about to move to Texas to live with my fiance who is in the military and wanted to find a ring that matched my engagement ring before I left town. I found a ring that I felt okay with because my associate--Svetlana--was being particularly pushy. I said that I wanted to think on it and came back about two weeks later. Svetlana showed us the ring again and I said I was interested in hearing about payment plans. She eventually told me that the ring might be going on sale soon and to wait to purchase the ring if at all possible. She said all I had to fill out a form to sign up for the coupons and catalogs to be alerted when the sale would start and once I did that, all I would have to do is call her and she would place an order for the ring. The form asked for a lot of information, including my social security number. This raised a HUGE red flag. I asked her three or four times whether I was signing up for a credit card or a credit check, she assured me each time I asked that I was not. After some back and forth I reluctantly filled out the sheet and shook her hand to leave. As much as I dont like getting lots of mail, I figured I could unsubscribe once I made the purchase. About a week later, a Jared credit card showed up in the mail and I was livid. When I called the store, Svetlana was conveniently not there, and all the manager did was say he was sorry for the misunderstanding, stating he would be happy to handle my account from here on out and that he had never gotten a complaint like this before about her. This is a huge purchase--a huge investment. This is my WEDDING RING. While they are sales people, I have never been treated this way at a jeweler because they know how big these purchases are and they ultimately want their customers to leave happy and come back to do business with them again in the future. I dont feel comfortable doing business with a company I cant trust, which is why I ended up buying my ring somewhere else. The Jared associate and this alleged manager--who I am almost certain was another associate covering for his co-worker--lied to me numerous times. Do not do business at this Jared. They are liars who dont deserve your money.

When these guys ask you for your SSN and personal information to make a soft credit check on what you can afford at Jareds... make a run for the hills. Run FAST.About 1-2 weeks ago, my boyfriend and I went to Jareds to look at engagement rings. Weve been talking about it for a while, and we both decided it would be best to take a look to know what we want. We informed the representatives that this was the first Jewelry store that we have visited, and that we had no intentions of purchasing on the spot. We wanted some time to research and purchase when we felt we were ready.While we were there, Pierce asked my boyfriend for his personal information. He told my boyfriend he was going to do a soft credit check to let him know what he could afford. My boyfriend is a nice guy, and Pierce assured us it wasnt a credit card when I was asking them Why do you need his SSN?We left, feeling pretty good about our experience and thought that we had a better handle on what we should look for in a ring.1-2 weeks later, we get a Jareds credit card in the mail for the exact amount of the ring we were looking at while we were at the store. This is illegal and deceptive sales practices! If Jareds give credit and push their reps to make as many credit card sales as they can throughout the day, well, this is wrong and illegal. They didnt even tell us we signed up for a credit card! We walked out feeling that all was right in the world!I dont understand. You wanted us to buy a ring from you... how would it make sense to trick your customers into signing up for a credit card? Ive worked in retail and have sold store credit cards to the customers before. You typically let them know its a store credit card before they sign up, and then give them a handbook to let them know their terms and conditions. It doesnt make your customer want the product anymore. Safe to say, we will never step into Jareds again. I will do as much as I can to tell all my friends to stay away. I should have listened to my recently engaged and married friend when she told me to steer clear from Jareds. Thank you for dinging our credit. We cancelled the card immediately and filed multiple complaints with you (directed at Ron and Pierce, you deceptive snakes) via corporate. I will make sure you never do this to any other couple looking to get engaged, ever again. Getting engaged should be a happy thing. Thanks for ruining the experience for us.

My husband has purchased jewelry for me from Jareds for many years. The caliber of the people they employee is exceptional. The employees are always knowledgeable and friendly. You really feel more like a friend than a customer. It makes you want to buy from them and to keep coming back.Nowhere is the service, friendliness, and knowledge better than at the Rockville store. The manager, Kerri, is really awesome. You can tell the employees love working there. Of course the quantity and quality of the jewelry is also superb, and the price is in line with current market prices.If you are in the market for any type of jewelry, do yourself a favor and go to the Jareds in Rockville. You will not be sorry.

Ive visited this location only a few times. However, the service was amazing. My man AJ was just great and knowledgeable about my selections. He introduced me to the GM Kerri who went above and beyond in looking up a specific item that I inquired about. She noticed the bracelet I was wearing was a little dull. She had a worker clean it for me and it was shiny upon return. They have been great every time. I will be going there again. And again. And again.
