Service received: state safety inspection.From what I understand the price of $97 is expensive for a safety inspection. I am new to the area and felt it was worth the price since they provided a trustworthy, reliable service. Despite needing to remove the tint on my vehicle (from a local shop up the road), the service was super fast and friendly. Reinspection only took 15 minutes after returning. I think I will be returning for other auto related needs!
I had the worst day in a while but the 2 reps provided great service and were very patient with me. Service tech was honest and knowledgeable. Showed me what was wrong and why. Overall excellent performances
For the past several years I have dealt with the AAA Rockville Car Care Insurance Travel Center. Recently I took my car in for routine maintenance, requesting an oil change as well as a check of the tires, battery, and fluids. The time for completion was estimated at 1.5 hours; I was told I would be called then. After 2 hours I returned and saw my car in the parking area; no call.The AAA representative who had checked me in told me that there was a problem with the oil pan. It required replacement and would need to be ordered. The cost, including labor, would be approximately $455.00. I asked why she hadnt notified me by phone BEFORE the oil was changed and also asked if it was an emergency. She responded that I could have it repaired the next time I brought the car in for maintenance. She also told me that the tires were balding and that the windshield wipers needed to be replaced. When I stated that I had bought new tires from them less than 2 years ago and had driven relatively little since then, the representative asked me if I was sure I had purchased the tires from them. I responded yes. She then realized that she was looking at someone elses bill. I paid and left, disappointed and disgusted.That was about 2 weeks ago. I didnt drive in very hot weather until yesterday. When I turned on the A/C no cold air was forthcoming. Rather than return to the AAA Rockville Car Care Insurance Travel Center for repair, I am considering finding another service for my automotive needs.

I got locked out my car today for rushing to get into work! I literally just made a Google account to write a review which I don’t ever do! So I want to tell everyone how great this company is!!! The reps were so nice!!!! And the person who came to unlock my car was awesome! Everything was a great service!!! I recommend 100%
I went there the first time because my VW broke down and they suggested bringing it to their own repair shop, which was close by. I decided to try it because my experience with dealerships has been hit or miss over the years. Was pleasantly surprised. Ive now been there 3 or 4 times for repairs and oil changes. Staff is always friendly and pleasant and efficient. Dont know a ton about cars but unlike the dealerships I never had to go back twice to fix the same problem. Also, had one issue that they told me was repairable but that they didnt have the equipment to do it - and helped me save $ by directing me to a shop that could make the repair rather than simply making the unncecessary and much more costly replacement. So, so far so good with AAA and I will continue to go to them as my shop of choice as long as the quality service continues.

My fiancé and I broke down while traveling to Jersey. They(AAA) towed us to the Rockville car center. From start to finish, the experience was first rate! Mr. Williams was our “car genius”, who was friendly, direct, and came across as honest with our situation... a special order part was required. He helped us get a AAA member discount on a rental car through Hertz. All in all, it didn’t feel like your typical car repair experience, and that’s a good thing!

If you want an appointment dont use the web site. They dont check it and give your appointment time to anyone who calls or comes in the store. So you get pushed out and out and out. Really rinky dink.
Took my car in to have tires mounted and balanced. Tires were not balanced properly and were over inflated. Took the car back in to have the problem addressed only to be told I needed brakes and the tires were not an issue. Explained that my brakes were fine as they were just replaced. I will never use their services again. They have yet to correct the problem even after multiple calls to the manager and corporate.
Just had new tires installed and alignment done last week (purchased from and online tire supplier and shipped to AAA). Very impressed with this location. My first time using AAA. Staff were very welcoming, professional, pricing quoted was honored, and service was done in 2 hours as estimated. They are set up for social distancing and had protective sheilds and hand sanitizer available.... I felt comfortable inside the business. My car feels brand new with the new tires. I inquired about other services offered and was provided info from the staff. Would definitely have my car service work done here in the future and would highly recommend.

I had state inspection done for which they charged 89$ and it took around 2.5 hours. They had nice seating area.
I love this location. I went in needing new tires and brake pads. DeNia was nice, sweet and patience with me. I was there until closing time and she kept me updated with details about the process. A couple of weeks later, i had to go back for a flat tire . Melvin helped me out since 7:00 am. He kept me updated with any changes and listened to my concerns. Great staff.
I had prior repairs done at a AAA service center out of state. About 3 weeks after the repairs had been done, I had some complications resulting from the original repair and I took the car to AAA Rockville. Joselin Polanco called AAA corporate for me and was able to have the second set of repairs done under the AAA warranty. She was a huge help and Im hoping that my car is finally fixed. The professionalism at AAA Rockville and their willingness to help is a breath of fresh air. Joselin Polanco is the best.
Ive been coming to this location for years, Joselin is very professional, easy to talk to, and consistent with their customer service. I like that they explain what needs to be done and physically show you why some parts need to changed.

Do not use for car service! I had an appointment for an oil change and waited over 2 hours past that time. They didnt add enough oil so the very next day I got a low oil warning and then a couple hours later a severely low oil warning. To their credit, they sent a guy to our house to fill it up more. However, the customer service and lack of proper vehicle care causes me to write this 1 star review and I will never return for car service again.

Melvin was super helpful. Our coolant had been leaking, so the leak was repaired in a timely manner, and very reasonably priced! The communication was great as well, I was called with updates regularly the one day that I dropped the car off, (volvos system was down so we had to wait on the part which wasnt AAAs problem/fault). I got a call when the part arrived and then i waited there for the repairs to be done. Nice waiting lobby as well! Will definitely be bringing my car back here for any future repairs!

I would not recommend this shop they over filled my transmission fluid by 2 quarts above the manufacturer recommend fill line damaging my transmission and my truck broke down on the side of the road . I called AAA they towed my truck 104 miles back to this shop they drain all the extra fluid above the recommend fill line but refuse to repair my transmission. I spoke to the manager Melvin several time about my transmission damage and he told me that this shop will not pay for the repairs to my transmission. What Melvin the manager gave me was and estimate of $3,900.00 that I have to pay for the damages they caused by over filling my transmission, basically Melvin gave me the run a round. I currently have my truck in a transmission repair shop getting a new transmission installed at $ 3,900.00 and no truck for 1 month. Be careful dropping off your car this is not a trustworthy shop they do not stand behind their work and the shop workers are careless and lack training. If you have your car repaired in this shop have it double checked by a mechanic. I made a mistake of trusting this shop to do a simple task of changing my transmission fluid now Im paying $3,900.00 for it.

The care and effort that Robert did to ensure that not only did I have a ride home and that my car would be repaired in a timely manner with the appropriate parts. I normally take all my cars to AAA Rockville facility. Last time I took they put too much pressure on the tires while doing the oil change. The tire light came immediately. Next day I took the car to them, they refused take a look - they only look at the cars on appointments only on Sundays.
The new manager Leo is awful. I called at 7:15 am Friday morning to bring in my wifes car for oil change. He said they can do it but it would take about 2 hours. When I brought the car in he asked if I had a AAA membership. I provided my wifes name who had the membership. He took him about 10 min to lookup the number while I was standing right in front him. After checking the membership, he finally decided to take the car in. Then I asked Leo how much will it cost? He answered every car is different even though I can see a sticker price for oil change price was on a desk to my right for 25.95$. I reminded him that we always changed our cars oils there and it always cost around 29$. He still decided to go check the car outside for another 10 min.When Leo returned he entered some notes again in his computer for another 2-3 minutes. Then he told me that it will cost around 33$. I said fine: can we expect the car in couple hours I asked? He answered that it will be done by noon. Then I asked if I could have a copy of my wifes membership information that he printed earlier. Leo asked answered that he couldnt give it to me but only to the card holder. I thought sure thats fair game. So I called my wife who was patiently waiting for me outside all this time to come in and collect her membership information as requested by Leo. My wife came in and Leo decided that he couldnt give her either the membership information. I asked why? He said that she needs to register with his colleague to get a new card sent to her home address.I was stunned. Now more than 30 minutes have passed and I was just about to take my car elsewhere because of the bureaucracy. However, I simply thought that this is not acceptable. A simple oil change shouldnt be that difficult. If Leo was a white man I would have think that he is racist but now I simply dont know what to make this one but it simply an awful experience. I would never bring my cars there again as long this guy working there.Gary

I had my car towed with my AAA Membership for free as my car wasn’t starting. Went in for a starter replacement came out with a messed up alignment where the steering wheel was completely off center. I realized upon driving out and immediately turned around frustrated as my alignment should not have been touched. I confronted the rep at the front desk and he pulled out my file and told me my alignment was not touched and only my starter was replaced, which should have been the case. He prompted to offer me an alignment for another $89 where I became more frustrated as my car my completely fine going in. I left soon after even more upset as obviously something went wrong and I felt Ineas being scammed into getting an alignment I originally did not need. As of now I am never going back to this AAA center for any repairs and suggest others do the same.

My truck broke down on Saturday night and was towed to the AAA Rockville Car Care (I am from New Jersey and was on vacation). I met with Robert Johnson (Car Care Service Advisor) at 10AM on Sunday. By 10:05AM, Robert had his technicians working on my truck. By 12PM, my truck was fixed (alternator ground came off) and I was on my way. Robert was excellent with managing the service center and dealing with the customers. I highly recommend Robert and his service center to assist you with any car problems.
Took my Toyota Tacoma in few months back to have tires put on. Some guy came back to me in the waiting area with a list of services recommended for my vehicle. I laughed so hard, he was insulted. I instructed him to put the new tires on my truck.The tires were put on with the fashionable blue lettering still intact, and tire pressure low.I went back the next day to resolve my issues. They were more than effecient in doing so.
Do not use. They lie. I was told it would cost 1,900 to pass inspection because cv joints, tie rod and swing bar and that they determined this by taking it for 2 mile drive on crappy main roads. They did not realize that I have worked on many cars, including adding the lift to this truck and knew that nothing was wrong - especially the alleged shaking of the steering wheel that they claimed was occurring. I took it to much better mechanic that friend referred me to and they confirmed nothing wrong, was actually a loose bolt on sway bar - no charge, was included with inspection!After seeing this complaint they offered to reimburse me for the $90 that they stole from me (charging me the inspection fee after lying about needed repairs) but said I would need to waist another day and have them reinspect it), they assume we have no brain and all the time in the world.
I worked with Robert Johnson to assist me with replacing a flat tire and getting an oil change. He was knowlegedable, kind, and very helpful! He gave me a wonderful deal.
I called AAA to come and remove my tire and place spare on (something in my tire) when they arrived, they were very persistent on me going to the Rockville car care....I went thumping over there...they told me it would take an hour to repair my tire if it was repairable....i dont know the newer cars well but I do know cars in general and assured them it was fixable....they came back to me about 35 minutes later saying its not repairable, so they took another 30 minutes to put my spare on and sent me on my way....forward to today, as i predicted, it was fixable (2 different places agreed....it was not on the side it wasnt even on the shoulder.... lessen learned.... this is my first issue with AAA, next time i will stick to what I want.

I wont bring my car back here. Customer service is mediocre at best. Poor communication between areas. Front desk doesnt know what tow is doing, tow doesnt know what mechanics need, its like being at an ER and everytime a person comes in you have to tell your story all over again.I get that they are not responsible for lost materials, but my laptop and sons handicap placard and meds were at their facility for four days and they never bothered calling me back.... Then blamed it on me saying I left it there (I did in my car, not at your facility)They also told me initially only one thing was wrong with my car, and it could be done that same day only to later say they couldnt find a part and it needed to be ordered. Okay cool.I call the next day around the estimated completion time and I am convinced the young lady that works on Sundays must hate her job because she was beyond rude. She never bothered to order the part until I called. Then a part magically showed up when I told them I was just gonna call a tow to take it to the dealership instead.Then all of a sudden there were additional issues with the car.I signed because I needed my car (Im from out of state) but noted under duress. I finally spoke to the manager a few days later and discovered my laptop was there and questioned the work and professionalism.Tom was very condescending and brushed me off. Apparently my laptop and sons placard and medication being there without me placing it there was not a big deal. He told me it was my fault. I dunno, my contact info was in the bag, call me maybe? Especially since I had already requested a call back anyway because I couldnt find my bag and was upset about the additional charges.Long story short, things happen and go wrong as it is life. However, their rudeness and poor communication is what will prevent me from using them again.

Everyone is VERY friendly and you are addressed immediately, upon arrival. Yamile has taken care of me a few times and every time she is very professional. I do trust AAA and the advice they give me. I have had other car care professionals look at my SUV and they would say it needed this and that. I would turn around and take it to AAA and Yamile would say no you do not need that......wow that never happens! Like I stated everyone is really nice. I was greeted and had shaken last time there by Soto ....that made me feel important. Thank you!
Booked a vacation to Disney—— made a 400 payment—- only to have the vacation traveler inform me that she charged my account 2,000.00. WTF—- my account is now in the negative and the banks are closed due to the holiday! I have no gas in my car, refrigerator is empty and no manager in the office until Tuesday! It’s gonna take my bank days before they issue my money back! Very disappointed with this million dollar company.

They not only lost the passenger side wheel cup and left lose the under the driver´s wheel liner, causing all kinds of problems, but also did not do 2 of the things expected. Took almost 4 hours and meanwhile they tried to sell me insurance at all cost. Horrible service repair. The customer service at the front counter was courteous and friendly, but that´s about it and that´s why they are getting one star. Do yourself a favor: avoid this place at all cost. Thank God a friend took care of the liner and bought the wheel cup at the VW dealer. Don´t trust this center at all.

Ive been there three times. The first time was ok just wanted charging system check, but the next two times were a joke. The manager just sits there while his staff is having issues and refuses to help them. The last two times when I arrived to pick up my vehicle the invoice was not ready although they called me and said it was ready to be picked up. Both times the invoice was more than the agreed estimate. The advisor said sorry let me correct that.. really.... Ive tried to reach the District Manager for 3 weeks without a callback or acknowledgment from AAA corp. My advise review your final invoice, because it seams totals increase mysteriously without your knowledge.

I want to commend Denia at the Rockville AAA location for her excellent customer service. I was having some challenges scheduling tire service at another AAA location. I called the Rockville location to check availability for tires service. Denia provide an appointment time that worked for me at the Rockville location. I explained to Denia that the tires were at the other AAA location. After she realized that I would have to transport the tires to the Rockville location, Denia took the initiative to contact the other AAA location. She helped me to obtain an agreeable appointment time at the other AAA location, so that I would not have to transport the tires to the Rockville location. I appreciate Denia’s focus on the customer experience and customer satisfaction. The question is why the appointment time at the other location obtained with Denia’s assistance was not provided when I originally called to schedule the appointment..

I think whoever is giving bad reviews to the company should review everything else before giving a bad review. Some workers in there get really tired in there even if the service is slow everyone should appreciate all their hard work.

I had a complicated MVA transaction to be done, similar to a 3 way NBA draft, but she was quick to figure out all the steps that needed to be done in order to make my trade happen!AAAs service fee is very reasonable given the amount of work that needed to be done.Thanks for a great customer service!

Forgot to place the oil cap after an oil change
I am from out of state, and was traveling when my Alternator gave out. The people at this AAA, from the time I got towed to the time I pulled out were nothing but absolutely excellent to me. They went above and beyond, trying to help me get back on the road and to get to my destination. I cant thank them enough!
