It’s worth going out of your way to eat here. Delicious food, clean and relaxing atmosphere. It was as if my sandwich had been made special just for me by a friend, that’s the level of attention to detail here. We found HearthRock on a cross-country drive and chose it, honestly, because of the cool name. We were blown away by how nice it was. We’ll go out of our way to come back!

Cozy spot to have a good meal while dreaming about decorating your home! Though they offer take-out as well, which is what we did this time for Rockfords restaurant week. We tried the Cuban and the ribs quesadilla. I loved the smoky flavor of the meat in the dilla and would give it a thumbs up. Friendly service as well!

I’ve enjoyed my experience here so far. Cozy atmosphere. The Cuban was excellent. Chili is good. I thought the baby back rib quesadillas were too greasy and could have used a white fresco cheese as substitute for the cheddar but flavor overall was decent.Pictured is the Rueben and chili.

A hidden gem residing on the 2nd floor of Benson Stone Co. Their espresso is amazing. Actually everything Ive tried there is: the spice lentil soup, the veggie sandwich, the chili, the apple walnut salad. Cool atmosphere. Very reasonable prices.

You wouldnt guess theres a cafe inside the fireplace store but there is and Its lovely. The atmosphere is cozy and has a picturesque fireplace amidst the tables. The cashier was friendly. I ordered half a sandwhich and cup of soup for $6.50. Corned beef and swiss on a croissant with roasted vegetable soup. The soup was very good and perfect on a cold afternoon. I also grabbed a orange cranberry muffin to go for $2.75. This was phenomenal. Very moist with a kick of sweet oranges and tart cranberry. They have scones, muffin tops, and giant cookies as well. The cookies were the best value in my opinion. At $1.75 and in several varieties, being the size of my face, they are hard to resist. Worth a visit but dont go with less than $10. Enjoy!
