I walked into auto body specialist today thinking that I was going to need to get my car door repainted. I asked to speak to Phil whom I was referred to and he got me in right away to get a quote. After looking at the scratch on my door he suggested we try buffing it out, He said if I wasn’t happy with the buff we would get to the quote for repainting the door. TYZN buffed out my car door at that point I could still see just a faint scratch so he took it back in and buffed it some more. My car looks brand new and Phil and TYZN saved me a lot of money that I expected to have to pay today. It is extremely refreshing to find a business that is so honest with its customers! I am extremely happy that I was referred to auto body specialist and I wish that I could give more than a five star review. Thank you so much Phil and TYXN! I promise to be back in the future. I called last week for an inquiry on removing a fake hood scoop that the previous owners had put on. The women on the phone just said stop on by and see what they can do. I went in today and had a very nice gentleman come out take a look and said they could remove it. They fit me in and it only took 30 minutes. Great customer service and great detail! I would recommend this place for sure and I will be coming back for any other issues.

Totally unprofessional. Dont recommend, I shouldnt have to argue with getting a simple job done. Said this was already there and they dont have time to look over every part of the car. Really really disappointed. Maybe instead of arguing with me, actually be professional and make it right.

Auto Body Specialists are great! This is the second time weve had to use them to repair damage to our vehicle. Each time they made the process very easy, continually updated us on the status and worked seamlessly with our insurance company to make sure we had nothing to deal with other than pay our deductible! The folks at Auto Body Specialists were very helpful in repairing my vehicle and making the most of my experience. In addition to meeting a very friendly staff I found myself in a warm (literally and figuratively it was -20 outside, but their office was warm!) environment that was very inviting. Phil was sincere regarding the cost/estimate and did not attempt to conceal anything from me. He even put me in touch with some car rental folks so I had something to drive. It’s not often that I encounter this level of attention to detail concerning the public relations dynamic during the course of business. Some shops I’ve used in the past have just wanted to do the work and get me out the door. These professionals were more interested in building a positive relationship with me, and that is something I will never forget.It was a pleasure working with Todd, Phil, and Drew. They were able to order the parts I needed and install them in less than three days. My car looked brand new when I picked it up. In addition to being repaired and painted, it was completely detailed. Even more surprising was that all this was done under the initial estimate I was given. I will be using Auto Body Specialists again in the future; because I’m convinced they are the best in Rockford if not Northern Illinois in terms of talent and fostering an environment where people feel welcome.

If not the best in Rockford, they must be close. They have repaired 2 vehicles for me- one older collectible (21 years old) and one newer. Both came back looking like new. Beautiful paint match and absolutely perfect body work. We couldn’t get in right away, but it was because they were very busy with other jobs. If I could get right in, I would be very skeptical. Kind of like a good restaurant – if you can get right in, the food probably isn’t that great! The help is very professional, the facility is immaculately clean and we were given a quote in 24 hours. I highly recommend this shop.

They were extremely rude and disrespectful in 2014; I was told those ppl are gone, but look at what they want to re-repair! You cannot repair rust it will come back. Beware; as Napleton Auto recommended them too so did State Farm; so there you have it!

I went there for an estimate on my car. Carlos was very thorough. I havent had the work done as Im waiting for the insurance adjuster. I was pleased with the professionalism in which he talked to me about things that could go wrong during removal of moldings and parts on the vehicle. I will more than likely have them fix it once I hear from insurance.

Very open about his findings and approach to resolve the paint problem, ironically enough.In my experience these are communicative, understanding, honest individuals looking to provide the best service possible, and for reputable prices. With a keen eye for detail, the people at ABS will treat you right if you give them the chance.

I would highly recommend Auto Body Specialists! My experience with ABS was hassle free - they dealt directly with the insurance company and performed the repairs on a schedule that worked for me. The door on my Subaru Forester was perfectly repaired and, when I picked it up, I was thrilled to find a sparkling clean interior as well...it was like getting into a new car.

My 15 accord was rear ended, took the car to ABS and they did an outstanding job fixing the car. They are always friendly and knowledgeable. would recommend for anyone needing repair work on a vehicle.

Heard from a friend about this location. Had a dent in my car and approached them for a quote. The receptionist and the estimating manager are very friendly, knowledgeable. they have a very good workshop and use all genuine parts. Got a very detailed estimate from them. I wish I could have rated a zero, but it looks like the one is the lowest you can go. They probably do fantastic work on your car, but I will never know. I called to try and bring my car in to have it fixed at ABS. I was told by my insurancecompany to leave the car at ABS and that the insurance adjuster would be by later that day or the next day to work up a quote, because ABS was not on there preferred list.ABS told me that I could not leave my car there, that they would work up a quote and put a bulb in the headlight of the headlight that was destroyed by hitting a deer. I said I was still not comfortable driving the vehicle even if they did do this because the headlight was going the wrong direction and everytime i hit a bump things would shift or fall off, plus the insurance company still needed to look at the vehicle.ABS threaten to move my car to the back lot, if I left my car there and that if it was moved to the back lot, that they might not even start working on it for a month.WOW! Guess what I did. Took my car to a place that fixed it right away.

After 2 FULL rebuilds of classic cars back to show room NEW and custom work on an El Camino, I can say nothing but great things about Auto Body Specialists. I went to other places before, but the others never could get the cars back to new condition. When Auto Body Specialists are finished with my cars they even have that new car smell. As with any full rebuild, (just like new cars) there are always small adjustments after they are delivered. Auto Body Specialists were on the small requests I had the same day! I was referred to ABS by a local bodyshop. I wished to have a protectant covering placed on the front, hood and wheel wells of my vehicle. They arranged for the service and completed it in the time stated. Their office and front staff were exceptional and I would highly recommend ABS for any auto repair services that you might have.

Outstanding job but final buff left some swirls and hood has spots that wont buff out, at least with my random orbital. Havent had time to bring it back to them.

To tell you how rude the staff was to me, promising to have my car inside so my battery would not die; and requesting my car be moved on a flatbed, as it was not drivable; was ignored they did not do any of these request, how they treat customers is worse; an understatement of how rude and mean the office staff was to me. The worst of it; their was to be new parts put on my car. My original side; no repair made is fine with paint, no rust. The repair of ABS edge wheel well area and the side of after 3 years 2 months is rusting, and you can feel it breaking away. The recommendations were from STATE FARM CAR INSURANCE and Napleton Auto, my recommendation would be minus stars.
