I love it here. My family does too. You can kill many hours looking around if you like old used things. Guess this is the kind of stuff you enjoy when you get older. Not sure if disorganization is purposeful, but makes it difficult to find what you want. Browsing of an afternoonis pleasant though. Very attentive to the mask rule much to the chagrin of my Tucker Carlson esque cousin. No biggie for me though. Staff is pleasant and prices are on the higher end of reasonable. All around good way to kill an afternoon. You might even find something you like!
Small high priced antique mall with a dull selection that seems to not change very often. Not sure what it is about this place, maybe its the location or something. Needs better stuff and the girl behind the register could be a little more friendly. Shes kinda snotty and a bit droll. Many other better antique malls in the area.
What a Great place to spend the day! We enjoyed it on our visit back in Rockford. It was wonderful to visit memory lane of all those childhood items from the past. This place is clean and inviting. You will find a wide variety of items from things perfect for the man cave, vintage toys, home decor, and so much more.I would highly recommend it. Im sure you will find something you will want for your home. Plus, The NEW Owners are great.
For the life of me, I dont understand the bad reviews. Ive been to EVERY antique shop and mall in northern Illinois and this is the best. They do have at least one person walking the floor all day long, ready if you want a locked case open to see an item. Nobody is following you around. There are lots of cases, but plenty out in the open, on tables and shelves. Been there 3 times. Not a craft mall. Mostly antiques. Good selection of 30-50s toys that are seldom seen in antique shops. Helpful and friendly staff. As far as the no dogs. . . they dont allow horses either. Get a life.
Lots of collectables. You can find it here. Well run and staffed, lots of help.
Amazing selection of items throughout this huge space. Everything under one roof! Great prices, friendly staff, and very clean. Not junky stuff at all at this location compared to other places we stopped at in town. We will visit again. Thanks for a great experience.
Absolutely stunning collections!!! The widest variety of unique finds i have EVER seen!! Store is clean, super organized and priced fairly. Store owners are the sweetest and most easy going people. 10 out of 10!
Walked in found all my stolen jewelry, clothes, shoes, military collection, and more! Guess what you can sell all stolen goods there, even guns. There was no law in Rockford prohibiting sales here, there is at a pawn shop???
Tons of great stuff. Prices vary, lots of great deals. Super clean. Make sure to make some time for this place, its large and has tons to look at.
Great place to look around and everything is displayed so well!! Very helpful staff workers too. Lots of fun!!
Fabulous antique treasures at reasonable price
Lots of items to see And employees were very courteous!
I almost Always find exactly what I am looking for. Wonderful staff, so friendly and helpful. Great prices, best selection for miles! Highly recommended
Great antique mall with many vendors and a wide variety of antiques and collectibles. Some extremely nice high end glassware and pottery but plenty of less expensive pieces. I really enjoyed the geological vendor with hundreds of semi precious stone samples, carved and raw. Worth an afternoon walk around. Plenty of parking. Staff is professional and most are courteous.
People and prices are fantastic. So many treasures.
I found a nice tobacco tin there they lots of older stuff there
Great place to find amazing furniture. You could fill two or three vintage themed diners or restaurants.
Wow Rockford I am totally impessed... This was my 1st time visiting your city and East State Street Antiques Mall. I may have just found my new favorite place to visit! I am so glad we stopped while passing through city. Stopping for gas and food I searched online and found about 3-4 different antiques stores all within roughly 40 mins of driving around the Rockford area. Rockfords East State Street Antiques Mall was by far the best stop out of all the ones we visited hands down. They had the largest selection of quality pieces overall in the area all under one roof displayed beautifully. In our opinion the other places were kind of a waste of time. They didnt even come close! Too bad we stopped at this location last and not first. So for those of you reading maybe I will save you the time and drive time. Make this place your first and only stop when looking for antiques or collectables in Rockford. You will thank me later. My favorite was they have several amazing vintage Toy collections and Jewelry to search through which was really fun. Made me feel like a kid again with my husband as well remembered playing with some of the items in our youth. So when we arrived we were greeted immediately with hellos. Made us feel welcome right away. We were told if we needed anything at all to ask or that they had floor walkers or employees that would check on us and see how we were doing throughout our visit. This place is huge!!!! We didnt know where to begin, but were excited for the adventure we were about to take. We must have spent like 4 hours in this place looking at all the different items. So many booths and glass showcases with different types of antiques & collectables. We were impressed by the quality and style of all booths & showcases. You can tell the dealers really take pride in displaying their items here. All the booths and showcases were full,.no empty spaces available. This told me that dealers want to be here selling their stuff. The prices were really fair we both felt. I am In and out of Antiques stores all across the Midwest and this is my new favorite by far. In comparison to some of the other local places we visited those stores we felt were filled with alot of garage sales items or just junky quality.Another great thing was the employees would take and hold our items at the front counter for us until we were ready to check out so we didnt have to carry it around during our shopping experience. The employees informed us that the place was under new ownership as of April 1st and that everyone was exciting for some fresh new ideas. They were expecting some new changes to only better what has been going on at this location for over 40 years of business. They informed us that the dealers are constantly bringing in new items and changing up their booths displays. We felt the place was clean and the staff were very friendly. So that is why I wanted to take the time out of my day to write a review congratulating the new owners and wishing them the best of luck in the future. We enjoyed our 1st visit to your establishment. We now love your place and will be making it a point to visit frequently.
What a wonderful day we had browsing through this amazing Antiques Mall that was filled with many different types of collections all under one roof. The friendly staff told my wife that they have over 115 different booths filled and almost 200 different glass showcases all filled. THATS ALOT OF STUFF!!! So I brought my entire family here while visiting Rockford looking for something different to do with the kids and something safe that was Covid friendly. We were so pleased that we decided to visit here that my wife and I both agreed we will be making trips to Rockford more often just so we can stop back to search for more treasures. There was literally something here for everyone and any age group. I loved seeing all the old toys that I had growing up playing with my brothers and sisters. The toys brought back a ton of great memories that I was able to share with my kids. Remembering each item and hearing some of the stories that grandma and grandpa shared with us as we saw different items in the mall was absolutely priceless..... This visit kept our kids intrest for several hours without any of the 3 of them touching an electronic device.. That never happens!!! Each one of us bought a few things to take home. Good thing it fit into our van, just barely though. My wife found some furniture and kitchen goods to decorate the house with, grandma found some knick-knacks and some jewelery, grandpa found some old coins and vintage tools to tinker with, my kids and I bought some amazing toys... What a fun day we had. The employees and staff that were working were very knowledgeable and helpful. They even carried items we planned on purchasing to the front counter for us so we didnt have to carry them around the building with us while we continued shopping. The prices we felt were very fair and priced to sell for the quality of the pieces. Just all the way around an impressive business. It was easy to find. They are located on the back side and lower level of a big strip mall looking building right off a major main drag intown called East State Street. We had stopped at a few of the other so called Antiques shops in town while we were visiting and not one was even close to as cool as the East State Street Antiques Mall location. Most of the other businesses were dirty places, unfriendly staff, filled with junk. Not as many quality items or as impressive. Also not even close to the size... It was like we were at an unorganized flea market or somebodys junky garage sale. Clearly East State Street Antiques Mall is run by respected professionals that truly take their line of work seriously. Either way we were blown away.... We will be back again soon. So my thanks you for a great day! Be back again soon.
Alwau enjoy browsing this place and have found several gems.
Quite impressive ! There policy is old vintage items.. There are some modern stuff she said in section. Just so much stuff in vintage !
Lots of variety and we found several treasures.
Very friendly environment. Lots of variety. Unfortunately not much in terms of primitives. They will not call dealers for price reductions unless its $50 or over however its a huge store with lots of dealers so you cant criticize them for that. They do honor 10% dealer discount and no tax with ID. I wd go back since I did find a few things.
So many items to browse. A lot of different items to look through. This had to me the most organized Antique Mall we have ever been to, and weve been to a lot!
Awesome placeLoved our visit
This was a better than average antique mall. Friendly people, something for all collectors, we found several items there to take home with us.
Always a great selection.
I love going to antique places and this one is very unique.
This place is a fun time capsule to explore that has a little something for everyone.
Antiques that were created in my life time. that makes me one too I guess. the song says ashes to ashes the rains turning Colder, but still I live in the days gone by. and so I go there to remember those days
There are always some wonderful treasures to be found here! Great place to get vintage magazines, like LIFE and Womens Home Journals from the 30s thru 60s, and toys like dice, antique porcelain dolls, Barbies, Hot Wheels, model tractors, et cetera! It tends to be busier on the weekends but much more manageable on weekdays. Best spot for thrifting in the Rockford and small town area, for sure, with something for absolutely everyone who visits! Definitely recommend making the time for a trip!
Good clean fun. Kids n I grabbed done good stuff
Very nice store a large selection of antiques. Reasonable prices.
Friendly staffgreat findslots of small treasures ... not so much furniture or larger itemsfun place to spend an afternoon
A really cool place to spend an afternoon. This is far nicer then most, because its not cluttered. The antiques here actually have value, but theres odd and interesting stuff to see as well.
My husband and I collect antiques. I love just wondering the aisle here because I see items we have and can see how they have them priced as well as finding some cool items for my collections. Prices are usually good and they are willing to barter with you. Around holidays most booths have a sale of some sort. Usually a percentage off the entire booth. It is worth stopping in and seeing what cool item you might find!!
Excellent
Very clean and organized antique mall! Staff very helpful and friendly!
You name it theyve got it. If your looking for someone elses old stuff then this is the place to wonder around. Some interesting antiques also there fair share of people selling miscellaneous stuff.
Great place to wander. Booths are well laid out and easy to see whats available. Friendly and helpful staff
Great values. Location may be a little hard to find, but well worth the effort. Its located behind the strip mall. They must have a hundred stalls with fascinating quality antiques. All are managed by the front checkout desk, individual stall owners may not be present. However the staff is friendly and helpful. I bought 2 items and they were carefully wrapped. Overall a great experience. Highly recommended.
Fantastic place. So large and so very many great pieces. The prices are reasonable also.
Very fun to walk around. There was a little but of everything from antiques to sports memorabilia, kids toys, clocks. great way to spend a few hours on the weekend! So many vendors and a good time for just about anyone.
After a good day of treasure hunting, this was a bad way to end it. My friend and I walked in at 6:30pm. We greeted the woman working the front desk and we’re immediately hit with a snappy “Just so you know, we’ll be closing shortly.” We said not a problem and began walking the isles. After a few trips down and back it was clear that we were being followed by another store employee. We found this odd as there were three or four other people also browsing the store. When the announcement came at 6:45 to bring final purchases; we headed to the front. However, with a few minutes left we were still talking and browsing as we went. We went to look at a case down an aisle and the lady at the front desk yelled, “Boys! We’ve got to go.” Clearly this comment was directed at the two of us and not at the other gentleman in the same isle as us. We just smiled and left. We walked out of the store at 6:52. There were still four other people browsing the store, but because we were younger (20s-30s) the message was clear. Not very welcoming at all.
Fun place, we enjoyed it.
Super nice staff, quality antiques
A nice place to shop and kill some time they had way more than I had expected everything from furniture, dishes to lots of car memorabilia .go and have some fun
This is a great place to find your favorite collectables and antiques. I often walk in the door looking for something specific and they always have multiple places to look. And theres always a nice person there ready to help.
Great selection from a great many sellers. You are bound to find something here that pleases no matter your taste or style. Large selection of library quality books. Lots of decorative, and cut glass for the glass collectors. They have a seller or two with vintage vinyl albums.
Always enjoy looking at all the old things. Sometimes finding a nice treasure.
Dont often find anything here. Prices are higher than most places we buy from.
We go antiquing a lot and this place is in the top 3 for antique malls. Lots of variety, good prices, something for everyone. Kind of hard to find as its in the back of a building with green awnings, not much advertising either. You must go if youre in the area!
Quite large and it is fun to shop items from the past, I would recommend spending a few hours.
Terrible experience! I love being able to go to all the antiques shops, flea markets and being able to see all the really cool antique items that were made with pride and last forever. However my experience today was totally different and really changed my view of this particular antique mall. How can you first off right when a customer walks in already be trying to find an excuse to get them out. Terrible customer service. Not only was I not able to enjoy my time walking around and being able to see all the cool antiques. Everywhere we went we were being followed as if we were thieves. Never again will I go here. Hurts to say it but you cant treat people like that and expect them to come back and spend money.
Great store.. lots of treasures. The dealers price their treasures to sell...we have brought home some real treasures.
I was quite impressed by the extensive variety of antiques the Antique Mall has to offer. Thank you for your hospitality!
Staff not very nice. Kinda messy . Not great.
Always enjoy visiting here. Was looking for a particular item this time & a very helpful lady suggested & walked me to a couple of areas to look. Wish I had more time as there was a lot that wasnt there a few weeks ago.
Don’t go if you bring your pet. They’re not allowed even if you carry them. This is rare -most stores allow unless there is food. I don’t know what they would say if you had a service dog. She didn’t ask me. If they don’t allow service dogs, it would be illegal and you could sue them. Someone with a service dog needs to test them.
Fascinating. Like a museum you could spend hours just looking!!!
Great deal of antique and vintage items! Very clean and well kept.Pricing varies from vendor to vendor but, most of the items are way, way overpriced! We still like to stop and look around every so often to see if anything new has popped up. Prices at Hidden Treasures antique mall in Loves Park, and the GINORMOUS Angelas Attic in South Beloit are much more realistic on most items! We never fail to find, and purchase, multiple items at each of those 2 stores, with very reasonable prices on not ALL, but about 80% of the vendor booths items are priced to sell. As for the people feeling like they are being followed and feeling like criminals, dont take it personal! I totally understand that is annoying but, at the same time, if I rented a booth there, I would want somebody looking out for my best interest. Unfortunately, we do not live in an honest world! Vendors pay good money to rent these spaces, and then to have somebody steal items, youd be upset at the owner for not guaranteeing security.
I do occassionally go to this mall and do find an item or two. The prices can vary from good to pricey. As a dealer myself (not in the area), it is just a normal antique mall, with thrift store junkies mixed with real dealers and making-up (high) prices versus doing some easy homework and pricing accordingly. What I do not really like is the consistency of being followed and scrutinized. Yes, I do know what it is like to have items stolen (I do have a horror story of a mall where I was where workers were stealing quite a bit from me!), and when I have workers 10 feet from me watching every move... well, you can imagine. You want that, go to the Oakton Street one in Illinois! This one is nowhere near that and several workers will ask if you want help. Hence, the one star docked.
Treated like criminals. Followed like we were wanted by the law. My wife and I have spent 100s of dollars here...never again. Do not buy or support these nasty people. Sad to not be going back as I use to hang out there as a kid when it first opened and my grandfather had booths at both locations. Treat people Better!
Great place to go and Hunt down your hidden treasures !!
If you like antiques, youve got to visit this place. They have everything, and the prices are reasonable. They are so helpful!
They are open! And the East State Antique Mall has something for everyone!Over 120 dealers have set up shop here, specializing in quality, reasonably-priced antiques, vintage, retro & collectibles. See something you like? The staff are always walking around, eager to help - and will even deliver large pieces to your vehicle! A layaway program is also available. It can be a little hard to find: Located at 5411 East State Street, in the back of the building. Look for the large yellow ANTIQUES sign from the street.
Love roaming through here. Such a variety, clean and clearly priced.
Lots of stuff. Well displayed. Friendly and helpful staff. Worth a visit
The husband and I love this place. Theres so much to look through and its well-lit, clean, and most is decently priced with lots of booths doing sales.
Enjoy looking at vintage stuff reminds me of my Parents and Great Aunts and Uncles & Priceless Memories 🙏💞😊
Ok place. Mostly consignment stuff so its very hard to negotiate a price. Some if the dealers believe that if its old it should cost more. Lots of small collectables.
Really cool place with a variety of stuff to see
Wonderful antique mall! Clean and well organized! Great stuff!
Great Place Great people. Dont underestand the Complaining. I have been places where ya Get followed and Tormented by staff NOT HERE
I went here many years ago and they had nice priced antiques, now the antiques are pricey and not a lot of selection.
We found the place easily enough, once we knew it was there. It was clean and well kept, certainly offered lots of variety, the workers were friendly and helpful, and we certainly enjoyed our couple of hours poking in the corners there!
Jam packed fun of fun and random things old and not so old. Also a great crystal, rock, and fossil shop here.
Huge selection
They have many things. A lot of the stuff is overpriced
Way over priced. One of their workers followed me everywhere I went like i was going to steal something. Place had a dead smell about it.
A nice, out of the way, place to shop. One of Rockfords hidden gems.
Not open no signs up garage doors I think they are out of business.
Huge and FUN. Spent way too much. Will be back for more.
Enjoyed this shop...one surprise after another. Very neat and orderly, very clean!
Love this place its nice and organized and clean theyre very helpful. The owners very nice
Responded to a Craigslist ad they put up for a table and chairs at a good price.I emailed them a few days later (Friday) to ask if the item was still there, they confirmed it was, and confirmed the price. So i drove there, over 1 hour on Sunday and found a different price on the item (twice as much). They refused to honor the advertized price.Beware.
DISHEARTENING experience. There is something truly special about being able to step back in time and find a treaure that you can connect with. Whether that be a piece of quality work that came from the sweat of the brow, or a craft in which you can feel the pride and love that was essential to its originality and beauty. In all my years of supporting the little guy, such as flea markets, ma and pa shops or farmmers markets, the experience has always very much been about connections with the people as well. Connections with people that share, understand and appreciate the simple and good life. Sadly, the people at the antique mall were awful....and not in the original sense of the word to embrace inspiring wonder or to be full of awe, but in a sense that encapsulates ugliness and bigotry. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU for how you treated my family and I today.
Always a must-stop when in Rockford. Huge variety of dealers with a great selection of antiques, collectables and kitsch.
Agree on everything what Angel Diangello said about the owner. I used to visit there often, not any more due to the owners rude attitude. She would make you feel that you owe her something instead you bring business to her.
The prices are good but They Follow You around everywhere.
Great place a lot of items. Very clean and well organized.
Full of amazing finds, clean, neat and we found a great book.
Fun way to kill a couple hours on a rainy day. Some vendors seem overpriced, but there are plenty of reasonably priced treasures to be found. Also have an outdoor flea market several times during the summer.
Great Variety of items..Ranging from the 30s to the 70s..Prices are reasonable and the staff are extra friendly and knowledgeable..
One of my favorites. I love the owner!
Very cool spot. Lots of stuff something for everyone.
Very nicely layed out and clean. This is the place to go for antiques in Rockford!
These venders work hard sp we van find it all under 1 roog
Terrific store but today they were locked up 20 minutes before 7pm and said I couldnt come in. If they want to make sure everyone is out and gone at 7pm, they should change their posted hours.
