Kris is the absolute best guitar tech I’ve ever talked to and had work on one of my guitars. I own a cheap squier strat that I’ve been slowly upgrading and he helped me out by switching my stock bridge pickup for a seymour duncan Duckbucker. He works very quickly and does his work for a fair price. I can’t recommend him enough.

I had a wonderful experience with Kris. He gave my telecaster a complete upgrade and went above and beyond. You can see he takes great pride in his work.

Stopped in thinking a used guitar I bought needed to be setup, he took a look and saw that when I changed strings I didnt fully set the bridge. He popped it back in and recommended if I liked the way it played that it was already good. No cost! Great service, definitely will be back!

I needed a quick restringing of my guitar and Kris/KROBIN was open and let me come in without an appointment and completed it quickly/ immediately while I waited. Guitar sounds great. Dont expect a guitar store. I would describe the place more like a workshop, and from the looks of it a lot of people bring their instruments to him. Super convenient today!

My first experience with Kris was everything I could have hoped for. Leaving my guitar and upgrade parts was a leap of faith, as I had only these reviews to place my trust in. Did not know him or anyone who could vouch for his work. Anyway, Kris installed two pickups and a tone pot harness in my semi-hollow guitar. He did a flawless job, at a very fair price, and had it ready within the projected time frame. I will not hesitate to go back to Kris in the future.

Kris is the man, I brought all my guitars in and had him go over them, fix a couple things, set them up, and string them. They have never played or sounded better. You cant go wrong having him work on your instrument.

I go to Kris for everything from setups, to pickup changes, to changing out electronics, for every single one of my guitars. We are lucky to have a number of great luthiers in Rochester, but I refuse to go anywhere else because of his attention to detail, his knowledge and the ease of doing business. Kris is just an all around good human being and tremendously talented. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

Did a great job on a setup for an acoustic and problem assessment on my acoustic electric. Got my heavily used guitar sounding brand new. I brought my guitars home after picking them up and noticed a strap was missing from one of them and Kris was willing to provide compensation.

Knowledgeable, friendly and affordable. Came here when the nut fell off my bass as I was changing strings. He did a quick repair and re-string while i was waiting for the replacement part to come from the manufacturer, and then installed the new nut once i received it. I will definitely be going back here for guitar work.

Brought my bass in with a unusual problem, Kris found the issue right away. He gave me several options for the repair. I got my bass back really quickly and it works great. The thing plays beautiful now. I would highly recommend this place.

Bought a used guitar that I wanted checked out for any hidden issues. They looked over the guitar thoroughly and recommended a setup- nothing more. I was impressed with their honest, no bs review. The setup really made the instrument sparkle as well. I will use them again.

Pretty good! It took almost a week for a bridge and neck adjustment but the guitar is playing nicely now. Recommend it.

Kris took my two favorite guitars, and in a very short period of time, and at a very reasonable rate, turned them into the two best guitars Ive ever played. Unless you personally are a luthier, I would suggest taking your instruments to him. He does great work.

I tried Kriss shop because its a block from my house. Ive now brought pretty much every instrument I own to him, though, because he does simply amazing work, fast and reasonably. Every time I go, there is some serious local pro there, so the word is clearly out. Hes the best, and a super great guy to boot.

Kris is a wizard -- a luthier & technician of a caliber rarely experienced around Upstate NY. I brought him three (expensive) bass guitars in various states of disrepair, and he didnt just fix them; he IMPROVED them... in less time than I ever expected.Wiring issues: no problem. Fret dressings: no problem. Jack replacement: no problem. Nut replacement: no problem. New nut built from scratch for a fanned fret bass: NO PROBLEM. And the three different set-ups for each instrument were exactly as Id asked for.He is worth his weight in gold, and yet his prices are reasonable. Totally impressed.
