This place is always so pleasant to go to. My husband and I wanted some unique 2 player games and left with a dozen games! It was so much fun. The employee was super helpful and directed us to games we had missed. Awesome experience! We have been to MANY board game stores and this one has a decent selection with unbeatable service! Plus they have game nights every night. If we are ever in town at night we will have to take advantage of that too! Highly recommend!

Tonight was my first time going to this store and it was an awesome experience. The staff are very knowledgeable and they have a wide selection of rpgs and board games. If they dont have something youre looking for, they are more than happy to look into ordering it in for you. They have a wonderfully huge gaming area and a kitchen stocked with stuff to eat and drink. We come down to Rochester for a few days about every 2 to 3 months for appointments at Mayo, this will become a mandatory stop every time we come down from now on.

Was in the area for the day and saw they had a lot of Games Workshop items displayed on their website. Got there and they had half a small rack with items over MSRP. Other than this the store offers a lot of MTG items, a variety of board games, and RPGs. It was nice to see a lot of play space.

Great shop for most things DnD

I came in wanting some pretty obscure magic cards like: blazing archon, Selesnya Sanctuary and other dual mana of that time... dude didnt even blink and i could tell how obscure they are by the slight sigh i heard knowing it was probably under several stacks of boxes but he came back like 3 minutes later with some battle scars holding the cards like link opening a chest in zelda i was super happy and impressed knowing the cards only profited him maybe 50 cents

Im from out of town but always have to check out the local stores. Nice place with a solid selection of games, and the play area looks great. We were greeted and talked to.. wish I was here for a game night!

To preface, we are not hardcore board gamers (yet). The staff was very friendly. They gave great advice about games and let us play test a game before buying. Great local game store where they really care about making a great experience. I definitely recommend to even the casual board game fan.

In general this is an absolutely amazing place to play games with friends and strangers. The atmosphere is very focused on enjoying the experience of gaming and everyone you meet there os generally friendly.They just opened up their kitchen after serving primarily pizza as a main course and it seems to be a big hit. My only complaint is that this seems to have caused the no outside food or drink rule to be taken to new extremes where water bottles are being asked to remain outside. I understand the potential concerns, but reusable water bottles should not fall into a lose it or leave category. Im all for D6 being a profitable venture for the owners and I definitely want to see the amazing community maintained, but I think cracking down this hard might be a little overboard.

Wow, what an amazing place! So many great things, where to start. Clean! One of the most organized shops i have been in, lots of room, something for everyone of every age! Owner was extremely engaging and you can told he loves what he is doing! Will go back even though i live 2hrs 30min away

Not only is D6 Games the perfect place to hang out and play any type of table top, it is located in a great location for food, entertainment with plenty of parking space.I’ve lived in Rochester for 20 years and as a gamer I’ve been to numerous gaming places/hobby stores around the area and I’ve seen just as many disappear. From my experience, I believe D6 games will be around for a very long time. Why? They are relentless within their focus on professional and positive customer service. I didn’t know what to expect as a new individual walking through the door of their family owned/run store for the first time. I instantly realized they take pride and passion in making everyone feel like one of the family. They give experienced advice on the games they sell and even help players learn new ones. I’ve even seen them introduce people to others whom share the same passion and encourage new friendships.Most of all, they remind everyone that they are here for people who share a passion in a wide variety of gaming, and even helped me test play my own idea for a game.I hope they continue to flourish as they play a pivotal role for Rochester’s gaming community.

Im not into any of the card trading games but it appears to be great doe that. I went in to try out some board games they have available to demo. There was a table we could use to play many demo games. Free popcorn available too. They had several popular games to buy but not a lot of selection. Recommend for any family that loves board games to go in and check it out.

D6 has a great selection of board games, deck-building games, role-playing games, and accessories. There are also many tables and a strong community of gaming regulars. New players are welcome and encouraged. Friendly staff.

The store is very spacious with plenty of tables and comfortable chairs. They offer most any game you can concieve and are working currently on getting official events organized. The owners are friendly and welcoming, willing to help anyone and offer all advice and helpful opinions. Above all else, they share a love for gaming and the various communities that are built upon those games. This is a great place with offerings in Magic: the gathering, STAR WARS X-wing, and D&D. It sounds like they will soon have even more variety soon, and as long as there is space, theyll welcome your games. Ask about Guild Ball while your there, I know I intend to learn more.

From the first time I set foot in D6 the staff has been welcoming and genuine.They seek to build a community, making sure that customers have experiences, not just purchases.Lots of space to play in and a bunch of donated and sample games to play.

Very understanding and willing to work with anyone. Being that I wear hearing aids they are willing to accommodate my needs to be able to participate in gaming every week without question. Amazing with kids and willing to teach anyone who walks into the store.

I went in there looking for some miniature painting supplies and they gave my kids magic cards and Pokémon cards for free! I really like this place and always go there for my hobbyist needs.

This is a fantastic business specializing in board games and role playing game supplies. They also provide open play times where people can drop in to find opponents for their favorite games.I play DnD during a Wednesday night open play time that attracts several tables of role playing enthusiasts. There is food available for purchase -- pizza by the slice, drinks, candy, chips -- free popcorn, and outside food can be brought in.The staff is very friendly and helpful. D6 Games is a welcome addition to Rochester.

Love it, great staff, they know exactly how to run a place like this, and theyre all super friendly. I always go on Wednesday and Sunday nights to play d&d and it is honestly the highlight of my week. Im so happy that theres a place in town where a bunch of people can get together and put their differences aside and just have a good time playing board games and the like. I would never have gotten into d&d if this place wasnt in town, and now its become such a big part of my life. Sometimes the tables can be a little crowded and it can get a little loud see sometimes making it hard to hear the dm, but those are both great problems to have, it mb means that plenty of people are showing up and having a good time. Hosting the 12 hour d&d sessions was a great idea too, even if theyre all one shot campaigns theyre always a blast.

D6 is the best card shop in town! When I came to Rochester, no shops wanted to do YuGiOh due to bias towards Magic, but D6 was willing to take a chance.We now regularly have 15-30 person Yu-Gi-Oh locals each week.

Wonderful local game store. Recently opened but theyve got a good stock of a variety of card and board games, miniatures, paints, etc. They also offer regular events for MTG, Pokemon TCG, various table top gaming, and the healthiest DnD scene Ive ever seen or been apart of. Their stock of singles is pretty lacking though, so if your looking to flip through binders and cases of cards, you probably wont find much here. But being a new store, that is likely to improve over time.

Lots of rare board games, tons of space, good place for meeting people.

Ive gone there multiple times looking for starter kits for things like DnD and CCGs for my son. Every time, without fail, I get I just sold my last one, but we will have more next week! Maybe this alleged next week will happen eventually and theyll get their stock issues sorted out, but Im not going to know about it because I gave up and bought everything online or in the cities for significantly less money.

The gentleman here are outstanding. Theyre very knowledgeable about their games, are always willing to demo a game, and have their finger on the pulse of the Rochester gaming scene.

The staff is friendly and helpful. If they dont have something in stock, theyll happily special order. If you want to learn how to play a game, they have a bunch of demos you can try and will even sit and play with you. The tables are available for anyone to use for free.

I went in looking for an out of print role-playing book. The employees asked me what I was looking for and when I told them they started laughing at me. Telling me it was out of print and why would they have that. My response was youre a store specializing in role-playing I figured you might have back copies of popular books. Do not plan on ever going back.
