A car shopping hunt began and ended with the one place I knew we had to check. Now the 5th Mazda Ive owned, and theres so many reasons for it. For the love of the drive & to have a comfortable low pressure sales experience = always Mazda.Update, as well as a good reminder there are decent companies out there: The car had a minor issue after purchase, but we were not surprised with sneaky fees. They simply corrected the problem for free and got us back on the road.

Went to Rochester Mazda with my girlfriend to get her a new car on June 30th. She ended up buying a CPO Mazda3 from them. The buying experience was honestly pretty great and very laid back.We noticed a small cosmetic issue short after purchase that needed to be addressed. There was some minor miscommunication, but they have since reached out to me and the issue has been resolved. They were very professional and quick and Im very satisfied with the way everything was handled.We are very happy with the vehicle and will definitely be looking to Rochester Mazda for any future purchases.

Our salesperson Irene was well-informed about all the features of the Mazda CX-5, and she did an excellent job of familiarizing us with the vehicle before we took a test drive. As we prepared to do paperwork, there were NO hard-sell tactics, which we, as customers, very much appreciated. In fact, through the years with two other dealerships, we have literally walked out the door, and have not gone back, when a salesperson applied the pressure to buy. That did not happen at Rochester Mazda…in fact, the sales manager and also the regional manager (who just happened to be visiting the dealership when we were there) both greeted us personably and spent considerable time visiting with us. When we picked up the vehicle, Irene pointed out additional features, synced our I-phones with the SUV, and invited us to return if we had any questions or concerns. Was looking for a new used vehicle and came across a vehicle they had via cars.com. I submitted the form asking if it was still available and received a response within minutes. Orion asked if there were any questions he could answer and offered to send a video of anything I wanted to see, since I am about 90 minutes away from them. I sent a couple areas and received a video promptly. Orion then asked if there was anything else at this time and to call or text if there was anything else. I decided to visit and test drive. There was zero pressure... He gave me a great suggestion for a route to test drive. After getting back to the dealership he asked how it went and if I had any questions. After deciding to purchase it, I met with the finance guy (Schyler, I believe) who offered to beat the financing I already had in place. They were able to beat it! I had to come back 10 days later to pick it up (due to not having another driver with me to get two vehicles homes) and so they kept it in the back.I received a service text the following day and they were addressing and issue that I had discovered while driving. Orion then also called to let me know if was fixed even though I had a couple texts and email letting me know what was done. (Needless to say, very impressed with the service follow up).When I showed up to pickup the vehicle, I was wanting to stop in before they opened due to my schedule. Orion was more then glad to have it ready. He made sure it was fueled and warmed up for me. He also crawled under the dash to get a code for access (he already did those once, and I sadly misplaced it after the initial visit.) He asked if there was anything I wanted to have demoed or explained before I left the dealership.Bottom line - I was VERY impressed with the dealership, service, and both contacts I had with them. Orion was awesome! I will definitely check with them the next time were in the market for a vehicle.FYI - their website commented about practicing the FISH method and I would say they have it down! This was my first time buying a car and I was treated VERY good here. Buying a car is a difficult decision and it can be stressful. Rochester Mazda did not make the car buying process stressful, they made it FUN. I was not pressured into anything and the car was already priced very fairly, so there was no need to negotiate the price. I was between buying a Honda and a Mazda. I was very impressed how the salesman did not talk badly about the Honda, but instead, highlighted the differences between the cars that were important. That speaks volumes that the sales consultants at this dealership want to find you the perfect car that you will enjoy and not pressuring you to buy a car because they need to meet their quota or earn commission. (They do not operate on commission at this dealership). The Manager, Finance Manager, and Sales Consultant were all very laid back, friendly, and professional. I walked out of Rochester Mazda with a beautiful car, an extended warranty, and completely satisfied. If you have the chance to work with Orion, you will be in good hands! Good job Rochester Mazda!

With any dealership its worth calling around and checking vehicle prices. One dealership will quote one price and another dealership will quote something different. Take your time when youre spending this kind of money and get quotes from several places to find the best deal for you. Some salesmen are definitely better than others so pick somebody that youre comfortable with and isnt pushing you into a purchase.

As a prior owner of a Mazda, I have always been impressed by Rochester’s Mazda dealership and it’s employees. Upon my most recent purchase of a 2017 CX-5 GT they did it again. Their sales rep. Johnny M is very charismatic and did a fantastic job tailoring my experience and guiding me along the way. His high-level of consideration helped fine-tune any concerns I may have had. Awesome experience start to finish - found a car I wanted by shopping online so I expressed interest through their website. Josie reached out and was communicative and responsive by text, never pushed me into a test drive. Met the salesman, Johnny, at the dealership who had the car running and ready to go for us. He was engaging, helpful, attentive and hospitable through the buying process - easy guy to get ahold of and a fun guy to talk to.He was diligent in showing me all the safety and entertainment features of the car but never pushed me into anything - I think he knows the cars sell themselves - but he had a quick answer for every question I had, clearly has great knowledge on the product, and not once did I get any slimy salesman vibes from him or the finance guy I worked with. Very clear and straightforward expectations set with respect to finance and warranty information.I guess my expectations, having never bought from a dealer, were that I would be confronted with pushy salesman, inflexible finance officers and Id ultimately either leave with a bad vibe or spend all day hammering out details at the dealership. Everything, from the cleanliness of the showroom to the out-in-the-open space where we conducted most of the business, was friendly, comfortable, fast and efficient.You can talk to Johnny like an old buddy and I honestly dont think he cares how big his checks are - he wants to see you leave in a fun car. Dude was top notch. He treated the process of buying and selling cars in a comfortable and casual way, almost like this was more of a hobby than a job, right up until I had questions and at that point he was nothing but knowledgeable and professional and hed double check with you to make sure you were satisfied with his answers and didnt have any other lingering doubts.Im pretty much allergic to gross salespeople and all of the yes please tactics that can sometimes creep into these environments, and the buying experience here was so good that it moved me to do this review. Truthfully we just didnt think the crossover vehicles would have the room that they do and the CX-5 looks sportier than most other crossovers. We settled on a sweet CX-5 that we really-really like. The AWD will be ccx especially handy for us on our steep driveway this winter. Rochester Mazda and Jack really made the purchase seemless and easy. I would recommend giving Jack at Rochester Mazda a call to see what he can do for you on your car search.
