Sheri was so great to work with! She made me feel comfortable right away and was eager to help find my wedding dress on a short timeline! I walked out with my dress (somehow perfectly fitted just needs a hem!) and they gave me the next steps in getting it altered. I felt taken care of too as the owner and seamstress came up to discuss the dress and put the finishing touches together. The bridal area is secluded but open and intimate with plenty of space and mirrors, loved it. Plus the groomsmen attire, flower girl dresses, mothers dresses etc. are right below so we looked through fabric, colors and ideas afterwards and the ladies were so kind and attentive in helping talk through all the details. Professional. Easy. Highly recommend!

I just got my wedding dress today and I loved the entire experience, it was a dream! My consultant Alysha was so amazing and I truly feel I would not have had the experience I had without her. This place was recommended to me by a friend and I am so thankful that I decided to try it. It was the first place that I had gone to try on wedding dresses. Immediately the staff was very friendly and welcoming. There was a huge selection of beautiful gowns in all styles! My consultant listened to what I was thinking, showed me all the dresses and had me choose ones that I wanted to try, and then listened to how I felt wearing them and pulled more that she thought I would like. She chose some that I wouldve never picked for myself and ended up loving! Due to Covid-19 I had to get the dress on by myself in the dressing room, but she would help zip it and clip it so that it would fit better. The staff was also very knowledgeable and only pulled dresses that were in my budget, and only pulled dresses that I would be able to order in time for my wedding. I found one that I thought might be the one but they never made me feel pressured into buying it. They talked to me about how I felt in it, what I liked, etc. I had another appointment that day, they encouraged me to go, and told me that they would be available later in the day if I wanted to come back. When I did come back that day, they pulled another dress for me to try at my request and the one that I was really liking earlier in the day and they let me try them both on, and also dressed me up with a veil and head piece so I could see the full effect. I ended up finding my dress, veil, and head piece. They also let us browse the bridesmaids dresses, let my maid of honor try on a few. They let my mother look at the mother of the brides dresses. And we also looked at the options for the tux rentals and color options. Everyone was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind! They answered any and all questions! I highly recommend this place!

I was so nervous about buying my dress, but my consultant Cynthia was able to calm my nerves and help me find the perfect dress! We got my bridesmaids dresses on the same day and everything was smooth, fast, and efficient. They didn’t have the exact dresses I wanted on hand but they had similar silhouettes and we were still able to order the specific dresses and cuts I wanted. Cynthia went above and beyond for us and was such a great calming presence to be around. Can’t wait to go back for all of our fittings!

Worst experience I ever had trying on wedding dresses. I was literally told I was fat during my appointment by my consultant, way too big to wear a mermaid style dress. For reference, I am a size 4-6. The manager yelled at me that I had no idea what I wanted. I left the appointment crying. I hope to never return to Mestads in Rochester ever again. I made an appointment at Davids Bridal in Rochester the following weekend and it was night and day. I told them about my terrible experience at Mestads, and they said they had heard that from a lot of brides lately, so Im definitely not the only one with an awful experience. I found my perfect dress, and was NEVER told I was too fat. Save yourself the time and heartbreak and book an appointment with Davids Bridal in Rochester instead!

Mestads is my go-to formal wear in Rochester! I love supporting a locally owned boutique!My experience finding my Wedding Dress was very special and the selection was impressive! Their new bridal loft makes for an intimate appointment. We rented our tuxes for the guys and they give a nice discount for a group. In addition to my wedding, I’ve ordered 2 Bridesmaid dresses that arrived quickly and exactly the right size. I can’t say enough good things about Mestads! This was the first and only bridal shop I went to while wedding dress shopping. Holly was extremely helpful, brought me a great variety of dresses and knew where to go next working off each dress I tried on. The whole experience was wonderful. We also got our bridesmaid dresses here (ordered from China in the middle of coronavirus) and they were so helpful in coordinating their arrival and overnighting them to all my bridesmaids all over the country. 1000% recommend.

Amazing experience. My wedding day was 17 days away and I hadnt looked at any dresses or suits for my son or fiance. We went in without an appointment and they help us right away. Less than 5 minutes we had someone measuring my son and husband. After that he told me about good deals on wedding dresses. I found the perfect dress for me at great price and got my boys suits.! I had gotten both my prom dresses here many years back so naturally this was my first stop for wedding gowns.We got there and there wasn’t much to chose from. While we were looking we were told ‘well we can’t order anything because Of Covid and because all our dress are from China.’ Really!? Not one American made dress!? So basically I can only chose from what I have in front of me which wasn’t a lot. Also not everyone plans a wedding a year in advance but ‘there’s not enough time to order and alter’. I get it, the world is changed and different but that made the appointment less than fun. Also it’s a good thing I brought my mother with because they thrown the gowns in a room and say good luck, no help at all. The last straw was when I was trying to get into a dress and the owner barged into my dressing room wanting to know where I was going for my next appointment. Nosy much? So disappointed, I wanted to suppose local.

I found my prom dress at Mestads and I cannot explain how nice and helpful the owners and staff were. Looking for a prom/wedding dress is a big deal and they made me feel very special. Their store itself is modern and clean and the other bridal/prom boutiques in the area can not compare. So impressed!

Not a fan!! They are rude!! The first experience was wonderful. My daughter is getting married and I purchased her dress and 6 bridesmaids ordered theirs. The dark haired sales lady was amazing {shes no longer there.} I went in again to look for a dress for myself. A tall blonde asked me if I wanted to try on the dress I was looking at. Im a size 10, the dress was a 4. When I said it would never fit me, she walked away without a word and never came back. Yesterday I stopped in to pick up my daughters dress. I told the guy behind the desk that I wanted to shop for another dress and would be back up there when I was done to get her dress. As I was looking at a couple of dresses I heard a raised voice say hey you! When I turned around I saw he was talking to me! He wanted me to sign and take the dress right then and there. Evidently they didnt want me to spend any more money there, and I wont!!!!

I had a wonderful experience shopping for my prom dress at Mestads! My consultant was so helpful and sweet, and I found my perfect dress. We had to order the dress in my size and about a week later everything shut down due to COVID. When we learned my prom was rezcheduled we were immediately in contact with Mestads. They were very flexible with scheduling me an appointment to get a new dress in case my first pick didn’t come on time. However, before my appointment, the store owner pulled a few strings with the designer and got my dress! When I went to pick it up and try it on, the consultants were very helpful with figuring out what needed to be altered. I am so grateful for my experience at Mestads and I will definitely be coming back next year!

It was an amazing experience! When I first walked in, I was welcomed by a friendly staff member. My consultant Sydney was so great at listening to what I was looking for and pulling gowns that fit my description. She even pulled a gown that I would not have pulled myself, and it was the dress I ended up getting! She was fun, funny, and so sweet. Very easy to talk to, I felt comfortable talking with her about any concerns or questions I had. She also helped me calculate prices for different options and discounts. I did go to another bridal shop in town, and immediately after my appointment there I drove back over to Mestads and they were able to get me in so I could try on my favorite dress again. Even though I was a customer that needed a lot of attention, they all helped me make a decision. Sydney and the rest of the team made my dream dress a reality for me. I bought my wedding dress at Mestads yesterday and it was a five star experience. Alysha was my consultant and she could not have been more patient and helpful. She observed my likes and dislikes carefully as I tried on dresses and was able to discern from that the absolute perfect dress. I knew from the moment I put it on was the one for me. She also looked closely at a dress I liked from a different store to understand what I liked about that dress to find something similar. It was a strapless dress that she paired with a shoulder piece that topped it off perfectly. I had a large group of friends and family with me that she was very gracious and patient with as well. Although the dress was more expensive than the one from the other store, they offered me a discount even though it wasnt technically on sale. Great dress, great experience. Mestads came through for me after I was put in a horrible situation by Posh Bridal Couture in Wayzata. Posh never delivered my dress that I ordered in December. So in September, the month before my wedding, I visited Mestads for a plan B. Right when I walked in, I felt immediately taken care of. They had heard of many other Posh brides in my situation and were so determined to help. They were so accommodating and found me a dress I like better than my original one! Thank you so much for your amazing customer service! I get to wear something I love on my wedding day, despite the horrible story of my original dress!

After a disappointing trip to Davids Bridal (what can you expect?) I was wowed at the level of service at Mestads. Everyone who worked there was so friendly, and our consultant was so helpful. We were allowed to look around at the dresses and pull ones that we liked, or we could have had her help in pulling dresses. Their selection was amazing. Each dress I tried on was beautiful in its own way. The dresses were arranged by style, which made shopping a lot easier. They just happened to be having a 20% off of trunk show gowns that day, and I found my dress. I was never pressured to purchase. I also did not feel rushed. The private room we were given to try the dresses on was so nice. We were able to dim the lights to see how the dress would look at night during the reception. They offer 15% off if you buy your dress the first day you make an appointment. I highly recommend Mestads.

I have been to Mestads twice with my children. My daughter needed a formal to wear to a vet ball in Scotland. She had only a couple of days before flying back. The owner and his wife were welcoming from the time we walked in. She asked what my daughter was looking for and her price range. She brought several dresses to choose from. The one my daughter chose needed alterations, which they did within 24 hours. The dress was beautiful and the whole experience was wonderful.My son and his friend went to get their tuxes at Mestads for prom. The price and selection were great. The girl helped them pick out everything. They did a great job with fitting them and helping them out. We will definitely continue to shop there for our formals.

Mestads has amazing service and I cannot sing their praises enough. From the minute we walked in they made everything personal and comfortable. Barbie was my consultant and went above and beyond for me. Didnt make me feel rushed, just made the whole experience relaxing. She was a friend by the end of the appointment. I got a personal call every step of the way from Barbie or one of the other friendly and amazing people at Mestads. The fitting and alterations were stunning they were there the whole time to give advice and calm my nerves. Grace a seasoned pro was there to remind me of things to do that I would never have thought of. We also went through Mestads for the tux rental. ZERO is my review. Terrible Customer Service. Here is my daughter’s story- There are a few things that you want to take your time to purchase: a car, house, and of course the wedding dress that you will wear on your big day. Being from Rochester we wanted to shop locally. My wife and daughter set up an appointment to try on dresses. When they went the bridal consultant did not consider her budget but rather only pulled dresses from the Trunk Show that was going on. My daughter found one that she liked but it was far out of her price range. My daughter and wife wanted me to go back another day to give them my thoughts- it is very exciting for a father of the bride to view their daughter for the first time in a wedding dress. The dress was beautiful, but again it was out of her price range. At that appointment she tried on a couple other dresses that were in her price range but none of them were what she was looking for. As the end of that appointment came to an end we were told if we wanted to come back a third time (to try other dresses or show her sister,etc.) we would need to purchase a dress, and if we didn’t, we would not be able to try on or purchase a dress from them. Needless to say we were not going to shop for a significant purchase and be told we Only have three chances to find her dress. We took our business elsewhere and my daughter found a stunning dress in the cities at a bridal store that provided outstanding customer service. They respected her budget and made her experience very fun and memorable- and not once did they mention a cap on the number of viewings she was allowed. Onto today, she thought she would give Mestads another chance in regard to her bridesmaid dresses. She found one she liked while browsing with her maid of honor. She went back another evening to show one of her in town bridesmaids. Today she had an appointment scheduled so that two of her out of town bridesmaids could actually try the dress on. At her appointment today, she was told if they did not get sized and order the dress that they would not be allowed to order from them since this was the “third time she has viewed the dress” (when this was the first time she had actually made an appointment). She is taking her business elsewhere to a bridesmaid store in the cities that was very accommodating and went above and beyond to order a dress in the color she wanted, so that she could see it in person and have her bridesmaids try it on- when Mestad’s also told her this was not possible.Long story short- if you are thinking of using them make sure you are aware of the “three strike rule” and better yet.. DONT go there as you and your experience are not important. They only care about your money.

Had a horrible experience elsewhere and made the drive down from Minneapolis to Rochester. Same day appointment. I couldn’t say enough good things about my experience. So good? That I bought my dress within an hour. Emily my consultant took the time to listen, agree/disagree without opinion, and respect what I wanted in my head while also showing me things outside of the box.. which ultimately landed me in a dress so different from what I thought, that I absolutely love! I would recommend this bridal shop to all - especially working with Emily. Thank you!

Very disappointed. My daughter and I went to pick up her dress last Friday and it was way to small in the chest. Like 5 inches. I told them they measured wrong and they told her that she is the one that had gained the weight. They basically told us to take the dress and pushed us out the door. Said they could put a panel with ties on it but she got this specific dress because of the designer and because it had a zipper in the back. We now have to spend more money to hopefully try to fix it. The wedding is in 4 weeks so we dont have time to get a different size. I feel they should have at least offered some refund off the dress. Will never shop there again. What was supposed to be a joyful time in finally getting her dress I had to watch my daughter burst into tears.

They dont even deserve 1 star....DO NOT GO HERE. Was open and honest from the beginning that I had seen a dress at a different shop earlier that I loved. She claimed she appreciated the honesty. She helped me find a dress I saw online I wanted to try and I was considering, proceeded to ask me why I was there if I already had a dress in front of my entire group. So embarassing. Next my mother overheard them talking about me wasting their time behind my back as I was in the dressing room. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I would never reccomend this place to anyone...horrible experience.

The customer service was good. I felt like the selections werent necessarily there. I think that Jo as a consultant did a great job!

2 of my bridesmaids and myself drove over an hour in a snowstorm to try on wedding dresses. We were 30 to 40 minutes late, but they totally understood and were still very accommodating. The associates are very nice and very helpful. I was able to find the perfect dress and Im very thankful how they let me take my time and relish in the moment! They might be out of the way but it is quite worth it! I also love how they have specific lighting in the dressing rooms that mimic the dramatic lighting of the reception so you can really see how everything would actually look!!!! 😍The whole experience from the first try on to picking up my dress was AMAZING! They treated me like a friend, a star, a VIP! I can not praise them enough!! Thanks Barbie!!!

Minimal selection, I was in here about a week ago, and even tho I was just looking around at bridesmaid dress, not once did one of the employees greet me or see if I needed help. There was absolutely NO customer service. Couldnt even window shop bridal gowns. This was the first that I had been here since they remodeled. I feel if someone had greeted me at the very bare minimum then I wouldve felt comfortable asking a question, not like I was interrupting their day.

My experience at Mestads was wonderful. I enjoyed it from the moment I walked in the door to the second I left. My consultant, Dorothy, was just the greatest woman. She did not make me feel pressured to make a decision or purchase. Mestads has a great selection of dresses with a clean and classy environment. I absolutely loved it. If you decide to go ask for Dorothy!

I honestly have not been more disappointed in a store in my life! My daughter had her senior prom was so excited because we had ordered her dress at the end of February and hoped that everything would be perfect! the dress was due to come in towards the middle of march it finally arrived the week before prom ( NOT GOOD) when we went to try it on and bring it home!! it did not fit she could not get it zipped remembering that the prom manager telling me that she was going to order a smaller size as she was only an inch over on all three sides should have been my first flag I blame myself for not insisting that it be ordered bigger but I thought she knew what she was doing. the prom manager being a very small girl kept telling my daughter of whom has self conscious issues about her weight not to worry she has to wear spanks ETC too... after trying the spanks it still did not fit and the girl helping us says well you can always just pick another dress we have here!! ok first when you pick out a dress usually its because you want that dress second the first time we tried on dresses in that store there was only one dress that fit as you have to be Barbie sized to even come close to fitting into something there so picking another dress was not an option. she called in the seamstress they had there and the seamstress says I can not do anything sending my daughter into full blown tears! I was furious and demanded they do something so the owner came in which was very nice and gracious she calmed my daughter and reassured her that she would be nothing but stunning that day. Due to the jewels on the dress they had to cut both sides of the dress and make it tie up again I should have refused but again assumed that they knew what they were doing. we went to try it on the Thursday before prom and pick it up . it fit and although I really did not care for it my daughter appeared to be happy and it appeared to have worked so I said nothing ! little did I know that when you actually tighten it to make it wearable that is would gap and bunch due to the curves it has to lay on ! So disappointed my daughter was devastated and was not comfortable she removed the dress right after she walked in the grand march and hates the dress! Not to mention the dress cost an arm and a leg and they offered only free alterations a discount on the dress was never offered and it should have been ! I am truly disappointed in Mestads and will never return ! I am asked all the time for advice as to where to go to get dresses for peoples daughters and this is the place I am going to insist that others stay away from!!!!

Best experience! I drove from Minneapolis and it was well worth the drive. Great selection of dresses and great service. I knew my dress would take several months to get in and they were very helpful with any questions I had in the mean time. They DO know how to measure despite other reviews saying otherwise, Ive had no issues with my dress thus far (wedding in July 2015). I know a handful of people who purchased their wedding dresses here, all had a good experience which is why I had to check it out. The 1 complaint I would have is I wish they would have notified me that they no longer do alterations, however, in their defense, they were not aware I was planning on doing alterations there. Overall wonderful experience, I felt I was being listened to and was comfortable.

If I could give zero stars I would. Stay away from this place if possible. Extremely poor customer service especially from management. I was lied to so that they could sell a wedding dress. Told me when buying the dress that shipping would be included and the dress would take no more than 6 months to arrive. The dress took over 8 months to arrive. When I called they would never return my phone calls. They flat out denied saying it would take 6 months and basically said I was lying. Then they said they do not ship. When I asked to speak to management about this the sales person was extremely rude. They basically said too bad and offered to do nothing for me. Ladies when it comes to the most important dress in your life DO NOT TRUST MESTADS WITH YOUR BIG DAY!

I wanted to keep all purchases for my wedding as local as possible so I went to Mestads. I learned the hard way that no good deed goes unpunished. From the start the staff were not very helpful and only brought me dresses that were way outside my budget and werent anything close to what I wanted. I ended up finding a beautiful gown, but when it finally arrived it looked very different than the floor model, which are significantly used and potentially damaged according to the staff-- a detail that would have been nice to know before I ordered a dress.Getting the dresses in were another disaster. The staff said they would be in by a certain date and they never arrived. When I would call to ask if they were in, the staff would rudely ask why I was calling. This happened three times. When I would ask for specific staff members, they were consistently out to lunch or unavailable. I would be sent to voicemail and they wouldnt return my calls. I requested color swatches three times and still havent received any. The only positive experience we had was when I tried on and picked up my gown and that is because the owners were there.What should have been the most fun and exciting part of wedding planning quickly became the most frustrating and disappointing. Dont take a chance on getting a positive experience here; the odds are not in your favor.

I wish zero stars was an option. My friend scheduled her appointment from a bridal show and the visit was fine, not very fun or an inviting atmosphere to find the dress of her dreams and nothing really felt right, so we left empty handed - which was totally ok! But a couple weeks went by and she couldnt get this one dress out of her head so we went back when they had an opening and she still didnt feel comfortable to buy the dress and as we were leaving we were told that if we ever came back she HAD to purchase a dress there and we needed to stop WASTING THEIR TIME. I will never set foot in this store again!

Just had a WONDERFUL experience with Alysha. She is so passionate, professional and knowledgeable about her job and the many bridal party options available. She is so accommodating and very stylish. Highly pleased with my service and will be recommending to others!!! Thank you Alysha!!!

We have rented for here on two separate occasions. Both times the price has been great, the tux fits fantastic and there is always someone to help who has all the answers.Unless something changes this is our store of choice. Highly recommended.

Had the worst experience here getting my bridesmaids dress. I live out of state and sent in my dress measurements. I was finally able to go pick it up and it was a size 28! Im a size 20 or 22! I went to see what could be done because the dress would need to be heavily altered. They told me well this is your dress and not their problem. Did nothing to suggest how to fix this or even a sorry or any way to make things right. Dress is discontinued as well so ordering a new one isnt a option. I have to spend over $150 to get the dress altered now. Absolutely disgusted with how things went and the customer service. Please go somewhere else and save yourself the heartache and headaches.

Really wish they would allow no stars because this place is a joke. My future wife went in to purchase a dress by a certain designer and was told there was only 1 available in the size that was being produced. It was her dream dress so when she called and told me this is told her to go ahead and order it because I wanted everything to be perfect for her on our wedding day. Unfortunately the dress and headache of the staff who seem to know little to nothing about what the company and its policies have turned this into a nightmare. Her mother went with her so they could have the special bonding moment when she drove the 2 hours just to try on the dress and make sure it was the perfect one. Finally after almost 4 months we get a call saying the dress is in. I will never forget that day, she called me at work overjoyed because she was so ready to go try it on again. Her mother and her once again took the 2 hour drive to the store only to be handed a dress that looked like it had been rough housed into a box and thrown down a flight of stairs in the basement were it set for months. After she tried it on apparently her breast grew two cups sizes even though she is a grown woman and is not pregnant.....not really sure how that works? Then is told that they only do simple alterations and can not adjust it to where it fits after they were suppose to of measured her before hand. So what was suppose to be an extremely happy day for her turned into her mother having to attempt to try and find some where to get the dress fixed while consoling her only daughter. To top it off they were basically told it was her fault due to weight gain....which is not true because she has been stressing over it and making sure she doesnt gain any weight since she ordered her dress. When asked about them steam cleaning it they said they were not responsible for it. So now on top of spending 2000 for the dress we are having to pay an additional 500 for the steam cleaning and alterations. When I called the store about them steaming it and to try to speak to a manager about it I was I informed there was not one there. After asking the person on the phone about it I had to be transfered to multiple people. The last person I spoke to that could give me an answer said it was not their responsibility to make sure the dress was not completely crumpled up and that they only sold the dresses so we would have to pay the additional charges for it. Ladies please do not let this happen to you or your daughters because now it has become a stressful nightmare and we may have to get another dress because the wedding is coming up soon. Please take your hard earned money somewhere else where they will do whatever they can to treat you as a bride who is paying a ton of money on one of the most important days in her life should be.

I decided to come here for my bridesmaids dresses and was not disappointed!! Alysha (hope Im spelling that correctly) was sooooo extremely helpful and nice! She made the experience so much less overwhelming and was very knowledgeable when it came to the designers available. I went in with no clue what I was looking for. I had an idea on a couple of colors but besides that nothing. I had tried doing the bridely duty of pinteresting and googling before hand and still came up short as to what I was looking for. She made the stress go away as soon as we started chit chatting. She really helped me go in a direction that I was wanting but didnt quite know how to put in words, and that my friend, is talent. She really took key things that I was saying and pulled and guided us to dresses that best fit the aesthetic I was looking for. She was so helpful and was the sweetest when I was asking questions about fabrics and color options. Not once did she make me feel like I was being complicating or that I was just another bridezilla that had no idea what I wanted. She was so so so helpful and ultimately found exactly what I had envisioned in my head! Alysha, thank you so much for being so amazing to me and my family as we were picking out the dresses. Also, thank you to the rest of the staff that helped us with getting everything set up and ordered. I was not disappointed and had the best time and experience a bride or family could ask for! I will highly recommend Mestads to all of my friends and family, and even to younger people I talk to about prom because your prom selection is absolutely BREATH TAKING! Thank you again so much!

Emily was amazing from start to finish. I feel head over heels for a dress online that I couldnt try a sample on for anywhere closer than Kentucky. Luckily, Emily had just been to Sophia Tollis trunk show. So, she could reassure me as to how beautiful the dress was in real life and offered me the trunk show discount I finally got to see me dress for the first time in real like and its better than I ever imagined. Its beyond words Thank you, Emily and mestads!!!!

We found my daughters Quinceañera dress and ordered it with Cathy and when it came in it was everything we had hoped for and more! Just gorgeous! To this day we still get compliments on how beautiful her dress is! Thank you Mestads! 💕

Wow! What an awesome staff and bridal shop. I came in with not a lot to spend and they treated me like royalty. I came out with a gown I love. A must see for any budget needs. Something for everyone.

Everyone working here was extremely helpful and friendly. There was a situation with a dress that another bride was interested in as well, and they were extremely accommodating and made sure we both got exactly what we wanted for a great price.

The only reason Im giving this place 1 star is because I cant give it 0 stars. I will say that the new Rochester location looks great, is spacious, and has a lot of beautiful wedding dresses on display, but they were very overpriced and the customer service was terrible. I told my consultant that I was open to different styles and fabrics but I absolutely wanted beading and I absolutely did not want anything satin or anything Cinderella ball gown looking. What does she pull for me? Full lace, full satin, and poofy dresses. I tried a few on and told her I didnt like them and they werent my style and she told me I needed to be open and that from now on she wouldnt let me turn around to look at myself in the dresses until she had them fully clamped and arranged. I asked her to please go back and find some beaded, fit and flare/mermaid style dresses and again, she disregards me and brings me a dress literally double my price range and tells me if I buy it shell sell it to me for 40% off since its the floor model. It wasnt my style and furthermore looked like rags from being tried on so much. She told me theyd re-tack pieces that were falling and re-press it to make it look new again, then told me I need to just pick one and stick to it and not look back. I told her that she hasnt pulled a single dress that described what I was looking for and I was done trying on dresses. I was never rude and always up front, so I was angry when I left. It made it SO hard to go to another place to look because I was so discouraged from that appointment but thankfully the next place that I went had fantastic consultants that helped me find a ton of dresses that I loved and eventually narrowed down enough to say yes to. Im all for being open and letting your consultant help you but when you explicitly know some things you want and dont want and she disregards you and tries to push you, its nothing short of a terrible experience. I would never recommend this place for wedding dresses!

Great service and store. Needed to get Tux measurements for an out of state wedding and was promptly helped with all my measurements for free. Great place and Ill keep them in mind for future tux and dress needs.

Terrible experience at a wedding dress appointment. Consultant pulled the exact dresses I said I didnt want (cut outs/see-through), tried to scare me out of purchase at a competitor by insulating they would be closing suddenly without completing orders, and never took my measurements. Felt fat and unwelcome. I dont recommend coming here for wedding dresses.

Mestads has the best dresses! I got my homecoming dress there and all my friends loved it! Im definitely going there to get my prom dress. The service was great. I was in and out and happier than ever.

My daughters boyfriend found out the Monday before Prom that there had been a mixup with the tux hed ordered from a different store. He called Mestads at 7:00 on Monday night. They told him to come in and they could help him. We walked in and 20 minutes later, he was measured and his tux and accessories were ordered. They were even able to match my daughters dress exactly with the tie, vest and pocket square. And they were so friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back in the future for all our formal wear needs. Thank you so much!!!

I brought a beautiful $450 dress marked down to $59. I had never been in this store B4. I said yes to the dress.

Had a horrible experience wedding dress shopping at Mestads! Left without even getting to try on the kinds of dresses I wanted because the lady I worked with was pulling stuff that she liked and not listening to me at all. By the end, I had a dress on that I sort of liked...but since I wasnt able to try on the kind of dress I thought that Id really like, I didnt feel confident that this was the dress I wanted. At this time another woman came bothering my group trying to push me to buy buy buy...they give discounts if you buy a dress on your first visit. HIGHLY recommend making the trip to Saint Charles and visiting White Rose Bridal instead, or going to the cities for a better experience. The only pressure I felt at White Rose was deciding which dress I liked the most...but they never once asked me to buy it because they recommend you go home and think about it before purchasing. You also actually get to walk through the dresses and pull what you want to try on and see all their inventory...unlike Mestads. Definitely stay away from Mestads if you want to have a low pressure, fun wedding dress shopping experience.

I am so disappointed in the service this store has provided since day one.I cannot believe how much this store does not care about their customers! Since day one the service had me questioning my purchase from this location. I ended up purchasing a dress from here knowing that I could get extra lace to be added to my gown. My dress came as expected... but my lace never arrived (Which I will say they told me my lace had arrived with the dress only to be irritated when I arrived) I kept on calling and calling and calling to figure out when and where this lace was. The store would NEVER call me back. I was the one who would initiate the call every time to only be told the same story every time, they were in contact with China and the lace will be here on this date. It never arrived.... several times. (Not to mention their terrible phone system where they would say they would transfer you and you would be on hold for 5 minutes for them to only realize I was never transferred and have to take handwritten notes)Here I am 7 weeks before my wedding and had to cancel the entire order on my lace because it never arrived and I needed the alterations to be done. When asked if they would refund part of my dress because I wouldnt have ordered it knowing I couldnt have the lace she blew me off and told me she could check some local store that had lace similar to what I was looking for. I told her dont bother... why would I want to put some close matching lace on my $1400 wedding gown. If that was the case I would have bought a $300 dress and slapped the lace on it myself.We were scheduled to rent all the tuxes from Mestads, but I have called to cancel the order and their delivery service. They are not trustworthy, reliable, compassionate or friendly. They are running a terrible show and I will not recommend them to a single person. The least they could do is refund a portion of my dress that I am not remotely satisfied with. I will also be sure to review them on every website I can to make sure other brides do not have the same issues I had!

I went in looking for a prom dress and my family was ignored. after awhile I was told we would be assigned a room we would just have to wait, even though I could see empty dressing rooms. I waited 10 minutes and was assigned a sales associate she was not helpful at all and was constantly running around. lucky for me my mother was with me to help. not once did the sales associate help me look for dresses or try one on. my little sister had to track down a different associate to grab clamps to hold my dress while I tried it on. I ended up finding a dress that I liked but decided not to get it because the associate did not deserve commission for doing nothing.

I had a fantastic experience at Mestad’s & it was very much because of Alysha. I felt like I was the only one in the store & that it was genuinely Alysha’s mission to want me to find my dress. I so appreciated her calm demeanor, patience & fun personality. She was quick to answer any questions that I had & made everything go smoothly when the dress was purchased. I can’t say enough about how great she made the dress experience for me! When I brought bridesmaids in for their dresses, Alysha was just as helpful with them. Would definitely recommend Mestad’s, especially Alysha!
