However my father always told me that the right tool makes any job much easier to do and he was right. This is the store where you find that right tool for an affordable price. I love this store, its a life saver.

They always have the exact tool I need on the shelf. I always leave spending entirely too much money on other stuff than I originally went in for... 5 Stars!

I have never been treated so bad in a store in my life. We came in to get a tool cabinet, the old bat up front wouldnt let my husband shop! She acted like he wasnt going to pay for the tool cabinet!! And I had to use the bath room and she tried to make another girl go in the bathroom WITH ME!!! I have never been treat like this in my life!!!

I am big fan of Harbor Freight, like their tools. But while shopping at the one in Roanoke, I was very unsatisfied with the customer service! Also I called to see if they had the tool cart I wanted the day before, she said they had a few in different colors, an when I got there they only had one color. I recommend any other Harbor Freight, except this one! The cashier was very rude to me and my wife! It was a uncomfortable experience for spending as much money as I did.

Been to two of their locations lately, and found great choices and friendly people who have been able to help with whatever you need.

I only give 3 because its so small. But other than that its be 4.5. great deals and the staff is nice as can be!

Rude staff, right to my face even. Man, I have enjoyed Harbor Freight for years for getting my tools and safety gear but if this is the new policy on how to help customes who just were down on their luck in having left their card at home, forget it. They apparently wont even hold your goods to allow you to go home to get your payment. Just weirdly rude and uncalled for.

I havent really had any troubles out of Harbor freight. Good place to get tools at a lower price than normal. Some of the tools dont feel like they are of the best quality but most others seem to surpass expectations. The only reason I am giving it four starts is because I returned an item I ended up not using on a project and the person at the register did not seem well versed in product returns. But it held up the line for about 8 to 10 minutes which is not good for business when there is one, at most two, registers for the whole place. I would suggest they have a 10 to 30 minute practice session before or after work hours, every two weeks to keep their employees ready for the next valid return. Again these are just my thoughts on what I think needs to happen, but all in all it is a pretty cool place to wonder around in and/or buy tools for cheap. If this is your 1st trip to the store; the store is in the far back of the strip mall. There is a lawn mower shop in the front by another name.

Purchased a locking lug nut removal set for $98. Took it home and it didn’t even have the size I needed. Returned it the next day and was charged a 20% restocking fee. Still in original packaging and I offered to put it back on the shelf after speaking with the manager she said no. I had to pay $20 for nothing. Very rude and I will not be stepping foot back in this store again nor will my business

Four stars only due to the waiting time in line. But with everything going on, it is understandable. In the past it was a lot faster but with the same help and simplicity as before; along with the great customer service I should give it a five star but when it comes to, going in for a quick minute to get what you need, it is not like that now. Be ready to go in and get what you need fast because everything is later out for you as it should be but with a slower checking out time.

I usually go here if I am in a pinch for cheap throw away tools with a warranty (they have quality tools as well), they have a really good selection of automotive hand tools, wood working tools, cordless lithium power tools, and electric power tools as well as pneumatic or air tools. They also have all types of gloves and safety equipment including latex and latex-free gloves. They also run deals on cheaper items to get you in the store its basically like an Ollies but as a hardware store.

Has to be the saddest, most pathetic Harbour Freight Ive experienced since my visit to the ST. Joseph Missouri location back in 2019. Pulled into a full lot, walk into a full store and saw 1 register open with a long line, far too long just to save a couple of bucks. As you can imagine, I didnt even buy anything, just looked around for a moment then decided I should probably use that money to go get a COVID test, since it was Bring Your Giant Unmasked Family To Harbour Freight Day.Staff was agreeable enough.

Modest tools for a modest price. Most selections are reasonable deals. If you come across a tool at a price thats too good to he true, then its probably best to leave it on the shelf. Good bargains are definitely available to be found but remember that there is no such thing as a free lunch.

Cheap prices and good selection. I found a trailer light conversion 29 bucks cheaper than advanced auto parts

I went here to look around more than once and every time I was passed by an employee (one and done, no harrassing) i was asked if I needed help finding anything. If I answered no I was not harassed rather the opposite; I was told if I did need any help to just let them know. If I later had a follow up question (I ask a lot of questions) the employees would answer them without the slightest bit of irritation no matter how many follow up questions I had.I was asked if I wanted to be a member of the insiders club (there is a fee involved) I initially turned it down on my first couple of purchases but largely in part due to the professionalism of the employees I chose to become a member. I know if I have an issue they will do what they can to fix it.The benefits to membership are unique coupons, everything is in the system so you automatically get your 20% discounts and member pricing, and your purchases are automatically attached to your account as well as the extended warranties you purchase which saves me the hassle of having to produce a receipt or register an item. Over time I will save hundreds if not thousands of $$$$. There are literally no issues with returns under the extended warranty, because it covers everything but theft all you need is the broken tool, then pick out your replacement.Are they the best tools in the world? No they are not; however they do have different lines of tools under different suppliers. The more you pay typically the better the quality of tool. Just like anywhere else some are better than others. Some of their power tools are of good quality for DIY and you just cant beat the pricing especially with a membership. If I walk into other big box stores with $100 Im walking out with one tool probably without a battery which can have issues or poor design or failure just like the less expensive ones. When I walk out of Harbor Freight Im walking out with a cart full of items.Summing up, decent tools, cheap prices, no hassle returns with quick replacement, and an amazing employee based customer comfort first approach makes this Harbor Freight my favorite place to shop.

Had a warranty issue with a Bauer Drill. The employee Sean, kept telling me it was user error. And would not help me swap it out. Went to the Salem Harbor Freight and was able to replace it. Save yourself the trouble and skip this store and go to Salem

Short visit while in Roanoke and stopped by for some quick items. A great welcome in and check out associate was very helpful with my selections.

Harbor Freight has a good price on 5 and 7 mil. latex gloves. Several years ago after much back and forth in my head I decided to give the Pittsburgh ratchet and socket set a try. Im Happy I did. They are still going strong after 5 years and I use them at least a few times a month, probably no less than any other back yard mechanic. Really Happy with these.

This company has come a long way. Used to be when you got something from them, you would never expect it to last. Now many of their hand tools have lifetime warranties. This store is small, and easy to overlook. It sits on the back side of an abandoned strip mall. I have never been to any other HF stores, but this one is cramped. Every inch utilized, which can make looking for what you need a little difficult. Great store though, great prices, for decent products . Im a regular now that I have launched my business

The cashiers are usually more than willing to pull out a sales ad if you forget your coupons. Ive never had a problem with their customer service or organization. Every person I have asked a question has given me an answer. You can tell the employees that work there know their store and seem to take pride in it.

Im a firm believer and you get what you pay for however there are certain items that you just simply cant beat the price for the quality. Easy to find help and knowledgeable of where product was located overall very satisfied

Went with the 20% off coupon but the chainsaw I purchased was excluded in the fine print that I couldnt read. Had to take a pic of the coupon and then enlarge it to read it. The young man was decent enough to give me a 10% discount after all was said and done.
