This place is a rare jem.. nostalgia everywhere you look. Friendly cashiers. Definitely took me back to my childhood. I fell in love with this place on my first visit. Im so excited to go back soon!
Nice place good prices& No damn mask
I liked this place. Had more vintage than actual antiques but I liked that it wasn’t over run with the cottage decor that so many have become. I found several treasures at this location and I am definitely going back for another look.
Plenty of things to see or buy mainly smaller items. Good layout and prices seem about normal.
We love this store. Very clean, friendly staff. Great variety of antiques.
Found several great items, good prices and friendly service
This place had hidden treasures in every corner.
Cool place! 10/10. Maybe if y’all wore your damn masks y’all would have a better experience. It had nice products and with their mask policy you’ll be safe for the most part. It’s awesome, would recommend. Remember! It goes over your nose, Karen :)
Perfectly lovely place to while away an afternoon. So much to see and so many treasures! You really need to check it out.
A virtual junque-fest. This is more like a flea market space than real antiques…. If you like Elvis, this is your place, otherwise don’t bother wastingyour time…
This is a great place to look for little treasures. The staff are nice and helpful. They do require proper mask wearing. I have not heard the reminder messages that have been mentioned in previous posts and I was there over an hour. Maybe be it was the conscience of the antimaskers bothering them. If they felt that unwelcome I doubt they stayed long enough to hear anything being broadcast. I am planning my return trip already.
Wonderful place! Great prices and friendly staff. I’m really glad to know there’s a place that actually cares enough about others and enforces their mask policy during the pandemic. I feel safe coming here. If you don’t want to wear a mask properly then stay home! If your excuse is you have a medical condition, what are you doing out during a deadly pandemic? Lol. Either way, fantastic place 10/10 would shop again.
I love this antique mall, often buy furniture there, and I am very happy to see that they are enforcing the the rule to wear a mask. I’ve seen the owner advise people upon entry to wear their masks correctly (over their nose) when they try to enter the store, and though people get easily offended when asked to do so, I am personally happy to see that the staff are looking out for the safety of themselves and their customers. I’m high risk and can say that I’m comfortable shopping at this antique mall because I know they will ensure that guidelines are followed. Don’t let the anti maskers (idiots) bring any of you down because you’re doing the right thing. You have the right to refuse service to anyone who’s not respectful of your policy.
Such a lovely store! They have an amazing selection of items. The shopkeeper was very kind as well. Ill definitely be coming back in the future.
Irony: they enforce mask policy (their prerogative) by getting within 2 feet of your face to tell you so. Dealers: I won’t be back until the sheep in this country learn some science. Maybe some of you “feel” safer but I suggest you learn the meaning of “placebo”.
Great place to walk around and look for special junk. I love it! Seeing things brings back child hood memories.
It is all overpriced and extremely unsanitary in that store. The whole place smells like cigarette smoke and there are ashes all over the place and dust on the antiques. The workers are all extremely rude and barely talk to you when you ask questions. They refuse to help when asked. In all honesty the place is so dirty and filthy it should be shut down...I’m surprised it hasn’t been already.
We love visiting the Roanoke AntiQue Mall. Theres always a wide variety of things to look at whether you are young or old.
Awesome place pack full of almost every antique there is and lots of odds and ends.. pretty big store!
Was told that I had to wear a mask even though I have been vaccinated. That is infringing on my rights and freedom.. so I left an will no longer shop at this place
You lost a longtime, faithful and returning customer. Until Saturday, Id frequently visit your mall - which I considered and would tell others was the premier antique mall in the Roanoke Valley. I never walked out empty handed and have spent a LOT of money there. But when an employee is allowed to treat customers the way myself and my fiance were treated, there is absolutely no way well ever set foot in your store again. Her foul treatment of other customers as well is a clear sign her actions were not an isolated incident and I no longer want anything to do with such an unfriendly, disrespectful, and vindictive atmosphere that is harbored in your store.
They ladies that was working today March 25th at 4:30 are very rude! The girl with the pink hair really doesnt know how to treat customers! We will NEVER go back to this store again but if you go to Creative Cat Consignment 2 doors down they have amazing staff and will treat you with respect and dignity that every customer deserves! I have NEVER been treated the way that Roanoke Antique Mall has treated me and my Family in my life!
I have frequented the Roanoke Antique Mall before and had pleasant experiences, until today. I walked into the store and within seconds an older female employee verbally attacked a male customer for not wearing his mask above his nose. She was loud, extremely rude and definitely got within less than two feet of his face. He looked stunned, backed away, and quickly lifted his mask above his nose. I felt bad for the customer, she didn’t have to be so hateful to him. Her attacking him like she did made me feel so sick to my stomach that I left the store a few minutes afterwards. I will not go back to a store where rude customer service is tolerated. She needs to be taught customer service, how to be polite and ask someone nicely to comply with store policy while respecting social distance rules herself. Kindness matters.
I always enjoy visiting here.
Had what I liking for!👍
Cool place to buy antiques. I like browsing old books and magazines. It’s a private business so if you don’t like wearing masks properly, you can leave simple as that.
I love this place. It’s huge and there’s good variety. I accidentally spent 2 hours in there when I thought I had been in there for 20 minutes, it’s just that sort of store. Some items are a little overpriced but that’s the fault of the vender and not the store itself. Contrary to the other reviews, I was not chased with a baseball bat even once. Use good mask protocol and you will be fine.
Great place to find all kinds of antiques, vintage toys, collectables, and all kinds of anything. Usually will take up to one to two hours to browse the entire store. Very clean organized and well lit there. Very helpful staff. Great place to visit.
Fantastic business, fantastic owners. Any business that cares enough about their customers to enforce health and safety regulations, such as wearing a mask during a pandemic, is more than deserving of a five star rating. I personally support the use of a baseball bat to threaten people who endanger others, and if you dont want to be chased with a baseball bat then wear your mask.
Fun! Great selection. Lots of booths. No yuppies yet.
The staff is pathetic here. Extremely rude and they constantly follow you around making sure you are wearing a mask. The vendors have really good things here and unfortunately because of the staff I know myself and others won’t shop here again. I would suggest vendors switch to a different place that doesn’t harass their shoppers. Also as far as the whole mask thing goes they have no problem getting within 6 feet of you to tell you to pull your mask up around your nose.
Large mall. Huge selection of antique treasures.
Beautiful selection. I also appreciate being able to shop in peace without conspiracy theorists leaving their nose out of their masks and spraying buggers everywhere or Karens pretending clear face shields are enough. Finally a private business with the guts to protect its establishment
I have been in the antique/vintage resell business for over 15 years and have worked with many antique malls and this is by far one of the best most eclectic antique malls in the area (REGION). Roanoke antique mall Always has tons of great stuff to explore and purchase. Over the past 3-5 years and recently there have been many new vendors that put their items up for sale at great prices that are more than fair any generally leave a little room to flip and sell some stuff at a profit! I have recommended the mall to my 10,000 followers on insta and will continue to let others know that this place is simply wonderful. The staff is awesome and will help you with anything you need!
I found so many things I wish I could have taken back home with me. Definitely many treasures here.
Much like many others who have reviewed this, I experienced rude and aggressive employees who would follow you around the store and harass if your mask fell down for even a second, even if you were about to fix it. This is not how you run a business and is also a liability for a lawsuit as discrimination towards customers as protected by HIPA Law
I got a very high quality bear rug here. The staff was kind and courteous, especially when I needed help reaching high up items since I am elderly. They care for us, I definitely appreciate them making an effort to keep out disease ridden animals who refuse to wear masks and threaten our health.
I’ve never been but I’m giving 5 stars due to all the 1 star reviews for proper mask enforcement!! I can’t wait to visit and value businesses that value public health and safety!
The two women that were “taking care” of customers were TERRIBLE. They were rude called me a liar when I asked about a price. Will NOT BE COMONG BACK. Doesn’t deserve one star
Their stuff is so lovely and and priced so well!! everyone complaining about the staff don’t care about them. Don’t threaten their lives with a d early virus and they are the sweetest people alive!!
This place is amazing! And it weeds out the anti-maskers, so even better! Just wear your mask like you’re supposed to and you’ll have a fantastic visit!
Oh ill be back, great antiques and reasonably priced
I am an antique mall lover, the only problem I have with this mall is there isnt a resident certified antique representative, so you cant take things for appraisal. Other than that, take your cell phone and check pricing. They have a wide variety of antique items sold by a host of different vendors. Happy antiquing!
Found a few good things at reasonable prices. Lots of good things to look at.
What a wonderful antique and Thrift Shop! It is so big I need to schedule half a day just to wander around in there. I bought a magazine from the 1950s.
Very peaceful. Wonderful antique store/museum. I hope they never close down. And one day have a bigger store
Been going here for years. Great selection and a wonderful staff.I also appreciate that they are the only store Ive been in that actually enforces wearing a mask and wearing it correctly. They walk the rows and tell people politely to put them on correctly or to please leave. No exceptions.Thank you for doing this.
My daughter loves going here and she is only 12. We have such a good time together.
Large variety of vendors. Always treasures to be found! Vendors are reasonably priced and many often have discounts available.
My roommate had to go there I had to go to a doctor appointment and his tires where are bad the back he stopped there and we were in and out in 20 minutes they change both tires plugged them and everything 20 minutes later we were on the road and he says great prices that he could definitely afford he goes there all the time so I guess were going to give this a 5-star rating also..😉😉
Will never go back to this store. My husband was harassed over his mask...because the bridge of his nose was showing above his mask. Lady got very rude when my husband tried to explain that every time he talks, it slides down. Prices are too high anyway.
Nice inventory of antiques and nic nacks.
Love to just go here to look ya never know what Wonderful treasure you will find.
Mostly junk. Disappointed.
Visiting from west covina ca nice place for antiques
Very spacious,a lot of neat thingsYou wont come out empty handedGreat staff
Some pretty decent stuff moderately priced. Nothing struck my fancy this time around besides a copy of spider man three.
Terrible service. Person working was obviously in a very bad mood, not nice at all.
Great place to visit, and shop. Store is laid out well. Easy to find what you are looking for here.
Found a lot of different gifts
Love this place! wear mask and wear it correctly lol
I used to love this place and we planned to do a lot of Christmas shopping there today. I wore a face shield, which in most places is an acceptable face covering. Not there I was told immediately, so I took it to the car and came back with a face mask on. Then the very unpleasant greeter actually followed me and instructed me to wear it over my nose and sealed. Thats not something Im comfortable with (for personal reasons based on a traumatic experience). So we left. And the real kicker is that my husband and I already had covid, did our time and made a full recovery! What is this world coming to? So sad.
Friendly staff, wide variety of vintage and antique items to browse through. Found some really cool 1950s Christmas ornaments! I will definitely be back.
So much really cool stuff. Itll take you back.
10/10, love it!Ps: Wear your mask when youre going out. It saves lives 💞
I find alot of cool stuff here. I reccomend checking it out.
Extremely rude personnel. Things are extremely overpriced.
Good finds at good prices. A wide selection of all things.
It was great and had lots of different types of antiques and furniture there. I purchased 3 items there. Its really nice! I definitely recommend this place and I will definitely go back and shop there again.
Really nice place to look around. Cool stuff and good deals
NOTE TO VENDORS.....The staff is absolutely intolerable. They never want to assist in helping me in inquiring or purchasing merchandise from the booths. They act as if this is not there job. If I were a vendor I would be upset to know because of the staffs poor response in assistance I lost a sell. I have been going here a long time to support the vendors but because of the staff and how they handle things I am soooo dissatisfied and I no longer will shop here.
Honestly the chasing with a bat is a huge plus for me, I find it to be an effective and firm way of dealing with people who wont wear a mask. And for those who are complaining about this practice, simply wearing a mask will make sure it doesnt happen to you :)
Great stuff polite service. Enjoyable experience
To be clear, since others are reporting inaccurate information: Yes the store requires masks, like everywhere else in the state. You have to walk past several signs on your way into the store that make the mask policy *crystal clear*. No mask, no entry, no exceptions. Your medical condition does not mean you can come in maskless. It is a private, non-essential business and can refuse you service for not adhering to store/state policy. You are not a victim, you are not being discriminated against. You are being made aware of a policy intended to keep customers, staff, and their families safe during a worldwide pandemic. The staff does not need to hear your complaints and conspiracy theories. The policy is the policy and if you dont like it you dont have to come in. Nobody is forcing you to shop for antiques right now. The staff has been subjected to a level of hate, profanity, physical threats and verbal abuse that is simply unacceptable for anyone to endure while trying to simply do their job. True, an announcement is made periodically as a general reminder for customers to make sure their mask is on and worn correctly. It is not played every five minutes as someone else inaccurately claimed, it is on a timer to be played every thirty minutes. It can also be played as-needed so as to remind customers who may or may not have heard or acknowledged a staff member asking them to adhere to store/state policy. NOBODY has been asked to leave over a mask. Masks are available for free at the front counter for anyone needing one. While some people have chosen to storm out after verbally accosting staff and making a scene, or have been asked to leave after becoming a physical threat to staff, NOBODY has been asked to leave simply for not having a mask on. The store/state policy is reiterated and a free mask is offered to anyone needing one. The store welcomes all customers who are doing their part to keep other customers, staff and their families safe during this difficult time. However, the store will not tolerate people who risk the health and safety of others for any reason, nor should it.
Good selection of old stuff. Reason for the 2 stars is its bad enough that I have to wear mask on the store as required by state mandate. I dont need to be reminded every 5 minutes with a store PA announcement. Really?
Love to browse in this place, they have beautiful items here
Lots of selection. Cool place. Helpful staff.
I appreciate the dedication to reuse, health, and safety this place has. Despite the many attempts to pass illness to other customers, this place makes it a priority to protect all customers
Air conditioning didnt do the job
Great place for antiques
Phenominal antiques and phenominal people! Would highly recommend!
Dont go there. There is nothing more valuable than respect. They are condescending and rude. In the north we have a name for women like her. Karen.
If I ever win the lottery, Im buying 99.99% of its contents!
My says she loves to shop here
Thank you for being one of the only stores that cars enough about your staff and other customers to enforce mask. I will return as often as possible.
I love the antique mall and the staff are very nice. I feel like I go back in time when I shop there!
I went here looking for antique NASCAR diecast. I found a lot! But $25 just for a 1/24 scale?? The 1/64 scale diecast were about $4.50. Three stars is because the staff were hateful and rude. I took my mask off for a minute to adjust it and someone RUDLEY yelled at me to put it back on or leave. Will come back but staff were not polite. There were barley any people anyways so the mask required was stupid.
Great place to find old things
Nice place with cool items.
Lots of booths, lots of variety, friendly staff.
Vintage. I love looking and finding treasures
Its not an antique store. Its a flea market with a central checkout counter. It may be cosigned junk leftover from estate sales or bulk lots of knick knacks goodwill couldnt sale, but not really Antiques.
Tried to shop here for the first time about 3 wks ago. I have Sarcoidosis (lung disease) and my husband was exposed to the burn pits in Iraq, causing lung issues for him. As soon as we walked in, some lady yelled across the room, from behind the checkout, that we needed to have a mask on. I tried to explain to her our medical issues, and that at the time anyways, the Governor, had stated that if wearing a mask caused breathing or health issues, you were excused from the order to wear a mask. Before I could finish what I was saying, she RUDELY said, we cant help you!..... will never go back again.
Nice things didnt have what I was looking for
