Probably the best customer service that Ive gotten in a music store. The only reason why Im giving a 3 stars is because they outsource there guitar repairs to someone who has absolutely no concept of quolity assurance or even knowledge of how to do a standard set-up.IN SHORT go to the store for lessons and to buy stuff while feeling really welcomed, BUT for the sake that is all holy with electric guitar repairs; DO NOT TAKE YOURE GUITAR THERE FOR REPAIRS.

Thus far weve had great experiences with them. I bought a guitar for myself and a loved one and were taking lessons there. The instructor has been awesome. The staff is very friendly and informative. I notice some of the negative reviews are endorsing other stores so I wont take them seriously since its likely those stores staff posting the bad reviews themselves.

Carl is your man! I instantly relate no matter what we talk about. This is the guy that you can walk in and talk guitars or drums and end up talking about drag racing all in the same conversation. I definitely feel the family based vibe every time I walk in the store. The other manager Samantha is a sweetheart, she instantly makes me feel comfortable. This is definitely the store to go to over Guitar center any day. Very reasonable prices especially on the clearance items and they have the most top-notch instrument repair tech Ive ever met. Greg definitely knows what hes doing when it comes to guitars and amplifiers especially. I never have a bad experience coming to this store ever. THE BEST!!! During these covid times, many items are hard to get, but Samantha and the whole staff are GREAT at finding stuff through their connections and getting it within days! Truly amazing. AND when i made a special ordered, and it was not what i expected, they took it right back with NO problems! This happened TWICE!! I am a professional musician and teacher, and I need high quality gear and customer service, and like I said, they truly are the best music store! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I do NOT recommend this place. I had a repair they said $50-60 and they charged me $100!They tell you one price and charge you way more! They are rude and unprofessional. I will never go back.

I took a PA speaker in for repairs just before the lockdown from Covid and for five months I patiently waited until everyone went back to regular business. I had stayed in touch with Music and Arts during the entire time while I waited for everything to open up and they never did. I decided to take the speaker elsewhere and when I picked it up from music and arts, it was still tore apart and they lost parts. What was supposed to only be a $70 job has now turned in a $225 bill . Stay away from this place. I was given excuse after excuse. I was even told they would help me with cost if I took speaker to one of their authorized dealer but one was never offered because they dont have one. STAY AWAY from M music and Arts!!

Had a great experience and I can say its mostly because of the incredible employee service. Im not musically inclined but they made it easy finding what I needed. Talk to Sam, shes welcoming and informative.Heck, I cant sing a tune or play an instrument but Im looking for ways to go back just so I can hang out. Great Riverside location. I think I just might take up an instrument.

My Step Dads Marshall Head (guitar amp) was not working and he asked me to bring it to this music store Music & Arts Center. The staff there was very friendly and personable. They had the amp fixed in 24 hours and my Step Dad was very happy with the price to fix as well. Nice People

Seen Samuel today and I got excellent customer service and a good experience. He answered anything I had asked him. The store was well organized and less crowded since Music Mikes has went out of business (Music Mikes carried more items). Ive been in before when it became Music & Arts but never wrote a review of it. Very convenient location as well since I live in Riverside. The employees were very nice and helpful (for the most part), but I spent a month waiting on an instrument to get shipped to their store so I could rent it. The guy who was supposed to be in charge of it would never call me back. Im not sure whether its the stores fault or the warehouses fault that every time I ordered an instrument, it would ship and then never show up because it was never actually shipped. Either way, I have auditions and couldnt wait anymore so I took my business elsewhere.

Love this place. Ive been going here for several months for lessons. The staff are excellent and friendly. Very knowledgeable about what I was asking. I even had my instrument serviced there and told them I needed back that night, and they accommodated me! This place is great

Very helpful. The staff there is great i have bought 2 guitars from them and many other things including a harmonica they are kool.

They take simple things and make them very complicated. All I wanted was a simple return and it turned into a week long ordeal. Not shopping here anymore. Sam Ash is cheaper anyway.

Work on my fifty year old fender guitar was done well. Off site by a luthier. But the employee, one in particular leave a lot to be desired. I dont go into a business to be given attitude by a person behind the counter that is younger than my own daughters.

They wont give back my deposit of $35 for fixing my guitar but they never touched it. My guitar just sat there for 4 days. They kept telling me it would be ready in a day. Then a week. Then a week till he could get to it. It just took it back. I will figure out the $35 later. The really tried to hold my guitar hostage and were rude as rude gets

Absolutely rude and unfriendly staff. Defective and old merchandise which they refuse to refund/exchange, and the manager immediately raised his voice when asked for an exchange.For those of you who need string repair or services, visit Cruz Violins across the street. The owner and his wife are extremely sweet and passionate, and they strike cheap deals with people in financial squeezes.Look at the other reviews! The owners are responding rudely to other people whove had bad experiences. Instead of trying to reach an understanding or apologizing, theyre bullying the reviewers who have already had a bad time.

Ive not had a problem at Music Mikes...grandson got a set of drums and they went over the whole lesson plan for someone who has never played drums in the past and even asked me to step back by the lesson area where lessons were being performed so that I could watch one on one before making a decision.

Brought my tube amp in for repair. Turnover was fast. Price was reasonable for the repairs. Will go back again.

My wife bought an amplifier there and these guys were very helpful. We ran into some problems after the purchase and Dennis the manager was courteous and professional in resolving them.

11/08/2017 EDIT: No longer Music Mikes, they sold out and it went corporate. Some of the employees stayed behind, which is pretty cool. I recently bought a breedlove guitar, and that transaction went well. Their inventory is really low at the moment during their changes and remodel, they didnt have my fav strings. Ill update after they become a bit more established.(5 Star) Music Mikes: Parking on the side street or in rear, from Brockton. Pretty cool place. Within a few seconds I was asked if I needed any help. I shop local a lot, mom and pop stores to support small businesses, this place def on my list now.

I had my Yamaha accoustic guitar set up done here GREAT job. So now I bought humbucker pick ups and cts pots for these techs to install in my les paul. Staff is extemely friendly and helpful, these people saying otherwise must of been total jerks. I highly recommend people to head on down. I also take guitar lessons from Smokey and he is great to work with thank you guys for everything

Insanely rude to people who theyre apparently trying to do business with. I asked some old guy in a pony tail to try a guitar, and he sat there for 10 seconds before acknowledging I existed and pretended not to have heard me. Definitely buying elsewhere.Edit: Its more likely the old guy didnt hear you rather than ignored you. Old Rockers are known to have bad ears. Just FYI. Good luck to you.Theres nothing likely or unlikely about it, the guy looked up at me and went back about restringing a guitar without a word right after I obviously approached him and asked, and was clearly annoyed when he finally responded. I know everyone gets in a bad mood, but not everyone takes it out on complete strangers, especially while theyre at work.

Awesome store! I took in my Fender red knob The Twin amp for repair. Its a 2x12 100 watt tube amp... The service was great, the price was surprisingly good and the turn around time on the repair was insanely excellent. I dropped it off Thursday the 26th of May, and it was ready on the 28th. I spoke to Dennis and Carl for a moment and they were informative and helpful. There was another guy (whos name I didnt get) that helped me get my amp out of the car. There were a couple of other guys whos names I did not get, that were also very helpful. Sam, who is the amp repairman, was really cool and did a great job at repairing my amp.4 damaged inputs were changed (Sam gave the damaged ones back in a baggy), cleaned the circuit board and re-soldered the poor connections, apparently the circuit board had contamination. He also added additional insulation to the reverb tank since it was making an awful ringing sound. This is definitely going to be my place for any amp repairs I may need, I actually have a bass head/cab that Ill be taking in soon. My uncle will be taking in an amp sooner or later to Music Mikes and Ill be sure to tell friends and others about this rad shop.Normally I never leave reviews, but I think this place deserves more than a 3.7 - I understand people may not have had the same positive experience, but its more than likely that negative reviews are usually made by cry babies who are never satisfied with anything. I dont think an entire establishment (along with the employees) is bad because one person was rude, and its also very possible that you are just a wiener who has a weak heart. Life is much more difficult than rude employees, people suck everywhere.Thanks a lot dudes!-Nick

Hey, I love this place. The staff are extremely down to earth. The prices arent too bad for a brick n motar. They stock a little something for everyones interests. They even do repairs in house. Not many full service shops like this these days. No it isnt a specialty shop and they dont stock Gibson Guitars or Martin Acoustics but they keep it real and are totally unpretentious. The sales guy named Moe is a crackup with his stories as a professional drummer for a international 80s chick pop glam artist! As Kelloggs mascot Toney the Tiger once said...Theyre Great! Mike Torrance your Staff and store isnt perfect but they ROCK! (now xmas bonuses to everyone) oh and Dennis is ok too!

Just a reminder to anyone in the inland empire....stay away from music mikes...the manager Gerald is an extremely rude-arrogant-shady person. ....for those of you that have known me-you know i am an honest guy.....one of my old students told me he got into a physical fight with a customer...and lost ofcourse(his mom was on the jury for the trial)..ive already informed past and present students about this guy and not to my surprise most of them already didnt like the guy at all..i was also fronted off rudely by this jerk 2 times in 2 weeks..if i were to stay one more day i worried i would be putting him in the hospital for how i was spoken too..the store also has a 500 dollar pa system of mine and they are claiming they dont have it now...yet,one of the employees remembers very clearly...maybe a thief in the house too??? unfortunately,until the owner intervines,music mikes in riverside is going to continue to go downhill... .
