Took my e90 in about 6 months ago for a water pump and rack and pinion.Appreciated the attention to detail and obvious knowledge if BMWs.This week I took my 2013 335i (f30) in for a new charge pipe and oil change and was very happy with the quality of work.

The master tech found that my transmission had been leaking earlier this year and recommended that I get the full service done on it considering its a 12 BMW 528i. We went ahead and got it done and were pleased with the professionalism and quality of work. Hello everyone, let me start of by saying if you value your money and sanity please stay away from this place. The mechanic Ricardo came off as being extremely mentally unbalanced. Ricardo will use condescending language, manipulation and outright lies to try to squeeze every penny out of you. When you call regarding your auto problems be careful with his tactics, this con artist will try to empty your wallet. The guy will try to make you feel like you know nothing about cars to recommend things your car doesnt need and will make up lies to extort as much as possible from you. You might be in despair because your car needs repairs but beware Ricardo doesnt care, money is the only reason he is there.

It took 1 week just to get diagnostic back on my bmw that I dropped off for repairs, that’s after I started calling daily and asking for status. Mechanic seems like a nice guy but, also seems like he is seriously overwhelmed. I got the impression that he has a mechanic that works at bmw dealership working for him after hours when that person is off from their normal job which means expect at least 2 weeks to just diagnostic done and good luck on how long repairs will take to complete (1-2 months). Seems more interested in the money rather than customer retention and satisfaction. If you have a choice, go to another mechanic.

I have a 2009 BMW 328i. It didn’t pass the smog check so I brought my car to Mission Bell Motorworks to fix the problem. Rick serviced my car. He diagnosed and did the repairing just in two days which was amazing. Then I retook the smog check and my car passed it without any problems. I was satisfied and impressed by his professionalism and high-efficiency.

Stay away from this place if youre looking for work on your BMW.The mechanic had my car from August 17th, and didnt get it back until September 11th., on repairs that take 1 to 2 days of work, max!Ignores your complaints of the poor, poor, poor delivery of service and only thinks of himself and the $$$!Used to do decent work in the past, now I dont recommend you waste your time.

I brought in my 2 door mini cooper 2006 model for a service on the window motor and an oil change and the service provided was great. There is a 2 year or 24,000 miles warranty which is a nice security to have as a first time car owner. All my questions were answered without hesitation. I’m giving 4 stars because it was out of my budget but worth the investment

The manager Rick was able to get me in on short notice for my oil change. They were very reasonably priced for a full synthetic oil change. The staff was very friendly and professional!

I came in with a nasty oil leak and after a full diagnosis, I was made aware of all the things broke in the engine bay. Turns out the oil was leaking from three different places. For a fair price (considering I have a bmw 328i), this shop replacement my oil housing, engine gaskets, and vacuum pump, along with other details. When done, I was shown pictures of the work done, and all the specs used to make sure everything was torqued down properly. 10/10 service

Got an 2004 Toyota Corolla that had been going bad on me until finally it wouldnt start anymore. I brought it in to Mission Bell and they worked on it the same day. I been taking my BMW 335i to this shop for the last two years having the guys work From a simple oil change to valve gasket cover replacement and other engine problems. End results are always clean and legit. These guys know what theyre doing making me come back.

I called to get information on an engine repair quote and the representative was very unprofessional and eventually hung up on me.

Ricardo is disrespectful, he quotes you a certain price and then keeps increasing the cost as the repairs keep going, you end up paying the double. He is also disrespectful when he talks, has to force his way in everything as if the customer is “stupid”, he has no customer relationship skills whatsoever. I would not recommend dealing with him at all. Full of empty promises and lies. On top of that, when my car was done with the repairs, for some reason I still had the same problem with a bunch of other new problems.

My husband was in a hit and run accident & we decided to put all our trust in Mission Bell. We are very satisfied with the way we were treated from the very beginning. He gave me a fair price on an oil change and a coolant flush/change and gave me a UCR student discount. Great customer service! Came in for an inspection and told me everything is fine except one of my headlight bulbs went off. Told me to come back the next day and a new headlight will be ready to go. Came in and got it fixed in 5 minutes!

Im very happy with the service I received at this place. I took in my 2011 BMW 328i for an oil change and Ricardo let me know I had a nasty oil leak. He took the time to show me where the problem was and explained to me what needed to be fixed. He was very patient and answered all my questions so I could make an informed decision. I usually dont leave reviews, but after visiting Mission Bell, I felt like they deserved one. I was stuck with a dead starter on my 530i and ran into a roadblock when trying to replace it. Gave MB a call and they were able to get me back on the road quickly. They really know their Bimmers here and have reasonable prices. Definitely trust them with you BMW here.

I called to make an appointment and they were ready for me as soon and I pulled up. Not only did they provide great service, but it was also pretty fast. Also, not only did they take care of my service, but they even fixed my broken cigarette lighter for no extra charge. I will definitely be coming back for future oil changes and service.

I simply said that’s not how much I want to spend on it and rather sell it.He then dropped the price from $4500 to $2400 (have both quotes via email).I asked to discuss it with my wife, and I would get back with him.Called my wife both agreed to get a second look at it.He wasn’t very happy and was super pushy about keeping the car there.However I picked up my car and went to another shop and I got quoted $1295 for the repairs AND my oil pan gasket wasn’t leaking (which he said it was).Dropped it off at the mechanic and then he texts me saying ‘I spoke to my boss he said we can do $1500’ also have screenshot from messages.Don’t waste your time here. Plenty of other ‘certified’ BMW mechanics that can help you for fraction of the cost.And my wife saying I can’t afford it.. really? Is that the best you got? Lol

I went in for an oil leak issue caused by the previous oil change. They found out that the previous company put the wrong oil and filter, and the reason of leaking is because of the wrong size crush washer. They helped me replace the crush washer and recommended me redo the oil change. Very helpful and makes me understand the issue very well!

I brought my 2010 BMW 328i here for service, and I was very happy with it. My car had some starting problems. When I started my car, the engine just kept cranking but wont start. I tried it like 10 times it just wont start. After two day, I tried it again, and the engine started successfully. So I immediately drove my car to a repair shop that I have had service before and told the mechanic what happened. The mechanic told me it could be a bad battery problem, but I was 90% sure it was not because I started my car successfully without jumping. And the mechanic used a equipment tested my battery and said it was bad alternator problem, and I need to replace the alternator for $600. But again if it was alternator why I was able to start my car without jumping. So the mechanic conjectured those potential problems without running diagnose check, and he also said I cant drive it anymore because the alternator was bad and If I drive, I will use the power left in my battery, and when the power runs out, my car may just breakdown in middle of freeway. LOL. So I just used Yelp found another repair shop, and drove my car to mission bell. Ricardo did the diagnose check for $125, and of course there was no battery or alternator problem. It was just something called EKPS: no control current, and the problem is not critical. I think the equipment Ricardo used to do diagnose check is very professional and he also explain everything very clear. My car now runs great, really enjoyed the experience.

However I needed pads and rotors all around and with school I just had no time to fiddle with it myself, so i started looking for a BMW specialist, thats when I found Mission Bell. I called a few other places including the dealer and felt most comfortable leaving my car with Ricardo. He used to work for BMW until he opened his own shop so he knows his stuff and only uses high quality OEM parts direct from the dealer and takes his time and does it right. My check engine light came on, on my 2007 Toyota Camry LE and Ive been running around like a chicken without a head from Fontana - Riverside and I found Mission Bell Motorworks who saved me! Not only do they specialize in BMWs but they were able to fix my car in no time! My problem was my ignition coil and it wasnt a problem for them to fix! Compared to what other shops quoted me, they were the one of the lowest in my area and treated me fairly! I have no regrets and I would return in the future for any other maintenance. Not happy at all. Spent more than I paid for my BMW. With hopes that these clowns knew what they were doing. SES light is still on, car is still stalling. Transmission is still slipping after numerous occasions letting Ricardo know. After the last time I got the car back, they had forgotten to connect hoses to the new but actually used oil separator. Seemed like every time the car was assured to run great, clean, something else would fault or need to be fixed, as if sabotaged. I shouldve just had them do a motor swap but it had to be done Ricardos way. It didnt stop there with the unprofessionalism, he even tried to have my attractive Caucasian assistant as he said in regards to my fiance, even telling her about how he and his wife arent doing well with their marriage and that hes actively seeking something else. Long story short-hes a con artist that takes advantage at the opportunity. Not worth the time I wasted nor the money. And i have obd2 printouts after every time we got the car back with no issues really fixed. If there was a way I could give a 0, I would and im pretty sure there are a few other people that would too. Oh and btw I have pictures as well as videos of multiple issues still not fixed. As well as screenshots of the messages he sent my fiance. Sorry Ricardo but shes mine and always will be. Oh and not to mention but he has an unlicensed and uneducated mechanic that works for him as well. Rip off.

I am the proud owner of a 2005 BMW X5 3.0, which i purchased from the original owner approx. 3 months ago. I took it to the dealership and spent way more than i would like to on an oil leak. Last week my vehicle would not start so instead of heading to the dealership my husband researched around online and found mission bell motorworks. He noticed they were BMW certified and offer their services for the fraction of the cost of the BMW dealership. We decided to go ahead and try them out and had my vehicle towed there on a Saturday and they had a lock box to drop the key in so they could start on my vehicle first thing Monday morning. I received a call Monday in the afternoon and they explained to me i needed to replace the fuel pump. They were very attentive to my questions and concerns and on top of everything my car was finished the next day on Tuesday in the afternoon and i only paid a third of what i would have spent at the dealer. They went above and beyond my expectations and for that i am thankful and will continue bringing my vehicle there should i have more problems later down the line. I most definitely would recommend mission bell motorworks to others. We were looking for a fair and honest mechanic and in mission bell motorworks we have found him!

If there’s one thing I can guarantee about your first experience with Mission Bell Motorworks is that it will blow you away! Their experienced technicians were able to find the cause and solution to my problem in a hurry and without a problem! I came in to the shop to have my safety terminal cable and power distribution box replaced on my bmw and Ricardo had no problem doing so. It was complete at a pretty decent time.

Highly Recommended!I live in LA, my Infiniti broke down in Riverside so I looked on Yelp to find a mechanic. I chose Mission Bell Motorworks because they had good reviews and I was desperate. The owner, Ricardo, could have taken advantage of my situation (being from out of town) but instead he treated me very fairly. His price was very reasonable and his office was comfortable to wait in. He has Internet access and Netflix to watch while you wait! It is difficult to find an honest business these days, Mission Bell Motorworks is definitely one of the good guys!

Took my 2000 Mercedes clk430 in for a check engine light, just a simple egr fix and some hoses. They also warned me about my valve cover gaskets being a little leaky. They did such great work on it with the egr I figured Id bring it back for the gaskets too. The whole staff there is really helpful and nice and thats why when I accidentally pulled off my front bumper, the first people I call is mission bell because they always do great work, and they do it quick at a reasonable price with only oem parts. So what are you waiting for, take your car down here and see what Im talking about.

I Found Mission Bell Motorworks surfing the web as I was trying to find a local automotive repair shop. I own a 2015 Mazda 3 and it got damaged on my way home from work. I called them up the same day and I was scheduled to come in that same week. Ricardo was extremely helpful, he didnt give me the run around and was honest/fair in pricing. As a young college student ( a lady at that), I find it hard to get an honest quote because a lot of repair shops tend to rip you off. I am extremely happy with my vehicle. Friendly staff and not to mention, its a clean shop and theres even free wifi for the customers to use lol.

I own a 1999 BMW 528i, and I been have problems with it like oil leak and transmission problems. Brought it to Ricardo at Mission Bell Motorworks, best decision I ever made. Tells me everything thats wrong with it, and what really needs to be fix. Really knows what he is doing, trustworthy, honest, and friendly. I have a newer 535I. My car was having problems turning on...I took it down to Mission Bell Motorworks. They diagnosed it quickly and turned out it was my fuel pump. Their prices were fair and I was very happy with their work. I usually go to Murrieta BMW for service but with financial situations I decided to give MBM a try. The shop is BMW certified and the technicians are highly experienced. I can honestly say that after the service they provided there is no need for me to ever go back to the dealer and pay their outrageous prices. I am very happy and will definetly be back.

June 27, 2015 My Mercedes AMG started shutting down while driving on the freeway to Los Angeles. I have no idea where I am except that I am in riverside stuck on the 10 freeway. AAA was awful and took 2.5 hours to show up after speaking with seven different phone operators on hold for almost 90 minutes while the recorded voice kept telling me to download the AAA app instead of calling. I guess in addition to incompetent operators AAA is saving money by making customers in distress play with their iPhones stuck in the middle highways on hold. Thats the bad news. The response from AAA was that I was called by the CEOs office and they took my complaint seriously, refunded my membership for the year and I then received a call from their head of training for the roadside assistance division with an in depth interview which I was glad to supply. It was actually dangerous to sit on the side of the 10 freeway for 4 hours because the phone operators were trained incorrectly. Good on AAA for seeking the problem out and promising to fix it internally so no one else is in danger needlessly.THE GOOD NEWS IS RIC ANSWERED HIS CELL, met me at his shop after the tow truck finally arrived. He works on BMW. He confirmed what I told him already that the alternator went bad. Its an obvious diagnosis if you know anything about cars. He charged me for the diagnosis $110.00 and for the repair $850. I hate that diagnosis charge when it is unwarranted. I already told him the problem. I should get some credit for being knowledgeable.Ric had problems sourcing the right alternator. He received faulty one and returned it to the dealer. He had same dealer ship one from the east coast. This took a week and he finished July 4th.(When I picked up the car, I feel he did jam me for price and would not accept a check because he thought he may get screwed over, you know what they say about people who dont trust others.)Ric said he would get a new one and install it Monday.Monday July 6, 2015I feel the need to update my review. While I appreciated that Ric took the car in on a Saturday and gave a great review above, it took him a solid week to replace an alternator which is a basic replacement and charged $973.00. Three mechanics in Los Angeles confirmed the job should have cost $500-600. He used a remanufactured alternator which surprised me but I did check with the dealership ans cost was about $500. Also, since it took so long, I returned the rental car which had already cost me another $300.00. Ric agreed the night before to meet me in Downtown Los Angeles and I would drive him back on Saturday with the car. When I texted him that morning, he said he never intended to do that and asked how much I would pay him to drive. I was stuck and at his mercy. Finally, I Ubered to Riverside for another $100. I told him that the car needed an alternator. Regardless, Ric charged me $110.00 to diagnose my car and then another $857 to replace the alternator supposedly with a new one, but when I got to his shop I found out the alternator was OEM remanufactured which I would have liked to know since I was told it was new.While the Uber ride was nice, its a bit far to take a hired ride. Considering I had already spent $300 for a rental car because of the time this took, this has cost me over $1,400. Next time, I would definitely just trailer my car back to Los Angeles.I think hes likely honest, but the diagnosis charge was unwarranted. I think that should have also been taken into consideration. He also removed the fan assembly and the radiator hose to replace the alternator and my normal mechanic found that odd. Again, I guess thats fine, but the coolant light now comes on when I start the car. I just thought I should give a fair follow up and not place judgment. I am concerned that I now have a coolant issue after he removed the radiator. Off to my regular mechanic to fix any issues that may exist so I can feel comfortable driving my car that I have owned and love.

I called up the shop and asked for a quote and Rob pretty sold me saying that he does real good, genuine work, and will get the job right. So I set up an appointment with them and right when I got to the shop he took the time to show me his certifications of being a certified BMW Independent Service shop. The waiting room is very cosy and offers free wifi so the wait will be worth your while, and also has Netflix on his large flat screen. While waiting for my car I was watching Breaking Bad lol. But before he started working on my car, he had to ask for authorization and the contract for my car. He explained to me that the work he does will be done right and treat my car like his own and not treated like a random car to get the job done quickly. The price we talked about were really solid for the amount of work he did. He will not cheat you on the price, he really gives you the best deal. The service I got was a complete front and rear rotor and brake change, complete brake flush, complete power steering fluid, and complete coolant flush. For the quality of the work and genuineness of his word, I highly and truly recommend this place to get your car worked on. Even though they are BMW serviced, I brought my Infiniti because I knew he was trust worthy and did he prove me right. My car pretty much feels like brand new, and the fluids look clean as a whistle! I cant thank this place enough for doing thequality work they do.So if your looking for an automative shop, Mission Bell Motorworks is the place to go to. I back this shop 100% of the way!

Brought my 2009 Bmw 335i Coupe for an oil service. They used the original bmw filter and oil. They showed me my old oil filter and it hadnt been changed in quite some time. Looking forward to returning here for my next service.
