This place is absolutely awesome! Before I came here, I went to the mall to rid of my old jewelry and the guys offered me such a small amount that I decided not to sell. Then someone recommended Ridgewood Coin, the gentleman offered me 3x the amount the other places had offer me. Will definitely be using this place again!

Ridgewood Coin is the best in New Jersey. Craig is a pleasure to deal with; he is very kind and makes the whole experience of purchasing gold/coins enjoyable. I’ve been to other coin shops in New Jersey to compare them, and no one has been as professional and helpful as Craig. I’ve only ever purchased from him, and if you are buying precious metals and/or coins from anywhere else, I highly recommend you make the switch to Ridgewood Coin. His prices are unbeatable, and it is clear he enjoys what he does as well. It is evident with other shops that their owners are only in it for the money, but that is not the case with Craig. I look forward to returning.

I wish I could give this store negative stars. Complete scam artist. Went in with an album of coins that I was offered $100 for at a reputable dealer. Ridgewood Coin offered me less than 10% of that. This place is a joke. The clerk was more interested in his Vanilla Latte than in being a decent business person.

Ive been buying and selling gold and silver coins here for years. I drive 45 minutes to get here because Craig pays the most. Ive sold $20 coins and $5,000+ coins here. He knows the market and hes completely honest and totally transparent.

Highly recommended. Craig is a top notch guy who offers a very fair amount for what you are selling. I would not believe the negative reviews here as they were likely planted by rival coin dealers looking to poach business. There is just no way they are true. Good man, good place, good offers, good prices. Paul

Very poor attitude and demeaning. Brought stamps in and told me it was a waste of his time to even look through them. Offered a generic lowball price. Went to another shop who took an hour to go through the box and explain things. Offered me almost three times as much to buy them

Dealing with RC for almost 20 years now. Good man with honest prices. No one pays higher prices in NJ No one.People that write negative reviews dont know what they are talking about. Craig pays 90% of spot and that is the best you will get anywhere. To the guy with the stamps from the 1950s they are a dime a dozen. Stamps are not a good investment. Stick with Silver,Gold and scrap gold for the best prices.

I am very glad I chose to go to Ridgewood Coin & Stamp to get the band on my watch adjusted. They were extremely helpful and quick with the service. Great selection of vintage and new jewelry as well. Try this place first!

I went there today with stamps, gold, and coins. I walked in the door, showed the guy an envelope of both new and used stamps (which also have value). The guy blew me off. He just gave a glancing look at my stamps (If he would have taken a better look, he would have found a bunch of unused 1950s stamps (including air mail stamps). Since he blew me off, I went to one of his competitors who took the time to look at my stuff, and gave me fair market value for my stuff. With his negative attitude, I didnt even bother to show him my gold (which I sold in Lodi one hour later). All I have to say is that this guy must have more money than he needs to blow off serious customers

Avoid at all cost. This place claims they pay the market gold value when u sale. Its a lie . They will try to pay u less for the gold u selling. Now how they do that? They weight ur gold using the penny weight instead of grams to make u believe u have less grams. and therefore pay u less. Be careful if u choose to deal with them and have other jewelers weight ur gold before u go there. He robbed me once and it will never happen again. Also, if hes selling u gold dont let him con u with the market value, cause the Market value reflects 24 carat and not the 14 carat. Theres a conversion engine online to tell u how much u should pay for 14 carat. Hes heartless and he prays on people in need.

I have been dealing with Craig at the Ridgewood Coin Shop... Amazing service! He must be doing something right, in business for over 32 years.. Everyone goes to him because he offers the best prices around. Always busy... May have to wait, but definitely worth the wait... Everyone sells to him, when I was there a lady from Colorado brought her stuff in while visiting her family in Ridgewood because she had heard such great things about Craig. Always consistant, prices are always fair, I highly recommend bringing in your coins, jewlry, sterling silverware sets. If you are in the area or near by, Ridgewood Coin is the place to go for the best price..

Charges 20% above spot when buying silver coins. Most coin shops only charge a fee when you buy not also when you sell. Avoid.

Place sucks. I had some gold to sell so I called him. He said he was paying about 90% of spot. Which is fair, however some dealers will pay 95-100%. Provident metals will 100%. So I went there and he offered 80%. I told him I just spoke with you a hour ago and you told me a higher price. He denied ever speaking and the offered 80% of spot. These were eagles, maple leafs and pandas. He lies to get you in, then low balls you. Stick with apmex, jmbullion, provident metals etc. Stay Away!
