Tim our service guy was the best. I explained what happened and he listened. Then he told me it would be an easy fix for him. He inspected my garage door, fixed the problem and lubricated it too. The first technician that came out said he fixed my door but when I came home and open my garage door it was still broke. Luckily, there is a 24 hour service because it was after 5 PM and they sent out another technician named Austin who I cannot say enough good about! He not only fix my door correctly, but he showed me how to work the outdoor pad and the indoor pad correctly and he oiled down everything on my garage door and explain to me how to take care of it. He was so professional and did a wonderful job !!! I highly recommend if you have a problem with your door to make sure you ask for Austin!!! I give him five stars but I gave the overall experience four stars because of the technician before him.

Jason Cusic from A-1 Door Company did an excellent job repairing our garage door, which we accidentally had come down on our car. He arrived quickly after we requested the repair, and kept the repair quick, professional, and friendly, while keeping the cost as low as possible. I will keep using A-1 for all garage door repairs, and enthusiastically suggest everyone else does as well! I had called other places, and no one would come immediately without charging outrageous “emergency” fees, fuel charges, etc, on top of the actual repair, which would also have an additional percentage charge for being an emergency. Don’t get ripped off — A-1 and Jason are the real craftsmen in the Richmond area!

A1 door company was an absolute dream to work with. When the technician came out to do the estimate they texted me with information on the technician that was arriving, which gave us some things to talk about while he was on site. They then provided an estimate right then on site before they left and made it easy to approve the estimate and have the work scheduled to be done. On the day of the install Jason arrived put the two garage doors up without incident and was gone in record time everything cleaned up and looked great. We will definitely not hesitate to use a one door company again!

A-1 installed two garage door screens for me. Brandon came to do the estimate. He did a great job explaining the process, measuring, and showing me samples of the frames and screens. Mike and Ethan came for the install. They estimated it would take all day and perhaps even part of a second day to finish up. Instead, they were actually finished well before the end of day one. They showed me how to properly and safely open and close the screen doors and how to make sure they were locked in place when open. All three young men were very nice, arrived within the estimated time frame, and looked and acted professional. A-1 sent text messages with the names and pictures of the employees who would be arriving and when they were on their way to my house. The screens look nice and I love being able to keep the birds out of my garage.

I learned a lot about how our doors operate and what keeps them running smoothly and quietly. He even helped me figure out the best locking system for my garage entry door. Jason did an excellent job but I was disappointed with the company for 1) not initially letting me know that there was a general service fee for just coming out, 2) that there was an additional $50 fee due to my location being outside of their territory that I was unaware of and that Jason had to be the bearer of the bad news, and 3) when I countered with a more fair & close payment for the service fees and the parts/service purchased since I was unaware of the above, the office lady countered back for $8.50 more! I agreed so that Jason could get on with the work. I know we’re all trying to make ends meet but did not think it reflected very good customer consideration on their part.

Tim Dean did an exceptional job in repairing a previous 2-car garage door that A1Door had installed 2 years prior.Of course since A1 installed this garage door I would have expected a ‘Mia culpa’ cost free repair since in the installation the ceiling rail’s bolt came undone. According to the technician the bolt was inserted on the edge of the wood beam and could have come crashing down as it was pulling away from the beam. I’m sure that A1 will attend to this response accordingly. If not, well $129 was still a good price for the immediate on day response.Kudos to Tim Dean, a valuable employee!

Very friendly on the phone and did the job well. My only issue was the receipt says $135 for trip fee, first hour and something else. They didn’t make any trip. I also was told $119 on the phone. Ended up paying $150 when the job was done in 30 minutes. Overall a job well done though.Also, I came here to get my box truck door fixed. Thinking they had good prices for that because of the last time. Just some advice, if you want a box truck door fixed I’d search around first. They wanted to charge me $1500 for one slat of the sliding door and I would’ve had to wait 4 weeks before the part came in…I went somewhere else and they did the same exact work for $750 and I only had to wait 3 days. CANT MAKE THIS UP! Lol
