My first visit here & I loved the cookies! They were nice and warm when I received my order, and very soft in the middle. The cookies & cream one is my favorite! The outside of the establishment needs some TLC but other than that everything was great.

Fresh tasting cookie. Good price. Great customer service. She displayed loyalty to her store. However, in my professional opinion I believe Insomnia has better quality chocolate. It tastes a pinch darker over yonder, but it really depends on your preferred chocolate type.Edit: just did a quick Google search and read about the lawsuit of 2017. Red Eye COPIED Insomnia’s logo and mimicked their business layout. The opening within a block of Insomnia on two separate occasions is super lame. Red Eye owner refused to comment. I won’t support this business again.

Shipping and delivery are a real problem. I bought 2 dozen to share with my family for a weekend get together. I ordered late on Monday (they have very late business hrs) and paid $20 for expedited shipping. The next day I received an email from them stating that my order was being prepped for shipping, but the USPS updates showed that it didnt actually get out until late Friday. I sent an email to them on Thurs stating that I needed them for the weekend a d what about expedited service. Their reply said that they take 2-3 business days to prepare the cookies to go out, apparently, regardless of expedited shipping request. This was not my expectation based on the website wording. My second email went without a reply from them. We did not get the cookies until after the get-together, which was the following Monday. It was a real bummer to pay $100 for 2 dozen cookies that took a full 6 days to arrive.I had placed a same day, RVA Postmates order the week before with them and that went well, but I definitely will not order anything thats dependent upon their packaging and shipping again. For this reason, I dont see them growing beyond a local business.The cookies taste pretty good and were still soft upon arrival, but the hassle and cost is not justified. The redeye flavor cookie though is really not appealing. The white chunk macadamia and snickerdoodle are really the only stand-outs in the end.

Without hesitation, the best cookies in the city. Always fresh and they are a decent size. Definitely well worth the money, I am a faithful patron and have yet to find any place that tops it.

There was a gentle man named either “Brye” or “Byre” (I’m so sorry I can’t remember) who had curly hair and was SO NICE. Me and my friend went looking for a late night treat. Amazing customer service, we left the store smiling. I will now always pick red eye over insomnia cookies because of him. Give this man a raise.

I did not really enjoy the red velvet cookies. They seemed to have this coffee like after taste. The chocolate chip cookies weren’t too good either. I’m not sure what kind of chocolate chip they used but that could have been why. Out of 6 cookies, most of them tasted like they had been baked off early in the morning and kept in the hot box for entirely too long. The only one that was seemingly fresh was their signature red eye cookie, which was just okay.

These cookies are fantastic. My brother was in town for the weekend and was looking for a late night dessert place so I took him here. He ended up wanting to come back the next night too. The red-eye cookie is delicious and unique, but my favorite would have to be the cookies & cream. So good.

Red eye Cookie not only serves delicious cookies (and they are really excellent, right down to the perfect semi-baked cookie center) whenever you could possibly want them, but this location also has some excellent staff who are ready to go above and beyond.In my case I had a minor accident when the handle for a bottle of milk I had purchased there broke and shattered on the pavement while I was walking to my car. I sustained a minor cut on my finger from picking up the glass shards and the staff at Red Eye not only replaced the milk bottle at no charge, but the man behind the counter grabbed some alcohol wipes and bandaids from an aid kit to disinfect and wrap my cut finger. It was above and beyond service and really demonstrated customer care. None of this was their fault but they went above and beyond anyway.For that reason, and along with the excellent cookies, I can’t recommend them enough.

The red eye cookie should be illegal its so good. The shot of coffee takes your traditional red velvet cookie to the next level. Dangerous place for those who have no will power..... and yet I keep going back.

I dont even know where to begin. The cookies came in warm and gooey. Before the driver left the parking lot we were devouring these cookies like animals. We got Snickerdoodles, cookies and cream, chocolate chip, red eye and Andes chocolate chip mint. There isnt a bad one in the bunch. If you need a snack late at night, do not hesitate. Just do it.

So, first I want to thank the manager and his team at this location because they went above and beyond to help me in a pinch. I wanted to order half a dozen for my aunt for her birthday, but she was just outside of their delivery area. Long story short the manager made sure she got her cookies! :) Needless to say, these cookies are amazing! Heres the response I got from my aunt after eating a few. Red Eye is a great place for a sweet treat. Theyve been around for a while. They used to operate out of the back of another restaurants kitchen and worked their way up to having their own spot. All of the flavors are delicious and fresh. Grab any with a glass of milk.

I ordered a cookie cake for my sons birthday and requested the cake be ready at 1pm on May 17th. When I arrived to pick up the cake at 1pm, I was told no one wrote the order down. They offered to bake it and throw in a couple of cookies. I waited for them to bake it, paid for the birthday cookie and received 3 free cookies.Later that afternoon at the party, I hear guest talking about the undercooked chocolate chip cookie. This was highly embarrassing and not what I wanted for my guest.Highly Disappointed

The cookies and options are AWESOME!!!! The only downside is that you cant order no more than 3-5 of the same cookies otherwise they will have to bake you some. If youre in a hurry or parked illegally then you will be very pressed for time.Would be nice to be able to eat cookies there.

I called because I was having issues with the website. The young lady i spoke with would not take my order over the phone. Once I got the Crap website to work, I couldnt pay cash. After trying 3 different cards I finally got one to work on the website, it had me down for pick up when I clearly stated I wanted delivery. When I called to correct problem I was told I would have to wait an extra 45 min and be charged extra. After waiting another 20 min..I received a call from a gentleman asking if I was OK with being charged $2.50 before they sent my cookies out. I explained to him that Ive already agreed to that and he told me to wait another 45 min. $25 for cold cookies and to be treated like ****. Teach these kids customer service and people skills if you want your company to be a value to the university and this city before people stop caring about your cookie service. I wish I could give this 0 stars but Ill settle with 1.

Terrible customer service. Ordered cookies for delivery, I couldnt leave the house because I had my hands full with the kids. Took over an hour to get here and the cookies were cold and hard. Called manager to get refund and she said no problem. The next day she calls and says now I have to email the owner for a refund. I stopped in on a whim, on a Friday night around 945pm. The place was modestly busy. I was not impressed when compared to buying a package at an local grocery store and making them myself in the oven. The service was top notch, and although I had to wait, I was always kept updated and did not feel like my order was being brushed aside, and everyone was all smules there. However, the cookies are not worth what is being asked, IMO. The chocolate chip cookies I got had some not fully cooked and others with a burnt bottom. Likewise with the specialty cookies.

Great product, great customer service, really crappy website for ordering (if your on your mobile device). Even with the extra time it took to order online they still get 5 stars because everything else was amazing.

The manager called me on the phone and was a complete jerk about it. I want to support locals business but not when they behave terribly towards their customers. The cookie arent that great anyway. At $30 for a dozen delivered, dont bother.

Their chocolate chip cookies used to be amazing, now theyre mediocre at best. Their other cookies still taste the same (at least their name sake cookie does), but I was very disappointed they ruined their chocolate chip cookies. Maybe they changed recipes when they moved.

Extremely disappointed with my first experience with Red Eye. I placed an online order and after waiting 1 1/2 hours to get my cookies, I called them and was told that they never printed my order out and it would take another hour for me to get my cookies. You would think that their company would make some kind of concessions when they were the ones who messed up. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I wont be wasting anymore of my time or money with them.

Also, this wasnt a big deal but it just screamed I dont care about the customer just buy our product: the cookies came in a straight pizza box, like it literally was a box with a huge pizza design with pizza written all over it. Matter of fact, the cookies were so stale and flavorless, you could slap on some cheese and tomato sauce and it wouldve tasted like a pizza. Needless to say I would never recommend to anyone.
