First time spent close to $40 but we definitely were being greedy hahaha price reasonable !!! Everything was made fresh so that’s a plus ! I will say the bottom of my cookie was a bit greasy definitely some calories in the food but it’s cookies what do you expect ! I would definitely go back again ! The ladies at the front desk were also helpful and had patience with us as it was my first time !

These cookies were beyond delicious. My favorite is the confetti and the s’mores. I visited the one in Richmond but definitely glad to know it’s one in Norfolk. Repeat

Great quality chocolate. Huge cookie, great price. Customer service is subpar every time. Red Eye Staff win by far. However, Insomnia wins hands down in terms of cookie quality.

I have to preface by saying if you don’t have any food restrictions this place is great. Cookies are tasty, no complaints there. But I have a tree nut allergy and I noticed that the spatulas they use to get the cookies off the trays were not clean at all. I asked the cashier if they use the same tools for all the cookies because of my allergy and they point blank said “don’t eat here if you have that”. They mentioned that the vegan ones weren’t cross contaminated but I’m not sure if I trust it. As someone with a celiac father I also wouldn’t feel comfortable giving him one of their gluten free cookies.All in all, great cookies if you don’t have to worry about food allergies. If you have them, talk to red eye instead. Not much in the way of GF or vegan options there but the lady’s only cross contamination concerns were gloves touching different cookies. Ask if you have concerns, but I trust them more than this place

Been hearing a friend talk about this place for last couple of mths. Decided to see if there was one in Richmond and gave it a try. Cookies were good and warm!!

Very pricey, but cookies and icecream taste delicious. The woman helping us seemed like she didnt want to be there, and kept giving vague answers to our questions (first time visiting). Based on the taste alone is the 3 star rating, but unless i have an absolute craving i wont give a second chance anytime soon. They also dont take cash (no signs posted about that).

So sad because up until today I havent had one bad thing to say about Insomnia. Insomnia had been my favorite place to go to thus far in my pregnancy. That was until I received a brownie missing the majority of the top. I ordered through Ubereats (havent received a response yet). I called the store... and well got some poor customer service. Basically was nonchalantly told to call Uber and request a refund... but sorry these things happen and whoeverpacked your order didnt pay attention. What to I do now...out half a brownie...I dont want the money...I want my Brownie.

A little pricey but worth it! So good. Do yourself a favor and get the smores cookies. Youre welcome.

Found Insomnia cookies in passing as I was walking by. The cookies were warm, fresh, and very delicious. If I could eat them daily, I would 🤣.

Girlfriend sent me cookies as a surprise today. First issue was the delivery driver telling me he was here, then I had to walk up to his parked car to get my order. Second issue was that two double chocolate, two M&M, and two snickerdoodles were ordered but instead I received 3 snickerdoodle and 1 M&M. Third issue was that the two deluxe cookies ordered with the other 6 were never delivered. Overall order and delivery were terrible.

One of my favorite dessert places however in the past few months, they have been failing me! The cookies have been cold and not their usual warm tasty goodness.

Amazing vegan cookies! Got them delivered and all the cookies were still nice and warm by the time they arrived. Had to restrain myself from finishing them all without taking a breath.

These cookies were not worth the price, poor customer service and cookies were room temperature and hard. I will be sticking with Red Eye Cookie Co.

Last night i visited insomnia, i always love your fresh cookies but you need to teach some customer service to your staff. That lady she was on register she was not welcoming at all she was kind of rude. Maybe she was tired anyways that was my very bad experience at Insomnia.

There are two main late-night cookie places here. The other one has a better selection of milk (homestead creamery), here only has the cheap PET milk.However, that is forgiven because the cookies here are the best in town! Slightly cheaper also (0.30). The cookies are soft, warm, and taste like home cooking. The other place there is an artificial vanilla aftertaste that is not present in Insomnia Cookies.This place would be perfect if they offered better milk!

Heard about it while wondering the VCU campus, ice cream was amazing in the 100 degree weather and the customer service was so great I bought 6 cookies instead of 1. The white chocolate macadamia is my favorite, followed by the chocolate and then snickerdoodle. I didnt share and it was so worth the calories. Photo only shows 5 cookies because I started eating them immediately.

First time trying it, thought i died and went to heaven. Had the assorted, chocolate chip literally melts in your mouth. Best cookies EVER!!!!

Omg the cookies are so good. Always open when I need to satisfy my sweet tooth. My favorite is the peanut butter cookies/PB Deluxe has peanut butter chips.

The cookies were delicious, and its pretty cool to have cookies delivered at midnight. I do wish the cookiewichs were premade, they dont have time to set when you make it yourself and so the ice cream squeezes out the sides - i eventually just dunked the cookies in the ice cream. They are pretty pricey as well, but for a speciality service that is to be expected.

First time going to insomnia cookies and Ill say, it was a fantastic experience. Bought 24 cookies and the crew working was amazing. Quick service and patient and explanatory with me for being a first timer. I live 30 minutes from insomnia, but Ill definitely go back soon.

Place an order to pick up 50 deluxe peanut butter cookies and go the regular ones. I also never go a confirmation email even review if it was incorrect. Im just disappointed because its not the cookies I wanted and I definitely dont have enough time to wait my event literally tomorrow and I places the order almost a week out

The best warm cookies in Richmond. I had an ice cream sandwich as well. Was so worth the drive and money. A definite for dessert and open until 3a.m.

Incredibly GOOD cookies. Im a bit of a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur, and these are my favorite in the area. I love how you get them warm! I have to eat one in the car on the way home when I pick them up! They are not overly sweet, tasty, and soft. Id upload a photo, but I ate them all

Normally I would not give two out of five stars. Based on tonight service I am. The cookies were not fresh at all, normally this is not a problem but tonight and I believe it’s because I used a coupon code, they were not freshly made or prepared. Because I received an email to use a special coupon code I even decided to tip extra but that did not matter. Cookies were not warm, I placed an order and approximately 5 minutes later they arrived....disappointed in the lack of effort.

4 stars for the cookies, yum! 2 stars for the service. Placed order online, supposed to be ready for pick up at 8, arrived at 8:17, hadnt even started on my order. There were 3 customers that had arrived just before I, other that empty. Then the guy said 3 of my 6 cookies were out, lady came from the back and told him new batches had come out several mins ago, he clearly had no intention of checking. Cookies are on point though

After a long night at the bar we stopped here to get some cookies on the way home and I was completely impressed! The cookies were soft and despite myself being slightly tipsy, they were the best cookies Ive had HANDS DOWN!

The cookies were okay. I bake so maybe thats why I wouldnt consider paying for these cookies again. They were good just I can do the same at home. We went in the store and purchased, the person working was not overly friendly, he didnt ask if we had been there before, which we hadnt, he didnt make any suggestions or make any small talk at all, I cant even recall him welcoming us when we came in.

First time buying from Insomnia. So far, so good. Cookies are just as delicious as I hoped. Delivery was fast that 30 minutes. Couldnt beat the price against Red Eye. Got a solid daily deal, 3 free cookies with my order. Definitely satisfied with the service and especially the price.

Would give a 0. Ordered at 7:58pm it was not delivered until after 9:10pm. Called for refund and to cancel after it had been an hour. Oddly enough when I pointed out the website says delivers in 20-35 minutes I was told it could take up to 45 minutes even though it had already been over a hour. Was only offered a coupon for future order. Declined as I will be going with Red Eye from here on out. Cookies were not even warm when they arrived.

Cookies are always warm and the staff are nice. Its tucked off the street a little bit so you might not notice it if youre not looking for it. Its right in the VCU area so expect to be surrounded by college students. Parking in the area is a bit of a pain but manageable.

Not sure whats up with all the bad reviews. Especially the ones saying theyre too expensive. Have you been to Red Eye? Insomnia is cheaper AND has better cookies. The only thing I dont like is that they dont deliver to me, and Red Eye does. You guys should expand your delivery area to be comparable to them.

Super expensive. I got a cup of ice cream for like 5 bucks and it was only like 4 small scoops. The girl was new so I can totally be mad but she could have showed some love. She barely filled the cup. Would never go back again to be honest. The prices turn me waaaay off.

Not great at customer service - the cookies are great but when you have an arrival time of 10:30 you expect them to be there and it is rather disappointing when it reaches 30 minutes past and it is still not there. Give yourself lots of time if ordering from them and give them an extra hour after approximate order arrival time to get your cookie there just to be safe. Unfortunately they couldnt give me an estimate on time and I had an early appointment so I had to cancel my order which I am sure is disappointing to them as well as myself. I am incredibly sad about how this turned out.

It was my first time coming here . I Went in to grab some cookies - there was a rude guy telling me to read the sign on the door and they are only accepting online orders. It’s dark the sign is flying Off the window and that’s not how you greet customers ! Never will I return ! Red eye cookie was 10 steps away ! Go there !

Stopped in with my teenage daughter. The icecream was delicious. Perfect texture, thick and creamy. Flavors had excellent intensity. The cookie was ok. We ordered the triple chocolate. It was a little too crispy although the flavor was familiar and comforting. They don’t offer cones which Is prefer over a cup. 2 small icecream cups and one cookie was $16. We probably won’t be back since the price doesn’t quite match the quality. If it’s on your way and you’re craving something sweet this will likely do the trick but it’s not worth making a special trip for.

Placed an order to be delivered at 9pm. They didn’t show up. I called the store and they said they didn’t have a driver but one was coming in and they would deliver by 10pm. It’s 10:30pm and still nothing delivered. Terrible service and unreliable. Try a different company.
