Audio Express West Broad – Customer Service – WOW.A lot of businesses could learn a few things about customer service from Audio Express.My remote start - installed in 2015 - had developed an issue. Audio express squeezed me in to diagnose the problem – disabled the system so it would not cause any other issues. We then scheduled an appointment. They said they would have to uninstall the old system and install a new system - ALL UNDER WARRANTY. YES – they stand behind their limited lifetime warranty 100%. All the work was completed and the remote start system works perfectly.During some of my wait time – I was able to watch the guys in showroom interact with potential customers. Everyone was treated with the upmost respect. The guys asked if they could help – then discussed the customer’s needs or issues – asked questions to make sure they understood. They NEVER tried to “sell” anyone a product or service. They offered potential products or solutions explaining the up and/or downsides to the customers options. If Audio Express did not have – or could not get a particular product - or could not provide a particular service - they would suggest other businesses that could potentially fit the customer’s needs. I got a sunroof installed on my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee and they did an amazing job for a great price. The employees are so friendly and kept me updated on the status of the install.

Great service and communication from quote to install. Andy took time to show me the different leather interiors and colors for my truck. He also gave me a tour of the shop and introduced me to the installer. I highly recommend anyone considering switching out their factory interior make Audio Express your first and only stop.

The Guys are nice but after telling me it might cost $80 to install my speakers and that sound deadening probably wouldnt be required, they called to say the speakers werent made for my BMW and that I would need sound deadening mats that would run maybe $400. Told them not to do it, just replace the amplifier. Cost over $300 to remove and replace the existing BMW amplifier which I supplied, and didnt even return the removed amplifier (which I didnt notice till several days later. I took the speakers to Howes on Midlothian which installed the non fitting speakers and a small amount of sound mat for $125. On the way out the door I met another guy who had been dissatisfied with work done, and overcharges made on his installation by Audio Express.

These guys know what they are doing and perform really clean installs. I could not be happier with the level and quality of service. Ill always go there for ANY of my car audio needs/advice.

10/10 Very highly recommend this business. We were replacing an after market sterio with the help of Alex to begin with. He was knowledgeable, communicative, and always helpful answering my questions. Our car had an odd electrical issue and Alex and Steve took it back in the shop 3 times to solve the mystery. Their installer Paul found a dime on some contacts at the back of our console. They were so patient and determined to fix the issue. Our new sterio sounds amazing. We can’t say enough good things about this team of men who took fantastic care of us in this frustrating situation for all of us.

Andy and his guys did an amazing job on my truck. The sound quality is a night and day difference from the factory sound system!While deciding which components I wanted Andy was able to provide me with several options so I could choose what I wanted to include in the system while still making sure everything fit into my budget. The time he and his staff spent letting me hear the different components so I could choose what fit my music tastes, reviewing with me what his recommendations were, and the friendliness of his entire staff was second to none. You would be hard pressed to find a better place to take your vehicles for your aftermarket needs. I couldn’t be happier and will definitely be bringing any other vehicles we get to him for an upgrade.

Got a new radio and dual 10 inch no audio subwoofers in my trunk of my 2020 chevy malibu. and the quality is amazing. new radio boosted the aftermarket door speakers i put in last november and gave me a whole bunch of customization options to mess with. the subs get incredibly loud and the notes are very crisp. we had some trouble getting ahold of the wiring harness but that was due to the car being so new and probably something else that made it hard to get ahold of but we finally found one and got everything set up. very happy with the work they did

These guys do AMAZING work. In December of 2001, they installed the leather to replace the cloth seats, and added an electric sunroof to my Toy Highlander when it was brand new. They saved me so much money, because it would’ve cost a lot more at the dealership. Plus, audio express let me pick out the color of the leather. I knew exactly what I was getting. They even work with heated seats, and the friends I sent there love their new leather seats. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Fast forward to late 2020, my electric sunroof has held up wonderfully with no problems, and my leather seats are still flawless with no tears and no issues. I wish I thought to buy cloth seats and just have Audio Express change them to leather in my new SUV. My new SUV has the pleather (fake & plastic leather) which I absolutely can’t stand. As soon as these wear out, I’m heading back to Audio Express for new and real leather seats!

Brought in my Audi A6 over the summer for a custom sub box and sub installation. Must say they did a beautiful job. The box is perfect, and my car sounds great. Couldn’t of asked for better work. Plus they were honest on all the parts I needed.

Disappointed! had appointment and 26hrs to instal 1 sub with box and amp. Found somewhere to stay overnight and in the morning they said well, it works...... Installed amp in front of floor heater. left behind the seat all bare metal. sub hits seat as well......... cannot recommend

Its actually been about a year and a half since Ive been to Audio Express, but they provided service on two of my cars...and when my daughter-in-law asked where she should go, I immediately thought of them (and double-checked to ensure they hadnt gone down in ratings over time). Heres what I messaged her: They were really good and honest. They installed the remote starter in the Escape and installed my audio system. I thought I needed new speakers, but the guy suggested I upgrade my radio because Id probably be happy with just that...and could save a couple hundred in the process. And he was right. They deserve their high rating. Thought I should share more broadly!

Will up sell you on everything. If you dont know everything about sound systems, they will take advantage of you. Asked for subs installation with stereo, quote was decent, but then was told owned amplifier was busted so tried charging me double of original quote. After just asking for car back, ended up paying $650 for stereo install and wiring which turned out to be shorted.

These guys are amazing, I wish I could give a higher rating. From the start, Michael gave me all the information I could possibly want (which is hard to find knowledgeable people that are actually willing to share their information without an attitude to someone who has no knowledge of the business). They where able to put on remote start, keyless entry (2 FOBs), a truck cover, back-up camera, and new stereo for a truck I recently purchased for a business I just started. They where highly respectful, ordered the parts for me, and scheduled me on their next available date. They even asked if I needed it back the same day (no worries there, as a contractor I believe in taking your time as you need to). The work that was done was perfect. They even got my camera in a spot that no one at the ford dealership could do (they where also extremely pricey in comparison), which was right above the hitch (no more second man needed to hitch!!). It all came with a life time warranty while I own the vehicle. Everything they did on there was $100-300 cheaper in total with parts and labor. All in all, this the place you want to go to, hands down!!

This shop did a great job on my recent remote start install, they were quick to work me in even during the holiday rush, very knowledgeable and patient with my repeated calls with new questions. They were also $100 cheaper than the shop right across the street, and friendlier too! I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing service.

I live an hour and 15 minutes away from Audio Express but they were recommended by a local business that couldnt do what I needed. I was given a choice of Audio Express or the Ram Dealership (local). I chose Audio Express based on the recommendation and am very happy I did. They got my work done ahead of the time they quoted me and the system works great. Im taking my wifes car down in a couple weeks to get a remote car starter installed because I trust these guys and their communication and work are great. They worked me in same day for installation and when I came to pick my truck up, Steve took the time to walk out and show me anything and everything about my new head unit. Price was good. Fast and excellent service. When I took my car in to have my new radio installed, what I thought would be a two hour job turned into a one hour job. I have a 2002 Toyota Highlander. AE installed the sun roof & beige leather seats for me in December 2001. I had minor issues with the sun roof 5 years ago and a few months ago, and they fixed it easily with no hassles. My sun roof is better than the factory installed ones. My leather seats are still holding up beautifully and so comfortable. It’s been over 17 years and my sunroof and leather seats are still awesome. I love Audio Express!!!

Audio Express installed custom leather in our optima. The factory couldnt have done a better job. All the staff are professional and very personable. I must commend Eric and Steve for setting the bar extremely high for quality customer service! If you want quality products and service, Audio Express will DEFINITELY provide both!

I had a truly awesome experience with the guys here. I purchased a remote start system from them that they installed for me as well. The real difference I experienced here was the level of professionalism, patience, kindness, respect, and above all it was very clear that these are fellas who actually care about you. I actually called five to seven different places to get remote start installed on my fiances vehicle and this place was the cheapest and the most customer friendly. They worked with me on pricing they even let me take home something to wrap up for Christmas to put under the tree. They were professional did everything on time and I couldnt recommend this place for remote start or any other service they provide more. Im having a remote starter installed today, although my install isnt finished yet the gentlemen I worked with have EXTRAORDINARY customer service. They were very professional, patient and helpful. They get 4 stars just for being customer savvy Im sure my install will turn out great so they definitely will get a 5 star rating!I just left from Audio Express the guys did a great job and everything works perfectly and it didnt take much time either!...so far so good 5 stars in my book I would definitely recommend Audio Express.

I recently had Audio Express install a complete stereo system and new speakers into my 1966 Mustang Fastback. I couldnt be happier with the work they did. They did a complete custom build, building new front kick panels, a new floor for the trunk, and a panel to hold the rear speakers. They really went the extra mile, sealing up the trunk in order to prevent moisture damage, adding soundproofing around all the speakers to improve the sound, and even fixing loose hardware inside the door panels (hey, its an old car). The customer service was exemplary and they kept me apprised of the progress of the car as they went. I highly recommend Audio Express to anyone who has car stereo needs whether for a modern car or a classic car.

Had a good experience here and was able to get a radio installed for my husband same day which one great, only giving 4 stars because i was quoted and agreed to $360 and than after i had left the car for almost an hour they called back and said i was mis quoted and it was going to be around $100 more, that was the only negative for me

I will say that I did some price comparisons and they were actually cheaper for better quality. When I got there we realized my dash kit was broken. Instead of waiting they were abe to fix it. Went to the Colonial Heights store to purchase a car stereo for my daughters vehicle before Christmas and received excellent service from the staff, who explained all of the features of the radios I was considering. I have been doing business with Andy and Audio Express off and on for many years. Recently I took in a fully restored 1972 Datsun 240z and asked for no cutting of any panels, no cutting or attaching things to the dashboard, etc. I had run wires and mounted an amp while doing the restoration, but needed the experts to figure out the best speaker setup in a difficult car.Knowing I didnt want to go way over the top, but didnt want to go on the cheap either, Andy talked with me on many occasions to figure out the best solution. Even though it took me some time to make the actual purchase and bring the car to them, each conversation was extremely professional, courtesy, and friendly. It was obvious they wanted to help. I worked mostly with Andy in the beginning, but when the work was being done, the guys in the West Broad shop picked up the ball and ran with it like I had been working with them all along.Once I finally got the car to them, it was a challenge because of my restrictions. While Im sure they had visions of great things they could do, they still came up with good compromises and created a great system in a limited environment. Custom tweeter pods were build that sit flush on the dash but are not attached to the dash (attach to the A pillar but looking at it you wouldnt know).When the work was done, a lot of time was spent with me explaining what was done, things I should look out for (I ran all the wires when I was restoring the car but they had great suggestions for how to improve things), and ways I might enhance it in the future but without throwing the all out sales pitch on me.I trust these guys and will take other work to them. Im very picky about who I recommend to people as I feel my name is attached and if something goes wrong, I look bad as well. I have NO reservation recommending Audio Express. At a minimum, go in and talk to them and see what they can do for you. You wont regret it.(No, Im not affiliated with them, nor paid by them, just a VERY happy customer. :) )

I recently had a subwoofer installed in my car and Im very satisfied with the customer service and installation workmanship. Alex was helpful in discussing my options and getting me a good deal. I plan on returning for future sound system upgrades.

2 stars for decent work done the same day I brought it in; the rest of the stars are not there for pricing, expectation setting, and how questions were answered.My attempted factual recreation.... I brought in a car for a head unit repair, not a fresh install. After a parking lot assessment the issue was obvious, I cut the wires and the head unit would need to be hard wired. So be it. before work began was quoted $150-$250. The range was due to the unknown nature of the steering wheel and Bluetooth pieces, fair enough. But was advised the $250 was almost 4 hours of labor anyway. All fair. Was there from 930 to 1230 (dont know when it was pulled in) and when it was all done price was $250. Huh? $250 is almost 4 hours, according to initial conversation and I had been there three MAX, so I asked the obvious question... Why $250 when that was the upper end and that was close to 4 hours of a techs time? The answer: well, its not really like that, its just the job was $250. Nope, not acceptable. TO BE CLEAR, I think $80 an hour for a tech is not that bad an hourly rate, what is bad is how expectations were set, rates were unclear or do not exist, and when questioned the answer was dodgy.

So quick and helpful! I came in for a new radio and was sold right away! Will definetly come back for all my car audio needs.

I like pioneer but Andy likes Kenwood and that is all he really wanted to show me. He pushed his favorite head unit at me so hard he wasnt listening to me about my interest in the pioneer unit. He must be the owner based on his condescending attitude.1,500$ was the quote for Kenwood installed with a backup camera. Too much.I had a much friendlier experience with Audio One right down the street. I love my new Pioneer navigation stereo. And with the money I saved I was able to get both front and rear cameras.Now its so easy to put the boat in and out without guessing or help.

Got a stereo installed in my truck.. the price was well worth the money and with that being said it was nowhere near expensive in my opinion. Very good price, great service. Did it in less than half a day. Very neat and creative when they ran my Bluetooth mic and USB cord. Definitely recommend.

I went in after I blew out one of my speakers cranking up the new Hate Eternal album way too loud. I just wanted an equivalent to replace what I had, and was pleasantly surprised at my experience. It was fairly obvious Im had little knowledge of car stereo equipment, but they didnt try to sell me crap I didnt need or force upgrades down my throat. Everyone was pretty chill. 5/5, will blow another speaker again.
