I wanted a new (expensive) camera and was looking both at Best Buy, Amazon, and also Action Camera. Turns out the prices were the same at all three, and since I really like to support local business when possible, it was an easy choice to buy it from Action Camera.The service was great, the staff are knowledgeable about the products they sell (you wont get that at a big box store) and they had what I wanted in stock.The biggest benefit from buying from Action Camera came later when I thought I had an issue with my camera. I went back to see my original salesman (Brian) and he took the time to listen to my issue and then thoroughly investigate it with me. He didnt brush me off, but went to pains to see if it really was a problem. We experimented with equipment from their rental program and found out that my issue was really an operator error/operator expectation issue, and there was nothing wrong with the camera. That sort of service is not possible with either Best Buy or Amazon.Thanks for the great service!

Action Camera went out of their way to help me with my issue. Im a 25 year professional and my D5 Nikon crashed mirrorbox. I called a few cameras stores in Reno trying to solve my problems. So my company had 3 equestrian shows this weekend and I had a old D4 as my backup Body. Quality was a issue for this event using this body and Brian had the solution and sold me a D500 to get similar quality I was getting on my D5. D5 is off to NY to be rebuild and the show goes on with high quality images for my customers. Best part of the story is Brian took time out of his day to deliver the camera to me with out me leaving the event. Josh was an excellent salesman and helped us find the perfect gift for my mother. She has also gone to some of the photography classes provided by the shop and was overfilled with knowledge on how to maximize her camera. Go visit these guys, it’s the coolest shop around!!

The sales rep was attentive and patient with my amateurish questions. Specifically, he demonstrated a few tripods and fluid head combinations. He continued to explain features and pointed out areas of concern. Bottom line, Action Camera pieced together what I was looking for into a functional apparatus. After 10 minutes of tripod demonstrations, I was able to make my selection with confidence. I went in because I inherited an old camera that I did not know how to use and Tim was kind enough 2011 step by step and show me how to load the film how to use it how to focus it! It was truly amazing that he knew this much about this old camera! Now I get to use it at a family reunions coming up I am so excited it only takes black and white pictures but theyre going to be amazing! Thanks Tim!!!

Just moved here from mass, was looking for a shop that sold lens, they had everything and more, I forget the mans name that helped me but he was extremely helpful and friendly and had a good conversation. If your semi new to photography this is def the friendliest place to go for help

I am a Sony shooter and another shop in town told me that they do not believe in Sony and proceeded to hang up on me. This lead me to call Action Camera and I will never go to anywhere else. Action Camera has a high variety of options for equipment for all levels of photography or videography. They treat you fairly and they go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied. I ordered the new a7iii and they had it within a week for me. I walked in, no hassle, paid and had some great laughs with my staff. Never had I felt so comfortable being a store.

Went in for a censor cleaning and the attendant spread the dust onto the view finder making the problem worse and more expensive to fix. They would not refund the cleaning and could not offer any solutions or recommendations to improve my situation. Would not recommend this store for any repairs or cleanings.

I had an issue with my backup camera, they were a huge help. My backup needs a firmware update so they rented a camera to me. They go out of their way to help. Great place!

I went in to Action Camera to buy my wife a DSLR and a few accessories. I had some beginner knowledge to start with and Craig and Brian were awesome to work with and answered all my newbie questions. I came cack a few days later and was remembered and felt good to know a local business really cares the way they do. More businesses should be this personal and professional.
