I spoke to Alex over at Redwood General Tire about a set of tires for my 2020 Porsche 992 (911 Carrera 4S) ... he gave me a great price, but thats not why Im writing this... his communication and his attentiveness was 110% .. then he (and his tech, Nick) did a first class, white glove installation on my car.. I watched the whole process from inside the shop and I would trust them over my dealer to handle my car... the wheels were meticulously cleaned after the install and the tires cleaned too... it was truly a factory look experience!

Was a great experience as always. I dont know squat about tires, but really trust these guys. They are patient with my questions and always give me a fair price. Kurt is especially amazing. Very nice, helpful and tells it how it is.

I have been bringing my cars here for about 15 years. I love the fact that indeed the same front desk people there. Same guy has been helping me forever and it feels like personalized service. Wish we had more places like this with custom, old school service. Plus they are located an easy walk to down town RWC. Recommend that cigar store on Broadway and Main.

My go-to tire shop for my C6 Z06. Theyre the only ones who know how to mount Cup 2 run flats on the Corvette Centennial Cup wheels. Most other shops will scrape up your rims trying to get them on. Everyones also a pleasure to work with

Costco would not fix my tire with a silencing foam core but Redwood General Tire Pros would. Guess who got my business? The staff knew their stuff, the car drop off was easy and the car was ready on time. The tire seems as good as before the nail puncture.

This place is a scam total rip-off dont come here . This gentleman by the Name of Kurt quoted me 3500$ when I took it To another guy he told me if I buy the parts hell do the work for $300. The parts cost me $286 and installed for $300. Total savings $2900.

I am from out of town & woke up to a flat tire on my RV. I called Redwood tires & spoke with Kurt. He suggested how to move forward. I took my RV in the next morning to find out 3 tires were low on air due to a valve issue. Long story short- I was given excellent, professional assistance. The guys at Redwood Tire are Great! I have gone there for many years. They are honest, knowledgeable and efficient. They have also matched all prices. I have stopped by on many occasions just to see if I need tires and they always show me what they are looking at and explained why I do not, or do, need new tires. It is an excellent business!

I have a modded E46 BMW, and let me tell you there’s only 2 people I let work on my car besides me. My BMW mechanic who I call the “BMW Whisperer”, and Redwood General Tire. Every time I go they are honest, and not trying to work you for extra money. Told me I needed some work and understood I would do it myself, told me to come back when I was ready for tires and alignment. I came back without an appointment and got the car back in 3 hours. Great quality service, and good pricing. Highly recommend, even for modified cars.

I went here to get new rims and new lug nuts installed, no damage to the lugs... few months later I went in for tire rotation, alignment, and my lugnuts were damaged :( seems like the wrong socket was used. These are $200 lugs btw------------------------------------------------------------------Update: I stopped by the to have them look at my car, they determined that it was necessary to change out the lug nuts on the house. They understood, they were nice, and they were patient. I will continue to use Redwood General Tire Pros as my go to for tires, alignment, and other suspension related work.

This is a wonderful place to come to. We have found everyone we have talked with the be extremely professional and knowledgeable.My husband was just there a couple of weeks ago. He had found a nail in one of our tires. He had initially gone to Americas tires and they said that we needed a new tire. I am not sure why, but I believe they said we would need 2 tires. It was also going to be 2-3 hour wait. During that wait time my husband walked over to Redwood General. They would be able to get to it within 40 minutes or so. It also turned out the tire could be patched. So, we went from possibly spending $500 to $30 for the patch. Our tires are from Americas Tires so we will continue to go back there for rotations since they are free. But the next time we need new ones we will be heading to Redwood General!!

I went there for 3 replacingtires because two Staffs warned me about those tires. I asked them to rotate tires. They said it is not good idea and not safe. I went to the front desk and told Kurt about tires. He told me not need. I told him to come with me what his 2 staffs told me. Looked inside 3 tires. He said, Oh right okay! I got 3 brand new tires. Awesome! Thanks!

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Brought my fathers Ford Raptor in for a new tire after experiencing a blowout on the freeway. It took over a month to get the tire and was charged extra for expedited shipping. Once the tire was ready for pick up, I went down to the shop to pick it up and when I got there the shop didnt even have the tool to put it back up underneath the truck bed - where spare tires are kept. The heavy set middle age manager of the mechanics then proceeded to bad mouth me in Spanish to one of the workers after I told him I didnt have the tool to put the spare back in its spot.Since the shop did not have the tools required( its a standard tool, with a square head), I put it in the bed of the truck and drove around the corner to Americas Tire where the shop, indeed, did have the tool required. In less than 3 minutes, the spare was put in the correct spot and they did not charge me a dime.If you like overpaying and poor customer service, go to General Tires

Dont get your coolant flushed here they send you away in a dangerous way. Not enough to keep the engine cool efficiently. Definitely didnt get $75 worth of goods and no refund from the manager. Glad danger is priceless

Well I guess sometimes yelp is correct. This place is quite reasonable in terms of price. The quality of work seems great and it was also a professional business transaction. I would recommend this shop to anybody. We were just traveling through town and needed some repairs to our car. They gave us a very fair price that was not inflated or anywhere near what the dealership would charge.

This is a long-time running tire shop in Redwood City. Kurt (the main manager) has been there since 1989 (I think). You can definitely sense the long history and pride these guys have in making sure they get your tire right. I went in due to a super unlucky incidence where one of my barely used 4-set tires ruptured on the side, making it irreparable. Kurt tried his very best to not have be buy another set of 4, and worked around my schedule and availability. He was honest with the quality of tires that was in the shop, and you can sense that he just wants to make sure he gets your tires right.

My husband got his tires replaced here recently and the service was phenomenal. Booked his order online and the response was prompt and professional. He got the exact time he booked, which was very convenient. As for the service, the estimated time for the tires was 2hrs and they did it in 1. Their prices are more than fair and no other place could beat there prices/service/warranty. These guys are great and definitely coming here again.

We have been customers of Redwood General Tire for >25 years and have always trusted the service and appreciated the skills of the team. Our last visit (a few months ago) was not such a good experience as the desk person forgot to pay attention to the completion of a key service request (replace the brakes) and didnt realize the car was still in the queue until we called at the end of the day to pick up the car. The car had to be left over night and the work completed the next day. I hope the staff has become more knowledgeable and attentive to customer requests for service.

They had a nice selection in stock, including my preferred location Cooper touring. There is lots of capacity, too; so I was able to drop in with no appointment and get helped immediately. I decided to keep one of my tires to use as a spare and the tech out it in the trunk for me, wrapped in a bag (nice touch).

These guys are great. Reasonably priced. Seems honest and trustworthy. How did I came to that conclusion? I sat there for about 2.5 hours waiting for alignment and tire work for my car. I overhead many conversations - they are honest about what customers actually need, and would advise customer if they dont think certain expenses are necessary. I heard a painful conversation where the guy was compassionately giving advise to someone who obviously badly need a tire fixed with very limited budget, and the poor guys tire is already complete bare and way beyond its useful life. Anyway, feels like a old village shop where you are talking to people who actually cares.As for my own service, it went great. They installed 4 new tires for me from Tirerack, plus alignment work. They called me the day when they received the shipment, and got me in the next day. Also gave me a 10% discount on the alignment.

I scraped my wheels and noticed there was a small cut in the sidewall of my tire. I came and I asked them to check it out and they said everything was fine and sent me on my way and wouldn’t even let me give them a few dollars. I really appreciate the friendliness of the staff and putting safety first.

Ive been going to general tire for about 10 or 15 years. I love their prices, selection, quality of service. I love the fact that they will rotate your tires for free if you buy the tires there. They are usually pretty fast too. They have WIFI, coffee, clean bathrooms and very comfy chairs for while you wait.I would have given 5 stars except that in the last year or two Ive noticed the service guys being more rude/arrogant/grumpy with me. For a commodity like tires, I can go anywhere, wish theyd realize that and not have an attitude (especially after seeing Ive been a loyal customer over the years). They used to be so patient and explain things. But I see it improving over my last few visits again.

Following an accident, the team here was super helpful with making an assessment, getting us an estimate and working with our insurance to determine total damage and compensation. My car ended up being a complete loss, so I cant speak to their actual repair work. I would definitely go back though.

Went there to get my wheels balanced, as there were notable vibrations at highway speeds. They charged about 80 dollars for the service which is reasonable here in this area. But after completing the service they tried to convince me that I needed new tires, which was complete nonsense as they were only a few months old. Furthermore, the vibrations were still there afterwards, so they completely screwed up the balancing job. Went to a different workshop to get the wheels balanced again and to get the tires checked. Unsurprisingly, the tires turned out to be fine and the vibrations were gone afterwards too.

My cars timing belt gave out on Highway 101, and I was towed to this shop because it was the closest one to where I broke down. What a stroke of good luck! The service was great, and staff was very helpful and friendly. They walked me through the issue and the possible costs involved depending on how bad things were when they to started taking things off to replace the timing belt. In the end it was a pretty expensive repair, but their price came in below their initial quote and was right in line with what a job of that complexity would cost anywhere else. They also got it done quickly, and put down a nice piece of plastic sheeting and paper mat when they test drove the car to make sure they didnt get any grease/dirt anywhere while driving it. Those are the kind of little details that mark a good shop -- shows they take pride in their service.
