Good coffee, laid back open space to relax. Loved the options for pastries and specialty coffee. We picked up a bag of beans on our way through. Some funky cool art work and stickers for sale too. Definitely worth checking out. Winter the barista was very welcoming and answered all our questions. Top notch

Simple the outside. Welcoming on the inside and most important the coffee is on point. It was crafted and well roasted. I would go again. Also blueberry lavender scone was delicious.

Just moved into town so Im trying all the coffee spots. This place has great atmosphere and fast, friendly staff. I had a wet cappuccino to enjoy in-house and it is (still sipping it!) delicious.Ill have to come back another time for lunch because they offer food, too. Absolutely lovely. The nest latte Ive ever had, lavender and honey, iced. Beautiful decor and some serenity away from my chaos.The service is great. My barista was helpful with my purchases. Im bummed that I dont live closer but very happy I can purchase their beans online.

This place has the most wonderful aesthetic! I could have spent the whole day here. I ordered an iced lavender honey, coconut milk latte and it was delicious- so good in fact, that I went back a few hours later for a second and to purchase some of their merch.

It was 9am and many items were out like biscuits sandwich, only plain bagel and another type were available. They said they have fruits yogurt parfait but turned out they had only yogurt with granola. I asked for hot water and they said they dont do hot water. Ill never come back here and shouldnt tip them either.

First time visiting the city, and was told this was the place to go for coffee. Not only was the drip and pour over coffee absolutely amazing, the staff were so friendly and sweet. I’ll be coming back the next few morning while I’m in town!! 5 stars!!!

Excellent service and coffee. I try to stop and get locally roasted beans whenever Im on the road and this was some of the best coffee Ive had in my Midwestern and Great Plains travels. I got a bag of the Pronghorn roast and then also had a cup of it as they had it on drip. The drip coffee I got was really delicious and the beans are excellent as well.Staff was super helpful on recommendations of what roast to get.

The nitro cold brew here is absolutely fantastic. If you are traveling through, definitely worth the stop.

The people are friendly, & the food and coffee are good. Its usually a good, but loud, atmosphere.This is the one business in the building that is somewhat wheelchair accessable. Theres a table when you come in that could probably fit two wheelchairs comfortably (but near a walkway), but youd have to call up to the staff just up the stairs.The restroom looks like its completely inaccessible.Its an older building, the kind visit likely have to beg the city to do construction on.

A beautiful cafe space with a great variety of drinks. Espresso is delicious as is tue cold brew. There’s plenty of seating with a variety of choices including two person tables, couches, lounge chairs, and stools looking out the window. Definitely the best place in town.

This place is great! Superior coffee, excellent pastries and great customer service! I ordered the Cardigan specialty coffee which has cardamom and vanilla - SO VERY good! Keep your eye out for their Horchata pastry as it is delicious!

The Fat Red latte is delicious! I was surprised and delighted to see that they had a vegan oat bar as well! Decent wifi, and good seating area.

I had to work for couple of hours and this place was just perform to sit and work and enjoy a nice coffee. Plenty of good options. Some very unique and refreshing coffee. I tried thai thai and it was very refreshing combination of lemongrass and coffee. Very friendly staff. And ample of workspace for you to comfortably sit and work. I wish I had more time to explore their menu. A coffee place to win 5 stars from me is tough but this place deserves it all!

The barista was absolutely horrible. No knowledge. Not too friendly. I ended up only buying a bottle of water. Not usually why I visit a coffee house. That was my first and last visit.

Came in, ordered coffee, got an excellent latte made for me and then I was a klutz and spilled my drink. A guy that was not working, but obviously works here cleaned up the drink and had the baristas make me a new latte free of charge.Guys, thats customer service. Go here!! Great coffee.

I can only imagine that this must be the best coffee house in Rapid. I spent a week in town, and went to Pure Bean every morning to start my day. The historic creamery building in which the establishment is situated only adds to the enjoyment. They make great coffees that are carefully prepared and presented. Highly recommended.

My wife and I were traveling last week and went here three mornings in a row. Heather and the rest of the staff were so kind and the breakfast foods, chai lattes, and coffee were delicious!

Locally owned and roasted coffee shops are my favorite and this one is quite possibly the best that Ive encountered on my road trip so far. Cant go wrong with the cold brew and if youre looking for a latte, try the Cardigan.Highly recommend this if youre in the area or passing through!!

We went into Pure Bean for coffee this morning. As usual my husbands coffee was great and I had an excellent hot tea. We so appreciate the friendly service, nice atmosphere, good seating arrangement, usually pretty quiet.

Looking for a coffee roaster on our travels and found Pure Bean. The service is exceptional! Loved the baristas suggestion. Made just the way I like it. Also, bought some of there beans to take home. They were so nice to even grind some beans for my camping trip.

The BEST coffee youll get in South Dakota - or dare I say, anywhere. If coffee usually bothers your stomach due to the acidity, Pure Beans acidity is very low, so say goodbye to upset tummy! They have great staff who know their stuff and make you feel right at home.

I really love the coffee and the atmosphere here! Ive always had friendly service and a good experience at Pure Bean.Although absolutely none of the baristas are currently wearing masks, Ive seen this the last several times Ive been there... social norms have changed and going to a coffeehouse and being served by baristas with no facial coverings makes me uncomfortable.I realize that masks are not comfortable, but health experts say the evidence is clear that masks can help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and that the more people wearing masks, the better. If thats the least we can do to help, then I cant really understand why its not something that isnt done.I wont be coming back for a while due to this reason, and I would like to let others know, and I will be letting others know, that this places does not follow CDC recommendations of wearing a cloth face covering as a measure to help protect others.

This is one of my favorite cafes. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is very cozy. They display art made by local artists, so there is almost always something new on their walls every time I go. Their food is great and their coffee is excellent. I dont go very often but after about the third time, they started referring to me by my name.

Staff was very friendly and fast! We went on their recommendations for coffee, ended up with a cold brew with great flavor and the Cardigan, a hot semi-sweet vanilla coffee. Cool atmosphere, great coffee- delicious apple muffins. So glad we stopped here before our hiking adventures for the day.

The staff here were super friendly in the way that they seemed to be trying to get to know you well enough to help you… but not be pushy. Perfect!My iced vanilla latte was pretty good… though their espresso was a bit more bitter than I prefer. It was well made though.The quiche was a disappointment though. I ate the veggie quiche… and it seemed to lack any seasoning or flavor. It definitely could have done with some peppers and onions or something.

Ordered a vegan sandwich, cost around $10 and it came obviously pre-made and refrigerated for hours or days. the bread was wet and soggy and food was not fresh at all. black coffee was somehow not great.the baristas were nice, no complaints about service. definitely felt like a waste of money.

This place is so neat! Their handcrafted drinks have unexpected twists, but theyre so delicious! Even their pastries are different (try the lavender scones). Great place to visit with friends or study for school. Its a few blocks from downtown, which makes parking that much easier. If you havent been here yet, I highly recommend it!

Amazing coffee! We got the Fat Red and the Cardigan, both delicious and not too sweet. The hanging art was wonderful to look at, and accentuated the warm urban feel to the space. The owner, barista, and baker were all very friendly! 10/10 will come back when we are in town.

Great coffee, but when it comes to Pure Bean being prepared, theyre not. 75% of the time I go in to get a cup of coffee, the bean I choose has maybe a half cup left and I have the option of getting a cup of something I wasnt interested in, ordering a $6 latte, or waiting God knows how long to receive a cup of coffee so hot that I would end up waiting even longer to be able to enjoy a cup of coffee. Sucks, because I really like their coffee, but Im not sure how often Ill be going back.

Amazing coffee, great atmosphere!

Watching the preparation, it is clear why they do such a great job. With care they made each of our drinks. In house drinks are served in ceramic and glass. The expresso was served with a side of sparkling water! We greatly enjoyed our visit.

Strong coffee game for sure. Good single origin drip coffee and an excellent cortado (8 oz) pulled from a Mod Bar (I think?) My only (very minor) complaint is the bags of coffee have no indication of their roast date, so it’s hard to commit to buying a bag of beans, but overall I would definitely come back for coffee and a cookie.

Really great espresso and milk steaming. I got a cappuccino that was velvety and flavorful, and an espresso that was bright but not sour or bitter. The drip brews are also quite good. Cool vibes and friendly staff too.

This is my favorite coffee house in Rapid City. Their coffee is the best! Usually I do not order lattes because they are too sugary but I have take the plunge here. Their unusual latte flavors like rosemary honey are not too sweet. Coffee forward as they say. The food selections have increased and are very delicious. No mass production here. All fresh baked. This is my go to place after Sunday morning yoga. Not too crowded on Sunday morning. I love it.

My wife and I love to check out local coffee places and get a local feel. We found Pure Bean Coffeehouse since it was close to the hotel that we were staying at. The coffee here is fantastic and they have a wide range of options and types of coffee as well. The Hepburn was absolutely delicious!

I was traveling this area and craving a good pour over coffee. The hotel coffee does not work will with me. Googled coffee roasters near me and found this placeI had a very good pour over coffee, tasty, it hits your brain instantly and produces a since of tranquilityYeah and it was only the coffee 😇

Nice atmosphere for doing work or having a nice conversation. Hot chocolate was good. Dont cause too much commotion, but otherwise its good. The amount of outlets is definitely helpful.

Best American I had in the Black Hills. I went by myself. I spent $4.61 after a $1 tip. The barista was friendly and we chatted about while they made my coffee. The seating and atmosphere is great for getting a little work done on your laptop. If you need a coffee shop in Rapid City, this is the best choice. Would highly recommend.
