Slumberland was my third stop in searching for furniture to replace that we sold when moving back home to SD. I had picked out a brand and style and was hoping to find what we were looking for. Tammy was very helpful and the kind of salesperson I like, not pushy, honestly answering if she had or could get sometime I was looking for. I went back later in the day with my husband and we asked more questions about putting different pieces together. Tammy quickly verified with the company we could get the pieces we liked. She carefully helped her on to various mattresses, gave us some great health information, and took the time to make sure she was comfortable with the remote. I used to work here. was hoping to get my last paycheck today as it is Payday there. was told it wasnt there and I have to wait till Monday. under South Dakota law my paycheck has to be available at the next payday after I quit. this was the next payday. guess I need to call around for attorneys.

I try to buy local, but when stuff like this happens, its tough. I tried to return a mattress I had for less than a day because it is too firm. Tammy helped me out, was nice, but there was misinformation given to me when I purchased the mattress. She even attested to this. Now, I cant return it because its custom (California King). Steve, the manager, basically said Im lying because Tammy has worked there so long, he knows she would have told me the return policy before purchasing. He did offer a topper, and that didnt help my situation either, but thats not my argument. I bought the topper with full knowledge of its non-returnable policy. Its the matttess thats the problem. Misleading information. I was told the bed was in stock and could be delivered on Friday. Then I was told the mattress wasn’t in stock and it would be the next week, so I would need to pick up myself if needed before the next delivery date. Then the day before the adjustable base was to be delivered I was called and told it wouldn’t arrive before the delivery truck left for delivery’s. This is for my sick mother. No options were given to accommodate my emergent situation. I feel it was a bate and switch. Will Never buy anything from them again!!

Stopped in for a last minute Mother’s Day Gift, the two women who helped me were wonderful! I was able to load it in the truck and surprise my wife. Slumberland saved the day.

We have gone to every single furniture store in rapid and everyone was soooo pushy and only wanted to make a sale! The experience at slumberland was exactly what we were looking for! It didnt feel gross and salesy when we went in. But if we had questions they were there to answer them! We ended up finding the perfect couch for a great price and the customer service was amazing! Never going to shop anywhere else for furniture!!

Tammy was very helpful and allowed us to do our shopping on our own and occasionally checked on us. She didn’t hover, which I really appreciate. She was very informative about the product we bought and made sure I completely understood where my money was going before I payed. Their insurance company is a joke. Too bad because I do like the furniture and store employees.

They have a lot of items to look for and a clean environment. The reason I am giving 3 stars is because it took about 10 minutes for them to greet us (we were the only ones in the store during this time). We found a couch we fell in love with and picked out a few more items that matched that couch (took about 30 minutes), only to be told when we went to buy them that the couch had already been sold. It did not have a sold tag on it. We ended up leaving without anything to check out some of the other stores in town. But the prices were absolutely outstanding and the staff were nice to us. One even went so far to call and see if that couch (which was discontinued) was at a warehouse.

Excellent service! Found what I was looking for and at a great price. I’m in the middle of a cross state move and they we willing to hold on to my purchase until I’m ready to have it delivered to my new place. I will shop there again!

We received an old motorized recliner from a friend for my father who needed it to help him in and out of the chair. It was missing a part to make it work. Larry at Slumberland went way above and beyond to help us get this part. Because it was so old, it took a while and some tracking down to find the right part for this chair. Larry persisted in finding this part for us and now my father has his working motorized chair. He didn’t have to put in all the effort to track this down for us, and of course he made nothing on the deal. He just found us his part so he could help us out, and we are very grateful to have run across Larry at slumberland.
