This store is wonderful! The craftsmanship and time that goes into creating all of the gorgeous artwork and items for sale is astounding. I love that most of the things for sale here are Native created. The bios posted of some of the artists was fascinating as well. Highly recommend a stop here.

This shop is HUGE and has a phenomenal art gallery upstairs; including a collection of Native American beads in all different materials and colors. You’d have to see it to believe it. It felt like an honor just seeing them. Also lots of affordable and unique gifts to buy. We were tempted to grab the deer antler cribbage board but didn’t know how to fly it home. Maybe next time

This place is impressive!! Its almost like a museum as much as a store... A young girl was making a beaded craft at one end of the store. They had a variety of Lakota artisan made pottery and crafts, headdresses, and so much! Also some typical souvenir Christmas items and normal gift shop offerings. Some clothing, too. And a rare book area in the back. I would recommend a visit for sure!!

This place is so cute and has something for everyone! Instruments, stuffed animals, beautiful shirts, books, and so much more! We had the nicest worker help us out. Lanelle helped my boyfriend pick out a really cool flute and was so kind. She was very knowledgeable about the instruments. Even better, she remembered us the next day and wished us safe travels back home.

This was a unexpected surprise! We got there before they opened because we were going to the shop next door and happened upon this place. There was a gentleman watering the flowers outside and he was getting ready to go inside and we asked if he could possibly let us go in early because we would be gone before the store officially opened. To our surprise he did and was very gracious allowing samples and telling us all about their wine! Bought a bottles and 2 wine glasses to bring back to my elderly parents ( father retired after 34 years as a fireman) and 5 bottles for us. Thank you to the guy who allowed us a great experience.

All of the Native American things are very neat to look at, but the art is too pricey for being prints and not originals. After asking if they were originals and being told yes, and then just to turn around and get there to find out they were prints, very underwhelming. Staff needs to all on the same page when it comes to selling the art and knowing what is an original and what is a print.

I ordered online and haven’t been in the shop yet (but will certainly visit next time I’m in Rapid City). The online ordering process was user-friendly and the order processed quickly. I was pleased that they sell braids of sweetgrass and have ordered them for our home as well as for my daughter. They are beautiful and simple and full our living room with its clean, pure, and gentle scent. I have already ordered some to be sent to my daughter in LA. I have no reason to hesitate if giving Prairie Edge Trading Co. 5 stars. I’ll be back.

This place has the largest selection of Native American crafts and artifacts in town. It’s worth visiting due to its variety and authenticity. Things could be costly, but that’s how Native Americans make a living. You can always buy cheaper stuff from eBay, but they could be made somewhere else, especially nothing about the real Sioux people. So, if you like Native American stuff, stick to the real thing.

Today 04/16/2021 I went to Prairie Edge because it was recommended by another local Merchant in Downtown Rapid City.It was the first time I had ever been to Prairie Edge since first moving to the Rapid City area in 1996!!!!Now I know why!!!!I have never been so insulted and disrespected in my life by a local Merchant as I was today.Prairie Edge will never ever see any of my hard earned money and I will never step into Prairie Edge again. So much for all the thousands of dollars we spend on advertising to shop locally!!!!Not me!!!

This is a nice place to shop, and I have shopped here for years. Today when we went in, even though our state is open, they asked us if we would wear a mask. When one of us stated that she could not, they said that we could not shop there without one. I will not shop here again until they drop the requirement. There are a large number of people here, visiting stores that do this.

Astonishing is rarely used lightly. And in this case its appropriate not only for the friendly staff, the amazing gifts, and true magic art rather Astonishing is that the town lives up to the pride I felt buying a belt, some works of art, a couple gifts for someone special, and ofcourse some vanity items for myself. Id love to describe the vibrant handcrafted colorful Native art but it speaks volumes on its own. Theres a Zen sand window that I missed. Ill have to go back. Culture, pride, and purpose.. plus some magic rugs on the second floor. 🦊🌟💝

What a wonderful place to spend time. We were searching for true Native American made items and we got that and much more. The one cashier women was so knowledgeable and so very friendly (they all were), but we kept going back to her to ask questions. I told her I was looking for a gift for my mother and gave her a little bit of information and she helped me stay in my price range and find the perfect gift. She even wrapped it well to help travel safely in one piece. I loved shopping while listening to the native music too. Thank you to Prairie Edge Trading Company. This stop made our trip even better.
