This was my first time in Michaels here in Rapid City. It was a great experience. The employees provided an excellent customer service experience and there was a great selection for everything I was looking for!

Very helpful staff, looked for a picture frame, found what I needed, awesome store.

NEVER get put on hold.‼️They do not come back.I called and was put n hold for Over 10 minutes.I hung up and called back. Another 10 minutes.I called back. I was put on hold. This time I waited 47 minutes.Once more I called and was immediately put on hold. 25 min later I hung up.HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ‼️

Went in to get some plate holders. They have a lot of things you can buy to make the store was clean and the employees was friendly, courteous and polite.

Michaels has a fantastic selection of art and craft supplies, and theyre all fairly priced! As a creator, its really nice to find somewhere where I can get whatever it is I need, from the high-quality colored pencils, markers, paints, pencils and pens, to sculpting tools and clay, to leather tools, yarns, inks, and décor as well! And their loyalty program is actually really good.

Always fun shopping for craft supplies. I think I prefer the other store.

All of the workers were really nice and helpful. However, many of the shelves were empty and it was not very easy to find things. They also were putting a ton of things on clearance and once those were gone they didnt bring anything more in. I know this isnt the employees fault or business. It just makes it a pain when you go looking for fairly common items just to be told they clearance them out.

I really liked the stores layout,options and tidiness. The only reason I gave it 1 less star is not one employee talked to me and they were listening to music with headphones in both ears. Cashier barely made a customer service attempt

They didnt have what we came for (c- clips for rubber band looms) but when my daughter lost her new toy in the store, the manager was so helpful and kind.

Love the place. Everything crafty you can imagine. Could spend hours in there.

Picked up a curbside order of yarn!! Had to run in and but a couple more too!!!

Im really into drawing,coloring and they have a huge selection of pens, sharpies, paints, paint markers, etc also they have a decent amount of paracord supplies too which is a new hobby

Michaels is a craft store go to place. Pretty much always find what I need in the store and everyone is friendly.

Amazing atmosphere, great customer service, I love going in and if I need help finding something the employees go above and beyond to help me find whatever Im looking for, I love this store because of how at home it feels when you first walk in and how your welcome right away

The store is is nice and helpful but dont order on line. Placed an order 17 November..got my tracking information on 20 Nov but numbers didnt work contacted them and was told oh I can see it you will get an update shortly. Called on 24, 27, 28 November and reps told me its out and will be delivered 1 December. Called on 1 December and was told oh not they were wrong its still processing or might be lost but she would send out a new order 2 day shipping (2 days later) no order nothing processed and the rep told me you will have it tonight I said I need a track number he told me that UPS is sorting the packages and will give number when done, explained that they generate ups tracking when they print lable. Now order will be here on the 9th of December, almost 1 month later for a project I need done by 13th and need 10 days for product to cure before handling. NO ONE CARES they all lie to get you off the phone. Stick to Amazon or Hobby Lobby.

Great selection if you like crafts or arts! Prices are reasonable and they often have sales and coupons. I go to Michaels to get supplies for making jewelry and my artwork. The one negative thing I see consistently is a lack of cashiers. Today I was in line behind 3 people and there were 3 more people behind me and there was only 1 cashier and she was very slow both in checking out customers and in asking for more cashiers.

The store shelves are always full. Something of a novel idea during a pandemic 😊

I love Michaels. They offer so many sales. Discounts on everything throughout the year. I bought the cricut easy press around Christmas half off. They have a large supply of all of my personal craft needs. Its a great store.

I just went in to buy a gift card. I did look around a bit and they seemed to have a good collection of craft stuff. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The staff is always very friendly and the store selection is restocked often. While looking for wedding decorations, there were a few things I needed more of, one of the workers went above and beyond to tell me when the truck would come in with more so that I knew when to come back. I love making wreaths and other decor from their artificial flowers.

Had a nice experience with these people. I went in looking for an item that they didnt have. The manager actually phoned other local businesses, at his initiative, to see if anyone else in town stocked it. Thats real, old-fashioned service!

I found some great deals, even though they didnt have what I originally went in there for.

When I went to the front on 5/29 around 4pm they had ONE cashier and the supervisor could see the line yet kept ignoring it. The cashier was slow and unhelpful. One of my items rang up wrong and I informed the cashier and she jusf stared at me. So I had to go back and get the price myself. Once I did the 20-something manager finally came over and said she couldnt fix the price bc it was too much of a difference. It was marked wrong and not my fault! I was spending $150 and not looking for a steel. The cashier continued to slowly check me out which was Irritating. At the end I had a coupon and told her the code she said well do you gave the varicose and I said well I dont see it so she grabbed her phone (which was right next to her hand and now I see why there was no help in the store) and said well its online somewhere. Not helpful at all.The 4th of July spinner I bought for $10 immediately unraveled when we put it in the lawn once we got home so my hubby went to return it the next day. The supervisor again eventhough we had a receipt saif its seasonal and cant be returned. Wth? It broke 10 seconds after I put it in the ground!Ive never had such a bad experience at a store before.

Whats not to love? Everything you need for your crafting hobbies under one roof. Always great sales and the staff is very friendly.

Eh.... Asked for help and I think I knew the layout of the store better then the lady that attempted to try to help meThey have a lot here and it is good quality for the most part, I will keep coming back but my expectations have been lowered as far as staff.

They have just about everything you need and want for arts & crafts, hobbies, decorations, and more. Ive spent hundreds of dollars on custom quality frames that would have cost me thousands elsewhere. I love this place

Michaels is a great craft store, and the only one thats open somewhat late. It has a wide selection of products and the staff are friendly. Overall Id recommend this location highly.

This place was clean and very well organized. I had a question about where I could find kids sewing kits. The lady that helped me knew exactly where to go and helped me find the perfect set!

My experience at Michaels was great. The staff at the register was helpful and cheery. Truly one of my favorite stores to visit here in Rapid City.

This store is perfect for creative types. I can lose myself in the wide variety of art forms, dreaming up what I could do with what Ive found. The staff are eternally helpful and asked often if Im finding everything I need.

Staff not friendly or helpful and no longer take competitor coupons and when I said something at the register to the cashier, she didnt even try to help by offering their coupons to help cover full cost...left the items and no plan to go back

Of the two employees I needed help from one was super helpful... the other not so much but overall it was a relatively pleasant shopping experience.

Not much of an art oriented person but was pleased with the selection of items available during my visit. I purchased a few coloring books, colored pencils, and a basket. All of the items were of good quality; however, the coloring books all turned out to be on Amazon, averaging $5 cheaper per book. I did some investigating and it turns out they will only price match local competitors with physical stock (not online), so no matching Amazon.I will still go here if its a matter of convenience, but I will wait for an online order next time. Still a good store.

Sneaky clearance items galore!

I went in to Michaels looking for latch hook rug supplies, not really knowing what I was doing. I asked for help from one of the sales people and she showed me all my options for yarn (which is very confusing if you never buy yarn). Overall great shopping experience!

It seems their yarn section is getting smaller and smaller. They dont carry any of the colors I need anymore. I havent been able to get my yarn there in almost a year
