I love Dollar General, but I wish they had a bigger building. The one in Thomasboro is much more roomier. The employees in Rantoul have always been very helpful and polite.The amount of money I spend there, they could afford a bigger place...lol.

[IF YOURE PENNY, READ THIS]When I was there, I used coupons but they only would work with certain colors (makes sense) most stores do that. I was using the yellow spot coupons, I was trying to get clothes with a yellow dot, but penny comes in and tells me you have the wrong yellow and Im just confused why they have more than one yellow, they did put the clothes on sign that mentions the coupons. When I was told that I had the wrong yellow it wasnt just like a simple mistake that I made, it was like she thought I was stupid. But the man ringing us up, (yes I know they have similar names) Kenny was really nice and helped me get the wrong yellow out of my order. So Penny, if youre reading this, GO TO HELL.

This store has gone from a dirty mess to a clean orderly store. I have shopped in there more in the last month than I have since living in Rantoul for over 5yr. To be completely open, the new manager is my foster daughter. However, if the store was still in the shape it was, I still would not shop there.

The savings are good on certain things. You have to pay attention, some things are not a good deal.

Bought a lighter from this store and it didnt work so i went back and they replaced it no questions asked, quick and easy. pretty nice little store for your random needs.
