Been going here forever years to get my smog I would highly recommend them for smog certification.... but if they are going to do any mechanical work better get the quote in writing and get a crystal clear understanding on how long the repair will take

Found these guys doing a Google search for smog check near me. They seemed the most reasonably priced and close by. In and out in ten minutes and only $30 complete, including certificate. Very happy. No BS trying to raise the price over their website quoted price.

My truck did not pass smog due to a compression test failure from two cylinders and Albert confirmed I needed a valve job I was putting off until now. I checked around and found Reliable Smog Repair to be the most reasonable and guarantee it would pass smog after needed repairs were done. Then I needed transmission work and after checking around and with our own mechanic, Albert was reasonable as well and even adjusted his price when I informed him of other quotes as I getting. Not wanting to take a chance with anyone else, I went with Albert. He diagnosed the tranny and found it was did not need to be replaced or rebuilt as originally thought. which saved me over $500 and I am very satisfied with the results! He is more than a smog repair shop! He is honest and I highly recommend him!

1. Did the pre-smog test suggested and was told my car didnt pass2. Asked if he could fix the problem and he recommended I replace 2 sensors, which he offered to do. Once done, he said the car passed the smog check. I took the paper work to DMV only to have them say it actually failed.3. I returned upset that he led me on and was told he used the wrong part and that another would have to be ordered, but he would deduct the price of the old part he used. Some time later the part arrived and I was told an additional $80 dollars would be charged in that the part was more expensive.4. He did the test and it STILL failed. His excuse? I dont like working on Nissans. They are complicated. then blamed ME for his incompetence!!After shelling out about $400 dollars with no results, I say to anyone who is considering taking their car to Reliable Smog to think twice. The man is rude, guesses at what is causing the problem (even after he did a diagnostic test for which he charged a generous amount) and then leaves you broke. Avoid his business at all costs or your costs will be more than you bargained for.
