I loved this book store! Laid out very well and I didn’t feel overwhelmed. The sections were labeled well. The kids section is adorable! The staff was super friendly, I overheard a few conversations when other guests asked for help and they were very knowledgeable! I normally buy my books through my iPad but I wanted to support this store because I loved it so much so I purchased a paperback book for the first time in years!

Beautifully done. Well decorated and lots of really nice books. What more do you need? Great seating. They got this too! Seriously, if you want to meander through a bookstore or search for a good read this is YOUR place! Stop in and check it out!

My favorite bookstore to shop at! The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is incredibly kind. They have a special section just for childrens books that creates a welcoming environment. I do wish the young adult section was a bit bigger, but they have an amazing selection of books to choose from! The staff has a variety of recommendations for multiple genres and those are always fun to look through. This bookstore is amazing and is a store that shoppers must visit at North Hills!

The main reason Im leaving a review is due to the inclusiveness of this store and its unique selection of books. Quail Ridge Books offers not only Christian books but Islamic, Judaism, Eastern practices & the Metaphysical and its all under ONE label - Religion. I greatly appreciate their including old world practices under the Religion category. Most mainstream bookstores (lookin at you Barnes & Noble) keep the Metaphysical and Christianity separate, labeling one as a Religion and the other as self transformation.If you are looking for a bookstore with a wide selection of Metaphysical books, what they have to offer is outstanding. They have someone who personally curates the Metaphysical and mythology sections so I saw plenty of new books Id never seen in other stores. Definitely check it out. Also, their LGBTQIA+ section is pretty big compared to other stores Ive been in.To sum up, this is a cute little store thats cozy and welcoming no matter who or what you are! Its got plenty of tiny reading nooks and an area for kids. Youll feel right at home, lost among the books at Quail Ridge.

Absolutely love this place. Please support small businesses!Their sale selection is pretty great, found a few great deals there. I also love the fact you can order books online to get delivered here for pickup. So even if you dont necessarily find what you originally came looking for, youll get lost in even better choices and can order it online from here. Ive stayed in the store for awhile reading due to the great selection they have.

I have never been inside a cuter book store. They have a great selection of books, old and new, in a wide variety of genres. Their children’s section is super sweet. In some of the books for both adults and children, they have little staff pick book marks which I found so nice. You can really tell that they thought of their customers every step of the way! Their staff is friendly and helpful! Every visit has been a wonderful experience!

This is my favorite bookstore, bar none. It is locally owned, quaint and has quite the impressive selection of books. They carry a nice array of different topics of books, too. To me that is very important. From It by Stephen King to the Holy Bible, you can find it here. I could spend hours browsing in here, no joke. There is an admittedly smaller second level. In addition, they carry journals and other such things (i.e.- bags, socks, calendars, etc.). Last but not least, the staff is always helpful and friendly. They do a great job of striking the balance between being helpful but not being overbearing. 10/10. I would highly recommend Quail Ridge Books. I’ll be back when it’s time for me to buy some new books!

Great bookstore! The mystery section is well-stocked and has a lot of variety, including cozy mysteries. I enjoyed my time there, and Ill returning again.

There’s a sign on the front door the says “humans over the age of 2 must wear masks” Walked in, and the lady asked us if we had masks and we said no and then she said you have to wear one and I said I don’t identify as a human and she replied very “respectfully” “ehhhh, that’s not going to work” first off don’t tell what I can and can’t identify as and second show some care and respect and treat your customers like they are humans. The lady had short reddish hair and looked about 30, get her out of there and get Someone who is trying to make your company better, acts like an adult and not an immature child, and shows respect towards customers.

Be sure to call before you go, if looking for specific book as the website is not up to date. Wasted trip on a busy Saturday. But the store is very nice and staff helpful.

I was extremely impressed with this book store! Its really nice to see that there are still independently owned little shops like this. Walking in through the door I was taken into a magical space that you would see in the movies. There were chandeliers in Harry Potter brooms hanging from the ceiling. It had such a good vibe extremely friendly staff and great selection. I cant wait to go back!

I can’t get enough of this place! The staff are so friendly and helpful. They remember their customers and are always willing to chat about books. They have an amazing selection. During the hight of COVID it was one of the few places I felt safe going in. I could spend all day in here! 10/10.

We love Quail Ridge Books and were very sad when it moved from the Ridgewood Shopping Center to North Hills because of the distance. We visited today for the first time since their move. We love the new concept, though it does feel a little big boxish and it looks like they really cut back on some of their offerings. Ill be back, but probably only if Im in the area.

Quail Ridge is amazing. Helpful employees, great safety precautions right now, and awesome selection. The shop feels cozy, yet has so many different genres and books. Love it so much. The pick up service is also amazing and easy. Thankful for local bookstores! I will be back again and again.

My 4-year-old absolutely loved the childrens section and made​ himself quite at home. The place kept most of the charm from its previous incarnation. They still get plenty of popular authors at book signings. We will be visiting again for sure.

Great shop, customer service and collection of books in a world where bookshops are endangered species

This shop is beautiful and filled with a wonderful variety of books, cards and gifts. I recommend going during the slower days and times if you want to take your time browsing in a quieter atmosphere.This is also a really great bookstore to bring children to. The childrens section has a nice array of options, and there is space for kids to sit as they check out that section of the store.The staff are friendly, well-read and super helpful. Quail Ridge is a sound example of finding all you could hope for in a bookshop.

Qual Ridge Books organizes a lot of really great events that really help elevate my experience. The store itself is extremely cute and the staff have always been great. I do a lot of my book shopping at used book stores but always make a point to stop by here as well.

Quail Ridge Books has done a great job in providing online shopping options. I have ordered books from the online shop multiple times over the past year. Love this bookstore! Even with Black Friday and holiday shopping, the folks here were very clear about their requirements for shoppers: wear a mask and wash your hands. They were limiting how the number of customers so that everyone could have a safe and comfortable shopping experience, and the staff was very helpful as we looked around. Great place to go if youre looking for a special book!

Very clean and well maintained!

When I was there on a semi busy Saturday only 1 staff member seemed to know where anything was. She was running crazy.The store is small, has events. Im not sure if they have a book club. They carry some gift items, nothing really unique, but nice pens, mugs, journals etc. No refreshment hang out spot. Was more of a get in, get what you want and leave kind of place. I felt frustrated.Also, cookbook in Religion. Does author truly have a cult following, or did store just run out of room? (Jk) The store is pretty inside, it just didnt say stay to me. Check their website for events and book signings. Ill be back for those. They do offer discounts to educators, so teachers and homeschoolers be sure to ask. I believe if there is a book they dont carry they will be happy order it for you. Find a knowledgeable staff member to ask.

Always a fan of this local bookstore! I have ordered books in every way - via browsing in store, pickup from an online order and media mail shipping. They are so kind and have excellent book recommendations. They are also taking COVID precautions seriously and I so appreciate that.

The look inside of this bookstore is wonderful and eclectic. It reminds me of a bookstore youd see in a fantasy novel such as Harry Potter. The selection wasnt the best, but the prices were what I would expect to pay, and the organization of the store made sense.

Awesome book store. It is very nicely set up and have a large selection. I enjoy coming here whenever I come to north hills. They have a Children section and a upstairs with magazine and other Misc books. They also have these awesome little matchbox with book covers! I wish they would have more firearm related offerings such as magazine or books as I could not find any.

Wow! Going to Quail Ridge Books is like stepping into a utopian world.For her sixth birthday, my daughter received a gift card to Quail Ridge Books. I had never been to Quail Ridge Books before so when my daughter and I walked in, I mentioned that we needed some help. The lady that greeted us showed us where to find the kids books and introduced us to Ms Abbie as well. Ms Abbie was so helpful! She asked my daughter questions to find out what interested her and then pulled many options for her to look at and choose from. It was truly a magical experience! Ms Abbie also hosted Story Time after she helped my daughter.I was so impressed with the service we received at Quail Ridge Books. It was truly one of the best shopping experiences I have ever had. It is no wonder that Quail Ridge Books has been able to outlast the consolidation that has consumed so many bookstores.

Quail Ridge is a holdout independent bookstore that has made a name for itself in the area and facilitated a warm and enthusiastic community of readers. Authors seem to love to read here, and it is an intimate venue for their audience. Quail Ridge Books offers Saturday morning childrens story time and hosts a number of book clubs throughout the month. They are a very special place for readers and writers.

This local book shop will always get my $. Super helpful, knowledgeable staff and great selections. They have a wide range of all types of genres of literatur.

I feel like Im stepping into a bookstore where the stories have escaped their bindings. It has a familiar enough feel to it to easily navigate while taking a creative flourish to make you feel like youre somewhere special. My youngest son LOVES to visit and we always end up taking home a new adventure for him.

I love this bookstore! Everyone is very nice and helpful. They have a great selection of books and wonderful gifts, too. The home and architecture section happens to be my favorite! It is a cozy store that one will want to spend hours going through everything.

Top notch! By far the best book store Ive been in, in a long time! I love Barnes and Noble but Quail Ridge books is number one in customer service and knowledge and you fill the warmth of customer service the minute you walk in. The childrens selection is outstanding!

First time at the new location what an AMAZING place! A book lovers dream. I thought I had been transported into the tree house from the Mary Pope Osborne Series, The Magic Tree House! An absolutely wonderful atmosphere with staff that never stop smiling and interacting with the patrons. I wanted to find a book, a corner, a blanket, and stay for the afternoon! Thank you Quail Ridge Books, for continuing to uphold the tradition of bookstores. Im a customer for life now, and am so happy to be browsing in a bookstore instead of on my phone for books again.

Local bookstore that just recently expanded. The atmosphere is relaxing and they have great books. I have always gone to quail ridge for school books and gifts since I was very little. The service is great and the employees always have recommendations for any genre youre interested in.

Stopped in last week with my 5-yr-old grandson to find begging readers similar to his new favorite, Bird Man. The consultant in the childrens section was more than just knowledgeable: she took time to patiently ask my grandson about his preferences and past reads. We came away with Bad Guys, several suggestions for the Easter Bunny, and an overall pleasant experience.
