I have always loved hobby lobby but my last visit was notable. Me & a friend spent over 2 hours wondering and gathering items for my toddlers Tarzan costume I was making. Everyone in the store was awesome help, answered many questions, pointed us to the right area, and even took us to correct aisles when we couldnt follow simple directions lol upon checkout I realized I had laid my wallet down somewhere. Several employees helped me search for upward of 20 minutes before an employee found it in one of the first aisles we shopped in. My mild heart attack subsided & we was able to finish making our purchase by paying for our items. My day (actually week) could have made a turn for the worse but thankfully it didnt 😁

I have never been mistreated in a Hobby Lobby till today 08.09.21, at the fabric counter the girl was not happy with the lady she was currently serving and took it out on me (maybe cos Im black or she just has the wrong job). She threw my fabric at me. I walked till I saw a manager spoke to him and Im absolutely positive he did nothing about it.I have one of the best attitude, love and appreciation for all things craft. So any craft store is like Disneyland for me, Hobby you just need to come to Macomb!

Good selection. However, as usual prices are inflated beyond comparable quality and selection at other retailers. Percentage sales offset this to make it closer to other stores but still higher than most. Most people that shop there understand and expect this. New shoppers will have sticker shock.

Always has nice employees and I can always find something I need for a project or decorating a room! They have everything someone who is feeling artsy needs or if you want to try new things with baking!

Updating my orgional review: sadly Ive now seen first hand one of my friends designs ripped off by hobby lobby. And they stole another cross stitch designers pattern as well. Shameful + unethical.They have a better selection of jewelry making supplies + cross stitch/embroidery supplies then Joanns however the coupons arent as great. I come here because it is the only store in Quincy that carries DMC 1-35 and DMC varigated. I do like the storage options + candles but my biggest issue with HL is that anything that has an employee placed price tag has varying prices on the same items. Here is an example picture I took today in the store. All the same yarn, all the same color, all from the same bin. Each of the 3 skeins has a different price. Fyi the 2 I bought both rang up $6.49 (one was priced $5.99) And aside from that I had to remind the cashier to apply the stated discount in the ad/store didplays to the jewelry making supplies today.Summary more selection than Joanns but less coupons, pricing issues and cashiers must be reminded to honor posted sales.*** I also once around Feb 2018 had a custom framing denied to me because the subject manner of my item did not align with the companies values, however one of the nice employees from the framing department later caught up to me in the store and helped teach me what to buy to frame it myself with their supplies because that employee felt bad I was turned away. That employee showing ne that kindness helped retain me as a customer after being rudely turned away by a higher up in the framing department. I did buy the supplies I was shown by that employee there and no longer try to get anything framed at Hobby Lobby because I dont want the embarrassment of being turned away again/to give money to a department that treats long time customers like that. ***

Hands down my favorite place to shop for art supplies or nice decorations for the house. They usually have sales going on that are pretty good deals. They have things in there that I didnt even know I needed until I went in, which self control comes in handy. Wont be disappointed if you shop here.

They have alot of craft products but didnt have neon yellow permanent vinyl that I was looking for to make some boat registration numbers.

Hobby Lobby is the best place to fine decorations for your home. We regularly visit to see what new seasonal items have come in. there is also a wonderful clearance section that we frequent to explore deals. I also appreciate the fact that they s are closed on Sunday.

Make sure you bring money with you if you plan on entering here. You will definitely buy something. Home decor? Craft lovers paradise. My only complaint is their clearance aisle is broken goods at almost full cost.

Overall good experience every time I come in. Associates can be few and far between though if I have a question I usually have to search for someone. It is a big store though, so I imagine it can be hard to have someone in every department all the time.

This hobby lobby is very nice. Friendly staff and always very helpful when needed. They also let you shop and do not ask you every 5 seconds if your okay so that you can shop in peace.

Place has a really good selection of arts and crafts. The selection here is very extensive for almost everything you need to decorate your home. The staff never looks happy to be here but at least they have a day of the week they are guaranteed off.

Absolute mess in Quincy. Why have coupon availability on Facebook if you cant access it in the store? And why are other customers in line allowed to jam-up in the check out lines so you cannot access your own cart? Our purchases were left on the counter today, and we will seek another means to obtain crafting items

This is a corporate decision and NOT the fault of the Quincy Illinois store. I went there yesterday to purchase custom mats from the framing department. When I asked for the price using a 40% off coupon, I was told this item is now excluded. So it was going to cost $48.00 for a double mat. Needless to say, I walked out of the store without purchasing. I found a wonderful custom framing shop in Canton, MO. The owner is delightful, has many years experience, and the price for the exact same mats that are $48.00 at Hobby Lobby are $22.80 at her shop. Even with 40% off, the price is less expensive. I will support a local business. I hope corporate decision to try to make more money comes back to bite them in the rear end. I hope many more people will walk out of the store. Do not let corporate America screw you over!

My go to store for everything. Crafts, flowers, wedding supplies, material, paintings, art supplies, Bibles and so very much more! Furniture too! Always a sale! I love their blown glass and knickknacks. This is a must visit shop. Cant say enough good things about it.

When checking out the young man said they dont give gift receipts. This time of year everyone wants a gift receipt for gift cards. If he doesnt know how to do that then the store needs to train the cashiers better.

Everything here is really cute but very over priced. I assume only rich people shop here to fill their 6 bedroom homes. If you buy one piece at a time in a year you might have a full room decorated. If I was rich Id leave 5 stars.
