The deli dept is more than helpful. My Dr. Put me on a low Sodium diet, the girls who work there read me the labels to see what has the lowest Sodium for me to buy. They didnt make me feel like I was being a pain in the neck. So, shout out to Rachel, Jackie and the lady making the sandwiches that I couldnt read her name badge!

Pretty blah grocery store. Employees are not very helpful. The grab and go meals are absolutely DISGUSTING!!! There are NEVER enough registers open every time Ive been there its a joke! Only two stars because the produce is fairly fresh thats my only positive. I only shop here when its my only option. I do not recommend.

I just moved here and went to this store several times. I would rate zero stars if possible. This is not a safe or welcome space for LGBTQ people. Most of the younger employees are great, but some of the others decidedly are not. I am never treated badly at other stores in town, or--really--anywhere else in the surrounding area. This place stands out. I will spend y money where it is valued by a management who cares enough to train and demand basic respectful behavior of their employees.

Great selection, much more expensive produce then Walmart. I spent over 50 and barely got anything.. They would rather throw food away Expired then to sell it to us at a good price so we can feed ourselves. They are about the profits not about the people. Period!

I usually feel overwhelmed with grocery stores but this one is easy enough to navigate and not too big. The produce is fresh and tasty and our meats always tasted great as well. I go on weekends a lot and check-out lines are very long, which surprises me as Putnam is so small and there are plenty of other grocery stores around in the area. I wish thered be one more cashier on duty on weekends-then it would be a 5-star store to me.

Price Chopper is an excellent place to pick up all your common grocery needs. The store is always clean and well kept. Thier bakery department always has a great selection of in house breads and the deli variety is nice as well. Only for a few specialty items have I had to order online or go to a more specialized store. A great cost effective frocery store with a quality store brand.

Deli department needs to train their staff better. The clerk was rude and argumentative.

Awesome seafood department! Special thank you to Fame for such great service. My lobsters were ready on time and his tips on preparing the Salmon was helpful. They were delicious seasoned and broiled. My husband and I finally found great seafood and service in one place. See you next Friday.

Been shopping here since you opened. After the experience I had today with a kid working the deli Ill never shop here again.i went to complained to his deli manager & as we are speaking he starts yelling and swearing at me. U asked to speak with the store manager whom was apparently off today and I get a young lady named crystal who is the assistant manager who acted like this was ok. She was very unprofessional & had know customer service ethics what so ever. I did make a complaint with corporate giving them all the details and the time the incident happened to they can clearly see what took place in camera. Suppose to here back within 24hrs. If they are as bad as the assistant manager I wont hold my breath.

Fresh produce, quality meat and seafood, and today Patricia in the deli was professional and friendly and sliced me some delicious looking deli meats. If you go during the week they always seem to have plenty of lines open.

Love the 24 hour convenience of the supermarket. Great parking, easy and safe access. This is only one of perhaps 12 - 15 very viable shopping choices in the plaza. Very nice.

Stay away from the seafood section. They sell rotten seafood and dont care. The rest of store is good

I dont know why people are giving bad reviews to the seafood department because I was there this morning and the first thing I noticed was how clean and shiny the display cases are. The glass was spotless and the seafood was presented as if they were filming a commercial. The varieties and freshness were apparent, and there wasnt a hint of a fishy smell. Keep up the good work!

Seafood clerk needs to learn customer service skills. I went to Price Chopper in Putnam this evening specifically for the sale on snow crab. I noticed as I approached the counter, the clerk was starting to put away the items in the case. I asked if he could bring me a pound of snow crab legs-it was 7:50 pm. He said no, sorry and walked away. What a way to loose a sale. Talk about lazy. You need to hire people that actually want to work.

So I was in line at the guest service desk and as was waiting for help I overheard a conversation from bottle room worker Jon, He was complaining that the new person James? was not out side pushing carts and that he shouldnt have too because he was in charge. The women at the desk told Jon that James was emptying trash or something like that and then proceeded to care of my bottle slips. Im only bringing this up because its not the first time Ive seen this level of laziness from Jon he complains to the costumers about his job and proceeds to stand in the bottle room and not work, He never really enforces the rules set forth by you guys letting people cash in way over the bottle return limit.

I do must of my shopping at this store. Even people from massachusetts come shopping here too and they have one closer to them.

I couldnt believe my nose! I was at the Putnam location this afternoon and as I walked toward the paper towels, located across from seafood, I smelled a horrible fish odor. Im a fish lover and know when fish is fresh or spoiled. This was definitely SPOILED fish, not fish that was frying, but bad fish. I smelled it through my mask from across the isle. Im not the only one who noticed this, as a young lady walked by the pharmacy section and commented to her friend that she smells rotted fish. GROSS!!

I do love this store! Fresh baked breads, great deli counter, good looking meats. Not the cheapest store, but then again, none are. AR least you get what you pay for.

Not the most friendliest service but friendly enough. The store always maintains a clean appearance and well organized shelves. The bakery has some good freshly baked breads and bakery items at discounted rates.Lots of parking spaces and great location.

Went to shop there early this morning...went to the deli... and got a major attitude from the deli worker like I was completely bothering her! She was rolling her eyes, and throwing the meat on the meat slicer... not friendly.... very rude and the blue hair was really unprofessional!!! Talked to the store manager who could of cared less about my complaint about this employee. Will not EVER shop there again and will tell everyone I know to boycott that store!

Love price chopper. Open 24 hours very convenient and have clearance bakery items (baked that morning) every night after 1030. They allow anyone to use their store card which can save u lots of $$ and provides coupons. You can also get your own store card and use it to earn rewards.

Yesterday I waited while an industrious associate changed the bin on the can recycling machine. If the store had an empty spare bin, he could have inserted it into the machine as soon as he removed the full bin and I could have begun recycling much sooner. As it was, he took a long time to take the heavy bin to some distant location, empty it and return. Meantime the other can machine was being used.

I love Price Chopper in Putnam.... Saturday... Last day of the flyer... Their staff may be down a bit... things like soup that was $1.00 a can... Shelves were empty in the afternoon when I was there... Maybe they were going to re-shelve soon... Ill go with that... Otherwise, I have no complaint!!!

Its a typical grocery store. Nothing to write home about. Prices are better at the Wally world down the street, but thats to be expected. Parking is ample. Bottle return machines are infamously out of order. The guy servicing them is frequently seen cursing at them. Great if you dont want to drive further to a cheaper store.

Clean and well organized. I had no issue finding what I needed in the store. Deli and fish were quick and polite as well.

I only gave three stars because I used to be able to get, Kayem Skinnies hotdogs here, but the last month or so, they have been out and the stockman had no clue as to when they would be available again. Very dissatisfied.

My go-to store for groceries. The Putnam Bank also has a branch within the store which helps if you want to combine your errands. Located in the center of town, it is easy to find other stores close by when going into town also.

I went to purchase 3 items, at the price chopper. I paid at the self pay checkout. I noticed there were no bags on the side of the counter. I asked one of the worker, where are the bags. She replied, this is the the state of Connecticut, you have to paid for bags. There was no customer service. However, I should have replied to her obviously, Im not from the state of Connecticut. If I were caucasian like her, she wouldnt replied like that.

I really enjoy shopping at this location. I can always find everything I need. The prices tend to be a little higher than Wal-Mart and Stop & Shop, but I find that the quality offsets the extra cost.

Seafood worker tonight helped me greatly during my weekly shopping run i couldnt find where the breadcrumbs are and he happily lead me to them!

I ordered a baptism cake from the Putnam store. The cake was delicious and beautifully decorated. I was very impressed and happy I chose Price Chopper for this occasion. Thank you Putnam bakery!!!

I like running to price chopper if i need something quick, their open 24/7. They have sales always, but some prices are higher then Wal-Mart or other local stores. But they try to do good with sales and deals :)

As is often typical of small-town supermarkets, this Price-Chopper can be a bit of hit-or-miss. But they sometimes have items you cant find in the local Stop&Shop, and vice-versa. The place is rather noisy, but the staff is generally pleasant and helpful.

Price shopper has some great product. Their price are ok, I expected them to be cheaper just due to the name but no. Ill honestly just stick stop&shop/whole foods. They have exactly what I need although not always the best prices.

Prices can sometimes be a bit high and pushing out name brands for their own PIC brands is bothersome. Overall customer service is good and the sales can be good as well.
