I was familiar with Extra Space Storage since I play trumpet with the Port Charlotte Community Band who rented space. I helped the Community Band and found the staff at Extra Space wonderful! When I needed a rental unit Extra Space Storage at 902 Taylor St was my first choice. Sure enough I am very pleased using them and if you run into Lindy Lord-Cooper she is great. She is the site manager. Her personally makes you feel at home and that your belongings are being taken care of and if there are issues Lindy resolves them quickly. She also returns phone calls...Oh, the place is easy to find and in a great location in Punta Gorda. You cant go wrong.

Fantastic experience with the site manager Lindy. Great location with clean accessible storage units. We rented one nearby and when we got our full U Haul ready to unload we discovered this place was so old the door and hall space for temperature control was not big enough to get in normal furniture. Lucky for us and just two minutes away Extra Space and Lindy were open and quickly got us a suitable temperature controlled locker that has wide access to move furniture. Wish we went to Extra Space first! Dont waste your time and go anywhere else. Amazing, helpful staff---especially Lindy!

We needed a small unit to store the items we did not want to sell with our condo and decided to research storage facilities. We called several, and no one answered the phone except Extra Space Storage. It was an 800# call center but we received a quote and a discount, then directions to the facility. When we arrived the on site manager had our order, honored our discount, and was extremely helpful, full of energy and personality. We have rented storage units before and this woman was an entirely different type of rental agent! The storage facility is in the heart of downtown Punta Gorda, yet not in a congested area. It is well lit and whenever we went there to drop off or pick up items, I always felt safe. This facility is also close to I-75, US 41, and US 17. If you are looking for a clean, safe, and well run storage facility with temperature controlled units, free of bugs and scary individuals, this is where you should store your personal items.

After we moved here from Oregon, a common challenge is to find a place to live. It’s tougher than you’d think, so we stored our things at Extra Space storage on Taylor Street in Punta Gorda.We reserved and paid for our space online. It was one of the last storage spaces in Charlotte county. Easy access, clean, secure.Lindy was very helpful in getting things lined up, easy to contact and communicate with. She was really good about returning phone calls.We just moved into our new house, so the unit is vacant..... (maybe more like “was vacant.”)Recommend👍 Nice place! 5 stars!

I walked in and didnt know what to expect. Lindy had her mask on, as did I. I told her what I wanted and she had the unit available. Another customer walked in as I was filling out the paperwork and said I cant open my unit, can you look into it. Lindy replied, what code did you use? He replied and she replied (in a polite manner) thats not the code you used. Lindy solved the problem very quick without missing any time with me. I give her 5 stars plus.

My wife and I were looking for a clean and for a location with easy access in Punta Gorda. We chose this location because of not only is the above correct but the office manager Lindy is just a gem to deal with. We searched online and found this site which takes your order. Then Lindy calls you to confirm your order and helps you tweak your order. She really knows her craft. We were relocating and had no idea what we were going to need. She went over our inventory list with us and got us into the size of unit we needed but also one with climate control. She then looked into eligible discounts for us and got it priced right. This location has easy access for a large moving van and its spotless. Were using the climate controlled units but it also has the standard units for storage that wouldnt require climate control. It also has great security for your belongings. Gated and cameras. I highly recommend this place and the company has a great representative with Lindy. She knows her stuff, very experienced in the industry and is really helpful and kind!

I immediately left disappointed, and went to the next closest facility which was extra space storage in Punta Gorda. I was so impressed with the attention I get from Lindy, I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. I would’ve thought it was a brand new place. after explaining what I needed to Store, she worked diligently to find me the right size unit at a great price. Customer service is very important to me, and the service that I received from Lindy was awesome. Great people with great service. They did everything posable to make my move in easy and fast. The climate controlled facility is extremely clean and well kept. I only have one complaint and that is about the door. It has a keypad that works great but the only way the door can be held open is if someone is in the office to hit the button to hold it open. Otherwise it closes each time you go in or out and you have to reenter your code every time.
