Great company. Solitair was a pleasure to work with and very informative. Was kept in the loop as to when they would be up in N. Florida for the install. The crew were very professional and had the install completed in about an hour.Great company to use for your boat lift cover. Thanks guys.
Waterway Boat Lift Company is a great company. We have had them for 4 yrs. They are always here, mostly, within 1-2 weeks, from when we ask them to come, and remove / put the boat lift cover on. It is just incredible to watch those guys.If you are looking for a boat lift company to make your canopy, we highly recommend, Waterways Boat Lift Company. You will not be disappointed.
Outstanding Company and employees. Told me it would be 5-7 weeks until install of boat lift cover. They installed within 2 weeks and it took crew under 2 hours. Great looking product and can be adapted later for a second station.
Workers arrived on time and work was completed in a professional and very timely manner. Cover looks great and I am completely satisfied with our purchase.
When someone calls you to offer new business, and your sales team is so lazy they dont even call back a sales lead, you do not deserve any new customers. Your competition is eating your lunch. Get salespeople to return calls or get rid of them and hire people who care about bringing in business.
The crew that came out did a fantastic jobThey were done in under 2 hours
From the sales staff, office staff to installers, Waterway is a top-notch company! My build was somewhat complicated due to my lift location. Waterway worked with me and the County to make it work! The finished product was expertly built and installed and looks great! If you’re shopping for a boat lift cover that is well built, attractive and affordable, start with Waterway!
I would highly recommend Waterway. A big thanks to Kathleen for expediting my permit, and Dan for getting his men out to install my boat canopy. I am extremely happy with how the installation of the canopy looks.
Did a great job, only problem was waiting on the boatlift to be installed, could not have asked for better service. 10 out of 10!glad I hired them instead of paying the mark-up from the lift installer.
Waterway came to remove our dock cover for hurricane season. They showed up when promised and after watching the guys do their work I am positive we could never do this ourselves. Definitely a job to be left to the professionals! Also, now we know to call well in advance of season to get on the schedule for removal.
This was a quick and seamless installation on two different boat lifts. Tom was an absolute pleasure to work with. I highly recommend!
Thank you for doing an excellent job. Also tor the time frame you had this accomplished.Tom McInnes
Out standing crew, showed up on time, finished job in a few hours, love my new cover.
Love our new boat lift cover! Waterway installed weeks earlier than estimated. The install team was professional and wasted no time getting our cover in place!
Good product and helpful employees. I need my bungee straps replaced and are scheduled to be done soon even without me being there.
They were in the area giving a neighbor an estimate for a lift cover and we asked them to give us an estimate as well. We thought the estimate was reasonable ($3,600) and gave them a $600 deposit. They said theyd come back on a specific date the following month. They called two days before the date, telling us when they would arrive on the previously specified date to install the cover. They arrived when they said they would, they installed the cover, doing an excellent job. The workers were polite, knowledgeable, personable, and they worked efficiently. And they cleaned up after themselves. We are very pleased with the boat lift cover. They didnt tell us that they would remove the cover before a storm, but they said that that would reinstall it for $150. Based on the trip to the house, the equipment needed, and the expertise and knowledge by the workers, I think the $150 would be a good deal.
We live in Indian River County (Vero Beach). We purchased our boat lift cover through Waterway’s independent Atlantic coast rep about two and half years ago. The Waterway product itself is terrific. The frames are custom built by Waterway to fit each particular boat lift. I really like the fact that no permit is required because the frame is technically removable. Although, there would be no reason to remove it because the frame is built to remain installed during a hurricane. My frame has been through two hurricanes with no problems at all.The vinyl cover, also custom made by Waterway, attaches with heavy duty shock cords. It is an ingenious system. Waterways recommends that the vinyl cover be removed from the frame if winds are expected to exceed 75 mph. Waterway offers a program under which they (or their local rep) will remove it before a storm and reinstall it after the storm has passed for a modest fee. My cover has been removed twice - once be me and once by my lawn service when I was out town. Removing the cover is not particularly difficult so long as you do before the big winds start. In both cases, I had Waterway’s local rep reinstall the cover. I could probably reinstall the cover myself; however, both times the Waterway rep offered to do it and I was happy to pay him to do so.My only complaint in over two years of ownership relates to Waterway’s former local rep. I found him difficult to deal with. However, he is no longer associated with the company. I consider that to be a big plus for Waterway. I noticed there are some negative reviews of Waterway online. I suspect that those reviewers are people on the Atlantic coast like me who also has similar issues with Waterway’s former Atlantic coast rep and do not indicate a problem with the product or the company. The vinyl is a really nice looking material and it stands up well to the sun. My cover still looked like new after more than two years in the sun. However, I recently noticed that a seam on the underside of my cover was separating. I called Waterway directly hoping to avoid having to deal with the local rep. I also emailed them a few photos of the failing seam. Dan Lynch with Waterway called me back immediately. He informed me that the local rep mentioned above was no longer working with Waterway and that Dan would be handling my warranty claim directly.Within a day or two Dan had one of his factory people come out to my house and confirm my cover measurements so that a new cover could be manufactured by Waterway. The factory guy also confirmed that the seam problem was a defect in the vinyl material. Dan promptly followed up to inform me that Waterway would manufacture a new cover and when it was ready they would come back to my house, remove the defective cover and install the new cover all at no charge to me. Dan even offered to upgrade the vinyl material for my new cover, also at no charge. With two weeks I had my new cover installed. It looks great. Dan made the warranty claim process completely painless.I like to keep my boat in the best possible condition. For me, leaving the boat sitting in the Florida sun was never an acceptable option. Prior to purchasing my Waterway cover, I would remove and reinstall a fabric full boat cover every time I used my boat. It was a miserable process that distracted from my use and enjoyment of the boat. Now, my boat stays out off the sun at all times under my Waterway cover with no additional effort by me. It has made a big difference in how much I use and enjoy my boat.
We are extremely happy with our boat lift cover. Keeps the boat out of the sun and provides shade for us while cleaning it.Excellent product made of high quality materials. The workers showed up when they said they would, were friendly and helpful in explaining procedures to remove the cover for storms, etc. they left the dock just as clean as they found it. Highly recommend Waterway Boat Lift Covers!
Our experience with Waterway was fantastic. Tom was the local rep up in Pinellas county who came out to write a quote. He was prompt, professional, and very friendly. The cover was installed about a week earlier than expected. Work was done very well and amazingly fast. I love how we can get our boat tucked up under the cover for maximum UV protection. We also appreciate how it can be easily raised by Waterway, if necessary, to provide additional clearance for accessories like radar on the T-Top. So far, 10 months after install, were very pleased with the product and highly recommend them (actually our cover resulted in a neighbor going with Waterway as well and we may have a few others interested).
Mike Stone, they gave us the same promise to remove... DID NOT do it!I called Jan 11 2018 and the lady said there were too many and have discontinued that service!I have a hole in mine...Also my cover has 5 panels sewn together and one has faded to a different shade of blue.... Looks bad.But they Replaced it under Warranty!
Some delays but job done perfectly happy with Waterway
Waterway designed and installed our canopy that we couldnt be happier with. The shade protects the boat from the sun and the elements! We had a few defective separating seams and they replaced it quick with no questions asked. Great operation!
We purchased our first Waterway cover in 2013 and were very pleased with the service and quality.Several years later a neighbor purchased one by our recommendation and when the company estimator came out he came over and said that one panel had mildew on it and to call the boss. He came out and said we need to replace the whole cover which they did. Wow!We purchased another cover for our dock for shade since Lee County won’t let us haves Tiki Hut. Last year we had a second lift installed and Waterway came out and for a very reasonable price they took the cover off the dock and moved it over the second boat lift.We couldn’t be more satisfied
They installed my neighbors cover. and so I call them because I like the looks of it and it was the strongest looking of all the covers that I had looked at. The sales rep came out when he was supposed to. the crew came out when they were supposed to . worked very fast and efficient.the only reason I didnt give you a five star. was because they left like oily fingerprints and handprints all over the structure could have been wiped clean.
We worked with the most amazing sales person from Waterway. Her name was Paula Williams. Dedicated, honest, fair and very knowledgeable! Our project could not have gone better. The installation crew was equally professional and efficient. They rolled up to the job and completed the entire job, including clean up, in just under two hours. Plus our labradors loved them (a plus). We shopped all other cover manufacturers in our area and hands down...Waterway is best construction, best material, best installation and Paula is over the top good at her job. Love our cover!!!!
Dealing with this company is anything but easy. They appear to have a quality product but their salesman is virtually impossible to deal with. He never returns calls or emails. I liked my boat lift cover so much that I immediately tried contacting the company in order to get covers for my jet ski lifts. Salesman never responded to multiple calls etc. I called the company and was told that yes, they made jet ski lift covers but I neded to go through their salesman. I finally gave up. Guess they dont need the business. My salesman also told me that the company comes out to remove the covers for their customers but neglected to tell me that I needed to get on a list in order to have my cover removed. Recently, I received an email stating that their crews were coming around to remove customers covers that were on their list. I called to inquire about the list and was told that it costs $300 to get on the list and then $200 per removal and $200 for each reinstallation. Seemed rather extreme but it really doesnt matter because when I asked if I could get on the list I was told they were sold out for the year. So Im stuck with a cover and no one to remove it during a storm.Bottom line, great product, poor customer service.
We have been Waterway customers for ten years, and have been happy with their products, services, and warranties. The company does a professional job in designing and installing boat canopies, and takes customer service seriously. My only concern is Waterways program for removing canopies prior to hurricanes: They require an annual membership fee to be added to the list for removal services, which are expensive. That program takes unfair advantage of their customers.
Very happy with my boat lift cover. One of my neighbors liked it and had one installed and another neighbor has an appt. to get a quote for one.
Waterway Boat Lift Covers came out and installed my Boat Lift Canopy a few weeks ago and it looks great!! I highly recommend them. Paula Williams was my sales rep, very professional and knowledgeable of the product. Their install crew did a great job and very professional as well!!
Stephanie C. was very knowledgeable & helped me out tremendously. She made herself readily available for all of my questions throughout the course of our project. I was extremely impressed & thankful for her hard work!
Terrible customer service!!! As provided in their maintenance program they came and took my cover off for Hurricane Laura. The problem is it’s been a 6 weeks since the storm, which never came near us, and my cover has not been put back up yet even after multiple calls asking when it would be done. My last call the person even spoke to the owner who assured me it would be done the next day which it wasn’t!Follow up: The owner reached out to me and explained the cause of the delay and what he did to that should eliminate it from happening in the future. He also did something for me that more than made up for the mishap.
We had a boatlift cover installed over air boat lift by waterway and our neighbor right next to ours wasn’t happy with where it was located. So we called waterway and they came right out and made adjustments to our cover to make our neighbor happy. They did a great job and everybody is happy. Would have them again if we ever need them.
Took a little longer to get installed due to being outside their normal service area, but super happy with the end product and the price. If you have patience, definitely worth it.
WaterWays Boat covers exceeded my expectations by standing behind their products. After having a new lift cover installed September of 2019 we noticed delaminating seams in mid December. Waterways immediately sent someone out to remove the top and repair it. The process took a little longer than I would have liked but a little over a week later they came back out to reinstall the repaired cover. We were not home for the reinstall so we were unable to inspect prior to them leaving. Upon inspection we found new issues with the top and immediately reached out to Waterways to address our concerns. Again they sent someone out within a week to inspect. The inspection revealed the same issues we were seeing so we were told that a manager would call us to discuss what could be done. The call happened around Christmas and we were told that they would make a new top. I mentioned because of company coming in and out that they could wait until early 2020 to install. All though it took a lot longer to reinstall they stayed with me and installed in March 2020. The top looks great and I would not hesitate to recommend or use them again. Thank you to all of the Waterways employees that help make our dreams come true.
Waterways has put 2 canopies up for me. Always on time and always do great work.
Dan was awesome. Great company, wonderful cover. They did 4 neighbors lift covers as well. They provided a good looking, durable cover - and provided highly useful insight. Best deal in town for sure.
We had a new cover installed on our lift a couple of weeks ago in St James City. Install was completed 4 business days after we ordered it and the work completed in 2-hrs. The design is perfect for our boat and the cover looks great. Highly recommended!
Great company to work with. Paula Williams was extremely helpful and made sure my project was done on time and professionally. A pleasure to work with
We had a Waterway Boat Lift cover x years which was destroyed in Irma due to our failure to think of taking it down. We were very pleased with the way the boat cover protected our boat and called Waterway to replace it with a new one. The installation went well and we have been pleased with the new lift cover. Dan was very helpful in completing this process. When the recent hurricane scare came, I had my Handiman remove the cover and when he was unable to replace it correctly, Waterway (Dan)was very pleasant to send help in a timely fashion at my request. I was relieved to see it back up and secure & can only speak of my experience which has been very favorable. Thank you so much.My major concern is there does not seem to be an affordable reliable plan where we can call Waterway and request removal when WE feel it is a storm which will impact our area specifically. I understand the system is being revised but will be capped on customers served and involves fee to even be on list. I am not clear on all the details yet. IN A PERFECT WORLD, I would appreciate a team of response people who could be mobilized prior to a storm and perform this service at a nominal cost when we request it.If Waterway is ok with replacing it after someone takes it off, I can live with that I guess.
Had a choice of another boat lift cover company, but decided to go with Waterway. Great sales staff. Great explanation of all products and permits. Went to factory in Punta Gorda. Seen how product was made. This is what you want. 5 STARS! Glad I made the right choice.
I highly recommend Waterway. Had a 3 1/2 year old cover on my lift bought from the lift installer new (not from Waterday) hen the lift was installed. One side seam and 6 hold tabs broke loose because they were glued and not heat welded. The top cover is under warranty. I decided to check with other suppliers when the original supplier said they would repair it under warranty but it would fail again because gluing was a substandard procedure. They would be happy to sell me a brand new one (at what turns out was full price ++). I contacted Waterway. They were quick and responsive. They presented their product as superior to others because of specific items. They never attacked specific competitors. I then told the original supplier that I was getting a quote from Waterway and within 10 mins, the price for replacement dropped by 35%. We dont want a Waterway canopy on one of our lifts. Hmmmm. Its my lift I paid for it. I explained the conversation to Waterway. Deal done. They produce a quality product. (My neighbor has one). They are easy to deal with and generally more upfront. I recommend them without question.
😀UPDATEEddie did a great job fabricating the Bimini for our house boat. After a rocky start the finished product is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The workmanship is 5 star quality. Eddie did what he said he would do when he said he would. No complaints with his follow through at all.ORIGINAL REVIEW:We tried to get an estimate over a week ago. Their salesman came out and said the owner would get an estimate to us that afternoon. Eddie was great, but the company has no follow through. We called back to check on the estimate and the receptionist said Dan would get back to us that afternoon. That was Wednesday January 30th, still no return call or estimate. Poor customer service.
Go with the most experienced canopy company in swfl. 25 years building canopies and that is what they do with excellence!
I got a quote from Paula Williams at Waterway Boat lift covers and she was very knowledgeable about the product. And I would highly recommend her and waterway to all of my friends and neighbors.
Took 4 months to make a new cover exactly same size & color as original. After MANY calls was told it is done, and will be installed in a couple days. But in two days got a call, asking what color did we want, since not written on order. REALLY! Once installed, the new design of their cover needs a metal bar attached from front to back on the 30 foot framework. This bar looks like a drunken sailor installed this piece of metal. 😟We were told they still have the service to remove it, if a hurricane is coming. Called and called before IRMA. Nobody would answer. Finally, got to leave a message. No help, so finally had a friend help us take down before we were told to Evacuate the Peace River. Now waiting for them to put cover back. Girls that final answer our calls tell us we are on the list, and give us fictitious answers as to when they will get to us. One even became very nasty with my husband.Certainly not a business I want to deal with any longer, and NEVER refer them to our friends.Jan
I recently did business with Tom at Waterway and highly recommend Tom and Waterway Boat Lift Covers to anyone looking for the perfect solution for protecting your boat!!
We are very pleased with the product, service and installation of our boat lift canopy. Our sales rep, Tim was very professional and knowledgeable. Service was provided as promised within the 2 to 3 week time frame and the installers completed the job in under 3 hours.
Paula Williams has gone above and beyond to help us get exactly the boatlift cover we wanted. We had to fight a variety of circumstances.. you know what I mean, Paula...to complete the job. We are very excited to get this job completed. Thanks once again, Paula for all the help. W
Thankful to have done business with this company! They truly give great customer service, everyone in the office was friendly, professional and always willing to help as well as answer our questions. They worked quickly and delivered excellent quality.
They are FANTASIC!Great service and they are a people first company. During hurricane Irma they made sure to keep their employees safe. The lift cover was so easy to take off before the hurricane and the frame withstood the winds. Im so thankful people were able to stay safe!
Customer service is awful. I called for Irma last year, was promised two times someone would take our brand new cover down (it was a couple months old). No one ever showed up. I had to hire someone at the last minute to take cover down, charged double the normal rate of anyone..... I called and was promised someone would come and put it back on, once again no one showed up. I had to hire someone else to put it back on. About a month after I already had the cover on I was called by WBLC and I said the work had already been done. I told them one corner sort of looked funny and the woman I spoke to said she would send someone out when they were in our area and if they did not do anything I would not be charged. The guy came out looked at everything and said he slid one of the ties, he did not even take it off he said it was fine the way it was but he just moved it because that is how he does it. He said he would put on the service order that he did not do anything but lo and behold I was charged, and of course, the person I was dealing with no longer works there and I got stuck paying the bill. They say they left me messages to discuss this, I did return their calls, I was put on hold several times and finally would hang up because I got tired of waiting. I would also leave messages and my calls were never returned.
I spent 4K and was promised that they would remove the canopy in case of a hurricane and re install afterwards. Guess what? Thats a lie. Irma came. They didnt answer their phone for days. Then when they did they said the couldnt do it. Im 60. So I got up and did it myself. After I paid for this service. After the hurricane I called. They said the couldnt come out for a month. Great after sale service. Dont waste your time with them. The other guys came out to my neighbors and did what they promised.
I have had a great experience with the team at Waterway! The work was done above expectations and at a reasonable cost. I believe they truly provide a great product and customer experience.Joel Lengyel
Absolutely horrendous experience. They promised five week delivery when they took my deposit on my replacement top. Going on six months now and no top. Have made 15 or so calls to them now. Each time its clear they have no idea who I am. After 15-20 minutes on hold they tell me they will call me back immediately to schedule the delivery and installation. Then they dont call back. 3 -4 weeks later I call again and repeat the process - they have no idea who I am - 15-20 minutes on hold, etc etc etc. Finally had to cancel the order (which they couldnt find) and call another company. Also out the deposit. DONT REFER EVEN TO YOUR WORSE ENEMY!!!!
They did a beautiful job on my boat lift canopy. So well built and quality construction. Installers were very professional and curtious.
I’ve had good luck and bad from this company. The good was that they replaced my canopy for free after a defective material got mold all over it. That was the good and ugly 😜. The bad was I repeatedly called and asked to be put on the list for Irma. They said no problem and told three other neighbors and my sister the same thing. They never came out so my neighbors got together and took them off ourselves after many repeated calls. I didn’t know my sister didn’t get hers taken down and it got ripped pretty good. After Irma I called for reinstallation and they said no problem but never showed up and the same thing happened to them. We got tired of calling and just had a couple of Joes put them back on.UPDATE. I received a call from the new owner who wants to make things right. They have a new system in place for hurricane canopy removal which is a huge improvement. Any business owner who would take the time to call me directly to address my concerns is alright by me. I’ve increased my rating accordingly.
Great communication every step of the way, fast service and my boat lift cover looks great!
Excellent Company, Superior Quality. My boats will always have a Waterway cover over them. Great company!
Prices are way too high! Over $1500 more than any other bids I received.
Wow they build the most beautiful boat lift garage like covers, strong and beautiful rare combination.
My partner, Rod Burnett called Waterways four days prior to Hurricane Irma to have our cover taken off. The day before the storm came it still had not removed and they were going around our park asking people if they wanted their cover off. They never did remove it and we lost it during the storm and it tangled around our water pipe under the dock and broke that causing significant damage to the water system at the dock. We also lost our Bimini top on our boat because of this. We have since called them at least seven times, no response, the one time that my partner got a response was when he spoke to one of the personnel in the office and she was extremely rude yelling in the phone, etc. We are looking for another place at the moment to look at covers. When we purchased this cover we paid a lot and got the best material, etc and were told at that time that they would remove the cover if any wind was over 70mph. There is even a sign stating so on the structure itself.. We had been really satisfied when we purchased this cover as the owner who sold it to us was very nice and seemed to be very helpful. We cant even talk to him right now as the office will not deliver our messages. After reading all these reviews I guess we are not alone.
They suck after the hurricane I called them and they, said they would be out and after three different times of them saying they would be out my neighbors and I put all of our canopies on in the neighborhood. So if youre on the list for them to take and put up your canopy you may be waiting a long time and for nothing I will never ever do business with them again and from all the reviews that I seen Im not the only one!!!
Called into office back in late summer to install a end/stern curtain on my boat lift, worked with Paula and placed order, before this was installed I called back to have a side and bow curtain added to the project. Paula said they needed to send someone out, we agreed to date and time, a gentleman came out we agreed to add side curtain and bow curtain to project and to install all 3 at same time.Crew came out to install the side curtain it was correct, bow curtain was wrong and stern curtain was not sent. Have NEVER seen the correct bow curtain the stern curtain has never been found. 4 months and multiple phone calls not returned every time I call in I get the run around, was told by Paula I never ordered a stern curtain, really you charged my CC for it. I have a maintenance contract that when I signed it was told it makes you a priority customer for removal and installation when a storm hits. When Irma hit they did remove the top and side curtain, finally got the top back on the last week of Oct. but they did NOT install the side curtain. Called the office to complain and was told did you tell us to install the side curtain YES I specifically said on the 4 times I called in I needed the top and side put back on. Was told we will get you back on schedule, could be several weeks, really this is your idea of customer service.
Great product and service
Good people, great quality, would recommend to any boat-owner.
Should not advertise that will take down at 70 mile winds and put back up because they just cant not handle the volume. Did not answer phone when needed to take down. Finally thru Facebook they answered but could not quanteer getting to us. Then from our wonderful neighborhood our neighbors took down our canvas. After waiting a month for them to put up friends put it back up. Would not recommend using them for service
This company either changed hands or got too big for their britches. But either way street clear of these jokers!!!!
These folks have some of the worst costumer service around.
Excellent product and service
