I like the store but I really feel the prices are just too high...and I mean on everything. Shame...

I love West Marine.I like to be able to go and look and touch stuff when it come to buying something for my boat. The stores are all over down here and the selection is spot on.One of the things I liked was the knowledge of the staff when it came to thier products. I went in to but a gps/fish finder and could not have been more pleased. I spent close to a grand with them and felt good about it.Another thing about them is an awesome online store. The website is great and allows me to do the research before I go to make a buy. Its also nice knowing that I can buy something from the website which I dont normally do on any website but take back to the store if theres an issue.I would definitely recommend West Marine

Tried to pickup a product that has been back ordered for a couple months from the fort myers store,The employee looked it up and said they had a few in Punta gorda, but doubt they would sell any as it’s probably being held for an electronics installer,He called for me and this was in fact the case, he told me this is not typically allowed and to call back in a couple days and see if they would sell to me, after days of phone calls and an email to corporate, I finally received a call from the store manager, his attitude was sarcastic and snickering, they finally called the buyer who was going to come into purchase,They held this product for weeks if not months, and did not follow up untill they got a phone call from corporateBuy somewhere that wants your money and cares

I have been a customer for over 25 years and generally dont object to paying a premium for the convenience of purchase there. Yesterday I stopped in for a quart of 3M Marine Cleaner and Wax....was surprised to see it priced at $44.99.....I left and ordered the EXACT product from Amazon for $27.98.....a $17.00 difference. The price on electronics is usually competitive, but I was surprised to see so great a mark up this product. Shop wisely!

Came into the store right before closing. These folks were super helpful and got me out the door in less than 10 minutes! Love it! Also dont forget they now price match Amazon......Update on Amazon price match!!!!!!They do longer price match all prices on Amazon. Only the ones that are fulfilled by Amazon. This is unfortunate! I will have to try to purchase things from Amazon ahead of time.

Terrible customer service at this location, Malcolm was very rude on the phone I’ll think twice before ever going to this West Marine for anything.ever again.

If you go there dont pay cash youll never get a refund they never have any money in the store because they dont do enough business and then theyll only refund they told me up to $100 and thats their National store policy theyll give you an in-house credit because they want to keep your money there and Jackie around on giving you your cash back I spent over $400 in that store for Christmas and because the weather my family couldnt come down so I sent them cash because I figured hey I can just take this back I had to go from Englewood all the way down to Punta Gorda to find a store where the lady was nice enough to return it and give me all my cash back because the store down there actually does business oh Im sorry North Port Punta Gorda had the same policy is Englewood so I went to 3 stores to get my money back.

Not a very large store but 9 out 10 times they have what I need. Staff is always helpful and friendly.

Had what I wanted and ordered the rest. Quick,efficient.

Went to the Punta Gorda Store and walked around for 15 minutes and no one offered to help, so I left. I went to the Port Charlotte Store and David was right there to help. Not the first time no one offered to help in Punta Gorda.
