Friendly staff, flower depth needed to be staffed but understandable because of Covid

This a pretty good store to find a varaity of market items not commonly found at most stores. The store has always been clean and the enough staff to keep customers moving. The parking lot does not flow well and can be a little crazy. While not as big and fancy as some stores this is a good place to shop and find some pretty good deals.

The workers were so helpful I have to use a cane and they wanted to go with me to make sure I didnt have any trouble getting to my car and thats the way I have always get treated. Thank you for having such wonderful employees

This store is bar the most unorganized Ive ever been too. Employees are outstanding and always happy to help navigate but the setup still is very odd. Produce deals are the best in town.

Union Store/unions strong! Clean, always well-stocked, friendly and helpful staff who are always willing to help. Great selections of fresh meats in various cuts and always fresh with great deals every week, especially during holiday weeks. Produce is one fresh and lasts once you get it home from the store unlike mega stores selection of produce. Boxed and frozen items tend to cost a bit more but environment is peaceful, less crowded and staff always rings you up! Absolutely NO self check-out at this location and the friendly staff also bag your groceries for you and will even take your groceries out to your car for you if you want. When checkout lines have 3 people in a line, another cashier is called so wait time is unbeatable. Overall, worth shopping at this location. Their meat and produce selection and prices are always competitive and worth the trip. Additional savings are available thru the Safeway app or Safeway mega coupon booklet typically available at the front of the store.Did I mention this store has a strong union who supports their fellow grocery workers and their union when negotiating their contracts?! Union strong and worth shopping here!

Professinal, courteous help inside and out. Store was clean, not to busy. I want to get a job at Safeway. Nice people.

Safeway has good vegetables in a pretty decent bakery I bought a roast at Safeway it smelled a little funny I called them and asked him what to do they exchanged it no questions asked that was the only time I had a problem Safeway has good staff friendly and its nice to see the same people not like that bigger stores Safeways pretty cool thats my experience

Always find exactly what I need here and having friendly staff makes the experience of shopping here even better.

Never have weekly ad items in stock. Many employees are rude. The only bright spot is the employees in the deli

Nice clean facility and not over crowded. The prices are a bit higher than king soopers across the street though.They have most of the the things I needed, typical household products.The one thing I dont like about the produce so much is that not all the organic items are grouped together so it took a lot more searching for what I needed.They also do not have self checkouts so the lines were longer than what Im used to.

I went while they were remodeling and they had just taken down the signs for what was which down the aisles and the manager was very rude when I was asking where to find something. I was clearly lost and politely approached after he was finished speaking with his subordinate. I had a cart full of items at this point so I began setting them all on the floor at his feet and then took the cart out of the store and went to king supers, another Kroger entity.

No self check out, but Ive always liked Safeway, its always clean, helpers available, fresh produce, I can go in and get out quick.

My mom loves the marked down items, I love the colorado-specific taco season that I cant get at home.

I have been shopping at Safeway for 50yrs, and I have ALLways appreciated the PERSONAL service, and atmosphere of store. Love Safeway!!!

Though Safeway has been my favorite grocery store all along because they have items that i cant get at any other store on the Southside, yesterday all of my former praises are gone. First Customer Service NEVER picks up the phone. I stood there watching the young man that was there yesterday. I couldnt reach 2 items. I waited and waited for an associate to pass by. That never happened. I walked up to the end of the freezer section, called Customer Service. He had a line BUT the customer was filling out something. He could have easily just picked up the phone to page someone to assist me. I watched him just standing there and my call just ringing and ringing. I went to the Pharmacy and a lady there paged someoneone for me. The lady in the dairy department was extremely rude! She told me to get out of the way so she could reach the item. I had moved out of the way. She wanted to park her cart with dairy products right in front of where I had moved to. I still thanked her for reaching something for me and I told her that there was just 1 more thing I couldnt reach in the freezer section, she totally ignored me! I had to wait for a customer to come by and he was very pleasant and helpful. I WILL NEVER get ANYTHING from the grocery section again. Their $5 deals Id rather pass up then to be treated as I was yesterday!

I went to get my Johnson Johnson covid-19 shot. The pharmacist who gave me the shot was gentle. I didnt even feel the needle.

Great place to grocery shop. Pleasant helpful people.

Better selection than many stores in town. Rarely significant crowds but only one or two cashiers open at a time with no self checkout.

Nice and clean,shelves always seem to stay stocked... no matter what day of the year it is.!.

The upgrade is looking great! So nice to look at.Im curious why they chose to close the Safeway on 29th street. It just went through a total upgrade.It was done a month or two before the closings.I love Safeway!💘💖 they have the best store name dairy products.Reminds me of Cumberland farms convenience stores products. (East coast thing)Safeway is always clean, and has the best produce.Because of the Covid-19 protocols, employees are wiping down all surfaces. If you pick up something off the shelf then put it back, an employee will wipe down that item.Safeway has arrows on the floor directing you up and down isles and safe distances.This store is always clean and even though the employees are tired and overworked, they always greet you and ask how you are.Awesome people, fantastic place and some pretty great deals from the app.Go check it out.

I like the convience and store location. Sadly the store is dire need of an update compared to the Pueblo West location and Colorado Springs. I love the friendliness of the employees and checkers. Management seems stiffled and not invested. Best bakery in town..I wish there was a coffee shop, and better maintained deli, BTW their Monday chicken special is a great value.

Safeway carries my juice and does my prescriptions has great meat

Good variety, less crowded than other grocery stores. After I made a special request for a beverage they didnt sell, they not only ordered it for me but now keep it in stock. This is my go to grocery store

Things seemed pricey at first, but once you start adding coupons and discounts, Safeway can easily be one of the most thrifty places to shop. highly recommended.

I dont know how this Safeway stays in business. NEVER enough HELP on. Line is so long. How come you dont have self checkout? Your doing everything right to close this store. King Soopers across the street is packed and your packed at the register. People waiting 19 minutes in checkout is unacceptable. Please open more registers. Hire more people. You folks have a reputation for slow service.

Friendly staff and generally well stocked. I rarely have to wait long to check out. They are good about more people coming to help up front. And the produce is pretty good.

Deli is closed numerous times at 3 in the afternoon. Items from deli that is packaged and put on the shelf, wings, were old dried up and uneatable. Should never have been put on the shelf. Wasted my money

The deli is great, good stuff. Meat department is A+. Cant beat the sales on Wednesday .

The staff is great! The store is very clean and the isles are very wide so you never feel crowded. They have a wide verity of product to choose from. The meat department is large as is their produce department. The only department I thinks lacks a little is their deli. They have plenty of parking and could have more handicap parking. They are handicap accessible. The prices are fair and they always run good sales.

The meat department just continues to go down hill. They close it up way too early. And never a good verity of meats especially the on the ground beef so sad... Half the time in the grocery part out of what Im looking for.

The GM is an awful person. Outrageously rude to me and made me cry because I forgot my items at the store yesterday and didnt figure out I did it until later that night. I was in the ER for two days before that day and I have mental illnesses that cause me to forget stuff. So wasnt feeling too hot. Should have just told me she wasnt able to do anything instead of try to shame me and then give me a gift card with my money back. Still cant believe my mother, Rosemary, still shops there. Made my moms life a living hell. Thanks Brenda. 👌

Great place with awesome Managers, Leads and employees. The Meat Department is spot on when it comes to cuts of meat and if you want to have it hand cut to perfection this is where to go. For my birthday they handcut some T Bones that were huge and cut perfect. Thank you Great job would recommend this Safeway over any other Safeway in Pueblo or Colorado.

Its an okay place to shop for a few groceries if youre in a rush. Its never really busy so thats a good thing! It just seems really outdated and kind of overpriced on a few things with a kind of rude staff. I can see why we only have one in town now which is sad man. I remember always running to Safeway with my family when I was younger.

Always have to hunt for what you want. Overhead menu have not been updated in years. aisle menues are incorrect on lots of items. Service desk is most time vacant. Generaly a dirty floor, they just wax over the dirt. Their excuse is they cant do anything until corporate tells them. Lack of pride for their work place.

Our Walsenburg Safeway has a wonderful selection of produce, fresh meats & specialty prods. All the cashier clerks are very friendly. However; I would not EVER say the same about the manager or customer service clerk/front end clerk. Each of the aforementioned individual lacks plenty to be desired & I am one of MANY who share the same opinion which is very unsettling. All in all-The store is a well stocked store for a rural area. This specific Pueblo Safeway is a beautiful store thats well stocked & enjoyable to shop in. Prices are reasonable and the shopping is a nice experience.

This place is my favorite place!! Always great deals, Very well organized and clean!! Staff are on point and so very nice! Plus the security guard always makes me feel safe when going at night and will walk me out and help me out my stuff in the car!! The best shopping experience a person could have!!! Lthe least favorite store i have been in. There were a cast of characters sitting in the eating/ rest area? By the restrooms. Didnt feel comfortable letting my child go to the bathroom unattended.

The fresh cut vegetables and fruits have really improved!! I talked to the girl stocking the shelves one day last week, her name was Jenny, she was very polite and informative. She told me they prepare their products in store daily to keep it as fresh as possible. Ive had bad experiences with these items before but they have definitely improved!! I hope they continue to get better and keep hiring employees like that!!AND IF THEIR CORPORATE OFFICES EVER READ ANY OF THESE COMMENTS THEN, MAYBE THEY WILL!!!

Safeway has the best baked goods of any grocery store in Pueblo. I especially like their sourdough bread, its the best. They also have quality meats at a fair price. I can expect what I need at Safeway and their staff are courteous, very helpful, and professional. Its a very polite experience shopping at Safeway.
