We scheduled with Subaru of Pueblo to have an oil change and our tires rotated, per the required service schedule. Each tire was individually marked beforehand to ensure that rotation was actually being performed, as we had suspicions that it had not been done during prior services, although previous paperwork stated they had been rotated. After approximately 2.5 hours, we were informed that service was complete. Upon inspection of car, the tires were in the exact same location as when dropped off for service. We asked the Service Advisor if the tires had been rotated. He confirmed from the work order in his hand that they had been rotated. After we pointed out that the wear pattern was the same as when the car was dropped off, and that the tires had been marked, he said he would double check with the tech. He returned and stated that they could take it back into the bay and do it now (with no explanation as to why they said it had been done, although it actually had not been completed). We declined, as we did not have additional time to wait. The Customer Advisor then revised the original paperwork; removing our initial request to have the tires rotated and the data stating that rotation had been completed. He was unapologetic that the service had not performed, although the service was listed as completed on our initial paperwork. Curious if stating that services are rendered, when they have not been performed, is a common business practice at this dealership’s service center. I would be more understanding if this were simply an oversight, but it seems more like a case of blatant deceit. I’m very dissatisfied, not only that the tires were not rotated, but by the dishonesty of the situation. Not exactly a huge trust builder that our Subaru is being taken care of at this dealership.
