Yin Rubin is amazing!! We recently moved to Princeton and were looking for a decorator to help make our new house a home. Not only does Yin have amazing taste and style, but also a keen eye for detail. At the beginning of the process, Yin listened to what we were looking for, and provided a full room concept for our living room with our needs in mind. She also suggested how to integrate some of our existing pieces we loved into the room. Importantly, Yin is very understanding and patient. She does not pressure to make a decision quickly or buy a piece. She is involved and accessible throughout, and even came over to show me how to arrange my new living room pillow correctly! We absolutely love all of the pieces we ordered! Corinne Blake was our design consultant and was very friendly and communicative throughout the whole process. Our sectional and end tables arrived early and were delivered with great care. Our dinning table was slightly delayed, which was expected, but Corinne stayed in touch the whole time. I couldnt be happier with my latest experience withEthan Allen! I purchased this chair after having ordered one from a different store that came in after 7 months damaged, and then was discontinued. I met TJ recently when I was looking to refresh my home to be more minimalistic. This would include getting rid of some old/broken pieces, and order only what is needed to meet our needs. Less people in the house now. My house is filled with EA furniture from about 20 years ago. We got them from EA Princeton.I am impressed that how well TJ knows about the details of the EA furniture from the past and of course the current ones. She knows all of their names, just they are her children. She was able to provide simple suggestions to rearrange my family room by just looking at a photo. That is talent and experience. The needs now is different. Instead of filling an empty house with furniture, the challenge is how to mix and match the old with new. That is more difficult I think. TJ knows how to approach that.I rearranged my family room based on TJs suggestion. Wow, it looks way better already. Now, I am carefully considering what pieces to bring into my home. When I am ready, TJ will be the first go-to to get help.

Darlene goes above and beyond to communicate with customers and keep them informed. Id like to start by saying that I am a 38 year old single man that has never purchased a new couch in my life. I had zero direction in style, color, comfort level, fabric etc. I searched 5 or 6 stores for what I thought would work for me and my taste and was unsuccessful. I decided to go to Ethan Allen in Princeton N.J. there I browsed on my own but as soon as I had a question it became transparent to the representative that was near by and she confronted me to assist. From that point she helped me with my hundred questions and directed me towards options that would suit my expressions to her. She took a genuine interest in the space that I had and requested photos of the new space and home that I was building and designing ( I am a reputable general contractor). I quickly began to realize that she was a very talented furniture designer . We worked together for two days straight over numerous emails of designs that she created digitally, measurement drawings, and sizes of pieces as well as atleast a half of dozen phone calls and two long in store meetings . After two long days trying to work things out that best suited me and my needs Mrs. Alka Penu came up with the best design that worked out beautifully and because not only did I like the product but I was blown away with her level of care, patience, talent, and top notch customer service I placed the order with her at 8pm on a holiday (she stayed late and worked many hours past her shift so that I was satisfied and didnt miss the sale. If you are looking for not only furniture, but top notch design concepts and thee best customer service, I highly suggest you go see Alka at Ethan Allen Princeton N.J. !!!!! She made something that I dreaded doing, was lost on the correct way to go (answers) into something manageable, simple, and fun. HUGE THANK YOU Alka!!! :)

Shop here only if you dont mind waiting over eight-plus months for furniture. My husband and I purchased a bedroom set in November 2020. Here we are, in mid-May 2021, and the furniture has yet to arrive. They were very happy and attentive to sell us thousands of dollars worth of furniture, but non-existent with the follow up. The furniture had a 12-16 week window. At twelve weeks we contacted the designer, Alka, to get an update on the delivery status. Basically, VERY long story short- she dodged every phone call and every email, only occasionally sending a response weeks later citing a short delay. We had to get the regional manager, (Tanya) involved since the woman who sold us the furniture was missing in action. The dresser was delivered several weeks ago, but they couldnt speculate as to when the bed and nightstands would arrive.It took WEEKS to even get someone in charge to follow up with us despite email after email and phone call after phone call to get someone to call us back. Here we are, six months later, and come to find out that they are now giving us a POSSIBLE August delivery... ummmm... what?!?! Their customer service in dealing with this matter has been atrocious and downright deceitful, to say the least. We will NEVER purchase anything from this company again. Not that they care anyway. Ive filed a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs. I urge anyone dealing with Ethan Allen, to tread with caution since theyre great with the buying experience, and beyond duplicitous with the follow up.

Alka made a complicated purchase possible! First, I am a very indecisive person, but she was willing to stick it out and guide me through the process. Next, I have a very small stairwell so ensuring the furniture would fit was an issue. It required multiple measurements, calls to the warehouse and even a personal attempt by Alka to remove the feet on a heavy bed just to ensure that getting the bed up my stairs was do-able. She was superb, going above and beyond to ensure a successful purchase and had a pleasant demeanor throughtout. End of story - bed has arrived, it fits and I love it! Thanks Alka!

I worked with Alka over the phone. I live in Iowa and she helped me pick my favorite pieces online without having to go to store during covid-19. She went above and beyond to make sure I’m happy with my decision. She is pleasant and knowledgeable. I can’t wait for my order to arrive.It’s March 26/2021 and I am still waiting for my couch, nesting table, and side table to arrive. I understand the delay due to pandemic but it has been more than 3 months now. Alka is very helpful and still follows up with me. I am having my house warming gathering 3 months after I moved in without a couch!!

We had a terrible experience with Ethan Allen at Princeton location. We purchased about $9,000 worth of furniture and received unacceptable subpar quality of services and products. It is shame that EAs best interest is to protect its sales and the company does not offer any reasonable return policy even if its products are defective, damaged, or sub-par quality. Dont be fooled by its premium price and presentation. EA does not carry reputable brand value as it used to.We purchased a EAs TEMPUR-Pedic customized mattress and adjustable foundation, which were sold together as comparable unit as presented at the showroom. However, when these products were delivered, the set up was done incompletely. We also identified that these products were not comparable units and it creates a HUGE (7 to 9) gap between mattress and its foundation. EA technician was sent to rectify the problem, but he was not able to resolve the problem because he was just a sub-contractor who was not familiar with Ethan Allen products. After over a month of working with the store manager, the conclusion was that we should ACCEPT and KEEP the products as-is because they tested and validated that they have the same problem with 4 other units at Ethan Allan. Really? The best solution was to lower the EAs standard of quality to keep its sales?I also validated with other Tempur-Pedic authorized retailers that these two products are not comparable and it would damage the mattress.Shop at your risk at Ethan Allen. Ethan Allen does not stand behind its products.

So happy with my experience. I worked with Alka on purchasing a sectional. We worked completely virtual during social distancing looking at fabric swatches and then I scheduled and appointment to come in and see items in store. My husband and I found the process so easy and she instantly understood our style! We are excited to work with her on other pieces for our home.

My experience at Ethan Allen has been outstanding as usual. The quality of the furniture is stellar. I have been a long term client. My last experience with KC Fitz-Maurice is particularly pleasant. She has shown the most patience and has gone a long way to help with samples and finding the right color for my sofa. She gives great advice, is gracious and is a wonderful sales person.

Great experience working with TJ out of the Princeton, NJ store. With everything else being closed, EA was the only place around offering scheduled appointments. Alka Penu was our Design Consultant for our master bedroom. She is very professional, guiding my husband and I throughout the process which was complicated by the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus. I bought a table and a reclining chair over thanksgiving week. The lady who helped was really nice and helpful. Unfortunately, I also bought fabric for my dinning room chairs. I was told this fabric was in stock. However, after I bought it, they did not deliver the following week. I received it way after New Year. They sold it to me but they clearly did not have it on stock. Ethan Allen made me wait for 6 weeks for the fabric.I was happy with my table and reclining chair but I was very annoyed with the fabric situation. Clearly, they did not have that in stock. I wish they would have told me. I could have gone to a different place to buy it.

I’ve been with my EA decorator Clorissa Martell for over 20 years - need I say more? We have successfully transformed our 2 homes to a transitional style - and in the process converted many others to the EA experience. Great shopping experience! Enjoyed working with my designer Donna Rossi.She was very professional, friendly, easy to talk to and very helpful, never felt rushed regarding making any of my choices. She came out to my house with different selections I’d seen at the store plus some more, it was a pleasure to work with her.Delivery was an ease, the men were very friendly and professional willing to move or adjust pieces so they were exactly as I wanted.I highly recommend Ethan Allen and Donna Rossi!

If you expect high end customer service and design recommendations from qualified design consultants, do not shop at this Ethan Allen. You will be left very disappointed in the quality of the product and the way you are treated by the designers and the store manager.We had a design consultant come to our home to help us pick a fabric for a new sofa, with the objective of matching an existing sofa and two ottomans. The consultant suggested a fabric for us, and pushed us to get it; we trusted her recommendation given her title as design consultant. When the new sofa arrived, the fabric completely clashed with our existing sofa and the ottomans and made our home look like we had thrown together a bunch of furniture that we had randomly purchased. We contacted the designer to discuss our concern and offered to either pay to have it reupholstered or to pay Ethan Allen a restocking fee to take it away, we were happy paying more to fix the terrible issue we faced. However, we were told that neither was an option and that we were stuck with the sofa because it was custom.The only advice we were given was to buy additional Ethan Allen furniture to help the new sofa better blend into the room. We were told they have suggested this to customers in the past, which implies this is a common issue customers face after working with the design consultants in this store.We contacted Ethan Allen HQ and were told most Ethan Allen stores are willing to take furniture back for a restocking fee, but its up to each regional manager and because this manager said no, there was nothing they could do. Its no wonder people are turning to online retailers, they are tired of being treated so poorly in stores like this one and tired of dealing with companies with backwards, outdated policies.Additionally, on the day of our delivery, we were given a 5 minute notification before the truck was to arrive. When we told the designer that that short of a heads up didnt work, she told us that Ethan Allen no longer has a policy to give customers more notice than that.To this day, we are still waiting for a call back from the store manager who told us he would speak to headquarters one more time regarding our case and what they suggest we do to remedy the situation.We expected more from the designer and from Ethan Allen, if they truly want to be a high end furniture store. Ethan Allen headquarters needs to better monitor the way customers are treated at this store because it is giving the brand a terrible reputation. We will never buy from Ethan Allen again.UPDATE - We were contacted by Ethan Allen headquarters who suggested we move the sofa into a different room in our home and purchase a new one from the store. Their solution to remedy the situation is insulting and further evidence that they do not know how to treat customers.

Our sales-person, Paul Johnson, was absolutely wonderful. He was a detail person and made sure we understood everything. When we had questions, he returned calls immediately and followed up with a written reply in a timely manner. We will surely think of you first when in need of furniture.

Over the years we have invested in several pieces from Ethan Allen. Each experience has been seamless. Our most recent big purchase was a sofa from the Princeton NJ store about a year ago. The professional, personalized service from their designers is unparalleled to any other store of its kind. We moved a few months back and during the move our new leather sofa was damaged. I called the store and spoke to the manager, Clorisa. She was able to put me in touch with a leather technician who magically made my sofa new again. I can not express my gratitude for how Clorisa cared enough to help insure that I was a happy customer. She has solidified me being a lifetime Ethan Allen customer!

I just purchased living room and dining room furniture at Ethan Allen. When everything arrived,it looked absolutely beautiful. I was then in need of accessories. T.J. came to my house and perfectly coordinated art and decor to my furniture.T.J. was knowledgeable and knew exactly what would look good. I highly recommend this store and T. J.

I am reupholstering three pieces in my living room. My designer, TJ Simone has been excellent to work with. She has come to the house and brought many samples of fabric to choose from. I made my selections and TJ has been instrumental in helping to accessorize the new room. She has made many valuable suggestions. I’m very happy with the project, the quality of the merchandise and consider myself very lucky to have TJ helping me.

Don’t shop at the Princeton NJ Location!!!! I went in the showroom to look at couches. I was actually there to go grocery shopping, next-door at the Trader Joe’s, which is why I had a bag filled with recyclable bags inside of it... (not that I need to explain why and what I’m carrying) I got sidetracked and figured I would look at couches first. I walked the store and took various pictures. I even sat down at the kiosk to look at other options and etc. I walked out of the store and headed towards the Trader Joe’s and the lady in the photo, comes out, after me asking me to see what’s in my bag....I couldn’t believe it!!! I thought to myself, what was I going to put in there, a couch??? A table??!!!! Better yet why is she accusing me???!!!!! It’s a show room!!!!! I went to my car and collected myself because I was extremely frustrated. I was going to just leave it alone but im tired of excusing behavior like this. I went back in that store and let her know how I felt. I don’t know what she was judging me on, whether it was the fact that I’m Hispanic? I had on sweatpants and a baseball cap? I didn’t look like her “customer”… I don’t know. I asked her what she was judging me on? And why she thought I had put something in my bag, also what was I going to put in my bag anyway? She tells me my bag was open when I came in and was closed when I walked out.. she said they have various pillows and comforters throughout the store and I could’ve taken one of those and that now, I could have already put it in my car. I’m disgusted by her behavior and this store. Another lady came to the front, I asked her for her name and she refused to give it to me. I have never shopped here and thanks to Susan, here in this picture, I NEVER WILL!!! Just plain IGNORANT AND YES.. IM GOING TO GO WITH RACIST!!!!!! Also check out the comment by ethan allen below, “we are reviewing your allegations” I didn’t even get an apology for the experience or how I felt… I bet they will just ask her what happened, she will deny it and life will go on...

Saleswoman was rude, unprofessional and eager to get rid of us. What a horrible experience for me. She mumbled under breathe as she walked off from me.

She guided us through every step of the design process and introduced us to furniture pieces, fabrics, and colors we would never have found on our own.
