Yesterday was my first time trying The Bagel Nook in Princeton. I will definitely be back again. I bought a dozen bagels, mostly from their specialty bagel selections, and some fun cream cheeses. They were a hit back at home. Next time Ill have to try one of the crazy breakfast sandwiches they have... I cant wait!

I hardly write reviews but had a bad experience today at this location. The staff was overwhelmed and while I understand hard days… it’s never ok to take a rude tone (especially undeserving) with customers. I simply didn’t remember giving my name and went to check a bag at the takeout counter and got yelled at in front of everyone. How embarrassed I was as I tried to explain I was looking to see if it was my order I had been patiently waiting for (over 15 minutes already). Other customers looked at me. I KINDLY apologized and said “I’m sorry I don’t remember giving my name, can you call me another way?” The employee looked at me and in a snappy tone said “ You must not remember but you did. Even if you didn’t we will know that ones yours then” This is not acceptable. There’s a nice way to treat people. I got home and 1 bagel was good, the other was a disheveled mess. I will not go back. Maybe to another location.

Incredible bagel selection and tons of cream cheese flavors. The menu was a little overwhelming as there are tons of options. My boyfriend got the Avocado Blast on a French toast bagel. I got an onion bagel with bacon and chives cream cheese and lox. Both were incredible. The manager(?) was standing near the counter and was very helpful in narrowing down what we wanted. There are various cereal flavored bagels, tie dye bagels, every flavor imaginable.

Come check out bagel nook in Princeton NJ. These crazy and delicious bagels will blow your mind!! I had the pleasure to get the sugar cookie overload and avocado blast, wow!! They have wonderful safe seating inside. The location is perfect with tons of parking and other great shops. 12 mins from 295 and 5 mins rt 1. Great staff as well. This place is Hard to find prices, extremely expensive. Not to mention the staff is incredibly rude, as a consumer who tries to support local business and spends $$$ it feels unfair to be talked to rudely and made to feel less than. I also want to add the bagels didnt seem fresh, and are not edible in my opinion. I have not been to the freehold location in years although I would rather drive the 45 minutes there then to experience what I had today at the Princeton location. Wish them the best however I will not be returning and DO NOT recommend this location of The Bagel Nook.

I have bought a dozen bagels from this place a handful of times and always found them to be really good. However, the dozen I bought this morning were all mis-shaped and the quality just was not what Im used to seeing from here.I also want to point out something really strange that occurred while I was eating my bagel inside the store this morning, a worker came out of the kitchen and ran into the bathroom to take the plunger from the bathroom into the kitchen. I dont understand what in the kitchen needed to be plunged but to take something from the bathroom to the kitchen to use really just made me lose my appetite.

I found this place on Instagram and was excited to try it because I live close by. I was wary after reading some bad reviews about customer service here (if youve seen my other reviews, you know I care about customer service). However, I was here late morning / early afternoon on a Saturday and the place was not that busy. I met one of the owners and the rest of the staff was friendly. The bagels were festive for fall and tasted good. Met my expectations for a viral internet bagel spot. Im excited to have a new local breakfast spot!

Great bagel place except they constantly mess up my orders.Ive been here about 7 times and at least 5 of those 7 times my orders has been messed up. They need to come up with a better system because I am sick of eating other peoples order haha. But I will still come back because it is good food! Also, they need to pick up on their coffee game. They have great options but the regular coffee is always empty or they run out of other coffee accessories and dont replace throughout the morning.

Fun and crazy bagel combinations! They had so many bagels and spreads and specialty recipes to choose from. Their employees were patient with me while I figured out what I wanted, making helpful suggestions, and I was happy with what I ordered. I tried the Dorito overload and a blueberry french toast bagel. Both were flavorful and the overload was huge - I ate them over 2 days. You will definitely never run out of tasty options here!

Great impression walking in the front door and they have some very unique creations (Flaming Cheetos bagels, cannoli cream cheese, and a bunch of other stuff). As a former bagel shop worker I judge a store on how it does the basics and thats where The Bagel Nook fails miserably. My pork roll (even if you call it Taylor Ham) egg, and cheese on a plain bagel was extremely disappointing. The bagel quality was equivalent to Dunkin Donuts and the meat was bland and overcooked. Insult to injury was that it took 20 minutes to get two sandwiches. It was a busy Saturday morning but come on.

Update: 15 minutes later the Manager, I’m assuming, came over and brought me the correct sandwich. He was really sincere and apologized. Me and my coworkers do go in often so he felt really bad about the whole situation. It made the experience a little better. I just hope it doesn’t happen again.Original review:I work a few stores down and I waisted my entire break waiting for one panini…. And they messed up my order. I called and was put on hold, was on hold for 7 minutes so I hung up and tried calling back but it said the line was busy (probably from my previous call) I go in to order a CaliClub Panini and everything seems fine and they know I work in the shopping center since I told them when I checked out. 15 minutes goes by and I still don’t have my panini. There were 3 people standing around just talking and one person actually making the orders. Final after another 7 minutes my food is ready but now I only have 2 minutes to even eat it. (This is why I tried calling first to order ahead but that obviously didn’t work out) So I run back to work to finally eat and my sandwich is wrong and missing ingredients. I called to say something and the guy said that the ingredients missing (avocado) aren’t part of that sandwich when it says it on their menu and on their website. I’m going back and forth and finally someone else (I’m assuming a boss of this guy) says there is supposed to be avocado and that next time I come in they’ll give it to me for free. But now I have no time to eat a sandwich I don’t even want because everything possible that could have gone bad happened. Although the food is great, I’m sad to say I won’t be coming back. I’ll be telling all my coworkers about this experience as well.

Alright. Let me tell you why I would give this place a whole 10/5 if I could!I had a procedure very early in the morning so I was fasting since the night before. Im a Type 1 Diabetic so things can hypothetically get scary if I get sick. I was in Lawrenceville with my brother and I Googled places to get a bagel after since I traditionally enjoy a bagel with whomever takes me. He saw this store and hes like, THATS WHERE WERE GOING so I was like, you sound excited so Im sure Ill be happy.Up until I got there and ordered, I felt FINE. I was only feeling pain from the procedure. So we ordered and sat right outside the store. I hold a little quarter of one of the bagels and suddenly, I get so sick to my stomach and my body freaked out. I almost threw up and couldnt get up to go anywhere because I know I would have definitely hurt myself somehow. Then, I started getting worse and eventually LAID DOWN on the pavement. It was embarrassing and painful. Then, I felt better. An employee came outside to ask me if I needed help but I was feeling okay by the time so we thanked him and told them I was alright. My brother is a doctor so he helped me get up veeeery slowly to prevent a severe drop in blood pressure. I got up and eventually sat in the chair. As soon as I am seated, I completely lose the ability to breathe. Im gasping for air and cannot speak and this is the first time this ever happened to me. It was as if I had an upper airway obstruction. It is SCARY, if youve never felt this. Another customer came out and eventually called for help after asking my brother if he should. The ambulance came and I hadnt noticed until my brother told me, but an employee came out and gave us two cold bottles of water and a Vitamin Water without us even asking and without charging us. He just came in and out like a little angel (and I truly believe in angels!).For this reason, I am going to take a drive down to get a bagel from here again, even if its a drive! We got a cannoli bagel with smores cream cheese and then a cheddar bacon bagel with bacon scallion cream cheese.I couldnt eat because I was busy trying to figure out what was going on, but about 10 after ordering the food and 20 hours of no food, I FINALLY got to eat my half for each and Im so disappointed I didnt get to eat them earlier because I would have definitely bought more and gained ten pounds this week!!I dont know the names of the individuals who came out to make me feel even more safe, more cared for, and more surrounded by love, but you guys are so great and Im grateful for your kindness—on top of your absolutely bangin bagels! 💕MIGHT I ALSO ADD: all this was during a busy shift!

The worst experience. One more than one occasion we have been given the wrong order. We have ordered egg and cheese and have been given bacon egg and cheese. We live 20min away and it is not possible to return all the time. They do not pay attention to orders placed on the phone. On another occasion they gave us plain pancakes instead of chocolate pancakes. It is disappointing as there are so few good breakfast places nearby. I hope Bagel Nook does something about being serious about taking and executing orders.

Service is fast, prices are affordable, and the food tastes good. Its also a great place to take children, since many of their bagels and cream cheeses are based on desserts or sugary cereals like Fruity Pebbles, Oreo, Captain Crunch, etc.Be aware that it is a breakfast restaurant, so they open and close earlier than most other restaurants.

Exceptionally bad service. Never had such a slow treatment. The visit was prior to covid shutdown sometime in February. We were the first in line and the only customers in an entire place when wed placed our order. It took them 40 minutes for JUST ONE BAGEL!! 40 minutes and multiple walking-ins to ask when and how much longer we need to wait. Music blasted so loud that employees couldnt hear themselves and had to shout at each other. So, here we go: 40 minutes of waiting for one bagel + loud music = bad experience. YOU HAVE ONLY ONCE CHANCE TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION!

Fun! We had a tie dye bagel with monster cream cheese (littlest one liked it), a dorito bagel with plain cream cheese (middle one loved it) and a “The Captain” off the Truck Sandwiches menu, which I enjoyed. Portions are huge! I would have happily shared the sandwich with someone. I don’t know if you can get half bagels but it would be worth it since they are so huge. A bit pricey, but that’s because they are so big! The only thing I was a little concerned about was how the cream cheeses and egg salad and stuff looked in the case. They keep it nice and cold, but the egg salad looked a bit dry and old? Some of the less popular cream cheeses looKed a bit worse for wear on the top just from how they sit in the case. I don’t know. Otherwise, I loved it and will gladly come back and recommend it. Service was very friendly too. Thanks!

No point in asking a person what they want if it’s going to be too difficult to put what they ordered in the bag. My sister in law also took the trip out and got her own separate order and a dozen bagels as well and they forgot her $9.00 cream cheese and hashbrowns that was supposed to be on a sandwich after being asked if she wanted hash browns on it. Ordering is very confusing. There are so many choices and the menus on the back wall keep changing so you are trying to read them you have a 30 second window before it changes. They do have physical menus, but they are kept by the cash register so while you are trying to figure out what you want while you are in line, they do you no good. Also I ordered a pork roll, egg and cheese on a Cheeto bagel but was given bacon instead. I dont know if this was because of miscommunication or because they dont have pork roll. There is no where in the menu where breakfast meats are listed, only that they will serve you meat with your eggs. You best bet while dealing with this place is knowing what you want before even stepping in the door, or just stick to a bagel and cream cheese.
