I have been trusting Kirby with my trucks for a couple of years now. They are honest and upfront with everything that they do. I purchased a 2004 Dodge round about June 2021 and the engine blew hauling a horse trailer not three months later. The people over at Kirby put in a brand new engine with a 100k mile warranty, keeping me updated every step of the way. Like they always do, they reached out every time there was a concern encountered that was not included in the original estimate to discuss it with me before they repaired it. There is never any pressure or condescending discussion-- they know what they are doing, they will offer their expertise but they never pressure you into anything.I am a single lady running a non-profit horse sanctuary and working a full time job on top of it so I need to be able to rely on my mechanic to keep my trucks rolling. I have not had any issues with Kirby and have only ever taken my truck somewhere else when they were so overwhelmingly busy that I had no choice. I came right back though as soon as the next issue came up.Sean and Jacob are fabulous. They were the two amazing men who helped me through the recent engine failure project. They kept me up to date and the replacement engine runs great.I highly recommend this mechanic and I appreciate the work that they do very much.

This shop went above and beyond they not only squeezed me in to a week-long busy schedule they squeezed a friend of mine who was traveling into the same week-long jam schedule and they took care of both of us quickly and rather inexpensively. I’m not sure I have ever had such an overall lovely experience with an auto shop before! Wow! I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with Kirby Automotive. Firstly, I was able to schedule an appointment on line. Secondly, when I got there I was warmly greeted-especially by Sean-who happens to have a beautiful smile and friendly disposition. I was driven home and back as a courtesy by Carissa who was awesome as well! I enjoyed her company so much that I would actually like to be friends with her in real life! Ha ha. Anyhow, the mechanical service was very thorough and I felt confident when I got my vehicle back. I highly recommend them and will certainly be back, if not just to flirt with Sean! I was visiting from out of state and my truck was making a noise. My sister has used them and recommended I take it to them. They were booked up for the day but said if I could drop off and leave it for the day they would work it in when they could. By the end of the day they called to tell me that it was only a couple of loose bolts in the suspension that needed tightened. They had checked my brakes and they were good. I value honesty and integrity. They didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need and that speaks volumes. Thank you Brian and your team for keeping me safe on the road. We had issues with my GMC Sierra when we arrived to Prescott. It would start shaking when we would come to a complete stop and the check engine light came on. It was during the weekend and we were going back to Tucson on Sunday. All of the shops were closed except for Kirby Automotive and we only had a day to figure out the problem and get it fixed before we hit the road. Brian did just that! He figured out what was wrong with it and had it fixed within a couple hours. He was very professional and reliable. We got back to Tucson safely without a single shake and no check engine light. I most definitely recommend this shop to anyone that is having car issues within the Prescott area. A++++ to Kirby Automotive and thanks again!

The folks are Kirby automotive are great and accommodating. I was in town from Phoenix this weekend and on my way up the mountain I felt like my car was really struggling when I accelerated. No one in town could look at my vehicle on short notice. Then I called Kirby and explained my situation. The gentleman was so kind. Although they were booked for the day he wanted to make sure my car was ok to get back down the mountain and asked me to drop off my vehicle. They did an inspection ( checked computer for codes and test drove) and luckily nothing was wrong. When I whipped out my card to pay they said there was no charge. I insisted I needed to pay but they said no because they didnt have to fix anything. Wow! What sweet people. If I ever need car work I seriously want to drive up to Prescott so I can give Kirby my business. Ethical and great customer service. Thank you for the peace of mind.

I took my car in because I thought my wheel bearing was going out. The employees at Kirby Automotive diagnosed my car and let me know I was right. I came in with no appointment concerned about a stuck thermostat and possibly overheating on my drive to ca. They were able to squeeze me in and do a little diagnostic on the vehicle and in no time at all he came back and told me I should be fine and indeed I was. Everyone there was friendly and the prices are very reasonable Ive found my mehanic.

They replaced the serpentine belt whichdrives my water pump, power steering, a/c and generator. A good repair at a fair price.I will head back when I need other auto service/repair.

Everyone at Kirby was very knowledgeable on the ball and from the very beginning did not want to charge me more than they needed to it was very obvious! They listen to me which is rare for automotive shop and they looked at it and saw that it was exactly what I was talking about and instead of being charged $2200 that I was quoted previously my total was, wait for it, 216 bucks!!( woo hoo )finally an automotive shop I can trust!! A very friendly staff as well really cool people! I am very impressed coming from a family of mechanics myself!! Great place. They do what is necessary very well and dont sell you what you dont need. Went in with a list of problems that Firestone said I needed. They shortened the list almost in half and corrected what Firestone didnt do correctly. Great from receptionist to mechanic.

My first thought was the battery then maybe the starter or the ignition switch. But all the lights turn on and this never happen before. At Kirby automotive, they were able to diagnose exactly the problem, it was an electrical problem. The problem fixed with some personal advice, I thank you so much. NEW REVIEW:Took wifes 2005 Jeep Wrangler in for A/C service....blowing hot air and only out the defrost vents. Kirby was ONCE again professional, courteous and thorough. The job was done well and in a timely manner without charging an arm and a leg. Will continue to use Kirby and suggest them to anyone we can.Its hard to find a good & trustworthy mechanic, but when you do, you know it. I took my 2010 F150 to Kirby for a strange front end grinding noise after they took extra good care of my inlaws when they were in town and needed help asap. The folks at Kirby took the day to repair the original issue and perform some PM that I needed done as well. All the prices were fair and reasonable. When I picked up my truck, I noticed the original issue was still audible and I notified my advisor Jacob, right away. He didnt hesitate on his apology and asked me to bring it back right away so they could make it right for me. I dropped it off the next morning using the early bird drop and the GM Brian called me back and found the noise also coming from the right side....they had it repaired the same day, but I was unable to pick up. I went back first thing Monday morning to pick up and pay for the extra time they took they spent to repair the other side. Jacob told me that there would be no extra charge because they should have found the problem the first time. I was taken aback.Unwavering Integrity is what comes to mind when I dealt with the staff at Kirby on this issue. Not only could they have made up some other issue to cover their mistake, they could have also used the opportunity to charge for work that didnt need to happen. They didnt. They chose to own their mistake, made no excuses and made it right at their expense.As far as Im concerned, they dealt with THIS customer with unwavering integrity and honesty....with me and my family. I have already told my other family and friends in town about my experience with Kirby. I will be using them again in the future for all my PM and repairs.

I wanted to use a local auto mechanic in lieu of my dealership in PHX for my Volvo. My quotes over the phone from Kirby to change oil was $69 and when I got there as scheduled, the price bumped up to $97. What is going on? I certainly wish this was a reliable auto shop with integrity so I can get all my auto service needs met here rather than having to go to PHX. But it did scare me away...

They did a great job in a timely manner at a reasonable price. Im very pleased!

I was looking at buying a vehicle out of town from where I lived and I had the owner of the vehicle get a pre purchase inspection done here (Always get a PPI done). Brian the GM took great care of me and made the process very easy. I paid the extra money to get a very detailed inspection done and it was well worth it. I was ready to leave town but my 2008 Camry Hybrid would not start. I called Kirby and they suggested I have the car towed into their shop and they would diagnose it asap. Later that afternoon I was on the road and very happy with the service I received.

After countless recommendations from people, I took my truck in to have the rear end bearings and seals replaced. Worst experience ever they do not honor the price from their website and sneak whatever charges they can into the bill. When asked about extra charges they dont respond just charge you for it anyway. Took for an oil change huge mistake my oil change light still comes on. If you want to be ripped off and screwed out of money definitely go to Kirby Automotive in Prescott Valley where they screw you. Wish I could leave no star.

Honestly the only automotive place I have ever had total satisfaction with and truly trust with my car.I took my 24 year-old Buick in twice, once for my battery completely being blown and to check my squeaky breaks and the other for an oil change. Pricing is totally in an appropriate range and they keep you up to date on your car via phone call.They do take the car out for a run to make sure everything sounds good and is running wellThey are super sweet and I highly recommend them to ANYONE who needs their car fixed. They are fast and reliable.After I had gotten my car back, I got a text on a check in about my car since they absolutely care about their customers satisfaction.Thank you guys so much, my car sounds good as new and has many more miles on the road to go!

Long story short my vehicle broke down I took it to Kirby. I was thinking it would be a smalle fix. It turned out it was much bigger. Brain from the front dest was very upfront and told me the truth. It was a big fix. I didnt have the money to put into so i decided to sell the vehicle to one of the michanics. His name is Jeff. He offered me 500 dollars. I said 600 and i would sell it. Brain said that was the deal so I purchased a new to me but used vehicle. Jeff ending up offering me 300 only after the promise of 600 and after knowing i had to take the deal. That is shady business i think people should know about.

Reviews seemed that people either loved or hated this place. I decided to roll the dice and take my car in for a basic oil change. When I got it home, I open my door and the housing to my power mirror came flopping down. However nice they may have been, I dont believe my car will be visiting here again!

Called Kirby Automotive Friday morning to ask if any openings were available, I was asked what was going on withy Van, I explained and they said they were very busy but if I drop my vehicle off they cant promise they may get to it today. When I dropped it off I explained that this was my personal and work vehicle. No vehicle no work. They called me near eand of day and had a quote put together that was surprisingly low. Discussed a plan with staff, brought my car in and chose to sit and wait in the lobby.While I was sitting there, a tech cam in to talk to a service manager and they discussed raising prices because it was a caddilac and fraudulent ways to raise my price. Not because of any issue, he suggested raising prices on everything because people expect caddilacs to have extra costs.. this is extremely shady and he just wanted to add hidden costs because of the age of the owner and the make of the car, after a contract for repairs qnd costs signed.I asked for a manager and only Brian nerell was offered, to which he couldnt be reached and only the number of the store could be provided.Staff discussed adding fraudulent charges to spring on me, unaware I was sitting about 8 feet to the left. I asked for my cehicle back as no work had started but they took it back anyway, and as I wrote this review the service manager is talking to employees and providing untrue details about what he just said. Sounds like they are going to try and pull a con job because there is no management in office to give me back my car now.

I used to be a regular customer at Kirby Automotive and go there frequently but ever since Larry and Frank left the quality of business went way down and I used to recommend them to everyone but now I won’t.

I felt I got an honest appraisal on the work that needed to be done and the job was completed in the time they said it would take.

Kirby Automotive has been a great place to take both my cars in for repairs! They are friendly, are quick to find the problem, have fair pricing & also send a follow up text after a few days. My son also enjoys their lobby area when we wait, so thats a definite plus!

Had a nasty noise coming from the front of the engine on our way back from a road trip. Tried the dealer to get a diagnosis, couldnt get us in for at least 10 days! So I did some research and found Kirbys had high marks and gave them a shot. Called right before closing and they had me in first thing in the morning next day, New Years Eve! They properly diagnosed and repaired the car in record time, the first time, even with the Holiday off, it was ready the following morning! Very satisfied with their service and would highly recommend to anyone needing quality car care! And Sean at the front desk was friendly and knowledgeable and made the whole experience painless! Im still fairly new to the area, and have just started going to Kirby Automotive, but the few times I have been so far I have been very satisfied with their level of work and customer service! They have been accommodating with my schedule, having my car done in a sufficient amount of time that doesnt inconvenience me. Bryan/Brian is very helpful in explaining what is needed and what is not, and is not overbearing when providing recommendations. Any suggestions that are provided come with detailed explanations. The waiting area is always clean and professional, and the service desk is always courteous.

Ive gone to Kirby since they opened in Prescott Valley, its sad to watch such a good business go down hill. The office staff used to be professional. Now you make an appointment and you still have to wait. No sense making an appointment here. Its just sad to see.

I have a classic car and sometimes they arent that easy to work on, They were more than happy to do the work. I have used them 3 different times and the work they did met all my expectations plus. There pricing is more than fair and will I use them again when needed.
