Great bakery department. Usually get all my cakes from here. The store is slightly dated compared to other grocery stores, especially the Customer Service area. The staff wear bright yellow and NEVER smile! They have a random robot wandering the aisles. Do not need .25 cents to get a cart/carriage like most supermarkets.

Bakery is always fresh. And the butcher knows how to sling the meat. Definitely my go to for fine meats and breads

This is easily the worst grocery store Ive ever visited. Random layout, hardly stocked. The aisle signs only read from one direction. I am writing this as my ice cream melts in the back of my car because Im just beside myself.

I have visited grocery stores through the U.S., even throughout Europe. Never have I seen a store asking their customers to PAY to RENT a shopping cart for their own store.Given the pandemic, nobody carries cash anymore. Let alone change. On the way back to my car, annoyed, I’d never think I’d be praying to find a quarter in my cup holder.Please abolish this, what’s seems like, a decades-old practice. It’s a complete headache for new customers, even though it’s just for one quarter.(At least some carts have a cup holder #SilverLining)The store itself is extremely outdated, customer service seems ok, sale products seem decent but I think a store card is needed, something new customers don’t have.

Stop and shop is a great supermarket to go with your family. they have EVERYTHING! dairy products, veggies, meat, cleaning material and more. come with your sister, come with your mom, come with your cousins they have EVERYTHING! they snacks, they deserts, they have isles of Frigidaires with many products. they are smart! they know which product needs cooling and which isnt.

I shop here every week. The store appearance is clean and organized. I do wish items were replenished more often. I know if I go shopping in the evening I will not find all the items I need versus if I go during the day. I would like to recognize Darryl at the customer service desk. Anytime I go there, whether I have an issue or if I am utilizing a service, he is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He is a great example for the rest of the staff, and for others who deal with customers on a daily basis. This is the type of behavior that creates repeat customers.

Love this store. Its so big, bigger than any Kingston grocery store. And they had what Ive been looking all over for!!!

Probably the worst grocery store in the area. Shelves are not restocked consistently, produce is poor quality and not stocked. If you shop here you will have to stop at another store on the way home.

So me and my cousins went Bc we ran out of chocolate chips but there was this old lady that worked there with gray hair and she was such a Karen. She told us “no u have to get 3 bags to get the price off the chips” then we told her we didn’t want 3 bags respectfully, then she gave us a bad look the rest of the time we were there.

Im revising my review of Stop & Shop upping it from 3 stars to 4. I dont think 3 was a fair assessment of the store. The positives of this store are:- has almost everything from food to being a virtual chain drug/automotive/hardware store.- very good prices on produce and high quality produce.- extremely well organized, easy to find whatever you are looking for.- Fairly wide aisles. Provided other shoppers dont think they are the only ones in the store, you dont have to squeeze by anyone- Clean. Though the wandering robot that checks for clean up areas is annoying and forces unrelenting announcements when it finds a mess.- Stop & Shop gas rewards points. Im always getting at least a $.20 discount when filling up my tank.The negatives are:- Tons of processed foods (though some folks may like this), not enough minimally processed offerings.- Organic section is somewhat limited and fairly expensive, although thats unfortunately to be expected everywhere.- Not enough variety of in-store prepared meals although they always have roasted chickens available.- Lots of self-serve checkout lanes but sometimes too few actual cashiers.- very difficult to get someone tothe bottle return area.

Always a good experience, clean store, fresh produce, and meat departments. Always have what Im looking for.

The store is well organized and easy to navigate. The food at the hot food bar was subpar and the supposed to be pesto chicken empanadas were mislabeled and ended up being chipotle empanadas. The fish section was strongly scented throughout the corner of the store of old fish. No people at the help center either.

I really use to like this store. But recently, its become more costly and most of the staff isnt friendly. Ive gone several times in the last few months, Ive only had 2 that act as though they were appreciative to have a job and know that the customers needs are why they there in the first place. Most of them have solemn faces and hardly even send you off with a greeting. The person today, who stood at the door didnt greet me neither when I arrived nor left... and I had to do that twice. I see why the lines are extremely short. Now, thats a sad solemn occasion.

Considering the era that we are currently in, the shelves are well stocked. They have a everything pretty well organized and a good system in place to control the flow ok w and maintain social distance.

Good store. Usually very clean. Everyone seems to complain about Marty the robot. Personally the robot is just another part of the store. Once you experience its presence its completely harmless and kind of fun to have around. I believe its a safety manager of some sort. My kids get a kick out of it. So people just move along if a simple robot seems intrusive. Human staff here is pretty polite too.

Didnt have what I was looking for, but I found something I needed.

Overall, I love Stop and Shop but lately they have been hiring some miserable cashiers. Unfortunately, those great cashiers that are really customers oriented you can count on 1 hand. Barbara is the best cashier to go to, just a sweetheart! She has been there for years! I believe his name Jake, he is nice too and Carly have been always helpful.

The cashiers here are always super friendly and accommodating and kind. I had such a great experience this morning with the cashier Amanda. Thank you for being a warm, welcoming face. 🙂 Its great to see that there are still sweet people out there. Thank you for checking me out even though your light was out and you were most likely about to go on break. I really appreciate it.

Nice selection of produce. Good variety of items in most sections. Seafood Dept. is not exciting. One of the last supermarkets around where you still need a quarter to get a shopping cart.

Great selection, but only three registers open in a Friday evening. Two of the registers were express, and one was allowing people with way more than 12 items. We dont live in the area so we arent sure if this service level is normal.

It was not crowded and it was really clean. There were alot of produce that was not out. There scanning guns where not working.

A few none masks but ok today still not fully stocked

I picked up a 15 dollar pork roast got home to make it for dinner and when opening up the plastic a stench filled the room that was horrible. I took it back to stop and shop and the manager only gave me back a 10 dollar gift card for it and it was 15 dollars. I feel this was a very unfair thing to do on behalf of stop and shop. I feel I should of gotten back all of my monies for this spoiled meat. Shame on u stop and shop for not doing the right thing. I brought this at the stop and shop on south road in poughkeepsie NY

Went here today for healthy food because I figured theyd have a better selection than Price Chopper. The store is big and clean and had no issues finding what I was looking for. Checking out was fast and easy and staff was nice. I would go here again.

My main supermarket! Very pleased with the assortment of goods, and always have everything Im looking for. Especially love the shopping guns. Only complaint is that sometimes theyre out of order.

Im giving one star for their horrible self checkout. Took like ten minutes to buy less than ten items. Huge lines at the registers so self checkout seemed easy enough. Never had so many issues. Never had this issue at any other Stop and Shop. Good store self checkout will make me never return to this location.

There is something going on with the dairy department the past several months. Picked up about 10 yogurts, put in my cart about 8 weeks ago and then noticed they were all expired anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks prior. Went back to look for non-expired ones and found about 15 more. Reported it to Customer Service. Then a trip or 2 later found about 10 expired cottage cheese, again reported it. Went in yesterday 8/3/2019, in a hurry didnt bother to look at the half gallon of half & half I purchased. Opened it this morning and smell almost knocked me over! It had expired on 7/23/2019. Called and again reported to customer service. Really!

Love the layout of the store! Its always clean. Free flow in the isles. They stock from name brand to economic brand. Everything is properly labeled as it relates to prices.

Not my favorite Stop n Shop as I have had problems with deli service in the past and they often Ron out of sale items. I like the Hyde Park store much better. The prepared food and deli people are the best.

I always love Stop &Shop because they always have what I need and theyre always so friendly. Ive also found that if theres something I want and theyre out of the sale item, it so simple to grab a raincheck for the next time Im in the area. Very convenient place.

Its a medium-size, full-service supermarket. In most regards, its not too far out of the ordinary. Just as with the one in Arlington, you can get good deals here if you have and use the discount card and shop carefully. If you shop without the discount card, or just grab whatever without looking at price, you will probably overpay.

Im always at this store, I have to say its a life saver when you need something for a special occasion like flowers, they have gorgeous bouquets and arrangements, they have alot of different stuff.Food prices are very reasonable also and I like going here because its clean and friendly.

On 6/18/2019 I went food shopping at this stop and shop location, I used the self check out gun . When it was time to check out and we put the scanner at the check out register., we were stop for a random check. the head cashier came over and proceeded to take all the groceries out the bag and starter to check out everything again. It was not a problem until I realize that this was the 2nd time in 2 wks we were stop for random check. first of all we are a black senior couple, I hope that this is not racial profiling. I am really concern. I told the person in charge who came over to assist that I dont plan to return to this location and any other stop and shop. I will tell all my friends and family to stay away from this business. There are too many other supermarkets and places like Adams and farmer locations that bend over backwards to please their customer.Thanks but NO THANKS YOUR PRICES ARE NOT THE CHEAPEST AND YOUR SENIOR STAFF LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRE.

Every time I shop at this store, I am sorry I did. I think the cashiers are trained to be rude. If Adams in poughkeepsie sold everything, I would be buying everything there. They actually know how to treat customers.

The store is nice inside. Unfortunately, it often has long checkout lines. They need to either have more lanes open or have more help packing. Preferably both.

I love it here, its always clean and such a large selection of products and goods. Sales everywhere.

This is the closest grocery store for me so I frequent this quite a bit and everybody always seems to be quite Pleasant here

Good prices, fresh products, frequent sales, and much more. The only thing that heavily disappoints me is walking out to staff members who are vaping or smoking, and act as if they are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. I have complained to management about this, but they refused to take action due to my lack of evidence, as it is done in an area where cameras are absent.
