Great place to get some authentic thai /chinese /japanese products . I love the karpaw (Dumplings ) with shrimp amazing!!!
Staff is so helpful, they will recommend items to you, and are willing to order things they may not have.
Friendly staff helped us out and had everything we needed!
Helpful and great selection. I got dumpling wrappers and various refrigerated noodles.
Welcome Oriental is truly a hidden gem in the area. Relocating here from NYC has taken a lot of getting used to, lifestyle-wise. I havent found anything else within an hour or twos driving distance that stocks the vital Asian essentials that I can find here. The owners are super friendly; and they even carry fresh vegetables like my beloved bitter melon!
They had everything I was looking for! Can’t wait to go back, staff is very nice!
Although the place is small but the owner is wonderful. He will help you find what you looking for or even sometimes he places an order and bring them to you from the city with no extra charges. I have been shopping here for Asian ingredients since I have moved to Hudson Valley. The price is far better than order from Amazon.
Can’t believe I just discovered this after years of living in the area. A true gem, feels like a grocery store in Chinatown. Has a large selection of Chinese, Thai, Korean, Filipino and Japanese staples for a small shop. Family owned and super friendly. Very happy this is here!!!
This is a small family business, they are very nice and have everything I look for and more! I will definitely be returning soon
The only reason I didnt give this place 5 stars is because of the size and the amount of empty boxes everywhere. Otherwise, this is my go to asian market in the area. The family that runs it keeps most stuff in stock that anhone could need for asian cooking and has no problem special ordering or picking up something for you from their suppliers. Very friendly and outgoing.
Very nice hole in the wall asian grocery store. Not very big, but the variety is very solid. I was able to find ALL my favorite curry ingredients here. Love the place and the staff is very nice.
Went here for all of my needs while I was a student living in Poughkeepsie from across the country. The owner is a very attentive and helpful gentleman who will help you get everything you need; the selection is also wide and varied. Coming here saves me a trip from going down to NYC for my asian food pick-me-up. I highly recommend this quaint shop. Thank you!!!
First and Last time I will make the hour trip. The place was dirty, junky, unkempt with empty boxes piled up. The food I was expecting to buy was not there given by someone’s high rating - the owners obviously didn’t care about quality, presentation or image.
Love this market! Very helpful and kind people. Authentic food.
I love the owner, theyre always asking if we need their help
A small quaint market in the area. Best place to find all the Asian condiments, non perishable foods, packaged snacks and frozen dumplings. They also have ube ice cream and a small section of fresh produce
Small store but excellent selection and very pleasant & helpful staff!
Great little Asian market. Very helpful staff (owners). Dont let signs fool you, at first I thought they were closed but they are certainly NOT. The dry cleaner next door is closed but signage above is misleading. I called and owner came out to greet me in the parking lot. Helped me with my kim chi supplies.
Great little Oriential store.. Very friendly staff that is willing to help. Lots of items to choose from.. Very clean... Lots of parking
Small, but welcoming Asian market. Nice stock for the tight quarters, and sweet people too.
Great place!
LOVE THIS PLACE! The owners went out of their way to get me some noodle sheets and told me how to prepare them, too. Good products and awesome service :)
Reasonable and very friendly owner. If you cannot find it just ask him. Even it is small, you will get what you need.
So many good things here
Good place to get hard to come by Chinese spices and sauces
Been going to this store for years! Lovely people and very helpful
Best source for east asian food.
Wonderful Asian Market! The owners are always so pleasant and helpful. Great selection and every Saturday morning they receive a shipment of fresh noodles, vegetables and meats. I love chatting with them and learning new recipes and tips. Well worth stopping in!
I have been shopping here for years..I can find everything I need and the owners are very kind, helpful people..
Always helpful and we’ll stocked for general Asian cooking and foods
Very nice place to shop. The owner and his family are always helpful and the store is well stocked.
This little shop is packed full of Asian foodstuffs that I just cant find anywhere else in the area. Authentic Japanese and Chinese cooking sauces, veggies, and a great selection of frozen dumplings. If you use Asian ingredients regularly, this store will have most of what you need. If you dont, its certainly worth a visit as there are prepared foods. On Sundays the owner travels down to NYC chinatown and brings back a lot of goodies. Supply is very limited so make sure to get there before noon or itll be gone fast.
Relatively small but they carry fresh and dry goods that mostly needed.Prices are almost just what you would find in some NJ Asian stores. The owner and his family are friendly and helpful.
Fantastic quality Asian market. Every Saturday, they get a large shipment of ready-made food and produce. Good prices, wide selection.
Helpful and friendly. Somewhat on the more expensive side compared to the Asian stores in Albany and Westchester. Stocked with dry ingredients. Not very much in the way of fresh fruit, vegetables, or perishables. Cooked foods on the weekend is great.
If youre into Asian food and Asian groceries,, this is the store to go to they have many items every Saturday the owner goes down to Chinatown or early early early in the morning gets back by 1 brings back so much awesome food from Chinatown that you cant get up here every Saturday I got a chance Im there at 1 to 1:30 the Bible that great food and its all fresh and made most of it is still warm when he gets back from Chinatown, in New York City,, the owner and his wife are two of the greatest people giving want to meet their very nice and very helpful
A hidden gem of a spot that carries all manner of Asian items. Great management and selection of authentic Asian foods. I will be back for certain.
Owner was very helpful, given the community size it is an absolute gem. Got my favorite Thai curry paste with no problem !!
The only local that had Japanese radishes!
Some really yummy snacks and soup. I suggest any of the penang soups
Really good little store. You can find here pretty much everything. Fresh produce on Saturdays
Great staff, very helpful with many products
What a cute place! To the reviewer who said they are overpriced compared to flushing queens. Hes right, It is cheaper in queens. theres a bit more competition....like one on every corner.Never experienced them not open during business hours, but occasionally you wait in a line to pay.Ive been going for a couple years now, always a pleasure.they are so very nice, and the selection is good. Sometimes they run out of specific items, they reorder when asked (yes, they speak English fine)I get fresh baby Bok Choy, different noodles, curry, etc. love it! My biggest problem is not being able to read the labels... Wish they had some English translation labels, (and maybe cooking instructions) I would buy lots more. I just dont know how to look up Asian recipes (yes, cooking impaired)I think times are tight there, because there are a couple refrigerator cabinets that are not running that were operating in previous years.Rating lost a star due to lack of translations, and the kids that are occasionally around are not that helpful. I want one to come up to me and ask if I need help.
William the owner is pretty cool. Their prices are some of the best in the area for most items.
Small store but they have all the essentials if you’re looking to make pho. They are always very nice and reasonably priced.
Nice place nice people very friendly
Love this place. We stop by often because they have things that you cant get in the supermarket
As a student at Vassar College hailing from a city with a big asian population this place has been a lifesaver. There isnt that much in terms of good asian food in this area -- the best restaurants are either far away or expensive. But if you want to cook your own, this place is all you need. Their produce is fresh and competitively priced, and they also offer many items which I cant find anywhere else. The best part, though, is that every Saturday they bring in fresh dim sum and other goodies from the city. Get there before noon if you want to get the best selection of that stuff, because it goes quickly.
Great place ! Always has fresh hard to find produce and dry goods.
Good
The place to go for Chinese food on Saturday pickup after 1:00 PM only. When you arrive youll understand.
Small Asian grocery, but good selection and helpful owner.
Variety of asian products and good prices
Best and cheapest place around for authentic thai ingredients A+++ thank you!!!
This tiny store doesnt want your business. Never opens on schedule, and most items are OVERPRICED. In fact, they charge at least 30% more than most asian supermarkets in Flushing or Queens, NY. Make sure you check the expiration date of the food you purchase, because on many occasions they have food expired more than 1 year ago on sale. The owner and his son looks unhappy and especially his oldest son, very rude to customers. They never gives you a receipt, unless you ask them repeatly. I try my best to avoid this tiny store, and would rather drive 80 miles to Queens and shop in chinese supermarkets that are at least 50 times bigger, for some fresh quality grocery which are priced more reasonable. After counting tolls, gas and time spent, its still more economical to go to those big supermarket in Queens.
Variety of many products
Had what I needed when no one else did.
Enjoy Asian foods.
Would be nice if the aisles were wider, can get very crowded during a certain time on the weekend when the city food comes in.
Convenient
Best Oriental Market Ever!
A bit unclean. Only two aisles, so the selection is limited.
Great selection great owners
Great oriental selections!!
Hidden gem, dont tell anyone
Very good
Got what i needed
