Impeccable cakes. Better than the cakes weve bought throughout Brooklyn and Queens over the years. Not only do they taste amazing but they also design beautiful cakes. I sent them a screenshot of a cake I wanted for our baby shower and they designed it even more beautiful than what I sent them (pics attached). Attached is also our wedding cake from The Pastry Garden — absolutely delicious. Vanilla cake with pineapple filling and another tier had lemon cake with strawberry preserve and peach preserves. They also deliver the cakes to you and their prices are highly competitive. I cant ask for more. All of our guests always rave about how great their cakes are when we order from here. Worked with Lisa each time, she is a gem and is very accomodating. We are so grateful to have found this exceptional bakery and will forever be a loyal customer.

Dont let the word pastry in the name of the shop confuse you. They are so much more than pastries. If youre in the neighborhood of this lovely bakery shop stop in. Once you open the door your heart will be fluttering. The aromas are amazing! I was looking for something a little special and I asked this sweet girl at the counter and she went and got the owner who came out and spoke with me. This is the kind of service that we need more of. I highly recommend this wonderful shop. The pictures do not do justice to the wonderful cookies for sale here.

We knew instantly upon meeting with the owner, Stephanie, that we would not have to worry about a thing when it came to our wedding cake. She was so amazing and helpful. She took so much time to sit with us and make sure the cake was exactly what we wanted for our big day! I would not have wanted any other bakery doing our wedding cake. There were so many options to choose from and just as we thought it would be, the cake was delicious on the day. The design was exactly what I had asked her for. They did an amazing job. I heard from so many of our guests how much they loved it. I would definitely recommend the Pastry Garden for any event!

As part of our package with Le Chambord we received a wedding cake from Pastry Garden and we were so excited as they have been a staple in my husbands family for special occasions for years. Our consultation was super smooth and they really accommodated our requests and made suggestions that we hadn’t thought of. We were looking for something pretty simple and they did a perfect job on the design. The cake itself was absolutely delicious; get the white chocolate mousse, it’s to die for! They were amazing, highly recommend them for anything not just weddings!

I usually travel down to the city to get my cakes. But this year I chose to stay local and I’m glad I did. I purchased two cakes for my sons birthday. They were delicious and moist. We feel so lucky that our venue works with the pastry garden! The cake made for our wedding was absolutely perfect in every way - the design, the taste, and craftsmanship! The staff is so friendly and easy to talk to and they listened to me and my husband to make sure they had everything just right!! We only had 30 people taste the cake this year for our COVID wedding, but I’m pretty sure every single one of them LOVED it! (My dad said it was the best wedding cake he’d ever had..!!!) totally recommend the spice flavor, it’s better than you can imagine!

I went in to this store, on an idea what I would my sons first birthday cake to look like. It look so beautiful and perfect !! I am not a big fan on frosting because it can be to much sugar for me.. that wasnt a problem here. The cake taste amazing and the frosting was so good. I will definitely be coming back to The Pastry Garden.

Our family happened by the Pastry Garden while out for dinner nearby. We decided to get breakfast pastries for the following morning. We all chose from the delicious assortment of cookies and pastries. All were enjoyed and appreciated. Very good selection and variety for everyone.

We got the confetti cake with vanilla custard filling and it was a delicious surprise for our guests! The ordering process was simple and easy. The staff was helpful and the cake was obviously amazing. It was decorated beautifully! It looked like a cake straight off of Pinterest! The cake itself was delicious! Moist and had the right amount of sweetness! I would highly recommend them!

My husband and I are not cake people. However, we could not believe how tasty and mouth watering our wedding cake turned out to be. It was one of the few cakes that literally we left nothing on the plate. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. It came as part of our package with our venue, the Feast at Roundhill. We had vanilla cake, vanilla buttercream, and strawberries. Our guests keep raving about the cake a week later.

This is such a cute, clean and friendly place. I went for the vegan options. Their cupcakes are delicious. I tried the chocolate with vanilla frosting, vanilla with chocolate frosting, and vanilla with vanilla frosting and they were amazing. Staff is very helpful and so nice. Will be returning for sure.

Man, I had the best danish I’ve ever had from this bakery. These ladies are wonderful and excellent customer service. The baked goods are fantastic, presentation is flawless and good prices. Definetly worth the stop by for the first time. Just sucks this plaza is always super busy now so parking is scarce lol

DO NOT GET YOUR WEDDING CAKE HERE. We contacted the Pastry Garden to make a cake for our August wedding 6 months in advance. We gave them our date, arranged delivery times, paid for samples, and spoke at length about what we wanted our cake to look like. When we picked out cake and filling we asked the lady who had been helping us over that month if we could place our order. She informed us she didn’t need the order until one month before the wedding. I called back early last week to place our order (2 months in advance to be on the safe side) and the same women informed us in the most rude way possible that they couldn’t deliver that day, wouldn’t allow us to pick up the cake either because they wouldn’t have time to make our cake. WHY wouldn’t they have told us this originally?! We spent money with them, arranged plans with them and they just screwed us by denying our cake at the last second. If you want to ruin your wedding by having to find a new bakery to make your cake at the last second, go with this bakery. They are rude, unprofessional, and sincerely just want your money.

If you want an slice of cake good luck because they only sale the whole cake. And when they sale a slice is becase they havent sale that cake in weeks. Shame on you pastry Garden.

I cannot say enough about the cake I ordered as well as the service, Lisa was amazing to work with. I ordered a cake for my sons West Point Graduation, sent a picture of what I wanted snd it surpassed my expectations! Not only did it look amazing but it tasted amazing too! I would recoup the Pastry Garden to anyone!

The cakes are average - I could make the same cakes at home and the taste would be the same. The shopping plaza they relocated to is always busy so expect to park far from the store. The manager Mary is extremely rude and difficult to deal with. For quality of their cakes, this place is not worth the hassle.

My husband and I are so glad we went with Pastry Garden for our wedding cake. They were so easy to work with - especially since our venue and PG coordinated delivery, etc. For the cake, the owner suggested that PG would pipe on flowers rather than us get fake flowers for the cake, and they came out BEAUTIFUL! We ordered our wedding cake from Pastry Garden. I wanted a cake that represented winter but not something that would take over. Simple, elegant, yet stunning. I could not have been more happy with the cake they made us. Not only was it everything I could have imagined, it tasted amazing.

What an incredible pastry shop. I LOVE their ice cream cake and moose covered brownies. The staff is very helpful. I have been there for 5 different occasions now in 2017 and every purchase has been a hit.

We literally just finished our cake tasting with Steph and I had to immediately run and write a review. I have literally never met such a nice person she was so accommodating letting us try any flavor we wanted and her covid policy was such a relief knowing that we wouldn’t have to worry about anything should it be cancelled. My husband and I had a exceptional experience with The Pastry Garden from the first day we had inquired to our big day. Wedding planning alone is stressful and even more so during a pandemic, but they were so helpful and kind with any questions, thoughts, or concerns we had leading up to the wedding day. Our cake was included in our wedding venue package, but we had paid an extra fee for a flavor upgrade and boy did it deliver! Our cake was gorgeous and delicious, we got so many compliments on it. I will definitely order baked goods from them in the future!

The scent grabs you as soon as you walk in- soo delightful. There are many cake flavor options and even cookies and I spotted a few macarons and blondies.

I described what I wanted over the phone and they did it even better than what I had in mind, Mary and Lisa were so helpful, I would definitely recommend this place to everyone I know!

The Pastry Garden did an amazing job on our wedding cake! When we came in for our tasting, we had such a personalized experience and they did a fantastic job taking our vision and hearing our preferences and turning it into a beautiful, delicious cake. Would highly recommend!

We really wanted to love this place, and we were so excited when we walked in and saw how beautiful everything looked. We ordered a bunch of different items to sample their wares. Unfortunately, every item tasted like generic grocery store baked goods—cheap quality and insanely over-sweet. The beautiful iced sugar cookie was disgusting: the cookie had a crumbly powdery texture and tasted only of flour, and the icing was rock hard. A couple different cookies were also too sweet and hard. The petit four was tender and moist, but way too sweet. I was surprised that their cupcake was frosted with cheap hydrogenated icing rather than buttercream—tasted so artificial we ended up throwing it (and everything else) away. 3 stars instead of 1 because a) everything *looked* gorgeous, b) the staff person was very kind and friendly, c) the prices were good, and d) I know there are lots of people who like this style of baked goods.

They did an amazing job on my wedding cake.

Purchased a small Raspberry Layer Cake which was stale. White cake was not moisture at all and was starting to get hard. My daughter mentioned that the rose on the cake tasted horrible. I did not believe her until I tried it.. It tasted like metallic. Absolutely disgusting. To top it off!!!! They spelled my daughters name wrong. How can you spell Olivia wrong!!! Young inexperienced workers...Unfortunate! Because I had ordered numerous cakes from The Pastry Garden for special occasions like both of my daughters baptisms, etc... I will think twice for our next event.

This is our second time visiting the area and I will make a stop at the Pastry Garden every single time. Its been a long time since I found somebody who makes such an amazing eclair. We sampled a few other items on our visits and everything has been amazing. I cant wait to come back!

My coworker is vegan and we ordered a cake with fresh strawberries and vanilla icing. I am not vegan so I am always a bit skeptical when trying new things and recipes however I was pleasantly surprised with this cake! You would never guess it’s vegan. It was absolutely delicious.

Purchased a Birthday cake with Marilyn Monroes image for my Daughters Birthday. This was the first time I have purchased a cake from Pastry Garden. The experience was great from start to finish. The young lady that helped me with the ordering process was wonderful. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

Not happy at all. Ordered a 10 cake for my fiances Birthday. Mind you 42.95 with candles and not one rose. Really? For that price there should have been a few. Its butter cream, youre telling me that they couldnt swing a few roses for that price? We also said one layer of coconut mousse and one layer of lemon. What we received were two layers of lemon. Usually a go to spot for great tasting cakes. Maybe an off day for them.

The best wedding cake we’ve ever had. Our guest raved about our cake. It wasn’t very traditional, devil cake with raspberry mouse and cream cheese, it was to die for. Cant wait to get our freshly made wedding topper after one year. If the bakery wasn’t so far, we would be here often.

Friendly, helpful staff. I have gotten bakery items here previous to this visit and were mostly pretty good. I got mini cupcakes for my 5 yos birthday for school. They were larger than I expected and reasonably priced. The cupcakes were beautiful- colorful, glittery and quintessentially girly- which is exactly what I asked for. She was very excited for how pretty they were... unfortunately she was not a fan of the flavor of the frosting, so she ended up being disappointed (she doesnt particularly enjoy cake). I did not get to taste them as they were for her school class, but I assume it was a personal preference vs a problem with the cupcakes in general. Im sure I will be returning to the bakery in the future!

Cant leave the plaza without stopping in. We had their carrot cake for our wedding and have been coming back for it since. Everything we try is awesome. Always a pleasant staff and experience.

So I ordered a birthday cake and a coconut cream pie for my wifes birthday. I got a birthday cake which was amazing!!!Unfortunately, I got a coconut custard pie. Completely different from what I wanted. I used to always go to this place when it was near Adams but honestly, I am so disappointed with the fact that my order was wrong for my wifes birthday. Dont think I will go back. Thats not to say that the cake that was made was phenomenal. Make sure you know what you ordered so you dont bring the wrong thing home.

Nice staff, but the food looked like it had been in the fridge for some time. Plus, I ordered and brownie and drove 30 mines back to my brothers & it was not in my packages. Leaving the next day, calling to mention it made little sense. Underwhelming experience, but what was purchased tasted ok.

Based on recent experience I am revising my review. Would like to share my experience - they are good in area but with false promise. Never put order for Monday pickup you wont get fresh cake and as they will bake it on Saturday and not Sunday unless you find out you wont realize that you are getting a day before baked cake when you are paying 4 times than normal bakery shop. Front desk is very rude and they feel they are not responsible for what is baked, but she forgot she representing the pastry garden no matter what is her role in shop. IT SPOILED MY SONS BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AT HIS SCHOOL BECAUSE OF MISTAKE FROM PASTRY GARDEN, AT LAST MOMENT I COULDNT ODER FRESH CUPCAKES FROM ANYWHERE ELSE. BIG NO FOR PASTRY GARDEN IN FUTURE BECAUSE OF THEIR FALSE PROMISE, MISLEADING INFORMATION AND SUCH A RUDE BEHAVIOR.

I had a baby shower cake made last year in April 2015, and it was beautiful! Tasted so great, everyone seemed to enjoy it. My son is turning one, and I figured since the last cake turned out so great I would order from pastry garden again. Well, I called two weeks ahead of the party, and described what I wanted for the cake. Called back a few days later to find out my plan could not be found so a nice young lady took my order again. She was very polite and patient with our order. Must have been the manager who called me back to confirm I wanted Elmo drawn on my sons cake rather than Elmos face... I asked her politely what would work best on a cake that size, and she was just so rude for the rest of the conversation. Her attitude over the phone was nasty and I couldnt believe it. I was very disappointed to be treated like this after the fact the cakes cost came to $96.00. I wanted to make sure everything is right and hope that this cake comes out just as great as my first cake, because if not they have lost a customer.

We loved our cake from the Pastry Garden. It was included in our package with FEAST, our venue, and we went up to Poughkeepsie one Sunday to do the self-tasting. We thought we wanted vanilla with strawberry filling, but found the strawberry to be too gooey and fake tasting so we went a different direction. One bite of the marble cake and we were completely sold. We ended up choosing marble cake with vanilla and chocolate custard and it was so tasty. We did a simple buttercream design and our florist added fresh flowers to complete the look. The Pastry Garden was so easy to work with and the cake tasted great- highly recommend!

My very long time experienceS have always always been fabulous. Why, oh why, did this referreal to a friend for an extremely important cake have to be Soo bad? From taste to look it just was not your cake. I couldnt even eat my piece. Embarrassed i was.

I like it. I got the little seven layer cake for my sisters birthday its her favorite, it was tasty but very dry Im not sure if it was fresh. I love Petit fours but every time I buy them here the paper is stuck to the icing and when I peel the paper back the icing comes off the petit four which only leaves icing on the top. I mentioned to them that they should allow them to dry before they put them into the paper cup oh, that would alleviate the problem, however it does take more time. I like that they have samples out because you get to try things that maybe you normally wouldnt

Was here Christmas Eve and the line was out the door! The ran out of many items but we had gotten what we came for. We wanted breakfast items for Christmas morning. My husband got a couple Apple turnovers which he said was very good and I got a blueberry & cheese strudel which was out of this world. The staff was very friendly and patient. I will definitely go back.

Really nice service! Today I ordered my gender reveal cake and it was a great experience, they were the only bakery who knew what a gender reveal cake was and they could have it done right by the party date. Also picked up some cupcakes which were great, super excited for my cake!

Ordered a cake for my sons baptism. Cake color was supposed to be light blue and grey. Cake was navy blue and white. I also paid for delivery and was noted on the signed paperwork delivery would happen between 9-10am. I got the cake at 10:45am. I spoke to someone over the phone to find out where the cake was and told that the delivery window on the paperwork was wrong - they need 3-4 hours. Pretty poor communication given the time sensitivity of getting to the church for the baptism. Wouldnt recommend or order from again.

Great selection of sweets and cakes. Nestled in the corner of the plaza like a sweet suprise. Staff is attentive and personal and take the time to ask and answer questio s that you may have about your special day and the dessert that will represent it.

Horrible experience with this bakery!!! I called 2 months in advance about a custom graduation cake and was told to call back a week before.It is now 9 days before my sons party and I am told it is too late????Will never go to this bakery again but will go out of my way to inform others of this inexcusable treatment.

Picked up my cake for my husbands birthday!Name was spelled wrong. (SCHISLIER) supposed to be Schisler. The rude girl at the front said we didnt know if this was the right spelling. I said so you just decided to spell it the way you thought it should be, why would you call me an ask completely unprofessional. She then returned it to have it fixed I waited a few minutes later she returned and the name is still spelled wrong. She removes the ( I)from the beginning not the end. I was even more frustrated the second time and I told her its still spelled wrong. She then went and told me that she specifically asked me which one to remove and I told at the wrong one. Clearly I know how to spell my own last name. she was completely rude and unprofessional and it was just completely unacceptable. She did have the designer fix the name again but after fixing it twice by the third time it looked sloppy. As I was leaving she yelled out have a nice day, In a very sarcastic tone. I have already paid for another cake to be picked up in July for my daughters first birthday, Im very uneasy and nervous for this cake due to the unprofessionalism that Ive witnessed. This person is our first thing someone sees when they walk in your front line person, they set the bar for the entire place and shes completely rude thats unacceptable. If for any reason the cake for my daughters first birthday is not to my liking or I have another experience with unprofessionalism at this place I will never go to the pastry garden again. the only reason why I gave you a three stars is because the cake is exactly how I wanted it to look like, and they did fix the mistake the first time, but having it needing to be fix a second time and having to have someone extremely rude at the front desk completely changed my mind about the pastry garden you should evaluate your staff and reconsider who you put out your front desk.
