Was very knowledgeable about the different types of mattresses and thorough without pressuring the sale. Even came back the next day to purchase. Next day delivery. The website does have some issues though. Overall it was a great experience.

One of the things I like the most was he actively listened to us and our concerns. At one point we tried to compare 2 mattresses but one was on a different frame and would not raise like the first one. He and his co-worker switched the mattress to a frame that could tilt, they gladly did so.There was no high pressure sales pitch which was greatly appreciated. We needed a new mattress and did not want to spend thousands so we went to Mattress Firm. And are so happy we did. The salesmen were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I came in here about a week ago. Shaheem was incredibly helpful and professional. He showed me several options and was patient with my questions and getting me more information when requested. He really does a great job and the company doesn’t deserve him, frankly.Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with one of the mangers. When I walked in, there were no customers in the store and this manager looked at me with complete disinterest.. It was very clear that he did not want to have any interaction with me. He barely told me anything about the floor models. He didn’t ask what I was looking for, my price range, or any other questions relevant to selling a mattress. The rudeness and indifference were noted. I walked to the other end of the store to get the help I needed from the great associate I mentioned above and he was happy to help. Once the manager saw that it was interested in buying a mattress, he feebly attempted to insert himself into my conversation and it was awkward and grating. I was in the store for about 45 minutes and this manger went outside for cigarettes and to make phone calls for the majority of the time. When it was time for him to actually be helpful about a very direct, simple pricing question. His answer was “no one ever really charges.” Just say you don’t know the price or you don’t have the information. I wasn’t looking to make an under-the-table deal, please. I decided I would tale my chances with the website but once I thought more about it, I decided I never wanted to give these people my money. I will likely end up getting a much more expensive mattress from another retailer but I am happy the money will not go to this company.If your interested in being profiled by unprofessional managerial staff, this is the place for you. If not, please choose another option.

One of the most uncomfortable and awkward shopping trips ever. Initial salesman let us know immediately he had only been there for 2 weeks and it was quite obvious. He tried his best to answer our questions but consistently had that deer in the headlights look. When the experienced salesman came over, it was as if we were on a used car lot. We heard the infamous line that the sale was only good today and all we needed to do was to leave a refundable $25.00 deposit to lock in on the sale price.When we were told the sale price, my daughter showed him the price of the exact mattress on THEIR website and all we heard was ummmm. We finally gave up and left.

Such a nice, big showroom with a wonderful selection- it’s hard to pick! Place was absolutely spotless as well with sanitation stations available and clear distancing indications on the floor. Kyle helped us; he was absolutely spot-on with his suggestions, made everything fun and easy, and really took care of us. Would highly recommend!

I had the opportunity to visit the Mattress Firm store in Poughkeepsie today. I was greeted by Emily who was very welcoming. Emily was able to provide me with some education around solutions for the right mattress and was able to answer all the questions that I had. While doing this she also was not too aggressive in trying to just sell me a mattress. Ironically because of this I felt comfortable and confident in purchasing a mattress the same day. He helped us decide on a Hybrid mattress as I like soft and my husband likes firmer and we didn’t want to spend a fortune. He showed us several different kinds of mattresses after listening to our concerns and expectations for our bed. He also knew when to leave us alone when we needed to discuss amongst ourselves. Our delivery date is set for Sunday, 1/31 2 days from purchase. We also really like the 120 day replace policy if the mattress doesn’t work for us.

Had a fantastic experience in February 2021 at Mattress Firm in Poughkeepsie NY with salesperson Kyle. After being a loyal customer to Raymour and Flanigan for years and having an awful in-store experience with their manager we stopped at Mattress firm. So thankful that we stopped in and met Kyle who was great with both myself my husband and our two young children we picked out a fantastic new mattress that we are extremely happy with and plan to visit again this week to get our toddler a twin bed highly recommend stopping in. While their store may not look as fancy as Raymore and Flanigan the service and product were great. The following day I received a phone call from Raymore and Flanigan corporate letting me know that their manager was incorrect and they wanted to rectify the situation and I told them I had happily made my purchase elsewhere.

I Went to the Poughkeepsie location a week ago on a Wednesday and Kyle showed me a bunch of beds and answered all my questions. I purchased a bed that night and it was delivered Sunday within 30 minutes of the 2 hour window. The delivery guys were in and out and I couldnt be happier with the experience. We made our purchase in Newburgh New York. Our sales person, Reggie, was knowledgeable, friendly and extremely polite. We received our mattress and Remote controlled bedframe within a week of purchase. The men that delivered the mattress/bedframe we’re fast, polite and very careful. Maneuvering the mattress to where it had to go was not an easy task. (The thing weighs a ton.) The mattress is very comfortable and the adjustable bed frame makes reading in bed much easier. Overall a very pleasant experience.

My boyfriend and I were helped by sales associate Erik De Los Rios and it was by far the best shopping/ customer service I have ever experienced. He genuinely cared about finding us the best mattress for our first home and took his service above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Keith at Mattress Firm in Poughkeepsie was amazing to work with. From the moment we walked in we felt comfortable and not being pushed or sold to. He was very knowledgeable in the products and honest in what would and wouldn’t work for us. We shopped around and each place we went to do didn’t give us a good feeling; crowded stores with a busy atmosphere, pushy salespeople, and not as good as of selection. We added on a mattress cover and dog bed for our pups and can’t wait for the mattress to be delivered! Finding free delivery isn’t easy, stores tend to always hide fees, but with a truly free delivery we opted for the add on to have them come in, set it up, and remove our old mattress for such a small fee, it’d cost us more to dump our old mattress ourselves! We’ve been putting off buying a mattress for a long time due to the whole experience of buying furniture and how pushy some stores can be but Keith has completely changed this for us. We’d recommend Mattress Firm for their products and selection as well as Keith for his calmness, knowledge, and professionalism.

I had been looking online for weeks to find a mattress and found the more I looked, the more confused I became. I was nervous about making a big purchase (I have a king size bed so nothing was inexpensive) and then not liking it. I also have back issues and have been thinking my old mattress (a temperpedic) may be contributing to the problem (or at least not helping them) because of its age. Looking at Temperpedic’s I wasn’t prepared to spend over $3000 right now for a new mattress. 😩 What do I do?I saw the MattressFirm store in Poughkeepsie one night on my way home and, on a whim, stopped in to see what the difference was of all the mattresses. After all, how could I possibly make a decision about this kind of purchase simply by looking at it online?I wasn’t planning to actually make a purchase yet...just doing more research and hoping they weren’t going to be pushy salespeople.After looking around for a few minutes I was approached by a nice young man, Jordan. He was extremely knowledgeable and extremely patient with all my questions and if he didn’t know the answer he politely excused himself to go ask someone who did have the answer. He showed me the difference between so many beds and explained how the differences would effect sleep. It was closing time and I wasn’t ready to make a purchase but Jordan again was so polite and just wished me well and told me to continue my research and let him know how he can help. Wow!!! I really wanted to buy something from Jordan because he was so helpful (and I was assuming they get paid on commission) but I wasn’t ready to spend the money on the ones I liked and wasn’t sure I’d be happy with what was in my comfortable price range ☹️ .I prayed about it, hoping I’d be open to spending the higher amount of money so I could give Jordan the sale, but also continuing my research online hoping to find something less expensive.I ended up finding something (from MattressFirm) that was half off because of Black Friday and wondered why the company would undercut their own stores by doing this! So, I went back to the store the next day to see if they had that mattress and if it was one of the ones I tried out. It was a different one but equally as comfortable and they honored the online price. 😳😁Well, at that price it was only a couple hundred more than what I had wanted to spend AND they offered three years at 0% interest. It was a no-brainer and I was finally done agonizing, haha. Even more so, I was happy to be able to give Jordan the sale, especially after finding out he was fairly new at his job...”you will go great places if you choose to, Jordan”!!I am confident I will love my new bed when it arrives and I would highly recommend Jordan and Mattress Firm Poughkeepsie for your purchase. BEWARE OF PURCHASING AND FINANCING A MATTRESS AT THIS STOREI went to this store and there were 2 salesman on the floor, one salesman was rude and made it clear he wasnt interested in helping us. The other salesman Keith M approached me and told me that I could finance a bed for 2 years 0% interest. I told him since it was 0% interest I would finance my bed.He never bothered to tell me that once he ran my credit he had me approved for $5,000.00 for some CREDIT CARD with Synchrony Bank! My mattress was not even close to $5,000.00. He told me I was only financing the amount of my mattress and made it sound like I was simply financing the bed and I will receive a payment booklet in the mail. Instead I received a credit card from Synchrony Bank and it required activation. I called Synchrony Bank and the representative was very rude and nasty to me.I told her that no one has communicated with me concerning my first payment due date and no one has advised my monthly payment amount. . She was very rude and nasty to me and made it clear she did not want to help me. If I had not called Synchrony Bank I would have missed my first payment and would have possibly ruined my credit. I have contacted CNN News and Channel 7 on your side, I will also be filing a complaint with the NY State Dept of Financial Services.

Which is why I am so pleased that the gentelman are so nice. I did have a terrible experience with the delivery guys. I am having someone come back on Friday to adjust the legs. Yesterday, we purchased a mattress from the Mattress Firm on South Road in Poughkeepsie, New York. The Manager at the store assisted us and did a good job. Today, we decided we did not want the mattress and contacted the Manager that sold us the mattress. He tried his best to persuade us to keep the mattress but in the end we decided we did not want it. The Manager did not like our response and rudely said that he will refund our money and hung the phone on my husband. My husband called back and informed the Manager that what he did was poor customer service and that he shouldnt treat people that way.The Manager rudely said he will refund us and hung the phone again. We have never been treated like this anywhere and just for the reason that we simply changed our minds on a product. We are disgusted on how the whole situation was poorly handled!

Staff were willing to work with our needs and our price point. Friendly and understanding of the seriousness of the crisis that we all find ourselves in right now. One customer in the store at a time. Wearing PPE. Had hand sanitizer. Good job guys.
