I’ve been going to this store for many years. But I WILL NOT purchase anything else from them. I had the worse experience. It was a nice day so I decided to walk to this store with my grandson in his stroller. I struggled to get through the door with the stroller. Which is neither here nor there but just to give you a vivid picture of what occurred. I was stopped at the door and lady behind the counter who has seen me many times, was saying something to me. At first I thought she was telling me to get a shopping cart. I’m looking confused cause clearly there are no carts inside this store. So after a few seconds, I figured out what she was saying. She was actually telling me to leave my stroller at the front of the store and take my grandson out while I shopped!!!! Apparently she labeled me a SHOPLIFTER!!! I was livid!!!! I said no ma’am and kindly told her I will NEVER be back to this store!!!! I stop buying hair products from here a long time ago because their stuff is OLD. I wish I could give ZERO stars! All I wanted was an eyebrow pencil. Sorry for long review but don’t spend your money at places that instantly stereotype you especially when ALL of their business come from African Americans!

I go there to buy hair dye. I bought some today, I guess it was old. It started bubbling as soon as I mixed it. They say NO Exchamges

I just moved to Portsmouth not too long ago and let me just say the people in Portsmouth are getting ripped off completely when it comes to hair beauty supply stores. This store in particular the prices are extremely overpriced, the store is unorganized and cluttered and the customer service is terrible the lady at the register will get extremely loud with you and make a scene and try to fuss you out for just asking a question. I asked how much something was because nothing there has a price on it and she tried to fuss me out SAVE YOUR MONEY You will pay double here what you can pay somewhere else

They need a better selection of wigs. Owner is very nice and courteous

Hair is high and not enough wigs to choose from,the same wigs been their since I was a child now I’m 29. the beauty supply stores in victory crossing is cheaper.products on the aisle are dusty as if no1 buys them and the owner watches everyone as if all people steal.

Sometimes, when I was little, my mom and I would come here when we went to Portsmouth. I enjoyed looking at the wigs and other products. We still go occasionally. This Beauty World has more variety than the other Beauty Worlds that I have shopped at.

I went there when the establishment said it opened and nobody was there. I waited for about 20 minutes, and then I left because no one showed.

I have known this place since I was a toddler and they always have everything I didnt know I needed
