The guys behind the counter are friendly, makes you feel like your a part of some unknown family. They dont talk too much but if you are chatty, they wont stop you by any means.

The counterman helped me select an award winning Single malt Irish whiskey and likewise an award winning bourbon. Before he got busy, he made several follow-up recommendations. His statement: l love reading about whiskey, talking about it and drinking whiskey. Passionate and knowledgeable is a good combination. Im very pleased with both purchases and will visit, again.

These guys were so friendly and helpful. They helped me pick out some gifts for my coworkers and suggested a less expensive, higher quality alcohol than the one I had originally asked for! Liked them a lot better than the Arbhor Lodge store, will definitely go back.Only downside, google maps will try to navigate you though a sketchy alley to get to here. But that isnt really the stores fault!

Pretty much the best service youre going to find at a liquor store. EXTREMELY knowledgeable staff, very personable. Prices within a few bucks of other stores, some higher, some lower. Not as big of a selection as the stores out in the burbs, but its a small space and they more than make up for it with their uncanny ability to point you in the right direction.

Open on Christmas. Nice for a guy that worked it as well. Great staff.

Reasonably friendly staff. The prices are what they are because OLCC chooses, so thats not their fault. I just wish I could more easily browse the alcohol.

Good, friendly, quick, and if they happen to be busy then they are the second most efficient liquor store in N Portland. My one complaint is that they keep the liquor behind the counter making it hard to browse, however I know that if they allowed the public access to the shelves the less reputable members of the public would rob them blind so its 110% understandable.

Don’t even bother coming here unless you want to find the very basics, they only sell allocated bottles to restaurants instead of allowing the general general public a chance for even a few of the bottles they have. Will not be returning.

Its small, and being St Johns all their liquor is behind the sales counter... however Ive never come away disappointed and even with their small size, theyve always seemed to have what I want (no matter how obscure the drinks request).

Great selection. If you dont know what you want, one of the clerks is very helpful and knowledgeable. You tell him roughly what you are looking for, and he gives you options at the cheap, middlin and expensive levels to choose from.

I edited the closing time for this liquor store from 7pm to 6pm because they always seem to shut down whenever they feel like it in the last hour. At least now people dont have to be repeatedly disappointed with inaccurate unprofessional time frames for a business.
